Edit 2/20/24: Fixed a typo

Hi everyone! So, I started working on this chapter on Thursday, but I stopped to go to my grandparents' house to help my grandmother with some stuff in her house. I had more to do there yesterday too and I was too tired to work on this later on. But now I can write this chapter again! I hope you all enjoy this one!

"Has anyone seen Ludwig?" Clawdia asked her children and husband. She found them in the living room of the castle and saw that everyone except her oldest son was there.

"I remember seeing him going to Meringue Clouds yesterday. He's probably still there. But, I think he was disguised as a human for some reason." Lemmy replied.

"Now that I think about it, some of my soldiers are missing too." Bowser said.

"Is he doing something at Meringue Clouds?" Iggy asked while playing with his daughter Tammy.

"Maybe he's planning on moving there and wants some more soldiers to protect his castle?" Morton wondered.

"Something doesn't feel right. He would've told us if he was moving out. Maybe I should call him, just to make sure he's alright." Clawdia said as she pulled out her phone. Before she could click on Ludwig's name, the Koopa family heard a familiar voice at the entrance of the living room.

"Hello everyone!" They looked to the entrance to see Ludwig standing there. As they looked at him, everyone began to feel confused. Ludwig was now wearing a gold and silver crown with blue and red jewels, a blue cap, and on the top sat a small figure with his emblem on it.

"Sorry I didn't say anything when I left yesterday. I was in a hurry." He added.

Iggy was the first to speak up. "Ludwig? Where did you get that crown from?"

"Oh this? I made it with my magic." Ludwig replied, pointing to the crown on his head.

"What for?" Roy asked.

"Well," Ludwig smirked, "I am now the new Emperor of the Cloud Empire!"

Everyone gasped at what he said. Ludwig's smirk grew more as he saw how shocked Bowser Jr was.

"Emperor?!" Bowser exclaimed. Ludwig nodded, still smirking.

"Whoa! That's amazing, Ludwig! Can we see the Cloud Empire?" Larry said.

"Of course! That's actually why I came here. I wanted to give everyone a tour of the empire." Ludwig explained.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go already!" Lemmy cheered.

"Wow!" Clawdia gasped as she looked around. The Koopa family arrived at the Cirrus Kingdom. This kingdom was beautiful! There so many Lakitus and Goombas outside today. They also saw a few Toads and humans, but some looked a little afraid of the royal Koopa family.

Ludwig gave his family a tour of the Cirrus Kingdom, showing them the many shops and buildings in the area. Their next stop was the Cumulus Kingdom, where Ludwig showed them the concert hall. He couldn't wait to play his new music there! He then showed them some fun areas in the Stratus Kingdom, and then finally, they arrived at the Nimbus Kingdom. They noticed that each kingdom had a different type of cloud surrounding it. The ones in the Nimbus Kingdom being more dark-gray than the others.

Once they entered the Nimbus Kingdom castle, Ludwig showed them around. He showed them the throne room, the dining hall, and the many bedrooms. Bowser looked around in amazement.

"Wow son! This is great!" He exclaimed. Bowser Jr looked up at his older brother, a little confused.

"I don't get it, Ludwig. What's so cool about being an emperor? Isn't it the same as being a king?" He asked.

"Well Junior, a King can rule over one territory while an Emperor rules over multiple territories. Plus, emperor is a higher title than king." Ludwig explained, smirking again.

"Wow! That's kinda cool!" Junior replied.

"Of course it is!" Ludwig chuckled.

"Yeah. I don't care if Junior's the next king of Darkland anymore. I'm emperor now! I have the higher title!" Ludwig thought to himself.

"So, does this mean that you'll live here now?" Clawdia asked, slightly frowning.

"Don't worry, Mother. I'll still visit you guys." Ludwig smiled, trying to cheer his mother up.

Then, a thought came to Wendy.

"Wait a second. Ludwig, what did you do with the last emperor?" She asked.

"Follow me." Ludwig replied.

Ludwig led his family through the halls until they arrived at the dungeon. They went inside and passed by the empty cells until they arrived at the one trapping Emperor Skylar and his family. The rest of the Koopas gasped as they saw the humans behind the bars.

"You won't get away with this!" Skyla yelled at Ludwig.

"I think he already did." Larry chuckled.

"We'll get out of here and take our empire back! I know it!" Amaya exclaimed, making the Koopa family laugh as they left the dungeon.

"Hahaha! Those idiots really think they'll escape!" Junior laughed.

"Yeah! Looks like the only way to get out is with a key." Lemmy said.

"They'll be trapped in there for a long time!" Clawdia replied.

"Haha! Well, why don't you all stay here for the night? There's plenty of rooms for everyone." Ludwig suggested.

"Yeah! I wanna explore the empire again!" Lemmy cheered.

"That's a wonderful idea, Lulu." Clawdia smiled.

"Great! Let's head back upstairs so you guys can choose a room to sleep in." Ludwig replied and led his family to the guest bedrooms.
