CH 19
"there is one more thing to share thanks to some help from sustain people who want to remain anonymous...ET"
then the lights went out then song started then every one turn to look at a wall when a photo projector turn on. Every one could see a blank screen, then it show picture of a baby then it show it was buffer when he was a baby, then it showed Nikki. Every one watch as she show different photos of Nikki and Pete from when they were growing up and when they join the navy.
There was some of them when they were together before Pete left for his tour over in Iran. Then it show one with Nikki holding Nick in her arms. Pete put his arm around Nikki shoulder as she lean towards him as they watch the photos of them selves as they were growing up right up till one from last night dinner at the restaurant.
By then the music stop then there was a blank screen then new music started then it show photos of Nikki and buffer on Hammersley with what they were doing, the looks, every thing even with some of the crew in some of the photos.
They all laugh when they saw Pete dress up in the shredded dress and ET dressing up as Nav at chefo bucks night which cause every one to laugh. There was so many funny photos including one where Nav and Kate spay mouthful of coffee on Mike.
Nikki laugh at that one as she remember it "Is that when spider did the sugar, salt swap" Pete whisper
"Yes"
then it show photo of Nav and Kate with there arms cross and spider on his hands and knees in front of toilet bowel with toothbrush in hand as he look at Nikki. Then another one with ET doing the same. Few minutes later the music ended and the lights were turn on but it was low then they brighten up once again.
"Now every one in this room knows what Buffer and Nav were like from when they were babies right up to now and you can see they both hard workers and good at there jobs. I'm honor to have them on Hammersley as my crew" Mike said
"Even a free coffee spray sir" Nikki yelled out making every one laugh
"i rather drink it then wear it Nav, both you and buffer are more than crew mates, your friends, family. Thank you for inviting Kate and me to share your special day" then Mike pass the microphone to some one else before he sat down. then there was number of other speeches.
When there was no more it was time for desert. Every one love there desert that Nikki and Pete choice. After desert. Pete and Nikki decided to cut the wedding cake since it was pass kids bed time.
When they walk over to there cake. It was five tier round wedding cake with white roses in between each layer and smaller ones on top with navy groom and bride topper with heart shape back round and a small glass anchor hanging from the heart.
When they cut it every one cheer them on. Then they cut it again so they could remove a small piece and put it on a plate, the Pete cut it in half. Then they both pick up the piece of cake and feed each other then they kiss. Then they lick and suck each other fingers to get the rest of the icing then they wipe there hands on napkins that was provided for them.
Then they walk over to talk to some of the guests while the staff took the cake away to be cut up and put into boxes for the ones who are leaving with there kids.
Twenty minutes later the ones who left with kids and cake it was party time starting off when Pete removing the garter and tossing it over his shoulder to the single guys. When the one who raise his arm holding it, every one could see it some one from the navy. Then they laugh when it was chefo who caught it.
When it was Nikki turn, she toss it over her shoulder then turn around to see her niece caught the bouquet. Then they clear the dance floor when they all watch Pete and Nikki dance to there wedding song. They watch them as they slowly dance around the dance floor with there arms around each other as they look into each others eyes. When the song as over they kiss as every one clap. Then they broke apart and turn to every one.
"Before the bridal party join us in the next song... some of us ladies have been helping me with this next dance, so ladies bring your chairs and husbands"
Nikki walk over and got a chair then walk back to the dance floor just as her bridal party, Sally and Kate did the same when they pull there husbands on to the dance floor. They put the chairs in sustain spots and made there husbands sit down on them then they took three steps back then the music started.
Then they started dancing which shock every one but They all knew the song 'man I feel like a women' from Shania Twain then it change to 'that don't impress me much' then it change back to 'man I feel like a women' once again.
Every one clap and cheer the women on as they dance in front and around there shock husbands till they sat on there husband laps with there arm around there neck when the songs finish. Every one clap, cheer and wolf whistle at them. Then they stood then there husband did
"Like my surprise Pete" He look at Nikki then around the room and saw the wife hugging and kissing there husbands.
He look at Nikki then he smile "Pete"
He quickly pick her up and put her over his shoulder "Pete" she said with a squeal then the walk to the double doors.
"If we not back in two hours don't coming looking for us" Pete said
Every one clap and cheer them on as well laugh as Pete took Nikki out of the room then he stop and put her on her feet then pin her against the wall and started kissing her.
When he pulled Back. "Pete"
"what, I wanted to spend few minutes with you before going back in there" He said smiling
"Ah, so you like my surprise"
"Yes I do and I know mum did as well"
"That good"
"but what you were doing to me, Nikki I'm going to punish you"
"Oh what sort of punishment" she said while smiling
"You know what sort"
"Yes I do" they kiss which became passionate.
When they broke for air. "come on let go and join the party"
"Why not but I'm not looking ford to the dancing"
"Why not"
"Hammersley crew" Pete smile
"Well when you need to take a brake, come and sit on my knee then I know you needed a brake"
"thanks Pete"
They kiss once more till buffer cell phone rings which cause them to brake apart. He got it out of his pocket to see it was unknown number, he show it to Nikki before answering it.
"Hello... yes this is Peter Tomaszewski..." He move the phone away
"Police" He whisper so Nikki would know who he talking to
"Yes that right... yes they called my mum on Monday and ask for money so they could come to my wedding... yes that right... no I didn't know they were going to show up till they arrived on yesterday afternoon... ok... what, now" Pete said in shock
"thay want me to do what..." Nikki could see Pete was getting angry so she quickly took the phone out of his hand
"Nikki" she gave him a look he knows all to well
"constable... I'm Nikki Tomaszewski, Peter wife. What seam to be the problem that got my husband up set sir... yes... yes... I see, I'll talk to him, can you hang on... thanks" then she move the phone away
"You sisters want you to bail them out now" Pete was starting to get angry.
"Pete" he look at her then she lean forward and kiss his then whisper in his ear
"save your anger till we get to our room then you can take it out on me" she move back
"what no" He said in shock she lean ford and whisper
"you know the way I like it some times, hard and fast" then she move back and smile and she look around then move her free hand to his crouch and gave it a squeeze while smiling.
Pete relax "but Lisa and Karen"
Nikki thought about it and move the phone to her hear "constable, dose Pete have to show up now... constable now isn't a good time... we both been drinking... yes... and it our wedding day... thank you sir. So there no way Pete going to leave to bail out his sisters tonight... we can do it tomorrow... thank you for being under standing... don't worry about it... yes I'll tell him... yes you can tell them and if they cause you or any other officers any problems tell them from me that I'll make them clean every toilet at the police station for the problems they cause..." Nikki look at Pete and smile
"constable, not with toilet brush... a tooth brush... yes that right, I'm Lieutenant Caetano of royal Australian navy... that right and Pete is petty officer... yes he navy also... ok that would shut them up but any problems during the night mention the word tooth brush... ok you to... thank you sir" then she hung up
"i wish I was a fly on the wall when the constable go and tell your sisters" Nikki said grinning
"You can be a mean women Nikki" he wrap his arms around her wait
"But you love me"
"Yes I do and what you said about them staying the night, good idea"
"Yes it was" they hug and kiss.
"We should return" Pete said
"Yes we should"
she pass him his phone so he could put it back in his pocket then they held on to each other hands as they walk to the double doors and walk back into the room. When they did they walk over to the bar to get a drink when Kate walk over to them
"You two return back early" Kate said
"Police call, Lisa and Karen want Pete to go down and bail them out now" Nikki said
"What now, so why are you here"
"It our wedding day Kate and we not going to let them spoil it"
"your right, but they did spoil it" Nikki smile
"don't worry I brought the green barbie doll out fit with me as a back up"
"Nikki you didn't" Pete said as he turn around and pass her a drink
"I did"
"you know what will happen" Nikki smile
"Yes I do" she kiss him.
"Nikki" she turn around
"hi dad"
"Two hours" He said while smiling
"police called, it spoil the moment" Nikki said
"Ah, so care to dance"
"love to" she turn and pass her drink to Pete
"Here, let the line up begin" Nikki said then she and her dad walk over to the dance floor to dance.
"what did Nikki mean" Kate asked
"Hammersley crew will want at lease one dance with her tonight, that, her brothers, her uncles, my uncles" Kate smile
"i know what she means, I went through it my self. By the end of the night I was dead on my feet"
"She will be fine, she will tell me when she needs a brake"
"Ok" they watch Nikki and her dance around the dance floor then he look over to where his mum is
"Excuse me X"
"sure" Pete walk over to where his mum is who was talking Nichole
"Peter what happen to the two hours?" Vicky asked Pete put the drinks on the table
"Police call and spoil the moment"
"Oh"
"Care to dance mum"
"I was wondering if that was going to happen tonight" she said smiling
"Now you can"
Vicky manage to stand up and held onto Pete arm as they walk over to the dance floor where they dance to a slow song. Then the bridal part join in on the dance floor. Every one smile as they watch the two couples dance around the floor till the song ended. Then Pete walk Vicky back to the table and help her back into the wheel chair
"thank you Peter"
"your welcome mum" then he turn to Nicole
"Care to dance, ma'am" Pete put his hand out which Nicole put her hand in it
"love to Pete"
then she stood up and walk to the dance floor while the other bridal party went to choice some one to dance with. Nikki went and ask mike which he accepted, then she turn to Kate
"don't worry, Kate, don't be more surprise if he ask you next" Nikki said making Kate laugh
"Very funny" Every one enjoy them selves.
After eight dances, Nikki walk over and sat on Pete lap and snuggled up to his side "Tried"
"Feet, not used to new shoes"
"Ah, thirsty"
"Yeah" then she pick up Pete beer and drank the last of it and put it back on the table as she let out a burp
"sorry, I needed that" Her parents laugh
"you will never change Nikki"
"i have dad"
"Want another drink" Pete asked
"Please"
"Can you stand up" Nikki stood up then Pete did.
He pick up her beer glass "I'll be back, what would you like Nikki"
"Lemonade thanks, I don't want to get to drunk tonight" Pete grin
"Why not, hey what do you think now a good time"
"Make it half an hour"
"Ok" Pete walk over to the bar while Nikki sat in his chair.
"what is that about" Her father asked
"you will find out dad" she said smiling.
She look around the room seeing every one having a great time till Pete return. Nikki stood up and step out of the way so Pete could sit down and he put the drinks on the table then Nikki sat on his lap once again.
"I spoke to the bar tender the drinks would be ready in half an hour"
"good" Nikki pick up her lemonade and drank some of it.
Five songs later Pete and Nikki walk out onto the dance floor to dance to a slow song. Nikki was resting her head against his chest as they sway to the music and her eyes were close. There family and friends watch them as they dance till the song ended.
Then one of the crew walk over and ask Nikki to dance which she excepted. So Pete walk over and talk to the DJ for a minute then walk over to the bar to see the bartender making up the drinks. When the song finish Nikki walk over to where Pete is.
"they ready" Pete said
"Ladies and gentlemen please all turn to the bar where the bride and groom are" The DJ said. Every one stop talking and turn to where Pete and Nikki are.
"there is a special drink that Nikki and I want to share with you all. It a drink that the Hammersley crew knows all to well" Pete said
"GUAVA MOJO" Pete and Nikki yelled out at the same time.
The Hammersley crew cheered just as the bar tender put the drinks up on to the bar "Ok every one come and get a drink" Pete said.
He pick up two drinks since he as for a small one to be made up for his mum. Then he took his and hers, over to her while every one went to get theses.
"Here you go mum" He pass it to her before sitting down with his
"so this is the famous Hammersley cocktail drink"
"Yes mum it is" Vicky took a sip of it
"wow it a bit strong"
"I though it might be for you mum"
"It is nice through, thank you"
"your welcome" then Nikki sat on his lap holding her drink
"mum and dad like the drink"
"Really"
"Yeah, Charge said that we could of warn him"
"Why"
"We know he was say it when he gets the drinks"
"Well it was up to us"
"Yes it was" she kiss him then turn to Vicky
"what do you think of the drink Vicky"
"Strong but nice"
"I could get some soda water to added to it"
"no it will be ok"
"ok" they talk while enjoying the drink and seeing the Hammersley crew laugh when others try it for the first time.
Over the next couple of hours every one was enjoying them selves when the late night supper started coming out. It was number of finger food as well cut up wedding cake. After supper people started dancing again.
Andrew, Nichole Vicky and some of the others decided to leave since it was getting late so they said there good byes to Pete and Nikki. When Pete crouch down in front of his mum
"We hope you enjoy your self mum"
"Yes I did thank, it been a wonderful day"
"Yes it has been. Nikki an I will be around about lunch time, we will bring some lunch with us"
"Pete you and Nikki have done so much for me in the past few days"
"We know mum cause we love you"
"I know you do." Pete move so he could give her a hug.
"night mum"
"night Pete" then he stood up and hug his uncle before he push the wheel chair out of the room.
Nikki went into Pete arms "she had a great time today"
"Yes she did" he turn to Nikki and kiss her.
"how are you feeling"
"Good, you"
"Good, lets go and see what the crew are up to"
"Why not" they walk over to where the crew and families are
"Hey buffer, Nav" Charge said
"Charge are you all enjoying your selves?" Pete asked
"Yes we are any one knows what time it is?" ET asked
"It after one" Swain said
"Really, wow. Every one sure are enjoying them selves"
"Yes they are" Nikki said
"How long can we stay here till" Swain asked
"three"
"another two hours, cool" spider said.
"We going talk to other family" Nikki said
"ok" They walk away leaving the crew to talk and laugh.
Nikki and Pete talk to other family members for the next half hour plus letting them know what time they got the room till. Then they walk over and spoke to the bar tender before leaving to head to there hotel room while every one else carry on partying.
