Four zoo animals were shipped and marooned on an island called Madagascar after one animal wanted to experience the wild. Now they have to survive in the wild and wait for help to come and take them back home to the zoo. But what happens when one of the animals gets more than they bargain for in the wild? Will they survive from one of their own?

Chapter 16

The animals were happy to be reunited again on an island but they didn't know where they were exactly

Stella and Foghorn grabbed Stan and Gene and held them for a big hug

Oh, look at us. We're all here together. Safe and sound. Stella said

Yeah, here we are. Where exactly is. I say where exactly is "here"? Foghorn said

Everyone is surprised as they turn and they see many trees of Madagascar but Foghorn knows it's...

What is this place? Stan said

San Diego. Foghorn said

San Diego? Stella said

White sandy beaches, cleverly simulated natural environment, wide-open enclosures. I'm telling you, this could be the San Diego Zoo. Foghorn said

San Diego? Stella said

Complete with fake rocks. Foghorn said

Foghorn taps on a rock to prove his point

Wow, that looks real. Foghorn said

San Diego? What could be worse than San Diego? Stan said

I don't know but this place is crack-a-lacking! Gene said

What? Stan said

Oh, i could hang here. I could hang here. Gene said

Gene starts to run away again as Stan chases him

I'm gonna kill you, Gene! Stan said

Take it easy! Take it easy! Gene said

I'm gonna strangle you! Stan said

Calm down. Calm down. Gene said

Then bury you, then dig you up and clone you and kill your clones! Stan said

20-second timeout. 20-second timeout. Gene said

And then i'm never talking to you again! Stan said

Stella picks up Stan to stop him from arguing with Gene

STOP IT! Stella said

Uh...okay. Stan said

Look. We're just going to find the people, get checked in, and have this mess straightened out. Stella said

Uh...okay. Stan said

Good. Stella said

Stella then puts Stan down as he became depressed

Oh, great. This is just great. San Diego! Now i'll have to compete with Shamu and his smug little grin. I can't top that. Can't top it. I'm ruined! I'm done! I'm out of the business! It's your fault, Gene! You've ruined me! Stan said

Come on, Stan. Do you honestly think i intended all of this to happen? You want me to say that i'm sorry? Is that what you want? OK, i'm... Gene said

Shh! Stan said

He just shushed me. Gene said

Gene, you've got to be just a little bit more und... Stella said

Shush! Stan said

Don't you shush me! Stella said

Do you hear that? Don't you hear that? Stan said

The others realize he's trying to listen to the music as they run into the jungle, while they're hearing the music that has a similar beat to Stayin Alive by Bee Gees

I hear it now. Gene said

Where there's music, there's people. Stella said

We'll go to the head honcho. Stan said

A sidewalk. I say a sidewalk would be nice. Foghorn said

Yeah, what a dump. Stella said

They should call it the San Di-lame-o Zoo. First, they tell you, "Hey, we got this great open plan thing. Let animals run wild." Stan said

Foghorn gets stuck by some flowers in the jungle

Next thing you know, it's flowers in your hair, everybody's hugging everybody! Stan said

Foghorn puts at the flowers and keeps moving

This place kind of grows on you. This way, guys! Come on! Gene said

Suddenly Stan gets hit by a branch while running

Ow! Ooh! Stan said

Stan screams and then cries in his hands

Aah! Stan said

Stan then hits his foot hits a rock

Oh, oh! Aah! Stan said

Stan then hits his foot again and pricks a thorn

Aah! What the...? Stan said

Stan then jumps through spider webs

Oh! Aah! Ew! Ew! Stan said

Stan sputters as he tries to get the webs off himself then knocks down a tree on himself

Oh, no! Aah! Stan said

Stella Foghorn and Gene arrive at the part where they can see shadows from the giant leaves

OK, let's make a good impression on the people. Stella said

Right. Gene said

Got it. Foghorn said

Smiles, everyone. Let's get it together. Stella said

Right. Gene said

Got it. Foghorn said

Good. Now let's... Stella said

Stella then notices Foghorn making a weird smiling face

What? Foghorn said

Is that the best you can do, Foghorn? Stella said

Oh, i'm not smiling. Foghorn said

You're not? Stella said

No. Foghorn said

Then what is it? Stella said

It's gas. I say it's gas. Foghorn said

Gas? Stella said

Yes. Foghorn said

Wow. Gene said

Okay. Well, great. Let's make gas look good. Stella said

Stella opened up the leaves and they saw a huge small group of strange furry creatures who were lemurs

Wow! Gene said

It's not people. It's animals. Stella said

California animals. Dude. Foghorn said

This is like a Puffy party! Gene said

Gene starts dancing to the beat of the song

We should've brought chips and dip! Gene said

Stella looks around and sees that Stan is gone

Wait. Stella said

I don't know. Foghorn said

Stella pulls Marty away from the party

What happened to him? He was right behind us. Wasn't he right behind us? Stella said

I don't know where he's at, but he's missing one heck of a party. Gene said

Suddenly the party ended as there was now some trouble brewing

The foosa! The foosa! The foosa are attacking! Run for your lives! the lemur said

The lemurs ran away while one small lemur was surrounded by the foosa

Foosa hungry. Foosa eat. the foosa said

What's going on? Gene said

I have no idea. Stella said

I think those guys. I say i think those guys are gonna eat that small guy. Foghorn said

Yeah. Obviously. Stella said

Suddenly Stan comes in and meets up with the other animals

Ech! I hate spiderwebs. Stan said

Stan! Gene said

There you are. Foghorn said

Where have you been? Stella said

You guys left me behind. Stan said

We did? Gene said

Yes. Stan said

Oh. Gene said

Sorry. Foghorn said

We're really sorry. Stella said

Yeah, thanks a lot, guys. Thanks for waiting. Really appreciate it. Stan said

Stan pulled away the leaves to see the Fossa trying to eat the small lemur

Hey. Hi. We just got in from New York, and we're looking for a supervisor. Stan said

The foosa look at Stan while trying to eat the small lemur

Because we've been sitting on that beach there for hours, and nobody's even bothered to show up. Stan said

The foosa continued to look at Stan while the small lemur runs off

I don't know if things are…you know... Stan said

The animals have now entered the jungle and they see a bunch of foosa attacking lemurs while also eating one stay tuned
