Hey everyone!
What's this? A double update month? I mean I am at my dad's house for the week and have some time to update now. It's been a busy few days but I'm hanging in there. I have been ill as well. Hope May is going well for you all.
Lots of love,

Finally Belonging Somewhere – Part 123:
"Right you two," Meredith said, "it's time to get you two back to the cottage and Miss Aurora into the bath before bedtime," she said and Draco looked up and watched as his aunt waved her wand to dry Aurora's feet so she could put her shoes back on.
The witch led her niece and nephew back to the cottage and Aurora swiftly went upstairs for her bath. It had been decided that Draco would be told about Abraxas but the truth be kept from Aurora for now. The girl was too young to know properly but Draco needed to be told as this would directly affect him and what was going to happen to him.
Lucius had shut himself away in the office so he wouldn't give anything away to Aurora. Draco thought that was odd but he never said anything as he had a feeling that Aurora wasn't meant to know yet so he didn't say anything.
Narcissa focussed on Aurora as she was tired and, once she was sure her daughter was asleep, she headed back downstairs to find Lucius had rejoined them and Draco could tell that something was wrong.
"What's wrong? Has something happened?" he asked and Lucius sighed and looked at his son. He went to try and say something but he found that words failed him.
It was Priscilla who moved to sit next to Draco.
"Your Grandfather has contracted Dragon Pox," she said as she looked at Draco, taking a hand in her own. "The diagnosis was confirmed this morning."
"But… he'll survive won't he?" Draco asked. "He will be fine?"
"He will die within the year… There is nothing that can be done for him," Priscilla said as she looked at her grandson.
Draco sat there in silence and he bit lip as he tried to process what had been said and he looked at his parents hoping that it was some kind of joke. Their faces said all he needed to know and the reality of everything sank in for Draco. His Grandfather really was dying.
"I cannot believe it. Grandfather Abraxas has been formidable and indestructible and now…"
"I know my boy," Priscilla said as she wrapped an arm around Draco and kissed his head softly. "We have to face the fact that he will not be here in a year's time."
"But Aurora…"
"We cannot tell her yet," Narcissa said. "We have to speak to Jen first and keep her memories as happy as we can until that time comes when we have to reveal the truth to her. It's cruel, I know, but we have to do it for now."
Draco glanced towards the stairs and thought of his little sister who would be oblivious to what was happening for as long as possible. He could understand the reason though. Aurora may not understand and could react badly… well she would anyway but, and this he agreed on, getting Jen's advice was a good thing so they could prepare for what would happen after Aurora was told.
He excused himself and headed to his bedroom and was soon followed by Meredith and the aunt held her nephew close as she'd done when he was a little boy and watched as he fell asleep,
The next morning arrived and the sunshine was the polar opposite to the swirling storm of emotions that was clouding some members of the family. It was the day before the Greengrasses and Charlotte and Ellie were due to arrive and Narcissa was making sure everyone was ready for their outing to the nearest town to make sure that they had everything that would be needed. Priscilla had gone home soon after breakfast and that was something Lucius was both grateful and ungrateful for. Meredith was staying with her brother, sister-in-law and niece and nephew as that was where she felt she needed to be at that moment in time.
Eventually the group headed to the nearby town and Aurora was taking in the sights and sounds of the village as she walked between Narcissa and Meredith. It seemed everyone knew who she was… even if she had no idea who they were. She frowned a few times and Meredith chuckled softly.
"We're rather famous in this part of the world," she explained to her niece. "That is everyone know who you are. They know you're the lost child who was found."
"But I am not the lost child. I am Aurora Malfoy and I am lost no more. They shouldn't call me the lost child," she said and frowned again and watched some onlookers.
"They shouldn't but you will be always known as that in a way but that isn't who you are anymore," Meredith said with a nod and she looked at her niece before they rushed to catch up with the rets of the family and Meredith nodded at Narcissa.
The group moved from shop to shop, picking up things they needed and things they didn't but that was always going to happen with Aurora wanting pretty much everything that she could see.
Aurora smiled as she walked with a bag carrying her new dresses because she could never have had enough dresses. It seemed like Aurora was going to be a dresses girl, much to her mother's delight.
"We shall have to see what dresses we can get adjusted to fit you Aurora. You're starting to grow taller at last," Narcissa said, "and maybe see what dresses you wish to keep or put away for a while."
Aurora looked at her mother and nodded, keeping the bag with her new dresses close as they walked into the bookshop. It would be another shop where Aurora would get things but Narcissa was starting to feel guilty about not telling her but she knew it had to be that way, at least for a while. She smiled and watched her daughter as she looked at the books thankful she had a form of distraction from everything that was happening.
