Raised on an island and trained in the arts of thievery, 'Dark Fox' (Naruto) and 'Black Sheep' (Carmen) find out the truth of the school. They then leave, and decide to steal back what was stolen and return everything back to the people.

1. Chapter 1

The Anti Thieving Duo

Chapter 1 - Becoming Carmen Sandiego and Naruto Uzumaki

For those of you that have seen the anime, hope that you enjoy the fanfic. The idea came to me after watching the show, and it wouldn't go away as I kept getting ideas for it. I only own any OC's that might appear in this fanfic, all others belong to their rightful owners.

In the streets of Paris, a car was driving about with two people inside it, a man who was driving and a woman in the passenger seat.

"An interesting last few weeks, with these thieves Carmen Sandiego and Naruto Uzumaki managing to rob millions of dollars combined from a Swiss bank, a high end art gallery in Cairo and a Shanghai amusement park" said the man in a French accent. (I don't know how to do accents, so you'll have to use your imagination)

The man was known as Chase Devineaux, a French Interpol inspector. And the woman next to him was his partner, Julia Argent.

Julia was looking at some pictures on a tablet, as she said "Before vanishing without a trace every single time. And headquarters is yet to discern any pattern, except that our perpetrators always wear a scarlet coat and fedora for Miss Sandiego, and a short sleeved red coat with black flames along the bottom along with a red diamond shaped hat for Mr Uzumaki."

She went from picture to picture, which showed the two they were talking about standing in different and various places. She continued saying, "And it seems they announce their crimes by making random public appearances beforehand."

"Such as the nearby cafe sighting today," Chase said. He put his hand to his chin, as he asked out loud "So then we must ask ourselves, who in the world is Carmen Sandiego and Naruto Uzumaki? And why on earth would thieves draw attention to themselves by leaving clues and wearing such bold colours?"

"It could be that stealing is a game to them," Julia said in thought.

"Nuh-huh, the game is over. They are both in my jurisdiction now. Though I do question why," he said as he looked out the window.

Julia looked out her window, as she said "Poitiers is rich with medieval history. Perhaps they are targeting a priceless antique, or a historic artifact from one of its many churches."

As they drove along, they didn't notice two shadows down an alleyway that ran out once they'd driven past them.

Chase suddenly stopped the car, which took Julia by surprise. "Miss Argent, you are an agent of Interpol not a museum guide," he said to her as she pushed her glasses up after they'd slid forward from the quick stop. "So you may stop sharing dull facts about boring things" as he waved his hand in the air, as though to get rid of the boring stuff he just heard.

He rubbed his fingers on his left hand, as he said "You've been on the force for nearly a fortnight have you not?" while looking out the window.

Julia was also looking out her window, while absently looking at the side mirror when she saw the two people that they were just talking about running across the street. Julia was surprised, as she turned around to look back and make sure she wasn't seeing things before she faced the front and said "Uh…."

Meanwhile Chase was still talking, not realising what was going on "You have so much to learn, and since you have been assigned to my department I Chase Devineaux, will have to be your teacher."

"Inspector Devineaux sir," Julia said, trying to tell him what she'd just seen.

He put his finger up as he wagged it a little, saying "Nuh-huh-huh" making her go quiet. "Sit back, watch and learn how to catch these thieves."

"They're both right there," Julia said to him with an irritated tone as she pointed at the back of the car.

"Huh?" Chase said, as he looked out the back of the car to see two people fire grappling hooks to a rooftop before they flew up.

"La Femme Rouge! l'homme blond!" Chase shouted out in shock. He quickly turned back around to face the front, and slammed his foot on the accelerator which caused the tires to spin and smoke to appear as he drove the car forward to turn it around, scraping against a building as he did.

He skidded to a stop at the building where the two had fired their grappling hooks, and both he and Julia got out to see the two of them just disappearing over the edge onto the roof.

After getting over his shock, Chase said to Julia "Remain here" as he closed his car door.

"And radio for assistance?" Julia asked him.

"No, these two are mine" Chase replied as he hopped over the hood of the car, and ran off as he followed them to their destination.

With the two that the police were chasing, they'd just arrived at the top of the building with Carmen standing with one of her feet placed on a small chimney while Naruto stood with his arms crossed over his chest, with both having confident grins on their faces.

Carmen was also wearing a black catsuit underneath her scarlet coat that has a golden triangle zipper, black gloves, and black heeled shoes, while Naruto wore an orange and black jacket with orange pants and dark blue combat boots. He also had escrima sticks sheathed across his lower back, and they could join together to make a bo-staff. He also had six whisker like birthmarks on his cheeks, with three being on each one.

"On top of the world," Carmen said. Naruto gave a nod, as he said "And that's just the way we like it."

"Hey, we can see La Cathédrale Saint-Pierre from here" Naruto then said as they looked off into the distance, before they both heard a crackle on the comms they both had in their ears and someone saying {"Some friendly advice guys, save the sightseeing for after the job."}

Naruto and Carmen both gave a light chuckle at that, then Carmen said "Player, glad to hear you're on board." Naruto gave a nod, as he added "Yeah things are more interesting and exciting with you helping us."

{"You guys know that I wouldn't miss a night out with you for the world,"} their friend and techxpert Player said. {"Now let's get this party started"} before they heard a creak of a chair being leaned back, and crack of knuckles then a click of buttons on a computer keyboard.

"Virtual Paris sure does look lovely this time of year, touring through France and locking onto your positions over in Poitiers, and we're synced" Player said as it showed a computer version of France, before showing one of Poitiers with a red hat symbol showing Carmen's location and a blonde one for Naruto. (I did this, cause having two red hats would be confusing. So I went with them having coloured hats, to go with the colour of their hair)

"And if our intel is accurate, then your next stop on your sightseeing tour of historic Poitiers should be….about 50 yards dead ahead" Player told them as he typed it all out on his computer.

Naruto looked at Carmen, as he said "Race ya there babe." Carmen replied, "Oh your so on honey" before they both ran across the rooftops heading for their destination.

"How're we doing, Player? What's our temperature?" Naruto asked him. {"Warm blondie."}

They both slid down a roof, before jumping to the next one with Carmen flipping in the air while Naruto cartwheeled. They jumped across some more rooftops, as Player told them {"Getting warmer"} as they ran on the roof of an estate building. Player then said {"And your red hot"} as Naruto slid to a stop moments before Carmen did.

Naruto gave a fist pump, before he said "Sorry sweetie looks like I won."

Carmen gave a slight shake of her head with a smile, and then gave him a quick peek on the cheek before saying "You're lucky that you're cute Naruto."

{"How is it that you have a girlfriend Naruto?"} Player asked him, wanting to know his secret.

Naruto replied "By making sure that you have lots of game and charm my good fellow" as he and Carmen had grappling guns slide out of their sleeves, before shooting the grappling hook to the chimney high up and pulling themselves up to the higher roof.

They flew up and over the chimney with the hook letting go and when they landed, they whipped their grappling lines back into place with the gun going back into the sleeves, before walking to a roof window.

Carmen pulled out a lipstick case from her jacket, and then took the lid off. Naruto couldn't help making a joke, as he said "Though I don't mind you putting lipstick on, please only do it when we go on a date."

Carmen shook her head with a smile, before pushing a button as a USB stick slid out of the top. She then kneeled down next to a security box and after opening it stuck the USB into a slot which then made the bottom light up red, as it allowed Player to hack into any security in the building.

On Players computer, he was typing away as he said "Analyzing frequencies, decrypting the security codes….and alarms are disabled" as he pressed a button on his computer that shut down all security in the building.

Carmen's lipstick USB bottom changed green, letting them know that it was safe to enter the building. After taking it out of the slot, and putting it away they were getting ready to enter when Player said {"But I'm picking up another signal"} which took them by surprise.

Player typed away some more on his computer, as he said "It could be a trap."

Naruto took out a pen looking device, before saying "Well then let's find out" and started cutting through the lock keeping the window shut.

Once that was done, they opened it up as Player said {"Watch your step in their guys."}

They had their grapple hooks grab onto the window edge, and lowered themselves into the building. They stopped just inches above the floor, as Carmen said "Watch our steps."

The mask's eyes along the right wall started blinking red, as arrows were fired from their mouths at the two of them. Naruto was quick enough to kick a shield on a table next to them to Carmen,while at the sametime unhooking his grapple hook from the window edge. Carmen did the same thing when she grabbed the shield, who used it to stop the arrows from hitting them.

Carmen then said, "Well looks like this just became a whole lot less" as she 'twinged' one of the arrows.

They then started walking through the estate, all the while Chase Devineaux had just arrived at the building and kicked the door open. He looked up, at the top floor before looking back down as he ran for the elevator.

After getting into the elevator, he closed the slide door with the double doors closing after. He then pushed the button for the top floor, and with a sour look on his face the elevator started going up….at a snail's pace. He looked around before saying "Why must the elevator date back two centuries? WAS NO ONE IN SUCH A HURRY BACK THEN?" he finished by shouting the last part as he raised his arms in anger.

Meanwhile, Carmen had her ear placed against a wall as she said "Okay who walls up an atrium? " before knocking on it lightly. Naruto gave a shrug, as he said "Obviously someone wants to keep some of their collection private."

{"Anyone who values storage over a natural way"} Player added.

Carmen had a smile as she said, "He said a little too knowingly" while lifting lids off jars and looking around for something.

{"Don't judge,"} Player said. {"I'm quite happy here in my dark little cave."}

Carmen then looked at some candles in the wall, before she quirked her eyebrow in interest. She walked over to it, and pulled it towards her as she and Naruto heard a 'click' before they heard something shifting as the wall moved out and to the left, revealing a safe door behind it.

"Looks like you called it Player," Naruto said before he opened his coat which had an assortment of different tools in pockets, saying "Now just need the right tool for the job" as he looked them over before saying "Ah this one works" and pulled his choice out of the coat pocket.

He placed it on the safe's door, which made the device activate as it had numbers randomly running on its screen as it decoded the safe's code numbers to unlock it.

With Chase, he was still riding in the elevator and dragging his hands down his face at how slow the elevator was moving. The elevator finally 'dinged' as the double doors opened, with Chase pushing the sliding door open as he left the elevator only to gasp….as he'd only gone up one flight of stairs. He then looked up, and saw that he still had quite a way to go before he then ran up the stairs hoping to catch the two thieves in time.

Back with them, the device had finally cracked the safe's code as it gave a beep before Player said {"The safes been cracked"} where they then heard the safes locking mechanisms sliding away with thud and a groan before the door creaked open. When it did, both Naruto and Carmen were very happy at what they saw behind the door especially when they focused on what they were after; a jewel sitting on a pedestal at the end of the hallway.

"The Eye of Vishnu" Naruto said, as they both walked into the vault to grab what they came for and get out of there. Before Carmen did however, she looked off to the right and saw something that made her gasp in shock.

{"What is it Red?"} Player asked her out of curiosity.

"I'm staring at something I thought I'd never ever set eyes on ever again" she told him before walking over to what she'd seen.

Naruto poked his head out to see what caught Carmen's attention, before he saw what she'd seen and he too was surprised. And he was even more surprised, when he saw something he thought he would never be able to see again either.

Carmen was stunned as she walked over to a glass cabinet, with Naruto not far off behind her.

{"It better be more valuable than a shiny blue gemstone that's bigger than my head"} Player said. Carmen crossed her arms, as she asked him "Define valuable?" She then put her hand on the glass looking at the item fondly, as she added "After all, they say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Naruto nodded his head in agreement, as he too touched the glass and looked at what caught his gaze fondly.

Player had an unsure look on his face, before saying "Are you going to tell me what it is Red, or…." before he was cut off by a banging noise as a look of worry crossed his face.

Carmen and Naruto both had the same look, as they looked at the locked double doors where the banging noise was coming from as they heard "Interpol, open this door" along with the door handles being turned.

{"Bag the gem and get out of there already you guys"} Player told them urgently. Carmen looked from the door, to the glass cabinet before she gave a smirk with Naruto doing the same, as he had a feeling he knew what Carmen had planned.

On the other side of the door, Chase was trying to force it open by ramming his shoulder against it. He shouted out "I said open up already" as he rammed against the doors some more. He then stepped back a fair bit, before rushing the doors which made them burst open as he ran into the room.

He then stopped, as he saw Carmen and Naruto giving him a confident smirk as Carmen pulled the strings tight on a bag.

"Stop you thieves," Devineaux demanded, before he ran at them with the two doing the same. Carmen kicked a footstool at him, which made the detective stop as it hit his knees. They then both jumped up and flipped so their hands landed onto Chase's shoulders to push him over as he hit the ground with a groan and a thud.

"And on whose authority?" Carmen said, with them both crossing their arms over their chests. Naruto then gave a nod, as he said "Yeah, and why would we stop anyway?"

Chase got up off the floor, and smoothed out his hair before opening his jacket to reach into his pocket while saying "On the authority of….uh" as he couldn't find his badge. He then heard Naruto saying "Inspector Chase Devineaux of Interpol" as he was looking at what was written on the badge's wallet, with Chase stunned and shocked they were able to grab it from him.

Carmen looked at him, as she said "Chase huh? Mhm, let's see what's in the name shall we?" Naruto gave a nod, as he threw the badge back at Chase as it hit him in the face before he caught it as it fell down.

Making sure he put his badge away, he ran towards Carmen and Naruto who then fired their grappling hooks and got out of reach just as Devineaux tried to grab them. Chase turned around, just to see the tail ends of the coat/jacket leaving through the open roof window.

After getting over his shock, he then saw them running past the glass windows, before he ran and pushed the double glass windows open. "I order you both to stop," he commanded as he pointed at them.

They did so, as they looked back and saw him edging along on a narrow ledge to reach them. "Sure thing" Naruto said to him, before Carmen added "But you didn't really say for how long," before they continued running with Devineaux chasing after them as he growled out "It was implied."

The two thieves then started roof hopping, and sometimes doing it in a zigzag pattern as Chase watched on before following after them and being careful as he did so as he wasn't as agile as them.

As Naruto and Carmen ran, they looked back and saw that Devineaux was still after them who was panting as he ran, and having to back up at times to make a jump from one roof to another and making a little 'yelp' of fear as he did so.

The two eventually stopped running, and slid down a slanted roof before reaching the roof's edge with some stones falling onto the Inspectors car with Julia looking up and gasping in shock and surprise at what she saw.

Naruto and Carmen looked back at Chase with a smile each, who gave a confident smug look thinking that he'd caught the two of them before he carefully went down the roof.

"Au revoir" they both said together, with Carmen waving her fingers at him before they jumped off the roof edge with Carmen holding onto her hat. They both went about halfway down, before gliders suddenly appeared from backpacks on their backs; a red for Carmen and a yellow for Naruto as they flew off.

"Huh," Julia gasped in shock and surprise while Chase was just stunned speechless, as a piece of tile beneath his feet crumbled and sent him sliding to the roof's edge. He tried to steady so as not to fall, before he did so onto his car making Julia gasp a bit in fright as she was still watching the two thieves flying away, and for his car alarm to go off.

The Inspector then slowly slid off the car, while groaning as he did so. When he hit the ground, he moaned out in pain.

Julia quickly got out of the car to check on him, while holding her hands to her mouth with a look of worry on her face. She grabbed his car keys, and turned off the car's alarm.

Julia then said "Did you just…." before she was interrupted when Chase quickly stood back up saying "Never mind that." He then asked "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego and Naruto Uzumaki?" as he looked in the sky for them.

Both Carmen and Naruto were gliding along quite nicely, and as they were they noticed a train passing underneath them.

"Hey looks like our train, and we're right on time too," Naruto said as Carmen nodded in agreement.

{"Like you guys ever aren't"} they heard Player say over the comms. {"Take a purchase for a cabin for two aaaannnndddd uploading now"} as they took their phones out, and saw that the train tickets Player had bought for them was downloaded.

Back with Chase and Argent, they were trying to think where the two had gone.

"They've got to land sometime," Julia said while Chase was pacing in thought. "How far could they possibly get?" Julia asked out loud while looking at Chase, as though expecting him to answer.

That's when Chase lifted his head, as he said in realisation "They're heading for the train station." He then ran round to the drivers side of his car, while saying to Julia "Secure the crime scene" and hoped inside, then said "Deduce what was stolen" as he started up the car, and headed off for the train station, leaving a cloud of smoke in his wake which made Julia cough and wave her hand to get rid of it, along with a look of disgust.

Both Naruto and Carmen angled their gliders towards a big enough area to land, and once they did they had the gliders fold away back into the backpacks and did a quick wardrobe change on the other side of a train, and when they reappeared Carmen was wearing red and white sneakers with blue socks, dark blue jeans, a black t-shirt and a red hoodie while tying her hair into a ponytail.

While Naruto was wearing a pair of white sneakers with green socks, brown shorts, a grey t-shirt and a purple jacket that was left unzipped with a silver cap now resting on top of his head. Carmen was also carrying a red and black sports bag over her shoulder, while Naruto had an orange and blue one with a black strip along the sides.

They both boarded the train, while Chase was driving along with his head poking out the drivers window since his windscreen was cracked. He'd just arrived at the train station, just as the train was leaving.

"Ngh" he groaned in frustration as he slammed his fist on the steering wheel, which made the glass shatter completely on his windscreen, making Devineaux look unhappy about it just as his airbag went off, squishing him against the seat.

With Julia, she was riding the elevator up (even though it was just leaving the ground floor) and was looking around in disbelief at how slow it was. Her phone then rang, and seeing it was her partner calling answered it saying "Inspector, you have good news I hope."

{"Miss Argent - Julia,"} Chase said with Julia looking confused and suspicious at how he sounded. {"You are the smartest person that I know,"} Chase continued saying, which made her look at her phone weirdly at how Chase was being all nice to her, unlike before. {"So tell me please,"} Chase asked her, as he was driving along, "Is it possible for an automobile to catch a moving train? While driving aggressively of course."

"Well, I'm really not much of a math detective" Julia told him. She then gained a look of concentration, as she continued with saying "But I suppose it depends upon how many stops the train will make and for how long at each one."

Chase gave a small chuckle at hearing that, as he said "Then perhaps I shall be able to catch the little red robbing hood, and her blonde partner" before hanging up as he drove after the train.

Onboard the train, both Naruto and Carmen had arrived at the cabin they'd be using, and pressed the button to open the double doors. "First class, huh" Naruto said as Carmen added "Sweet."

Player leaned back against his chair, putting his feet on the desk as he said "My treat fellas. You've both earned it."

After putting their bags down on the seats, they pulled out the bag that had their prize from the heist they'd just pulled. They were just getting ready to open it, when the doors to their cabin opened which took them by surprise.

They were even more surprised, when they heard a familiar voice saying "Well, well" along with hearing something electronic extending. They both turned around, and saw someone they didn't expect to see wearing an electricians outfit as he said "A blast from the past eh" before he pressed a button on the device he was holding, which sent out an electric blast.

In Player's room, he was watching as their hat symbols showed them travelling along the train tracks, when they suddenly disappeared from his screen. He quickly tapped a key, as he asked "Guys, can you hear me?" in worry for them. He then started typing rapidly on his computer, to try and get a connection again.

Carmen dropped the bag she was holding onto the floor, as she shook off the shock with Naruto doing the same thing. Carmen said, "Dude seriously" with Naruto adding "Static cling."

"A side effect of the directional EMP," their unwanted and unexpected guest said. "So you can both forget about using your phones or reaching for ya fancy toys, as they're now dead."

Carmen reached down and picked up the bag she dropped, while Naruto said "We know how an electromagnetic pulse works, Grey." Carmen nodded, as she said "Yeah remember, you weren't the only one to pass Dr Bellam's class."

The two of them sat down next to each other, with Carmen pointing across them offering a seat for Grey, which he walked towards as she said "And you honestly didn't think that we'd take your bait, without checking for any tracking devices. Did you Grey?" she asked at the end, which left him quite stunned.

Naruto had a smug look, as he said "That's right. We wanted you to find us," which left Grey scowling at that. Naruto continued saying "I think that it's time we tied up loose ends" as Grey sat down.

"You two were the only loose ends," Grey said while pointing his electro stick at them, as he continued with a smug look on his face "That is, until five seconds ago. When I captured the elusive Carmen Sandiego and Naruto Uzumaki." He then narrowed his eyes a little, as he said "Or should I call you both; Black Sheep and Dark Fox."

They both gave smirks at that, as they remembered how they met Grey for the first time.

(Flashback Starts)

A younger Carmen and Naruto were sitting in a classroom with others that were around their age, or older.

Standing on a stage, was a strong wrestler looking woman. "Welcome to V.I.L.E Training Academy for thieves. V I L E, which stands for Valuable Imports Lavious Exports" as she gave a wink at the end.

She continued with saying, "We traffic stolen goods to the four corners of the globe. You've each been hand picked for our one year program, due to the extraordinary potential you've each demonstrated."

She then sternly said "My name is Coach Brunt and here are my house rules; Rule 1: No contact with the outside world, that means no portable electronic devices allowed" as she crushed it in her grip, with a cruel smile on her face.

This made some of the students gasp in shock at seeing that, while Carmen and Naruto were looking on with intrigue.

Coach Brunt then continued, as she said "And Rule 2 is first names only, until you each get assigned your code name. Isn't that right Lambkins, Whiskers?"

They both gave embarrassed smiles, as they tried to make themselves look smaller.

A younger Grey said in a haughty tone, "Lambkins and Whiskers? Ha, who knew that V.I.L.E Academy had two mascots" before he started laughing.

Both Naruto and Carmen gave surprised looks at that, before they both scowled at him. They then each grabbed a shoulder, and pulled him over backwards over the chair which made him stop laughing as he said "Woah!" in surprise.

Carmen scowled down at him, as she said "Only my friends call me Lambkins" as Naruto added "And only my friends call me Whiskers." They then both said "My codenames Black Sheep/Dark Fox." Carmen then asked him "Do you understand?" with Naruto then saying "Nod if you understand."

Grey did so a few times, as he said "Uh-huh." Some of the other students were quite surprised at seeing this happen.

(Flashback ends)

Grey gave a chuckle, as he said "You both really schooled me the day we first met."

Naruto shrugged his shoulders saying "Meh", as Carmen said "Well we thought that you should know who you were dealing with."

Grey's smile vanished, as he said "Well it seems I still don't know who I'm dealing with." He cocked his eyebrows, as he said "The slick red hat and coat, the red coat with black flames along the bottom, the exotic new names. Who are you two, really?" he then questioned at the end, while scowling at them.

"Professional thieves, just like you" Carmen said with a smug smile, as Naruto added "But maybe just a little bit better."

Grey shook his head slightly, as he said "No. The two of you weren't like the rest of us." He then asked curiously "How'd you two end up in crime school anyway?"

"You want the whole story?" Naruto asked him, as he gave him a questioning look.

"Your time runs out as soon as we reach Paris," Grey told them. "So you better make it count."

They both gave a sigh, as Naruto started their story.

"From what we've been told, we were both found as babies. Abandoned by the side of the road just outside of Buenos Aires, Argentina." Carmen then took over, as she said "A set of Russian nesting dolls for me, and a small statue of a ninja for Naruto were our only belongings."

(Flashback starts)

A house shows the nesting dolls on a window sill, with the biggest one slightly burned while the ninja statue is on a dresser. Outside, a young Naruto and Carmen were playing with a ball as they kicked it between themselves.

"The two of us were brought to an island paradise, which also happened to have a school for thieves. That's right, it was V.I.L.E Academy and it was no grade school," Naruto explained. "But, we were homeschooled by a revolving door of nannies. Some taught us how to read and write, and most taught us about the diverse places they were from."

Young Naruto and Carmen were shown learning how to read and write, and how to pronounce the places the nannies were from.

"Istanbul, not Constantinople" Carmen said to where one of the nannies was pointing on a globe. While Naruto said "Germany, not France" to where another nanny was pointing on another globe.

Naruto also added, "They also taught us their languages and cultures."

One of the nannies had a book opened before the two of them, with them both squinting at the words before Carmen said "Uh, ni hao" while Naruto said "Um, zaijian."

They were then both shown to be dancing a Spanish dance, while wearing Spanish clothing before they both said "Olé" at the same time.

"We were found without a note, or any kind of ID" Carmen explained. She then half jokingly said "So guess who got their codenames early?"

Both Naruto and Carmen were a little older as they walked through V.I.L.E Academy, with some of the older students attending their greeting them both.

"Hey Black Sheep."

"How's things, Dark Fox?"

"What's up you two?" one of them said, as he ruffled their hair as he walked past. This annoyed the two of them, before they both smirked as Black Sheep pulled out a belt she was holding, while Dark Fox did the same with some money they'd both grabbed from him.

"Not your pants that's for sure," Black Sheep told him as she held his belt up, as his pants fell down. Dark Fox also added "Or your money" while waving it at him, before they both ran off after Carmen dropped the belt. This left the older student shocked at what happened to him.

"We got to hang out with all the big kids on campus, and we were literally the only kids on The Isle of V.I.L.E" Naruto said.

Dark Fox and Black Sheep were hiding behind some pillars, as two men were cleaning the hallway while some students were either avoiding them as they worked, or leaned against the walls/pillars reading.

They both then ran out, and Black Sheep grabbed the two bars of soap from one of the cleaners hands while Dark Fox grabbed two more from the trolley they were using. After placing them on the floor, they stood on the bars of soap to slide down the hallway leaving the cleaners, and any students watching in disbelief, with some students getting out of their way.

"And since we were the only kids on the island," Naruto said in a cheeky tone. "We could basically get away with murder."

A boat pulled up at the jetty on the island, and behind some rocks were Dark Fox and Black Sheep. They were both holding a balloon each, and they were filled with water.

A man stood on the jetty, talking into a phone as he said "Requesting clearance" before he heard a beeping as confirmation. He then hung up, and put the phone in his top jacket pocket before turning to the boat and helping a woman off it, while another man was also getting off the boat too. The woman wore a scarlet coat and fedora, while the man with her wore a short sleeved red coat with black flames along the bottom.

As the three were walking along the jetty, both Dark Fox and Black Sheepthrew their water balloons at them making them splash and get the first man covered in water.

This made the two of them burst into giggles, while the man was unhappy as he growled out "Why you little ingrates" and ran at them. This made the two kids stop giggling, as Black Sheepsaid "Uh-oh" while Dark Fox said "Let's get out of here" before they turned tail and ran for it. The man chased them into the Academy, with the two kids making several acrobatic stunts to avoid hitting other students.

The man barged past a group of students, shoving two of them aside as he did making them fall over. Both Dark Fox and Black Sheepthen fell over, and looked up as the man advanced menacingly towards them.

"I mean sure the campus of crime was no place for kids," Carmen said as Naruto picked up where she left off saying, "But never once did we feel like we were in danger, as we were part of the family, and we had protection."

Before the man could do anything, he heard someone saying "We have a problem here?" before he turned around as a hand was placed on his shoulder. He then gave a cry of shock, as he was lifted up by the front of his shirt by Coach Brunt.

She cracked her knuckles, as she made a fist with her unoccupied hand. She glared at the man, before she gave him an uppercut which sent him flying. He then fell on the floor, before he slid into the indoor pond getting even more wet. Unknown to him or Coach Brunt, his phone had fallen out of his pocket and slid to Black Sheep'sfeet. She picked it up, and started pushing some of its buttons before Coach Brunt turned around and said "Let's go and get you a cupcake each, eh sugarpies" while holding her hands out to them.

They each took one, as she led them off before she placed a wet floor sign in front of the soaking wet man, who wasn't happy about what just happened.

"We don't know who it was that found us," Naruto explained before Carmen took over as she said "But we'd always suspected that it was Coach Brunt, as she'd always look out for us."

"The whole island was our world, and for all that we knew the earth was square" Carmen said. Naruto nodded, as he said "For us there was no right or wrong. Thievery was a competition, a game and one that we were both ready to play for real."

Dark Fox and Black Sheep were in the house that they stayed in, as Black Sheep grabbed her big Russian nesting doll before they sat on the floor. Black Sheep opened up the nesting doll, and emptied out all the stuff they'd stolen before placing the phone inside it. Black Sheep closed it back up, and placed it back with the others, before both of them looked out the window at V.I.L.E Academy as they collectively thought "I think it's time to join the big leagues."

"Neither of us could bear to watch forty thieves graduate from the Academy year after year," Naruto said. Carmen nodded, as she said "Especially since we both wanted to get out there and be some of those thieves already."

(A few years later)

A teenage Dark Fox and Black Sheepwere lounging about in boredom, either on the bed or the sofa. They were then shocked, when they heard a buzzing sound and something vibrating. Black Sheeplooked to where the sound was coming from, before she fell off the bed with a "Woah," making a 'thud' noise when she hit the ground.

They both looked, and saw that the large Russian nesting doll was where the noise was coming from. The doll was getting closer to the edge of the window sill because of the vibrating, before it fell. Before it could hit the floor, Black Sheep leapt and grabbed it.

Dark Fox got up off the sofa, as he walked over saying "Who would be calling the phone after so long?" in curiosity, as the phone had been silent for years.

Black Sheep shrugged her shoulders, as she replied "I've got no idea but let's find out" as she opened up the nesting doll and took the phone out. She then got a puzzled look on her face, as she said "A white hat?" As there was indeed a white hat symbol on the phone's screen.

She touched the screen, which allowed the white hat symbol to move to the upper left corner as someone was sending a message, which they both read as Dark Fox looked over Black Sheep's shoulder.

Dark Fox read what was being sent out loud, "You better beef up your security, as I was able to get in." This made the two look around with cocked eyebrows, thinking this was some kind of joke.

Dark Fox said to Black Sheep, "Send a reply and see what they respond with." She gave a nod of agreement, as she typed out a message while saying it out loud "Got in, where? Here?" before she sent the message.

A few seconds after that, the phone suddenly started ringing which took the two of them completely by surprise. Black Sheep held it at arm's length, afraid that it would go off like a bomb or something, while looking around to make sure that no one was hearing it ringing.

Dark Fox urgently said, "Answer it or something before someone hears it."

Black Sheep hesitantly pressed the answer button and set it on speaker, before she and Dark Foxheard someone on the phone saying {"Hello?"}

Black Sheep hesitantly replied back with "Hello?" as Naruto said "Hi?"

{"Who is this?"} the person calling asked, as he typed away on a computer.

"Black Sheep," Black Sheep replied as Dark Fox added "Name's Dark Fox."

{"C'mon you two, what are your actual names?"} the unknown caller asked them.

"We just told you them, I'm Dark Fox" Dark Fox told him with an annoyed tone, with Black Sheep saying "And I'm Black Sheep."

{"Okay then, usernames work I guess"} they heard him say. "I guess that you both can call me….Player" as a younger Player leaned back in his chair.

{"I gotta know something, do you actually wear a white hat?"} Dark Fox asked him.

Player got an awkward look on his face, as he was indeed wearing a white hat more specifically a white cap. "Uh why? You've never heard of white hat hackers before" he asked them.

They both walked over to the kitchen table, with the phone placed in the center of the table as Black Sheep replied with "That's an actual thing?"

{"Yeah. I've got wicked hacking skills, but I only use them for good"} Player told them, sounding proud of himself.

They both had a look of disbelief on their faces, as Dark Foxsaid "Okay, that makes no sense at all."

Player leaned forward, as he eagerly replied "Sure it does dude." Before he then typed on his computer, as he continued saying "I'd just hacked through twenty seven layers of encryption, So who is it that I inform over there about the weak links, so that you can upgrade your security system?"

They both looked at each other, not believing what he was saying as Black Sheep asked "Are you punking us?" as Dark Foxgave a nod of agreement saying "Yeah cause this definitely sounds like a prank of some kind." He also added in a suspicious like tone, "Where are you calling from anyway?"

"My room, in Niagara Falls" Player said as he continued typing away on his computer.

Both of them gave a gasp, as Black Sheep said {"Seriously?"} with Dark Fox then saying {"Which side of the falls are you on?"} Player replied with "Canadian."

Both of them exclaimed together "You're in Ontario."

{"Woah, you guys really know your geography"} Player said, sounding impressed.

"What's it like over there?" Dark Foxasked in interest, with Black Sheep asking excitedly "Yeah tell us" as she slightly glanced out the window

{"It's alright I guess"} Player said, before Black Sheep had a look of shock on her face. Dark Fox turned to look at what had her so shocked, before he got one too as Coach Brunt was coming towards the house that they shared.

Player continued {"We've got computers, and the internet"} as they got up from the table with Dark Fox grabbing the phone, as they tried to figure out what to do before they headed out the back door, before Player then said {"Hey, where the heck are you guys anyway?"}

"We're at school," Dark Fox said in a dull tone, as he and Black Sheep pushed some leaves out of their way as they arrived at the beach.

{"What kind of school needs twenty seven layers of encryption?"} Player asked in curiosity.

They both had looks of determination on their faces, before looking back at V.I.L.E Academy.

"Us making contact with someone from the outside world, was just the kind of push that we needed," Naruto said.

Carmen nodded, as she said "It was time for us to state our case to the only family we'd ever known."

Both Dark Fox and Black Sheep walked down a hallway, before they appeared in front of a large door. They both looked up, as they both gave small sighs, seeing the word 'Faculty' above the door.

The two of them then opened the doors, and strolled into the big conference looking room as the doors closed behind them. Ahead of them, was a big long table that had five people sitting behind it, which had three women and two men.

From left to right, they were: Coach Brunt who was the teacher of combat and physical training, Professor Gunnar Maelstrom with him being the teacher of psychological manipulation, Countess Cleo who was the teacher of culture, class, and forgery, Dr. Saira Bellum and she was a bit of a mad scientist and V.I.L.E.'s master inventor; teacher of technology and science and the last one was Shadowsan with him being a master thief, skilled swordsman and assassin.

"Black Sheep, Dark Fox" Maelstrom said as the two stood before the five of them. "Why is it that you have requested our audience?" he asked them.

The two looked unsure for a moment, before they gained determined looks with them both saying together "We're ready."

Maelstrom scoffed, as he said questionly "To enroll?"

Dark Fox looked down, as he said "We both know that we're not technically old enough Professor Maelstrom" as Black Sheep nodded in agreement, before she took over and said "But we both already have what it takes to be awesome thieves. Maybe even the best ever" as she spread her arms out wide. Dark Fox nodded in agreement with that statement, showing he agreed with what she said.

Maelstrom cocked one of his eyebrows at hearing her say that, as Black Sheep realised what she said, as she quickly added "In our opinion sir" as she shyly put her arms behind her back with Dark Fox giving her a comforting look.

Dr Bellum then said, "The two of them may be young, but they have had more training at their age, then any recruit. Even if only by osmosis."

Coach Brunt gave a nod of agreement, as she said "Dr Bellum is right. Lambsie and Foxy have got gumption, and I'd say both of them are ready to run with the big dogs."

Both Dark Fox and Black Sheep looked at Coach Brunt with gratitude.

"I for one, am not thrilled by the notion of having to endure the lack of manners that either of them have, inside a classroom setting. The both of them are quite feral," Countess Cleo said which made the two of them frown at hearing that.

Professor Maelstrom was tapping his fingers together, as he said "Precisely why they might be overdue for properly supervised training, Countess Cleo." The two of them also gave him looks of gratitude.

He then looked down the end of the table, as he asked "And what of you Shadowsan?"

After a few seconds of silence, he said "We are operating a vocational school, not a nursery school." They both briefly had looks of shock, before they scowled in his direction.

"But we've never met a case for advanced placement until now," Dr Bellum said as she looked at him, until she looked at the two standing before them.

Coach Brunt was leaning on her fist, as she said "And the last time I checked, majority vote rules." This made Shadowsan scowl, before he stood up and leaned on the table as he said "Black Sheep and Dark Fox. You had better be certain that becoming professional thieves is what you truly desire, for if you chose this road, there will be no turning back" as he glared down at them at the end.

They both got uncertain looks at first, before they shrugged them off with Dark Fox giving a firm nod saying "Yes Instructor Shadowsan" with Black Sheep adding "We both want this more than anything, Instructor Shadowsan. And we are both willing to go to the end of the line" as they both gave determined looks. They did that for a few seconds, before bowing slightly to him and the other four. Shadowsan had a slight glare appear on his face.

Maelstrom then said "All in favor?" as Coach Brunt, himself, Countess Cleo and Dr Bellum raised their hands, before looking at Shadowsan. He still looked at the two of them, before raising his head and walked off without a word. Carmen and Dark Fox were shocked at that, before glaring after him.

Coach Brunt had tears appearing in her eyes, as she sniffed before saying "Our little lamb and fox cub are gonna be all grown up!"

The two of them had neutral looks, before smiling happily. Later the next day, they took everything they owned from the house they'd lived in, to one of the rooms that had beds lined up along the walls opposite each other. Fortunately, they were placed in the same one with them taking a bed next to each other, so that they could still chat to each other.

"We were finally one of the big kids," Carmen said as Naruto nodded in agreement saying "One of the forty thieves as it were."

"We'd survived our orientation, and we were ready to meet our future partners in crime," Naruto added. "Our roommates."

Just as Dark Fox and Black Sheep had set Matryoshka dolls and the ninja statue up on the bedside table next to the bed they'd be sleeping in, the double doors opened. They looked over, and saw other students coming through the doors, with it being two boys in front followed by a girl.

They walked over to say hello to them. "Hi, I'm Black Sheep" Black Sheep said as Dark Fox added "And I'm Dark Fox."

One of the boys nodded his head in a friendly greeting, as he said "Hola. I am Antonio" before he went towards one of the beds.

"Jean Paul. Bonjour," was from the second boy in an uncaring way as he did the same as Antonio.

The girl just merely replied with "Sheena" in a haughty tone as she walked past them. She didn't get far, until she turned around and said quite mockingly "Why would a fox and a sheep be friends? Especially since a fox eats sheep" before she continued on.

The two of them gave a snort at her comment, before they saw someone else coming through the doorway. And to their surprise, it was the boy they'd pulled over backwards during the assembly.

They got over their shock, as they both said "You" while looking unimpressed at him.

He walked over, and gave them an uneasy smile as he did.

"Feel free to skip ahead fellas," Gray told them as he gave a small glare. "I was there too ya know."

They both gave a nod, with Carmen saying "Sure Gray, you were there. But were you seeing things from our point of view?" she then asked him. Naruto then asked, "Do you want to hear the story or not dude? Cause if so, let us tell it."

Grey scowled, before he gestured his hand to let them continue.

Gray walked up to them, before holding his hand out saying "Uh, Black Sheep and Dark Fox wasn't it? The names Graham" as he still held his hand out, as though expecting them to shake it.

They both just continued to glare at him, before they heard Sheena saying in a mocking tone "Ah this where you hide your pearls, little girl?" which made them turn around, to see that Sheena was leaning over, while looking at Black Sheep's Matryoshka dolls.

Both Dark Fox and Black Sheep walked over, as Black Sheep said "Please don't touch my stuff" as Dark Fox gave a nod, adding "Yeah, and you won't like what happens if you do."

Sheena stood up, before she turned around and said "What, these?" in a teasing tone.

"I said, keep your paws off" Black Sheep said sternly, as she glared at Sheena who gave a smug smirk to Black Sheep's reaction.

Sheena was reaching towards one of them, before Graham came over saying "Ah ah, play nice Princess. We've all got to room together." Sheena gave a huff, as she took her hand away before she walked off saying "It's probably costume jewelry anyway" with Dark Fox and Black Sheep glaring after her.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox then had unsure looks on their faces, at seeing Graham helping them who was standing there with a smug relieved look on his face. He side glanced at the two of them, before he gave a cheeky wink to them. The two of them gave him a small smile, glad that he was alright even after how their first meeting went. They then looked back towards Sheena with a glare, who was walking out of the room.

"It was the first day of class, and we were already making friends" Carmen said, with Naruto adding "And enemies too."

"So what's your story Gray?" Dark Fox asked him as he, Gray and Black Sheep were walking the school hallways.

"I was working as a junior electrician at the Sydney Opera House," he explained to them.

"Australia" they both said together, before Black Sheep gave a fist pump as she said "I knew it."

Gray had a smile appear on his face, as he continued "When one day, a light bulb went off. I could make a far better living turning out the lights, stealing from the cover of darkness."

Both Dark Fox and Black Sheep had impressive looks on their faces, as they said "Cool/Sweet" at the sametime.

"What about you kiddos? What're your stories?" Graham asked them.

They both had unsure looks appear on their faces, not sure what to tell him. "Uh, come on Gray we don't want to be late for stealth 101" Black Sheep said, with an uneasy smile on her face. Dark Fox nodded in agreement saying "Yeah, even if the instructor is a bit strict and stern."

(Shadowsan's classroom)

"Origami, the Japanese art of paper folding is the surest means of a perfecting a nimble touch" Shadowsan explained to them, while folding some paper to create a sheep, which he then showed to them. "Essential for the successful picking of pockets."

Some of the students were trying to fold the paper to create an animal, with some looking like they were doing better than others.

(Coach Brunts classroom)

"The first rule of self defense," Coach Brunt explained to them, while standing off to one side holding a bamboo staff "Is to always protect the face."

The students were facing off in pairs, each with their own staff as they were sparring against each other. Black Sheepwas facing off against Gray, while Dark Foxsparred with another student.

"Unless you want to be knocked out cold, or wind up with a mug just like mine" she told them as an afterthought.

Black Sheep lunged at Gray, attacking him quickly and with precision while Gray could only dodge or block before he did the same back to her with Black Sheep blocking and dodging. Dark Fox was having a grand time, as he was attacking more than blocking against his opponent.

(Countess Cleo's classroom)

Countess Cleo walked through a doorway, before she said "Pop Quiz! One of these two vases is discount-store-grade-garbage. And the other, a genuine Ming, valued at $300,000. Which of these would you steal?"

They all looked to and from the two of them, not sure which one was the real one and which was the fake.

(Dr Bellum's classroom)

Dr Bellum was standing behind a table making something, while the students were in front of it watching her. She then stood up, as she said "My latest invention; the Crackle Rod" as she showed them what she'd built. "The settings can be adjusted here, EMPs, stun mode and so on" as she explained what it could do as she turned the dial on the handle, which caused the end to release some electricity.

This made Dark Fox, Black Sheep and Graham most interested in it, as they exchanged happy glances before they faced back to the lesson.

(Professor Maelstroms classroom)

All of the students were sitting at tables, with pieces of paper in front of them as they watched Professor Maelstrom and Sheena standing in front of them.

"To properly execute a bait and switch, you need an object that should be of equal weight and size," he explained to them while holding a briefcase, before looking over at Sheena who was holding the same briefcase as him. She had an unsure look, as she opened up hers to see what was inside and saw that it was full of cash which brought a smile to her face.

She then closed it back up, before she and Professor Maelstrom faced each other and walked towards each other, with the others closely watching them. When they reached the middle, they bumped into each other which caused them to both drop the briefcases. Sheena was the first one to reach down, and picked one of them up then clutched it close to her chest, before Professor Maelstrom picked up the other briefcase.

They then continued on as they walked past each other, until they were standing where the other one was. "And there you have it, the switch" Professor Maelstrom told them as he opened up the briefcase he was holding showing it was the one with all the money in it. Sheena opened up the one she had, before she said "Oh gross" showing it was full of all different kinds of insects and some mud. "What is this?" she said in a disgusted tone as the mud and insects fell out of the briefcase.

"That my dear, would be the bait" Professor Maelstrom told her, in a creepy kind of tone along with a creepy look on his face.

(Outside the academy, sometime later)

Both Dark Fox and Black Sheep were leaning against a concrete block, while talking to Player on the V.I.L.E cellphone that they still had.

"Hey Player," Dark Foxsaid as he and Black Sheepeach had an earphone in their ear so that they could each hear what Player said in private. "School's been….really awesome" he said, as Black Sheep held the phone, as she nodded in agreement saying "Yeah, we've learned quite a lot here. And we both wish that you were here with us," she added as an afterthought, with Dark Fox saying "Yeah as I'm sure that you'd learn a whole lot of wicked tech skills."

Graham poked his head round the corner of the concrete block at the other end, as he said to them "Black Sheep, Dark Fox. Come on mates." They both gave a wave to him, letting him know they heard him while Black Sheep hid the phone in her pocket. Graham then pulled his head back, as he walked off.

{"Who's that?"} Player asked them.

"Gray, from downunder" Black Sheep said in her best Australian accent before both her and Dark Foxlightly laughed. "He's our best friend," Dark Fox said.

"Oh okay" Player said, trying not to sound so disappointed.

Black Sheep quickly said, "Our best school friend of course" with Dark Fox adding "Yeah that's right" in agreement. "Anyway, we've gotta run so we'll talk to ya later. We're late for infiltration 101," Dark Fox said.

Player tapped on his desktop, as he suspiciously asked "What kind of school do you guys go to again?" They both weakly chuckled, as Black Sheep answered "We'll let you know sometime later on. See ya" before she hung up, as the two of them headed off to class.

(Coach Brunts classroom)

Coach Brunt walked past all the students, who were standing on mechanical stilts. "Stand tall class," she said to all of them "As today's goal; is to be the first to reach the target." All of the students looked up to the target that had a handprint on it, at the top of a climbing wall.

Jean Paul lightly leapt off the ground, before he kicked his stilts off and ran for the climbing wall. He started climbing it quite well, like an expert without any climbing gear with the others watching him. Black Sheep gave a slight smirk, as she pressed a button on her wrist device that allowed her to extend the legs on her stilts, before she started walking to the wall. Dark Fox gave a shout of "Hey" before he did the samething, trying to catch up to her.

Dark Fox was just behind Black Sheep as they raced each other to the top, with Jean Paul doing the same climbing the wall. He was just about to reach the target, before Black Sheep touched it first which set off an alarm to let everyone know the target had been touched by someone.

Black Shee pgave a confident smirk to both Jean Paul and Dark Fox, with Dark Fox giving her a good natured smile for her win, while Jean Paul gave her a small glare for beating him.

Next, they were all shown to be Abseiling from the wall opposite, with Black Sheep and Dark Fox laughing as they found it fun while Antonio was screaming as he obviously didn't.

"We all really honed our skills," Carmen said with Naruto giving a nod of agreement saying "Yeah as we all studied hard as well as trained hard." Carmen then looked at Naruto, as she said "Don't forget that we also played hard too sweetie" as Naruto gave a smirk in reply saying "Oh yes, don't I know it babe."

The boat that came to V.I.L.E Isle every so often pulled up at the docks, with Black Sheep and Dark Fox hiding behind some rocks with the others being with them.

"Okay, so here's the skinny," Black Sheep said to them before Dark Foxtook over as he said "Every 1st of December, she arrives right on schedule." The lady that the two of them had seen the last time, was stepping off the boat with her bodyguard following her.

"We're referring to Cookie Booker, V.I.L.E's book keeper" Black Sheep explained to them. Dark Fox added, "You guys see that thing that she's holding? That's a harddrive, and it's loaded with classified information supplied by V.I.L.E operatives from all over the world." Black Sheep gave a small nod, as she said "It's way too important to risk uploading it from a remote location, so they make her do a hand carry by boat to avoid any radar detection."

They all then ducked back down behind the rocks, as the two turned to them with Dark Fox saying "Now take aim, and bring the rain" as they all lifted up balloons full of water.

The three people walking across the jetty were not expecting some many water balloons to come raining down on them, as all three of them got covered in water, with Cookie and the boat driver being the most wet as they were in front. Cookie lifted her head, as water dripped down her hat as she gave a glare.

The group had already ran off, laughing and giggling as they did back to V.I.L.E Academy. As they got there, they were all stopped by the Cleaners who didn't have happy looks on their faces (even though that was basically all the time).

"Vlad, Boris hiya" Black Sheep said in a somewhat worried tone, while trying to be cheerful with Dark Fox trying to give them a cheerful smile but failing. The other students were just looking at them, as though not expecting what will happen.

Both the Cleaners continued to glare at the students, which made Dark Fox and Black Sheep chuckle nervously.

(Moments later, in front of the Faculty)

All of them were standing before the Faculty, with Dark Foxand Black Sheep looking unsure and worried.

"Me and Dark Fox take full responsibility," Black Sheep said to the Faculty members, with Naruto nodding in agreement.

"Did I not tell you that something like this would happen? Black Sheep and Dark Fox are both immature and impetuous" Shadowsan said to everyone. "I recommend immediate expulsion" he then fiercely said.

Coach Brunt leaned forward, as she said with a look of concern "Uh, isn't that a bit….extreme?" in a worried tone.

Gray looked at Black Sheep and Dark Fox's worried looks, before he gained a determined look on his face as he stepped forward saying "Esteemed Faculty. With due respect, Black Sheep and Dark Fox aren't to blame, as we egged them on."

"WHAT!? No we didn't" Sheena whispered harshly in surprise behind him. Both Dark Fox and Black Sheep looked over at her with downcast looks, before looking back at Gray wondering what he was up to.

"We can't expel the whole herd of em,...can we?" Coach Brunt asked the other Faculty members. The other members gave each other sidelong looks, before Professor Maelstrom said "Since you feel that strongly about egging them on, they won't be expelled. But all of you will be put into detention, effective immediately."

(Sometime later)

"Detention, what are we in grade school now?" Sheena asked sarcastically while sitting down at a table with the others, with Antonio sitting on the floor while Jean-Paul sat on the table.

Black Sheep exhaled in relief, before giving a small smile as she said "Thanks for having our backs" with Dark Fox nodding in agreement.

"I'm going to have your hide girlie" Sheena harshly replied while glaring at Black Sheep, before turning to Dark Fox as she said "But you on the other hand, I think I'll keep for myself" before blowing him a kiss.

Black Sheep gave her a glare, while tightening one of her hands into a fist all without her knowing.

Graham picked his head off the table, as he exclaimed "Hey can we please focus? These code names aren't going to name themselves ya know."

The others gained thoughtful looks, before Antonio poked his head over the edge of the table as he said "Ooh I have one for you, Shocker."

Gray just lifted one of his eyebrows, finding it unimpressive.

"The Shocksmith?" Jean Paul said questionably.

Sheena rolled her eyes saying "Lame."

Black Sheep eagerly said "Power Failure."

Dark Fox thought about it, before saying "Electro."

Gray just gave a sigh, before he said "Sorry mates, but none of them have that crackle that I'm looking for" before he dropped his head into his arms. His head then suddenly perked back up, as he gasped before he excitedly said "That's it." He then got off the chair he was sitting on, before he stood on the table as he said "Get ready. Graham Crackle" as he spread his arms out while saying it.

Black Sheep cocked her eyebrow at him saying "Dude, really?"

"We are criminals," Jean Paul said "Who would take us seriously if we had puns for names."

Graham looked a bit upset at what they told him, before he said "Okay I'll drop the Graham part. I'm Crackle, lights out baby" as he held his arm up.

Jean Paul went next, as he said "Le Chèvre. Like the nimble mountain goat, I take the high ground."

Antonio stood up, as he told them "And like the burrowing mole, El Topo takes the low."

Sheena went next, as she stood before them saying "I think I've earned my stripes. Call me Tigress."

(Sometime later)

They were all on their way to class, with them all wearing uniforms and having gear that matched their new codenames when they ran into a fellow student who looked like a mime and even acted like one, as he was putting his hands up like there was a wall in the way.

"So, who's off to clown college?" Crackle said, as the mime student moved his head about. Dark Fox and Black Sheep had their hands on their chins, as they looked him over.

"Oof, him" Le Chèvre said with a slight sneer in his tone.

"The quiet one from class" El Topo said, while giving him a look as though trying to figure him out.

"Hello? Codename?" Tigress asked him.

He thought about it for a moment, before he gave a smile looking like he'd had an idea before pointing at his wrist then placed his hands together before spreading them out wide with his mouth making an 'O' shape, and his hands going down while moving his fingers.

"Uh he's so weird" Tigress said in an annoyed tone.

"Oh Mime Bomb," both Black Sheep and Dark Fox said in realisation.

The newly named Mime Bomb pointed at them, with his other finger on his nose, before he turned around and moonwalked backwards, with the others watching as he did.

"The school year came and went," Carmen said.

"The two of us couldn't wait to graduate, and plot our first caper as proper V.I.L.E operatives" Naruto added. "All we had to do was pass our final exams, and we'd be professional thieves."

All of them were in Professor Maelstroms class, as they looked at a diagram of a building where they had to plan out a heist.

(Shadowsans classroom)

Shadowsan and all the students were kneeling on mats, as they got ready for the exams.

"For the first exam, I call Tigress" Shadowsan said.

Tigress stood up from where she was kneeling, before looking at Black Sheep as she held up an origami of a sheep as she said "I got this" before she dropped it then stood on it.

Black Sheep looked surprised, before she glared at the squashed origami then at Tigress as she went to the front.

Shadowsan had put a coat on, before going off to one side saying "Somewhere in my coat is a single dollar bill. The coat has many pockets, locate the target and acquire it….if you can." He then held up a timer that was set for two minutes as he said "You have two minutes, starting now" before he activated the timer.

Tigress had a confident smirk, as she placed her mask on which then scanned Shadowsans coat before it found the dollar bill in his right outside pocket. She then extended her claws, before running towards him.

She swiped at him, with Shadowsan easily dodging as he moved around her before he placed one of his feet under her foot, and lifted it slightly up to set her off balance. She gave a grunt as she fell to the ground, as she dug one of her clawed hands into the floor to stop herself from sliding any further while frowning. Black Sheep, Dark Fox and Crackle grinned at each other when that happened.

Tigress briefly glared before she smiled at Shadowsan confidently, who cocked an eyebrow at her. She then ran over to him, and she then tried to reach for the pocket containing the dollar bill before Shadowsan grabbed her wrist, stopping her before he shoved her back with his shoulder.

She looked surprised as she held her chest, before she gritted her teeth and ran at him again while swiping her clawed hands at him. Shadowsan dodged her swipes by moving backwards, leaning to the side or lifting the leg she'd swipe at as he went.

She then jumped up, and tried to swipe at him as she came down but he spun around her attack and elbowed her back as he did a complete spin which sent her tumbling into the sand off to the side in the classroom. El Topo and Le Chevre cringed at that, knowing she won't like it.

She gritted her teeth, as she grabbed a handful of sand before she tossed it at Shadowsan while hissing like her namesake. Shadowsan gritted his teeth as he put his arms up, to cover his face as the sand hit his forearms which temporarily blinded him.

This was the distraction, as Tigress ran towards him then slid across the ground with Shadowsan turning to dodge, but she was able to swipe her clawed hand against his coat which cut the pocket holding the dollar bill off.

She slid a fair way from Shadowsan, before she spun around and stood up grabbing the ripped part of his coat, before she took the dollar bill from the pocket as she gave a confident smile saying "Mm money" before she tossed the ripped part of the coat in front of Black Sheep, who looked down at it before she said "Shadowsan is so gonna call foul" with a small smirk on her face, as she looked at Dark Fox and Crackle.

Shadowsan lifted up his cot, that was slightly shredded where Tigress had cut it as he said "Unorthodox technique" which made Black Sheep look at Crackle and Dark Fox with a happy smile, which they returned before Shadowsan cocked his eyebrow along with a slight smile as he added "But excellent results." Tigress slightly curtsied to him, with Shadowsan bowing in return before holding his hand out for the dollar bill, which Tigress returned to him before heading back to her seating area.

The three of them were very shocked and surprised, as Black Sheep angrily said "No way, Shadowsan is sooo playing favourites" as she crossed her arms unhappily while looking at Crackle and Dark Fox, who shrugged their shoulders not knowing what else to say or do, but Dark Fox himself was also giving Shadowsan the stink eye.

Tigress knelt back down on her mat, before turning to Black Sheep as she took her mask off with a confident smirk while giving her a wink. Black Sheep just glared at Tigress with her arms still crossed, before she heard Shadowsan saying "Black Sheep" which made her face the front, to see Shadowsan with his back to them as he'd put another coat on, before he turned around, letting her know it was her turn.

She stood up from her mat, and stared him down like it was a wastern with the others watching to see what would happen. Dark Fox was thinking to himself "Come Black Sheep, you got this I know you do."

After staring him down, Black Sheep confidently walked forward with a smile on her face, ready to take the dollar bill from his coat pocket.

(After class was over, sometime later)

The whole class left, with them all commenting about the lesson except for Black Sheep and Dark Fox who both had their heads down showing they were clearly upset about something.

Crackle walked up to them both, with Black Sheep saying "I swear that I hit every pocket in that coat. If there was a dollar bill in there, I couldn't find it" with Dark Fox nodding in agreement as he said "Yeah the same with me, and I even double checked all of them just to be sure."

"Hey so you guys choked a little, like that's going to affect your guys grades" Graham said, as he tried to cheer them up. The two of them gave him a sidelong look, trying to be cheerful but still too down in the dumps. "The two of you are the finest pickpockets in our class. The two of you are both in a league of your own" Crackle told them, as he placed his hands on their shoulders in comfort.

They both looked at each other in slight surprise, before looking at him with slightly more hopeful looks as Black Sheep said "You think so?" with a small smile.

"I know so," Crackle replied with honesty in his voice and on his face. Dark Fox looked thoughtful, as he said "I mean it would make sense, since we've both lived here since as long as we can remember."

"There ya go," Crackle said with a smile as he ruffled their hair glad to see them looking more cheerful, before Black Sheep and Dark Fox shoved his hand away, then shoved him so that they could move along. But Black Sheep and Dark Fox looked back at Shadowsans classroom, sure that Shadowsan was up to something.

(Later that day)

All the students were looking to see if they'd passed, and those that did were cheering quite loudly and praising their fellow classmates for a job well done.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox were just walking over, when Crackle waved them over as he said "The results are in guys."

They gave a happy smile, before running over to see if they'd passed with their classmates. Sheena pointed at her picture, before dragging it over to the green tick mark next to it, showing she'd passed.

"Yes, whoo-hoo" she happily exclaimed as she jumped up and down in joy. Black Sheep and Dark Fox tried to see what their results were.

Le Chevre and El Topo also saw they'd passed, as Le Chèvre happily said "Félicitations, mon ami!"

"Upward and downward, mi amigo!" El Topo happily replied as they high fived high and then low.

Mime Bomb also noticed that he'd passed, as he gave a fist pump with a happy look on his face. Crackle then walked forward with a happy smile on his face, before it turned to shock along with a worried look.

"Gray?" Black Sheep asked him in concern, as she and Dark Fox came over with Dark Fox asking "Did….Did you?"

Crackle turned around as he replied "I'm good guys, but…."

They both walked past Crackle, who had a look of worry on his face, and they saw that next to their pictures were red X's showing that they hadn't passed. It was like their whole world came tumbling down, as they couldn't believe they didn't pass. After all their hard work, studying, training and perseverance it was all for nothing?

They both got sad looks on their face, as Crackle put his hand on their shoulders in comfort as he said "I'm really sorry fellas."

Tigress came jogging over, as she said "Crackle, come and sit at the big kids table" as she pulled Crackle's arm while giving a sneer at Black Sheep, showing that she was glad she hadn't passed.

Tigress looked at Dark Fox, saying "Sorry that you didn't pass handsome. Maybe if you didn't hang around with those that your namesake eats, you might pass next time. And who knows, maybe we'd be partners in crime along with 'partners in time' too" as she gave him a flirtatious wink.

"Go on Gray, we'll be fine" as Black Sheep turned around giving him a small smile trying to show that she was alright. Dark Fox gave a nod, as he added "We'll manage just fine Gray, so go and hang out with the others."

"Aw looks like someone needs to turn in their stealth suit" Tigress mockingly said before she pulled his arm as she gave a small chuckle then said "Come on, lets go plot a caper."

They both had small smiles at seeing them run off, before the smiles turned into sad frowns as they turned and headed off, dragging their feet as they went.

(Outside Shadowsans classroom)

Shadowsan was just leaving his classroom, and closing the doors as two blurs ran past behind him. He then reached for the keys to lock the doors, when he couldn't find them in his pocket, before hearing them jingling behind him. He turned around to see Black Sheep and Dark Fox there, with Black Sheep holding them as Dark Fox said "Were you looking for these?"

Black Sheep tossed them back over, with Shadowsan grabbing them from the air as he said "Playing games you two? How typical" while giving them a glare.

"No games," Black Sheep said with Dark Fox adding "We both want a do over."

Shadowsan put his keys away, as he said "And you'll both have it, next year once you both redo your course work."

"You're not hearing us," Dark Fox said as Black Sheep glared, saying "Put on the coat, cause we want a do over now."

When Shadowsan was about level with them, he looked at them as he said "We don't bend policy for other students, so we must really stop doing it for the two of you. Good night Black Sheep and Dark Fox," he said as he walked past them as they both glared at the floor at what he'd said.

They both turned around, as they angrily shouted together "The coats were empty, weren't they?"

Shadowsan stopped, as he gave a small glare as he turned around before saying "Are you accusing a V.I.L.E instructor of cheating?" with his voice increasing in volume as he spoke.

They both suddenly looked small and meek at him being that furious, as Black Sheep meekly said "Sorry" before she gathered her courage and continued saying "It's just, I know that me and Dark Fox are just as good as anyone in our class, maybe even better" with Dark Fox adding as he held up the keys "And we know that you know it too" as they both glared at him.

Shadowsan gave them both a glare in return, as he said "And you both also happen to be unruly, undisciplined and pranksters." He then quickly snatched the keys back, as he added "I would strongly suggest that you both find a way to keep those qualities in check, since they seem to be holding you both back" as he walked off, leaving them standing there upset as they put their heads down.

Black Sheep looked up, as she had a determined look firmly saying "No, nothings holding us back" as Dark Fox added "Not anymore" as he too gave a determined look.

(Later that night)

After they both put a few pillows and a ball under their bed covers to fool anyone that they were asleep, they both then went into a large pipe that went under the island where they came across a steel grate that stopped them from going any further.

They looked out, and saw that the helicopter's blades were spinning as it was getting ready for takeoff. They both grabbed the bars on the grate, and pushed as hard as they could. It took some effort, but they were able to open it up.

They then climbed out of the pipe, and took off towards the helicopter. If they'd have looked behind them, they would have noticed they were followed by Mime Bomb who had a creepy sinister smile on his face.

Crackle, Tigress, El Topo and Le Chèvre were all walking towards the chopper with Crackle saying "Our first crime caper, where it all gets real" before they all got onboard. Boris and Vlad were piloting the chopper, as they nodded at each other as they got ready to take off.

The four newest criminals were strapping themselves in, as Tigress said "Schools out boys, it's time to strut our stuff." The helicopter then took off from the island, and headed for its destination as it flew over the ocean.

Crackle was looking out the window at V.I.L.E Isle, as he said "See ya guys" a bit upset that Black Sheep and Dark Fox didn't graduate. What he and the others didn't know was that the two of them were on the helicopter in a box at the end of the chopper, with a door slightly ajar to see what was going on. Both Black Sheep and Dark Fox had grins on their face, about finally leaving the island to see the world with their own eyes instead of in books.

(About 3 hours later)

Black Sheep and Dark Fox were excited to be going with the others, even if it wasn't how they wanted to. They didn't know how long they'd been flying, as they didn't have any watches with them to tell the time but it felt like a few hours at least.

As they looked out through the gap in the door, at their graduated friends talking, they both jumped in surprise when their V.I.L.E phone suddenly started buzzing in Black Sheeps pocket.

She quickly grabbed it out of her pocket, and answered it before the others heard it. "Player, not the best time right now" she whispered, as she'd put the phone on speaker, with the volume as low as possible.

{"You can't set the no cellphone rule, if you ain't on campus"} he replied back. {"Taking a little field trip are ya?"} he then asked.

"What!?" they both gasped in surprise and astonishment, before Dark Fox whispered "How'd you know?"

"Remember how I could never hack past those jammers at your school, to try and triangulate your location?" he told them, while typing away on his computer. "Well guess what fellas, your phone suddenly lit up on my dashboard."

{"And it looks like you're currently travelling en route to - "} Player was saying before a radio beeped with Black Sheep saying "Dude, hold that thought."

Both Black Sheep and Dark Fox heard a mechanical voice saying "\Approaching drop point. Assume your positions.\"

"We're gonna have to call ya back!" Dark Fox said, hanging up as they looked at what the others were doing.

The newest graduates were unclipping themselves from their seats, and stood up as they grabbed some parachutes and googles from the walls of the helicopter and put them on. The sides of the helicopter slid open, as they got ready to jump from the helicopter.

With Black Sheep and Dark Fox, they both gasped in realisation as they whispered together "We don't have a parachute!"

Both Le Chèvre and El Topo did their double high five, before they leapt from the helicopter first, and opened their parachutes once they were far enough from the helicopter.

Tigress then went next, as she walked to the edge before holding onto the roof of the chopper. She looked down with an unsure look on her face.

"What are you waiting for?" Crackle said behind her with a grin, as she looked at him from the corner of her eyes. "Cats always land on their feet!" before he kicked her out of the helicopter.

"AAAAHHHH" she screamed as she fell, while flailing her arms and legs about.

Crackle looked down as he adjusted his goggles, getting ready to jump before he heard "Heads up!" which made him look over in shock, as he saw Black Sheep running towards him with Dark Fox right next to her.

They both tackled him out of the helicopter, as they all grunted as they fell tossing and turning through the sky, with the wind howling in their ears.

Crackle made sure to hold onto the two of them, as they did the same thing with him and each other.

"Black Sheep? Dark Fox?" he said in complete surprise and shock. "Don't let go," Black Sheep said with Dark Fox nodding in agreement as they both had looks of worry.

Crackle righted himself before opening the parachute. He then started turning it, as he aimed to land behind a broken piece of wall away from the others.

Once taking the parachute bag off his back, he furiously said "Are you both out of your minds?" to them both. He quickly looked to see if the others were coming over, before he continued as he said "You both just put your safety, and my entire criminal career at risk!" as he tore the goggles off, before tossing them on the ground.

He then added "What will the Faculty do, when they discover that you both decided to tag along on this mission?"

They both gave a shrug, as Black Sheep replied "Who cares? We'll both be long gone by then" with Dark Fox nodding in agreement as they both had confident looks.

"Crackle! Let's move!" Tigress yelled out.

"Both of you stay here, I mean it" he said, as Black Sheep and Dark Fox looked down with upset looks, before seeing Crackle running over to the others waiting next to a doorway in a big wall, as they peaked round the broken wall.

Black Sheep gave a scoff, before saying "Time to crash a caper" with Dark Fox nodding in agreement as he added "And show that we can be just as good at being thieves as the others" before they carefully and quietly, quickly ran after them.

(Meanwhile, back at V.I.L.E Isle)

Mime Bomb was walking about in front of the Faculty, moving about like a chicken as he did so before looking at them with a disappointed looking frown on his face.

"You are a chicken?" Countess Cleo said questionly.

Mime Bomb gave a nod, before he spread his arms out and moved them up and down like wings.

Countess Cleo gave him a glare, as she said "Chickens don't fly."

"Who here thought it was a good idea to make a mime our spy?" Professor Maelstrom said with an annoyed look and tone.

Mime Bomb put his hands together like wings, and made them move as though flying away as he made them go up.

Coach Brunt gave him an unsure look, as she said "Fly the coop?"

Mime Bomb gave a jump of joy, as he then placed a finger on his nose while pointing at her letting them know she was right.

She then got a look of realisation, as she looked at the others with worry as she said "Black Sheep and Dark Fox have run off with the others."

Shadowsan gave a grunt of anger, as he showed his displeasure in their actions.

"We could have quite a mess on our hands," Countess Cleo said with her hands locked together and only the index fingers out as she pressed her lips on them.

Professor Maelstrom had his arms crossed, as he said "Alert the Cleaners immediately!" showing he wasn't at all happy.

(Back with Black Sheep and Dark Fox)

They were both walking through what looked like some ruins of some kind, as they looked around enjoying the sites as this was their first time off V.I.L.E Isle and they wanted to enjoy it. When they reached the end of the ruins, they both gave a gasp as they looked at the city before them.

"I can't believe it," Dark Fox said as Black Sheep added "It's Casablanca, which means…." they then looked at each other as they both said "We're in Morocco."

They both gave a small chuckle, as Black Sheep said "We actually did it" as Dark Fox nodded as he said "We were able to make it to the real world."

They looked at the city's lights as they enjoyed the view, before they shook their heads and focused on why they were there.

"Mission first, then sightseeing later" Black Sheep said with Dark Fox nodding in agreement, before they both ran off to the city. But before they did, they went back and took a selfie picture with the city behind them, and then ran into the city to find the others and crash their caper.

(A few minutes later)

As they were walking around, they heard some hammering and machinery at work. They walked in the direction they heard it coming from, and saw a bright light ahead through a doorway. As they peaked around the corner, the light blinded them for a moment which made them put their hands up to protect their eyes, until they adjusted to the light.

Once they did, they walked through the doorway and saw what looked to be some kind of excavation site that had lots of spotlights around it.

They were just about to look around, when they heard someone saying "Excuse me you two" where they looked over and saw a man walking towards them.

"It's quite late," he said before asking "Do your parents both know where you are?"

They both cringed, not knowing what to say before Black Sheep said "We don't even know where we are" with Dark Fox nodding in agreement as he said "Perhaps you could help us, and tell us what this place is."

The man gave a nod, where he slightly spread his arms as he said "Of course. This is an archeology dig site, where we search for any links to our past."

"What, you mean like dinosaur bones?" Black Sheep jokingly asked, as Dark Fox chuckled.

"Anything historic," the man replied as he shrugged his shoulders. He then started walking, as they followed him where he continued "If you've been following the news, then you'd know that we have just discovered a relic here, dating from a much more recent era; The Eye of Vishnu."

They stopped at the top of a slope, where they watched his men at work as he told them "My crew identified it just days ago, and are very carefully unearthing it at this very moment." He then walked down the slope, with Black Sheep and Dark Fox following along after him.

"And you're not worried about any of them stealing it for themselves, or even selling it?" Black Sheep asked him in surprise, with Dark Fox equally puzzled.

"Now why ever would they do that?" he asked them with a cocked eyebrow. He then continued as he said "My entire crew is well aware that a treasure such as this belongs in a museum, to be admired by all who see it."

"Treasure?" Black Sheep asked, with Dark Fox then adding "You mean as in its worth a fortune?"

The man stopped, which caused them to stop as well, where he then said "Somethings possess value other than monetary, young ones. Any historical finds such as this gem, belongs to everyone" as he shrugged his shoulders before continuing "The theft of it would rob the entire world of knowledge, and that would be a true crime" he finished.

They both had looks of slight sorrow upon hearing that as they thought about it, before Black Sheep said "We - we had no idea," with Dark Fox adding "As we'd never actually thought of it that way."

Before anymore could be said, the lights suddenly went out which made the men gasp and mutter amongst themselves. The man said to them, "Excuse me you two, while I find out what the problem is" before pulling a walkie talkie out and saying into it "Pit crew, report please" as he walked off.

Both Black Sheep and Dark Fox looked around, trying to figure out what was going on before Black Sheep said "Gray must've cut the power" in thought as Dark Fox nodded in agreement, before they both widened their eyes in realisation and said in unison "This must be the caper!"

They both looked up, and saw that Le Chevre was running and climbing along the ruined tops of some walls, with a rope slung over his shoulder. They saw him reach the topmost part, where he tied it to the corner before he abseiled down to split kick some guards, knocking them out before he ran off to see if there were any others.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox watched with mouths agape, as they saw Tigress leap at a guard knocking him to the ground, before she ran off and knocked a worker out, before leaping over to another one to knock out. After mockingly blowing them a kiss, she then ran off to check if the area was secure.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox then looked into the pit, and saw a hole was forming where the diggers were, before they saw El Topo climbing out of it.

They had to squint to make out it was him, before they then ran into the pit leaping and jumping over the ruined walls as they went.

El Topo turned around when he heard them land on the ground, where he then said with a puzzled look and tone "Black Sheep? Dark Fox? But I thought that you guys didn't graduate."

They both had worried looks, before they saw what El Topo was holding as they both exclaimed together "Woah!" in awe. They both gave a small smile, as Black Sheep said "It's amazing" with Dark Fox nodding in agreement.

"Black Sheep! Dark Fox!" they both heard before they looked up and saw Crackle outside the pit. He angrily swiped his hand, as he shouted "Both of you stay away, you'll ruin the mission" before he ran off to get into the pit.

The man from earlier climbed down one of the ladders along the edge, and once he reached the bottom he looked from El Topo to them, as they turned and looked at him.

"The two of you are in cahoots with these thieves?" he said with his eyes wide and in shocked surprise.

They both were looking at him in slight terrified surprise, as they didn't really know what to say. "Erm well, yes" Black Sheep said, with Dark Fox adding "And also no" before they both shrugged saying "It's complicated."

The man looked back at El Topo, before angrily demanding "Stop you thieves" as he ran over to get the gem from him. Before he could get near him, Crackle landed in front of him in a crouch before he ran to intercept the man.

The two of them met in the middle, as they tried to shove the other back. As they pushed against each other, the man said "Get out of my way" as he glared at Crackle, who glared back in return.

"Crackle," El Topo said to him, which caused Crackle to look behind him at El Topo from the corner of his eyes. "Remember, we are to leave no witnesses" El Topo said matter of factly, with a business like tone, before he leapt down the hole he'd made while holding the gem.

Crackle then spun around, which caught the old man off guard as Crackle threw him off to one side, which sent the man skidding along the ground, who groaned in pain before he fell unconscious.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox were confused, as they walked forward a little with Black Sheep asking "Wait, what do you mean leave no witnesses?" with Dark Fox nodding in agreement as he didn't understand what was going on.

Crackle pulled out a crackle rod, before he extended it to full length making it activate. He then turned the dial to one of its settings, which alarmed both Black Sheep and Dark Fox as they opened their mouths in shock.

"Gray no," they both said as Black Sheep ran at him while Dark Fox ran at the old man. The man was getting up, while holding his head in slight pain. He turned around, just as Crackle was about to fire at him before Black Sheep tackled Crackle to the ground, making him miss hitting the old man as he hit part of a ruined wall instead.

The man looked at the smoldering crater in the wall that the blast caused, before Dark Fox reached him and said "You need to get out of here sir, now before you get really hurt." When the man didn't move, Dark Fox said "GO!" as he pointed away from the others, which made the man jump before he ran off.

Crackle tried to aim at him again, before Black Sheep stopped him by grabbing the crackle rod as she said "Gray, what are you doing? What in the world is wrong with you" in a clearly worried tone, along with having a worried look on her face.

Dark Fox was heading over to help her, when he looked up and saw Tigress leaping over the ruins as she headed for Black Sheep and Crackle.

"I'll handle the runt," she said with a grin as she ran over.

Black Sheep was able to push Crackle back enough, which caused him to let go of the crackle rod. Black Sheep then swung it at Tigress with full force, breaking her mask and knocking her out.

"Oh, pussycat down" Crackle said as he winced, knowing she'll feel that one when she woke up. "She did not protect the face," Le Chevre said matter of factly, from behind some ruins behind Crackle.

Dark Fox finally reached Black Sheep, just as she turned around and swung the crackle rod at Crackle, who ducked underneath the swing. "Hey, watch it would ya" he said while dodging some more swings.

"Gray, what are you doing?" Black Sheep demanded as she swung the crackle rod at him, as he backed up to avoid being hit.

"Come on now, calm down" Crackle said as he put his hands up while trying to calm her down. Dark Fox followed, while making sure not to get hit by the crackle rod or get in Black Sheeps way as he could tell that she felt betrayed.

"TELL ME!" Black Sheep yelled, with a furious look on her face while still swinging the crackle rod, as Crackle still backed up with his hands still in the air and an upset expression on his face. Dark Fox was walking along next to her, as he too wanted to know what was going on.

He then looked up slightly behind Black Sheep, before he placed his hands down and gained a slightly concerned look before he backed off completely, as the Cleaners came behind both Black Sheep and Dark Fox.

Black Sheep looked back and saw them, before she turned around as she tried to hit them with the crackle rod. Boris grabbed hold of Black Sheep, while Vlad stopped the crackle rod by grabbing hold of her wrist. Dark Fox knew he was outnumbered, and outmatched so he just stood there, while gripping his fists knowing he couldn't do anything to help her.

Boris placed a cloth over Black Sheeps face, as she struggled to get out of their grip before she started to slow down in her struggles thanks to the Chloroform in the cloth, while the others came over, with El Topo still holding the gem. As Black Sheep struggled, the phone fell out of her pocket onto the ground with a clatter.

Her eyes got droopy, where she let go of the crackle rod as Boris said "Back to VILE Island with you both" as he also looked at Dark Fox when he said that. Dark Fox just glared at him, while Tigress glared at Black Sheep as she adjusted her mask before looking at Dark Fox with what looked like angered jealousy, El Topo looked smug as he slightly stroked the gem while Le Chèvre looked at them both with a look of contempt and Crackle had an upset look, as Black Sheep's eyes closed as she fell asleep.

Dark Fox walked over to Crackle, with the others watching in case he did anything. Dark Fox looked Crackle dead in the eye, as he said "I hope that you know Crackle, after this the two of us will never trust you ever again" with venom in his voice.

Crackle tried to place his hand on Dark Foxes shoulder, while saying "Listen mate, just let me explain - " before Dark Fox knocked his hand away, and said "Save it for someone else that cares," before he turned around and walked over to Black Sheep. The Cleaners were still holding her, as Dark Fox said "I'll take her from ya fellas."

They both just silently looked at him, as Dark Fox sighed as he said "Look I can't run as I'm outnumbered, and carrying her will slow me down anyway. And there's no way I'm leaving my friend behind," he added.

The Cleaners looked at each other, before they handed Black Sheep over to him and started walking back to the chopper, after Boris had picked up the phone and placed it in his pocket. Dark Fox carried her bridal style, and walked off with the others following along as they headed back to the helicopter.

The walk to the helicopter, and ride back to VILE Island was awkward. As Crackle was upset with what he did, and the other three were either glaring at them or ignoring them completely. Black Sheep was asleep leaning against Dark Fox, until about halfway back to the island.

Dark Fox had then explained they were on the chopper heading back to VILE Isle, which made Black Sheep worry about what the Faculty would say and do. Upon seeing Crackle, she'd given him a much heated glare that caused him to wince as though the glare was a punch to the stomach.

Black Sheep also saw how Tigress was looking at them, and returned the glare. Dark Fox saw what she was doing, and placed his hand on her shoulder which made Tigress look at Black Sheep with jealousy, while thinking "I can't believe that he chose her over me. What does she have that I don't?" As she'd found Dark Fox to be handsome and cute ever since she first saw him, and she'd done all that she could to get his attention away from Black Sheep and onto her instead, but nothing ever seemed to work.

Crackle had what looked like a smile on his face, which turned into a frown as Carmen said "I thought that I knew you like the big brother I never had Grey." Naruto gave a nod, as he said "And I felt the same, as I thought that we were friends."

The train pulled to a stop outside a train station, as Carmen gave him a frosty glare as she said "Until that moment" with Naruto nodding in agreement.

Grey gave them a brief smile, before he glared at them as he said "What can I say fellas, graduation turned out to be a real game changer."

All those that had graduated stood before the Faculty members, with Crackle and all the others smiling up at them.

"Graduates," Dr Bellum said. "You didn't make it this far on your grades alone" as she gave a sinister smile.

Professor Maelstrom took over, as he said "We have been profiling each and every single one of you all along, to test your allegiance as well as your willingness to go to any necessary extremes," as he too gave an evil grin at the end.

Shadowsan was next, as he said "No one or thing must stand in the way, of achieving our goals" with his usual glare in place.

"You've all earned your place at our elite table," Countess Cleo said as she looked at the group, with a raised eyebrow.

"Now you'll hear the true name of V.I.L.E," Coach Brunt told them. "Villains International League of Evil."

(Flashback paused)

Gray was giving them a smug look, while the train was pulling out of the train station and the two of them were giving him a glare each.

"Evil huh," they both said before they huffed together. They both leaned forward, with Carmen then saying "So our entire upbringings were a lie" as she got an upset look on her face.

Naruto then took over, as he said "Stealing isn't a game," as he cocked an eyebrow before adding "As it does harm people, especially if you're willing to steal lives" as he gave Crackle a glare along with Carmen, as they both leaned back.

Grey gave a glare back, before he gained an upset look at how he'd betrayed them.

(Outside the train station)

Meanwhile, Chase had just pulled up at the train station and got out of his car just in time to see the train leaving the station, with a neutral look. He then slammed his fist on the top of his car, as he gave a cry of rage before saying "So close." He then climbed back into his car, reversed a bit before chasing after the train again, with the hood of his car flying off as he sped after the train.

As he was driving along, with his eyes squinting because of the wind, his phone rang. Gaining a peculiar look, he answered before saying "What is it now Miss Argent? I am a little busy driving after the train those thieves are on."

"Inspector Devineaux," Julia said as she walked past a few other officers. She then looked around, as she said "The purported crime scene is actually filled with stolen goods of all kinds, from all over the world. Cash, bonds, even art."

"What?" he said with a look of confusion on his face. "Was the apartment owner not the robbery victim?" he then asked.

{"That's what I'd said. So I did some fact-checking,"} Julia told him. She placed her phone on her shoulder, while leaning her head on it as she looked at the computer pad in her hands. "The owner on record isn't an individual, but an import-export company. But what's even more intriguing, the places that both Carmen Sandiego and Naruto Uzumaki recently robbed, the Swiss bank, the art gallery in Cairo, the Shanghai amusement park have all got ties to the exact same company," as she swiped along showing all the places she said.

"Miss Argent, what is it that you are saying?" Chase asked her.

Julia got a thoughtful look, as she said "Well, what if, for whatever reason, the two of them were thieves that only stole from other thieves?" as she gained a somewhat look of realisation.

Julia then heard Devineaux give a grunt, as he said {"No!"} where she took her phone away from her ear.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no!" as the engine of his car started stalling, where he looked at the fuel gauge to see it was showing empty. After his car then spluttered to a stop, he unbuckled his seat belt and opened his door before climbing out where he then kicked the car door shut with an angry yell, before giving an unhappy sigh with his hand on his face.

He then heard the noise of a plane, where he looked up and saw a small one flying overhead. He turned to see where it was going, and saw it was landing at a small airport next to where his car had come to a stop.

He then ran and hopped over the fence, before running to the plane pulling his badge out as he said "Interpol, official business. I am commandeering this aircraft."

(Meanwhile, back on the train)

"Looks like our journeys winding to a close fellas," Crackle said as he held the crackle rod in both hands, while Carmen was looking out the window as Naruto looked at Grey, making sure he didn't try anything. Grey was giving them both a glare, as he said "And I'm not any closer to knowing the story behind your guys chic new look," where he gave them a brief grin before returning to giving them a glare as he said "Or your name's" as he charged the crackle rod.

They both looked at the weapon with worry, before giving a collective sigh as Carmen said "Don't worry Gray," as Naruto added "We'll try our best and cut right to the chase" as they gave him a grin each.

"Things got pretty strained for us on our forced return to the Isle of VILE," Naruto said. He gave a shrug of his shoulders, as he said "Sure, the two of us were on our best behaviour, but we still had to 'endure' Coach Brunt's guilt."

(Flashback resumes)

Black Sheep and Dark Fox lowered their heads in front of Coach Brunt, who had her hands on their shoulders, before pulling them into a group hug.

She gave a sniff, as she said "Oh I blame myself for this" as she hugged them even tighter, which caused them to wince in pain, as they felt and heard some bones cracking.

"Don't forget Dr Bellum's surveillance on us," Carmen added, with Naruto nodding as he remembered that.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox were sitting down, having some downtime and eating an apple each while a surveillance drone was watching their every move, which they looked at from the corner of their eyes..

"And lets not forget about Countess Cleo's attempts to tame our wild side," Naruto said to her, as she remembered it well.

Countess Cleo stood off to one side, as she watched both Black Sheep and Dark Fox walk across separate balance beams while balancing books on their heads. A few times they'd almost fall, before stopping themselves and continuing on.

"Oh and of course Professor Maelstroms freaky psych exams," Carmen said, as Naruto shivered as he remembered those things.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox were sitting down at one end of a table, while Professor Maelstrom sat at the other end. He held up a Rorschachportrait for them to guess what it was, while giving them a piercing look. They both cocked an eyebrow at it, having no idea what it was meant to represent.

"But the worst part? Was that we'd never felt so alone before in our lives," Carmen said.

Naruto nodded in agreement, as he said "Yeah. After our failed attempt, all the other students avoided us in the hallways and none wanted to share a room with us. We'd basically become sorta like outcasts."

Black Sheep and Dark Fox walked through the hallways, as they carried their school books, while the other students steered clear of them. They looked over to Shadowsan's open door, just as they saw him close it with a bang before they continued on.

They were later back in their room, as they sadly sat on their beds with all the other beds made clean.

"The Cleaners had of course confiscated our phone," Carmen said. "Which was our only lifeline to the outside world."

Black Sheep took her bigger Russian doll, and sadly lifted the top off to reveal nothing inside it.

Meanwhile, with said Cleaners, they placed the phone down in front of Professor Maelstrom and Countess Cleo before turning around and leaving. The two Faculty members looked at each other, as they both raised an eyebrow.

"When the new school year started, we pretended to throw ourselves into our course work," Naruto said. Carmen then added, "But in reality we were really just biding our time, waiting for our moment to strike." They both leaned forward, as they said "On December 1st when V.I.L.E's booker would arrive right on schedule."

Black Sheep and Dark Fox were shown studying in the library, in Shadowsan's classroom practicing their origami skills and walking the school hallways as they secretly planned how to escape. They were resting on their beds one night, until their eyes snapped open when they heard a crash of thunder, and a flash of lightning.

Carmen leaned forward, as she said "On December 1st when V.I.L.E's booker would arrive right on schedule." Naruto then said, "Our first escape attempt may have been a dry run, but this time we were really gonna bring the rain."

At the docks, the boat carrying the book keeper for V.I.L.E was pulling up. Both Black Sheep and Dark Fox were standing behind the rocks they usually pulled their pranks from, as they looked down at the boat with a glare, before they headed back to VILE Academy.

They both entered their dorm room, and looked at their treasured items fondly. Black Sheep touched the biggest Russian doll, as she gazed at it sadly as she caressed it lightly as a tear escaped her eye, with Dark Fox doing the same with his ninja statue, before Black Sheep's gaze hardened as she said "Travel light," with Dark Fox nodding in agreement as they dragged their hands off the items.

They then looked at their beds, which had the VILE Academy uniforms laid out on them. They then took their wet clothing off, dried themselves off and then put the dry clothing on before leaving the room.

They carefully, and quietly snuck through the school hallways as they looked for VILE's booker, as well as anyone else in case they needed to hide or make up some kind of excuse.

As they crept along, they heard Professor Maelstrom's voice speaking. They pressed themselves against the wall, as they inched themselves closer to where he was speaking. "It confounds me that a device registered to our mainland bookkeeping department, ever wound up in Black Sheep and Dark Fox's possession in the first place." They peaked around the corner, and saw Professor Maelstrom and Dr Bellum in a room as Maelstrom placed their phone inside a drawer before closing it and heading for the door.

They pulled back, as the two Faculty members walked towards the door before they looked up and crouched down before lightly jumping up to the ceiling.

"It confounds me, that they never submitted the stolen property to obtain extra credit," Dr Bellum said as they turned left after leaving the room. A few seconds after they'd left, both Black Sheep and Dark Fox quietly landed, crouched on the floor in front of the door into the room.

They ran over to the desk, and crouched in front of it as Black Sheep pulled out some lockpicks to pick the lock while Dark Fox kept watch for anyone coming. After a few seconds, Black Sheep was able to unlock the drawer and pulled the phone out, with the earphones attached to it. They were about to grab it, when they saw wireless earphones in the drawer. So they pulled out the wired ones, and turned the wireless ones on and connected them to the phone.

They each grabbed one, and placed them in their ears before Dark Fox pressed the button that dialed Player's number. They looked to make sure no one was coming as the phone rang, and after a few rings they heard someone answering and were about to say something, when they heard {"Guten tag, Strudelhaus of Düsseldorf. Can I help you?"}

They both looked at the phone confused and worried, before Black Sheep stammered out, "Yeah oh, I….I was er looking for…."

{"It's me. I'm screening,"} Player said.

They both gave a sigh of relief, as Dark Fox said "Oh, it's good to hear your voice again Player."

"Where have you guys been?" he asked them curiously. He got a slightly worried look, as he said "Strange people have been answering your phone."

{"It's not exactly our phone. We kinda stole it,"} Dark Fox said to him.

"So then you guys are shoplifters," Player said as he gave a cringe. He then perked up, as he said "And the reason you haven't called me all summer long, is because you've both been in jail."

They both looked at each other for a moment, before they nodded. Black Sheep gave a sigh, as she said "Player, you remember when you told us that you used your wicked skills, to do good?" as they both slightly bit on their lips.

{"The white hat hackers code,"} he said proudly.

"Well, what would you say if we told you that we also had wicked skills too? From being raised in a school for thieves?" Dark Fox said, with them both having worried looks on their faces.

Player had an unsure look on his face, before he replied "I'd say that would explain quite a lot" with his eyes widening at what he just found out.

They both turned around in shock, as they heard footsteps approaching. After giving a slight gasp of surprise, Black Sheep said "Don't go anywhere" before they got up and went into the ventilation shaft. They were just placing the cover back on, when they saw Cookie Booker and her bodyguard entering into the room.

They looked through the grilles, and saw Cookie placing the V.I.L.E harddrive on the desk before walking off to the back of the room, with her bodyguard doing the same thing.

They looked back at the desk, as Dark Fox said "Player, we're both staring at a harddrive that's filled with data, that could fuel an entire criminal empire for a year." Black Sheep nodded in agreement, as she said "This could be our only shot to secure it."

{"Then use those wicked skills that you both possess already,"} Player said to them, making them grin at each other.

They carefully removed the vents cover, and peaked out to see what they were doing. They saw they were taking their wet jackets off, and hanging them up.

After carefully, and quietly jumping from the vent system to the floor they looked to see if the two had heard them before quickly dashing to hide behind the desk before they got spotted.

They looked around the desk, to see what they were doing now before they looked over the top of the desk at the harddrive on the desk. Black Sheep was reaching for it, and she almost had it when they heard a crackle over the speaker system, where they heard Professor Maelstroms voice saying "\Booker,"\ which made Black Sheep stop and pull her hand back from the harddrive, and to duck back down underneath the desk along with Dark Fox. "\What on earth is keeping you and your associate Mr Collin? We are anxiously awaiting the upload.\"

They heard them walking over, where Booker pressed a button on the intercom on the desk, as she said "Have you ever heard of weather, Gunnar? We had to take off our wet things, and hang them up to dry."

"Yeah, and I should think your Cleaners wouldn't like cleaning up the wet mess we'd have left behind," they heard her bodyguard say before the two of them walked off, with Booker carrying the harddrive. The two of them peaked around from under the desk, as they saw the two of them walk off, while they had worried looks on their faces.

They both came out from under the desk, as Black Sheep said "Gah, we missed it" with an unhappy look on her face, as she let Player know before they followed after them.

After carefully looking round the corner from the door, they stealthily followed after them. "If anyone sees us take it, we'll never be able to make it off this island," Dark Fox said to Player, as they walked along a short ways behind Booker and her guard.

As they were walking along, Black Sheep said "We need to make sure to avoid detection at all cost," as they passed a hallway that had Mime Bomb just standing there like a statue. They both widened their eyes in shock, before Dark Fox groaned as he said "Aw, crud."

They both spun around, to see Mime Bomb leaning against the wall with a smile on his face. "Hey Mime Bomb," Dark Fox said in greeting, while he and Black Sheep also had smiles on their faces, trying to play it cool.

"Mimosa Bombosa. What are you up to?" Black Sheep asked him, with an uncomfortable look on her face.

Mime Bomb pointed at himself, before he bent down and acted as though he was picking up a flower before giving it a sniff.

"Stopping to smell the roses?" Black Sheep asked him questionably, with a raised eyebrow.

He pointed at his nose, before holding out his hand as though he was offering her the rose.

Player had a confused look on his face, as he said "This has got to be the most one sided conversation I've ever heard before."

"Shh, quiet" they both said in a whisper. This caused Mime Bomb to raise an eyebrow at them, with a curious confused look.

They both realised what they'd just said, as they raised both their hands as Dark Fox said "Not you, duh" as he gave a small giggle with Black Sheep joining in.

They both then side shuffled down the hallway, as Black Sheep said "Okay well, happy gardening." Mime Bomb gave a disapproving look, before he moved his hand as though throwing a flower away and followed after them.

"It's all good now Player," Black Sheep said in relief. Dark Fox nodded, as he said "Yeah. It was just some creepy mime, who's always hanging around the campus watching everything." They walked a few more steps, before they both stopped at the sametime and said in realisation "Along with everyone, cause he's a spy and a snitch" as they looked at him from the corner of their eyes as he looked round the corner after them.

They both turned around as Black Sheep gave a gasp of shocked surprise, before she exclaimed "Nobody likes a tattletale," with Dark Fox giving a nod of agreement, as they both ran towards him.

Mime Bomb got a look of worry on his face, before he decided to run for it….at only half the speed a normal person would run. Since he was running very slowly, it didn't take long for Black Sheep and Dark Fox to reach him, as they both tackled him to the ground. They both hauled him up, and dragged him off to a closet where Dark Fox opened it before Black Sheep shoved him in and they locked the door.

Mime Bomb got a depressed sad look on his face, as he looked around the closet before he eventually got a smile on his face, as he found a toolkit and upon opening it found some tools that could help him escape the closet.

He was giving a grin at his lucky find, before the door reopened as Dark Fox said "And don't even think about trying to pick the lock" as he reached in and grabbed the toolkit before slamming, which made Mime Bomb cringe, and relocking the door with Mime Bomb then acting as though he was inside a box.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox ran as quickly and as carefully as they could, as they didn't want to lose their chance to get to Booker and the harddrive, or to bump into anyone else. They ran until they arrived at the hallway, where Cookie and Mr Collin were heading to the elevator that would take them down to the server room, where they could upload the harddrive. They'd almost overshot the hallway before they skidded to a stop, and pulled themselves back to hide around the corner.

They peaked from the corner, to see Booker was using a card that would give them access to the elevator. "Damn it, a keycard activated elevator" Dark Fox said as they pulled back to talk.

"If she makes it to the server room, she'll upload all the data on that harddrive" Black Sheep said.

"So you can't let her see you take the drive," Player said as he leaned towards his computer. He then got a worried look on his face, as he said "But if that elevator leaves without you two, then it's game over."

"Look like we gotta think fast then," Dark Fox said as they peaked around the corner, just as they heard the elevator ding, where they saw Booker and Mr Collin entering it. They both took their earpieces out, and placed them in their pockets before they made their move.

They both dashed around from the corner, and ran towards the elevator as quickly as they could. Black Sheep threw her arm back with the toolkit in it, before throwing it forward as the toolkit slid across the floor, towards the elevator doors. It was able to get there in time to stop them from closing, which took both Booker and Mr Collin by surprise, as Booker gave a gasp and opened her eyes at hearing the elevators 'ding' noise.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox walked over, with Black Sheep picking up the toolkit as Dark Fox said "Oh, uh so sorry about the scare sir and ma'am. The two of us are IT trainees, and it's imperative that we check the server room pronto, for um loose cables." Dark Fox gave a nod of agreement, as they stood next to her with uneasy looks, while Booker and Mr Collins gave them unsure looks as the elevator doors closed before they went down.

As they were going down with the elevator music playing, they were all avoiding the others stares for a while before Booker placed the harddrive in her pocket for safe keeping, and looked over at the other two with a suspicious look, while Mr Collin just stood there and looked as intimidating as possible.

"My, how the two of you have grown," Booker finally said, with a raised eyebrow at them.

"Oh, um yes, I guess that we have," Dark Fox replied, as he and Black Sheep gave a small smile. "And um, with age comes maturity. Which is why we were so anxious to catch you Miss Booker, so that we could talk in private," with Black Sheep nodding in agreement at what he said.

They both had worried looks, as Black Sheep said "We, ah, we just wanted you to know how super ashamed we are, of all those really dumb pranks that we've pulled on you and Mr Collins over the years," as both she and Dark Fox cringed when she said 'pranks' in case Booker or Mr Collin said something angry to them. She then continued, as she said "I apologize," with Dark Fox nodding as he said "As do I."

Booker and Mr Collin raised an eyebrow at them, as she said "I'd wondered about the absence of the water balloon attack tonight. First time in quite a few years," as she gave an intensive look to them. Mr Collin gave a nod, as he said "I happen to agree with Booker there, and I'm glad that you two are stopping with those pranks."

They both gave a shrug with a smile each, with Black Sheep lightly biting her bottom lip. Booker then gained a neutral look, as she said "I'll blame your unusual upbringing." She then gained a slight smile, as she said "One can't be expected to behave honourably, when raised among thieves after all," which brought a smile to both Black Sheep and Dark Fox. Mr Collin nodded his head in agreement, as he said "If anyone else was raised here like you two, they'd probably have turned out the same as you."

"Shake on it, Miss Booker?" Black Sheep said, as she held her hand out. Booker took it, and gave it a shake saying "Please, call me Cookie." Dark Fox did the same with Mr Collin, who said "And call me Alan."

The elevator soon 'dinged' as the doors opened, showing they'd arrived at the server room. Cookie and Alan soon left the elevator, and walked forward a bit with Black Sheep and Dark Fox smiling after them, before Cookie stopped and said "Young lady, you seem like a smart cookie." She then turned around, and said "If you wish to walk in my shoes someday, then set your sights higher then just pulling pranks, or picking pockets. White collar crime is where the real money is," with a smile on her face. Alan gave a nod, as he said " And the same thing goes for you boy."

They both had smiles on their faces, as Black Sheep said "Thanks for the career advice. I'll take it to heart," with Dark Fox nodding in agreement.

Booker and Mr Collin then turned around, and headed to the server at the end of the hallway, with Booker twirling her hand in the air as she said "Arrivederci," with Mr Collin just waving his hand over his shoulder. The elevator doors then started to close, with Black Sheep and Dark Fox both biting their bottom lips, as though to not shout in joy.

Both Booker and Alan approached the server computer, as Booker rolled her eyes saying "Children" as she pulled the harddrive from her pocket and tried to plug it into the computer. When it didn't connect, both her and Alan gained confused looks on their faces as Cookie said "Huh?" as she tried to slot the harddrive in, with no results.

"Whatever can the problem - " she was saying, until she held the item up and noticed that it was a toolkit, and not the harddrive. They both gained shocked looks, before they turned to anger as Mr Collin said "Bait and switch" before he slammed his hand on the red button in front of him, which set the alarm off in the whole building.

With Dark Fox and Black Sheep, they'd just arrived back at the floor they were on when the hallway turned red, with an alarm going off which took them both by surprise.

"Code red, they're onto us" Dark Fox said, as he held the harddrive with him and Black Sheep putting the earpieces back in their ears.

"Player, you there?" Black Sheep asked, only to hear nothing.

"Hello?" Dark Fox said, as he gave it a try with similar results.

"Gah, the signal must be jammed" Black Sheep said with Dark Fox nodding in agreement, before they put the earpieces back in their pockets as they ran off.

Meanwhile, Professor Maelstrom and Dr Bellum were meeting up in one of the hallways. "Dr Bellum, would you care to pinpoint the origin of the code red?" Gunnar asked her unhappily.

Dr Bellum typed on her phone for a moment, before saying "The server room," which made them both gain surprised looks of shock.

Back with Black Sheep and Dark Fox, they were both running though the same pipe they'd run though the last time they left the island. "Our ride should still be waiting," Dark Fox said as Black Sheep nodded with both of them having hopeful grins.

It wasn't long until they reached the grate at the end of the pipe, and when they looked through it they saw that the weather had calmed down and the boat was still tied at the docks.

They both pushed against the grate as hard as they could, but it wouldn't move no matter how hard they tried. They both gave annoying grunts of anger, as they looked out at the boat with sadness before they looked and saw that the grate had been sealed shut with bolts around the edge.

They both gained looks of shocked surprise, as they exclaimed "NO! No," before they turned around and sadly slumped to the floor.

As they leaned their heads against the grate, Dark Fox said "We should have checked this before we tried to escape." Black Sheep gave a slow sad nod of agreement, before she lifted her head up and said "Lets see if we can still escape another way," with Dark Fox nodding as he said "Agreed" before they both stood up, and headed back to the school.

At the school, Shadowsan, Countess Cleo and Dr Bellum were all in their meeting room as Coach Brunt briskly walked over. She had a slightly worried look on her face, as she said "It's past curfew, and all the students are in their bunks," she gave pause before continuing, "Except for…." before she closed her eyes sadly and bowed her head.

"Black Sheep and Dark Fox," Shadowsan said with a very unhappy look on his face.

"The two of them must be punished," Cloe said, with just as an unhappy look on her own face.

Shadowsan then entered his quarters, and walked over to where he had his sword on a display stand. He picked it up, and slightly drew it from its sheath to show his eyes glaring back at him.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox were creeping around the school, making sure to carefully peak around every corner to avoid being taken by surprise. As they ran to another corner, they looked round it and saw the Cleaners standing guard at the front entrance.

"Ugh, hall monitors" Black Sheep said before Dark Fox added "We'll have to find another way out then" before they headed back the way they'd come.

They ran down the hallway for quite a bit, and were almost spotted by Booker, Mr Collin and Professor Maelstrom before they quickly ducked back into the hallway, where they then peaked round the corner to hear what they were saying.

"Gunnar, the two children are certainly menaces, but placing the entire island on lockdown?" Cookie said to him with an unhappy look, as Alan nodded in agreement saying "I agree that this is a tad excessive."

"The 'children' may have compromised VILE's income for the entire year, thanks to the both of you," Gunnar said with a fierce scowl on his face, as he walked up to the two of them. "We must retrieve that drive at all costs."

Booker raised her eyebrows at him, before saying "Well it's out of our hands now anyway," as she crossed her arms, and turned away from him. Mr Collin nodded at that, as he said "Yeah. So would you please be so kind as to provide us both clearance to leave?"

"Fine," Maelstrom angrily said to them as he turned away adding, "Good riddance to the both of you."

"Thank you very much," Cookie said with Alan adding, "We'll just go and collect our coats and leave," where they turned and headed away from Maelstrom.

Both Dark Fox and Black Sheep were pressed against the wall, hearing what was being said with looks of intrigue before their looks changed to quick surprise, and then they gained a smile each as they both had the same idea, as they quickly and quietly ran back to the room Booker and Alan had hanged their coats in.

They both slid into the room, and ran to where the two adults had hung their coats. They both ran past dozens of books, and stopped where the coats were hung up, with Black Sheep gasping "Woah" with Dark Fox nodding in agreement. For before them, was a red coat and fedora that Booker had worn, and a short sleeved red coat with black flames along the bottom with a red diamond shaped hat that Alan had worn.

After looking at the coats and hats in amazement for a while, they both gave smirks as they collectively said together "Code Red."

Back with the Cleaners, they were still standing guard at the front doors in case Black Sheep and Dark Fox tried to escape.

They heard a crackle over the walkie talkie that Boris was holding, before hearing Maelstrom saying {"Cleaners, our bookkeeper and her associate have caused enough damage for one visit."} The two of them looked other, and saw Cookie and Alan walking over. {"Allow them both to vacate the premises, or terminate them both if the mood strikes you, I wouldn't complain,"} Maelstrom finished before hanging up, as the Cleaners stepped aside to let them exit the building.

As the two walked to the front door, they both slightly lifted their heads up to reveal it was Black Sheep and Dark Fox wearing the coats and hats of Booker and Mr Collin. They both had slightly uneasy looks on their faces, fearing that at any moment they'd get caught. They both walked as calmly and steady as they could, using the mechanical stilts to be at Mr Collin and Booker's height inside the shoes that Alan and Cookie wore.

As they walked past the Cleaners, they lightly bit their lips and bowed their heads so that they didn't see them. The Cleaners gave them both glares as they walked past, and headed towards the doors.

They'd just about reached the doors, when Vlad suddenly said "Ms Booker? Mr Collin?" which made them both gasp in shocked surprise, fearing they'd been caught as they stopped walking. They stood waiting, expecting to be tackled down or drugged into unconsciousness as they gave a sidelong look behind them, before Vlad then gave a smile as he said "Until next year." Boris said "Bon Voyage" as he pressed a button on the walkie talkie, which allowed the doors to slide open.

They both walked out, with Black Sheep twirling her hand in the air as she said "Arrivederci" in her best Booker voice, with Dark Fox just waving his hand over his shoulder at them, as the doors slid shut behind them and the Cleaners went back to standing guard.

They walked forward a bit, before slightly looking back to make sure no one was following after them before giving sighs of relief and continued walking with confident smiles on their faces.

Back inside the school, Coach Brunt and Professor Maelstrom met up outside of a room with Coach Brunt asking in a concerned and worried tone, "Any sign of them?"

Before he could answer, he heard a knocking sound which made him gain a look of surprise, as he looked inside the room the two of them were next to, at the end of the hall. He gritted his teeth, as he and Coach Brunt went to where they could hear the knocking coming from a cupboard. After opening it, Coach Brunt had a look of shock while Maelstrom had one of anger, as they saw both Cookie and Alan tied up and gagged on the floor of the cupboard. The two of them were giving off muffling sounds and squirming, with unhappy looks on their faces.

Maelstrom turned around, and lifted the walkie talkie to his mouth, as he yelled into it "Cleaners!"

The Cleaners quickly ran out, as they looked around for a bit before seeing the two of them running towards the docks where the boat still was. They both then looked over, upon seeing Shadowsan arrive between them who had his katana at his waist.

"They are both nearly gone! Prepare air support!" he said to them, as he drew his sword and chased after them, while the Cleaners headed for the chopper.

At the boat, the driver heard Maelstrom's voice on the radio saying {"Captain, be on high alert. The man and lady in red, are no man or lady."}

He looked up, as he saw the two of them getting onto the docks. He grabbed the harpoon gun that was mounted on the side of the boat, behind the driver's seat and aimed it at them. Before he had a chance to shoot, the two of them ran forward a bit before leaping into the air, and each made one of the mechanical stilts come off, where they caught it as it fell down and threw it at the man.

He looked up in surprise, as they spun towards him with one knocking the harpoon gun from his hands and the other knocking him out, as he fell off the boat. Black Sheep and Dark Fox calmly walked over, and looked at the Captain groaning in pain as they did with an eyebrow each raised.

With the Cleaners, they'd reached the helicopter and climbed aboard it. "They'll never outrace us by boat," Vlad said, as they sat down and pressed buttons and flipped switches to start up the copter. "Pity," Boris said, as the chopper started to turn its blades before the engine stalled, as the Cleaners looked at each other curiously.

They climbed out of the helicopter, and opened up the engine to see what the problem was, which turned out to be the wires were cut.

"They don't miss a trick," Boris said.

With Black Sheep and Dark Fox, they'd both hopped into the boat and were about to get ready to leave, when they looked at the cliff side and saw Shadowsan running towards them, with his sword drawn.

They pressed buttons and flipped switches while panting to get the boat started, but nothing happened. "No, nope, not that one or this one," Dark Fox said as they both hummed before spotting the ignition starter, but the key wasn't in it. They looked at the Captain's unconscious form, and saw the key poking out of his back pocket.

They looked at the key, before looking over and seeing Shadowsan running towards the docks, with his usual scowl on his face. Black Sheep hopped over the side of the boat, and grabbed the key from the Captain's pocket, while giving a small smile.

"Black Sheep! Dark Fox!" Shadowsan shouted out, as he ran onto the docks. Black Sheep was quick to toss the keys up to Dark Fox, who grabbed them and started up the boat while Black Sheep climbed on. Shadowsan had almost reached the boat, when the engine roared to life and Dark Fox put the boat into reverse to get away from the docks, with them both leaning forward slightly in surprise from the speed they moved going backwards.

They put the boat into neutral once they were far enough away from the docks, and just stood there as they stared at Shadowsan who did so in return, with his glare in full force.

They gave him one in return, as Black Sheep said "We pass," as Dark Fox took over "You fail."

Shadowsan put his sword back in its sheath, while still glaring at them. Dark Fox put the boat throttle into forward gear, and grabbed the wheel as they turned around and drove away from the Isle of VILE, as Shadowsan stood at the docks with his frown briefly turning into a smile as he watched them go.

Black Sheep and Dark Fox stood next to each other, both smiling at leaving the island at long last. Black Sheep picked up the phone, and pressed the button to call Player along with putting it on speaker.

{"Hello?"} they heard him say.

"Player, we made it," Black Sheep said happily "We're both off the island.

Dark Fox nodded, as he said "We need to know where on earth we are."

Player typed on his computer, as he said "Triangulating your position now." His computer screen then showed a map, before showing where the two of them were. "The Canary Islands," he said with a smile.

"A Spanish settlement, just off the coast of Western Africa," Black Sheep said with a small frown.

"It was an interesting place to grow up," Dark Fox said before he gave a hard look, as he added "But now it's time to see the rest of the world."

Black Sheep nodded in agreement, saying "No more book keepers, and no more VILE" as she took the hat off her head, with Dark Fox doing the same.

They were about to throw them overboard, when Player spoke up saying {"You'll both need a passport, and I don't think Black Sheep or Dark Fox are gonna cut it."}

They both saw that he had a point, and thought about what to call themselves. {"You guys do have names, don't you?"} Player asked them questionly, as they both looked at the phone.

Black Sheep then absently looked at the inside of the hat, and saw 'Carmen Brand Outerwear San Diego' on a namers tag.

"It's Carmen. Carmen Sandiego," the now named Carmen said with a smile.

Dark Fox was about to say a name for himself, when his stomach grumbled. He gave a sheepish smile at Carmen, who just shook her head at him. She took over driving, while Dark Fox looked for something to eat. He found some instant ramen in a cupboard, and was about to go and cook it when he saw what was inside the packet. He remembered what the food item was called, with it having more than one name and the drawing the food had on it too.

"And you can call me, Naruto Uzumaki" he said with a grin on his face. Carmen saw what he'd named himself after, and gave him a raised eyebrow which he gave a shrug to.

Carmen just shook her head, before saying "Now, about this whole white hat thing. Does it have to be white?" as she placed the hat back on her head, and slightly pulled it down.

Naruto gave a smile, as he put his one back on as he added "Yeah, cause we might have a better colour option Player," as they headed off into the world.

The Paris train station was in sight, as Crackle said "End of line mates." He raised his eyebrows slightly, as he said "We miss you both, Black Sheep and Dark Fox" as he gave a slight smile, before raising the crackle rod as he added "VILE wants a truce."

"They want us to steal for them, instead of from them" Dark Fox said, as they both gave a glare, as the idea of doing that made them sick.

Grey just shrugged his shoulders slightly, as he replied "You've both proven yourselves. It's all you guys ever wanted, isn't it?" he asked them, as he made a gesture with his hand.

They both looked slightly down, as they closed their eyes in thought.

Meanwhile, Chase was flying the plane he'd commandeered from the airport over the train station, with a massive smile on his face as he proudly exclaimed "AHA!"

"The league's offering you both a full pardon," Crackle told them with a serious look. He then had a look of slight surprise, as he said "Even Shadowsan is on board. They'll be able to make things right if you both just come back home, where you both belong" with a hopeful look on his face.

Carmen and Naruto both had looks of slight joy on their faces, with Carmen saying "We were hoping that we'd end up on the same side again tonight, Grey," as they both closed their eyes.

Grey gave a smug look, thinking they'd go back to the island with him. But the two of them opened their eyes, as they glared at him with Naruto saying "On our side."

Grey glared hard at them for turning down the offer, before he gave a sigh as he said "You're both still in a league of your own" before he powered up the crackle rod.

He then stood up, and pointed it at them as he said "Bye bye Black Sheep, Dark Fox" with an upset look on his face.

They both sat there unafraid, with annoyed looks on their faces, as they looked up at Crackle with Carmen saying "You weren't listening. I go by Carmen now" as Naruto nodded, while adding "And I'm Naruto."

They both lunged forward at Grey, which took him by surprise, as they forced the crackle rod to point upwards, where it fired a blast of electricity through the roof of the cabin. The three of them struggled, as the crackle rod continued to fire which was making the hole even bigger, before they separated from each other.

Crackle tried to hit them with the crackle rod, but they dodged every single one of his attempted hits. Carmen then grabbed the crackle rod, and flipped over as Grey gave a cry of surprise with Carmen then taking the rod from him and then pointing it at him.

Crackle looked shocked for a moment, before he gave a smug smirk as he chuckled before saying "Fingerprint recognition" as he pushed the rod aside. Carmen ducked down, as Naruto gave him a spinning back kick to the face which sent Grey into the cabin's window, knocking him out as he slid down to the floor. By this point, the train had pulled to a stop in the Paris train station.

"They never protect the face," Naruto said while shaking his head. Carmen nodded in agreement, before she broke the crackle rod over her knee. They watched as the energy in the crackle rod flickered for a moment, before dying out.

In Player's room, his computer beeped as Naruto and Carmen's hat icons reappeared on his computer screen.

"Guys, you're back online" Player said in a relieved tone. He then had a smile appear on his face, as he said "So, did I miss anything juicy guys?"

Grey was slumped on the ground unconscious, as Carmen and Naruto stood victoriously with Carmen saying "Nothing that you don't already know" while still holding the broken crackle rod, and a cocked eyebrow.

With Devineaux, after he'd found somewhere big enough to land the plane, he'd run over to the station as quickly as he could. He then found the train he was looking for, and waited for the doors to open. Once the doors slid open, he ran onto the train and he looked for the two of them in the cabins that he ran past, by looking through the glass doors.

He eventually came across one that had Carmen leaning against the bench, as though she was fast asleep. He opened up the doors, and then confidently stepped forward while saying with a smile "Carmen Sandiego, you are under arrest!" while pointing at her. He then walked over, while saying "I may not know where your blonde compatriot is, but for now I'll settle with just having you" as he grabbed the hat and pulled it off with a smile, as though expecting Carmen to be fast asleep. His smile was quickly replaced with a look of shock, as instead of Carmen it was Grey, who was still unconscious.

After overcoming his shock, he gripped his fists tightly and closed his eyes as he groaned before saying angrily "No!"

The train then rattled as it moved, before it started pulling out of the station. This briefly took Devineaux by surprise, before he got a knowing look as he ran to the cabin window and looked on the platform.

As he looked out with his face pressed against the glass, he saw two people walking away from the train hand in hand. They both turned around slightly, as they gave him a smile along with Naruto giving him a cheeky wink and two finger salute and when a pole passed by in front of them, they were gone.

"No! Not again!" Chase said, unhappy that they got away from him. His phone then rang, and after pulling himself away from the window, he answered it. "Yes? What is it?"

"Inspector Devineaux, we turned up something rather astonishing," Julia told him, as she looked at the officers grouped together. "I believe it's The Eye of Vishnu, from the unsolved Morocco heist" she told him, as one of the officers carried it away. She continued on, saying "We'd found it between the couch cushions, almost as if -'' before she could finish, Chase interrupted her saying {"Let me guess;"} in a snarky tone. "Almost as if Carmen Sandiego and Naruto Uzumaki wanted us to find it. Ha! If our thieves did indeed leave such a treasure behind, they must have found something of even greater value" before he hung up.

(On a boat, going down a river)

Both Naruto and Carmen were sitting back, and relaxing on the boat with Carmen leaning her back against Naruto.

{"Wait, seriously? You guys didn't take the gemstone?"} Player asked them, perplexed.

"Total win-win" Carmen said with a smile. Naruto nodded, as he said "Yeah, we knew that Interpol would get it back where it belonged, which left our hands free to take the real treasures" as they both removed clothes from two different items, revealed to be the ninja statue and the russian dolls.

"Our oldest travelling companions," Carmen said as she stroked the large doll, with Naruto running his thumb on the ninja statue. "Like an archeology find, the only link we have to our past."

They then turned their respective item upside down, and saw a tracking device on the bottom.

They tore them off, with Naruto saying "And to think, we have Grey to thank for using them to try and bait us" with Carmen placing her one on the boat going the way they just came, and Naruto placed his on the one that went passed them going in the same direction as they were.

They then placed the statue and dolls into their respective bags, as Naruto asked "Now, did you wire the proceeds from the Shanghai job to the next non-profits on our list?"

{"Food bank, homeless shelter, orphanage, check"} Player said to them. He typed away on his computer, as he added "I even had time to decrypt the next entry," as he gave the hard drive a pat. "Another secret VILE hideout, located in Southeast Asia on the island of Java," with the location being shown on his computer with a VILE icon, before it zoomed out and moved around to where Carmen and Naruto's hat icons were.

{"And just when we thought that we were through with islands,"} Naruto said jokingly.

They both sighed, with smiles on their faces as Carmen said "Paris will still be here. We need to stay one step ahead of VILE m, while we still have the advantage" before she pulled the hood up of her hoodie, while looking up at the sky as Naruto did the same.

{"I'll book ya a red eye,"} Player told them, as the boat sped up.

What they didn't know was that a boat was following them and that it had two people dressed in suits, a man and a woman.

The woman pulled out a pen from her inside jacket pocket, and clicked the top of it before saying "Chief, we have Carmen Sandiego and Naruto Uzumaki in our sights" as their boat sped up as well.
