"Arcee, a vehicular form is approaching." Ratchet said. "Decepticon?" Arcee asked. The satellite scanner zoomed in and advanced on the potential Vehicon. Turns out it was Junes car.
"Mom." Jack groaned. "Again?" Arcee asked. "She worries." Jack said. The car came to a stop, and Juje stepped out. The girls exited the back. "Hi, honey!" June said. "Jackie!" Anna said. They ran to hug him. "Finished my shift early at the hospital, so I thought I'd get the girls from daycare and swing by." June said.
"Good to see you again, doctor." She said to Ratchet. Ratchet ignored her. "Arcee. So, where's Optimus?" June asked. "On a scouting mission with Bumblebee. Sorry to disappoint." Ratchet said. "And I wore heels and everything." June joked. "Huh?" Elsa asked. "Mom! Why would you say that around anyone?! Better yet, why would you even think of something that dirty?!" Jack said, completely mortified.
"That's odd. This is an extremely unusual magnetic for any planet." Ratchet said. The screen displayed an orange magnetic area, similar to a planets magnetic field.
Thr Decepticons were sensing it too. "I recognize this magnetic signature, Soundwave. And it would be unfortunate to have a Decepticon invention, such as this, used against us." Megatron said. "I will secure the weapon, Lord Megatron." Breakdown said.
"Breakdown? If you can be bested by mere humans, what chance do you have against the Autobots?" Megatron asked. "Allow me to redeem myself, Master. What I have lost is a constant reminder that I must never again fail you." Breakdown said. He had a metal eyepatch where his optic used to be.
Bulkhead entered Autobot base with Miko, and Raf. "Did you feel the juice on that last turn? Bulkhead's an animal!" Miko said. She gasped when her brown eyes landed on June. "Remember when this used to be a secret clubhouse?" She whispered to Raf.
"Uh, don't worry, Ms. Darby. We were wearing seatbelts." Raf said. "I'm sure you were, Rafael." June said. "Hi, Miko. How's school going?" She asked the Japanese kid. "Why? What'd you hear?!" Miko demanded.
"Let's do this thing, Jack." Arcee said. "But, I just got here. I brought sandwiches." June said. "Mom. Look, I really need to help Arcee test her upgraded tracking system." Jack said.
Well, just be careful." June said. "Jackie's always careful!" Elsa said. "There's notbing to be careful about. It's a routine diagnostic." Arcee said. "Are you sure you need Jack for that?" June asked. Arcwe rolled her optics and growled. "Uh, oh." Bulkhead said. "Bulkhead, I need you back in the field to investigate an odd magnetic disturbance." Ratchet said.
"I'll go with!" Miko volunteered. "Whoa! Stay put, Miko!" Bulkhead ordered while gently but firmly stopping her with his servo. Miko growled and marched off.
"Why aren't you going with him?" June asked. "Someone thinks it's not safe!" Miko huffed. "But, it's safe for Jack to go with Arcee?" June questioned. "Mom, totally different." Jack said. "Oh, how?" June asked. "Mother knows best, Jack. Wait up, Bulkhead! I'm going with." Arcee said. The Ground-Bridge activated and transported the Autobot and Wrecker away.
Jack scoffed. "What'd I say?" June remarked.
Breakdown held a datapad that detected the location of the magnetic field. Hso servo turned into his sledge hammer, and he swung at a few rocks until he found what he was looking for.
It was one of the many Iacon Relics that fell to Earth millions of years ago. The Polarity Gauntlet. He picked up the Gauntlet, then heard quick footsteps. He activated his shoulder cannon, and aimed at where he heard it. There was no one.
He heard rocks fall, and turned around. There, hanging between two cliffs was Airachnid. She lunged at Breakdown, and kicked him twice, causing him to fall, and drop the Polarity Gauntlet. She ran and picked it up. "For me? You shouldn't have!" She said sarcastically.
"I didn't!" Breakdown said and swung his hanmer, knocking Airachnid away.
"I heard a rumor about a rogue 'Con. How 'bout I hogtie you and haul you in?" Breakdown suggested. He charged fourth and swung his hammer but missed Airachnid. "Huh. The primitive type." Airachnid observed.
Breakdown roared and swung his hammer at her again, but only hit rock. Airachnid stood on a large boulder above him. "Not much for depth perception anymore, are you?" She taunted. "Well, not much for looks anymore!" Breakdown viciously corrected and activated his shoulder cannon. He fired a missile and blew up the rock. Airachnid wasn't there anymore.
He heard drilling underneath him, and Airachnid's spider legs grabbed him and dragged him down. He was soon buried in rock. Airachnid dug her way to the surface, right next to the Polarity Gauntlet. "It was a lovely burial." She said.
She heard Breakdown struggle to break out of the ground. "Sorry. Can't quite understand you." She mocked. Breakdown finally broke free from the rocks. Airachnid was surprised. They growled and charged at each other.
Meanwhile, Arcee and Bulkhead were heading for the location of the magnetic field. "Don't take it so personal, Arcee. Jack's mother's just protective." Bulkhead said.
"Well, I protected her son for months, and Elsa and Anna for a few weeks without a problem before she gad a clue. Suddenly, she wakes up to reality and I'm not enough." Arcee said angrily.
"Didn't Jack tell her the girls came from another dimension?" Bulkhead asked. "Yeah. It was later that night when they took her home from Autobot base. She reacted better than when she was kidnapped by M.E.C.H. " Arcee said.
"No kidding!" They heard a familiar female voice say. They turned around, and there was Miko tagging along with Elsa next to her.. "Can't we ban her from the base?" She asked. "Girl's, how did you -" Bulkhead started. "She convinced me." Elsa said. "Gonna need a bridge." Arcee said. "Wait! Don't send us back to helicopter mom! It's just that I miss the way things were." Miko admitted.
"Strike that, Ratchet. It's only recon." Arcee turned to Bulkhead. "She's safe with us."
Bulkhead extended a servo to Miko, and Elsa, who gladly jumped on. "Sweet! Crank up Track 7, Bulk!" She said as Bulkhead raised her to his shoulder. "Track 7?" Arcee asked. "What's that?" Elsa asked. Bulkhead activated his radio, and heavy metal played. Miko pretended she was playing a guitar.
"Don't you think that's a little loud for recon?!" Arcee yelled over the music. Bulkhead cut the music off. "Aww! " Miko groaned and sat down. "A scout should be silent but deadly." Arcee said. Bulkhead and Miko struggled to keep their laughter down. "What?" Arcee asked. "Silent but deadly means something completely different on Earth." Bulkhead said and walked past the Autobot
"Bulk, let's get our recon on!" Miko said. "I always take point." Arcee said. "I know, but Miko likes to be up front s she can see." Bulkhead stood up for his young partner.
"No matter where I turn I'm the third, or in this case, fourth wheel." Arcee grumbled. She ran to catch up with Miko, Elsa and Bulkhead.
"Looks like Ratchet's magnetic flux is coming from -" He stopped when he heard fighting.
Breakdown and Airachnid were still fighting each other for the Polarity Gauntlet. "Airachnid!" Arcee hissed. "And Breakdown. Both your arch enemies mashing it up!" Miko said quietly. Breakdown managed to grab the Polarity Gauntlet, and continued fighting Airachnid.
"Over that." Bulkhead said. "The source of the magnetic disturbance." Arcee said. "Alright, what's the plan?" Asked Miko. She and Elsa were lowered to the ground with, the formers arms crossed. "Miko, don't move. I mean it. Elsa, watch her." Bulkhead instructed.
He and Arcee readied their weapons. Airachnid kicked Breakdown down with her extra limbs, making him drop the Polarity Gauntlet. She reached down to grab it, but it was blasted away. She turned and saw the shooter was Arcee. "Arcee! And look, you brought a new partner for me to snuff!" She said.
"That would be Bulkhead." Breakdown said as he rose up. "Who asked you?" Airachnid retorted. "Launch me." Arcee said. She put her foot on Bulkhead's servo, and Bulkhead thrusted her into the air. She fired both her Energon guns at Airachnid and Breakdown. Breakdown roared and charged at her, until Airachnid got in his way. "No, she's mine!" She said.
Breakdown turned to the side, only for Bulkhead's mace to meet his helm.
"Watch out for -" He started. "Got it!" Arcee cut in. She blocked Airachnid's attacks with her wrist blades and slashed her face-plate, drawing some Energon. Her and Bulkhead backed into each other. "Whoa. They're really good together." Miko observed. "Smackdown for the scrapbook." She grabbed her flip-phone.
Bulkhead, Arcee, Airachnid, and Breakdown fought. Bulkhead and Breakdown clashed their weapons together. Breakdown growled and began to overpower Bulkhead. The Wrecker headbutted the Stunticon and threw him aside.
Airachnid tried to stab Arcee with her spider legs but failed. Arcee kicked her helm and sent her flying into Breakdown. Both mechs struggled to get up. Breakdown saw the Polarity Gauntlet and snatched it up. "Thank you." He said and pressed a button, turning the Iacon Relic on. "Do you even know what that does? It isn't a toy!" Said Airachnid.
She ran off. Arcee charged and shot at her, but Airachnid drilled into the ground. Arcee shot into it. Miko continued taking pictures until her phone flew out of her hand. "HEY!" She exclaimed. "What happened?" Elsa asked. "That jerk took my phone!" Miko shouted.
Breakdown readjusted the Relic to Bulkhead. He started dragging across the floor like some super-magnet. "Hey!" He groaned. Arcee was dragged towards the Gauntlet as well. "What is going?!"
The Polarity Gauntlet lifted both Autobots into the air. "What's this switch do?" Breakdown pressed another button. Miko's ohone that was orbiting the Gauntlet was launched at Bulkhead, and he and Arcee were thrown into a rock.
Miko slid down to get a closer look. Elsa raised her arms in defeat and followed her. "Megatron's gonna love this." Breakdown said. He transformed and drove away.
Miko and Elsa ran to help Bulkhead. "Bulky, he's getting away!" Elsa said." "Hey, my phone!" Miko said and grabbed her phone that was attached to Bulkhead's chassis. But it didn't budge.
She strained to break it free, but failed. "It's stuck!" She said. "Where's Arcee?" Bulkhead asked. "I don't know." Elsa said. "Why don't you just marry her?" Miko remarked. "I'm right behind you." They heard Arcee say. Elsa's jaw dropped when she saw where Arcee was.
"Where?" Bulkhead asked. "Let's just say she's got your back." Miko said slowly. Bulkhead turned around and revealed Arcee magnetized to his back.
She desperately tried to break free.of the magnetic pull, but failed. "Scrap!" She groaned.
Breakdown contacted the Nemesis. "Breakdown here. I'm gonna need a -" A huge boulder fell onto the road, forcing him to drive to the side and blindly drive into a larg web. He transformed and tried to free himself.
Elsa and Miko grabbed Arcee's feet and tried to pull her off, but whatever the Iacon Relic did, they couldn't be separated. "You've been magnetized together?" Ratchet asked ovee the comms. "They're inseparable." Miko said. "And the device that did this is on its way to Megatron." Bulkhead said. "A Polarity Gauntlet. A deceptively simple but diabolical creation." Ratchet identified.
"Just tell me you can unhitch us, Ratchet." Arcee said. "Hold on, where's Elsa?" June asked. "Miko convinced her to follow us." Bulkhead said. "Sorry, mama." Elsa said over the comm. "I forgive you, but next time, young lady, promise me you'll tell me before you go with them, and not give me a heart attack." June said. "Okay." Elsa responded.
"The cause of this may simply be a magnetic charge providing your current... attraction." Ratchet explained. "They're not attracted to each other!" Miko remarked.
"But, Im afraid retrieving Gauntlet is our surest bet for reversing its effect. Once Megatron gets his hands on the Gauntlet." Ratchet started. "He'll use it for a whole lot more than attaching notes and family photos to the fridge." Jack finished.
"Jack, I'm not following." June said. Ratchet turned to face her. "Madam, we are forged pf metal alloy. If Megatron could repel us with the flick of a switch, we might never again have another shot at him." He said. "Instant force field." Raf said. "Worse yet, he might use it to meld us all into a scrap pile. The good news it the Gauntlet hasn't traveled far. I would strongly advise pursuit." Ratchet said.
"We can catch up faster on wheels." Bulkhead said. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! And snap me in half?" Arcee asked from behind. "Right." Bulkhead remembered. "Sweet! I'll take point." Miko said. "Not this time, kid." Arcee said.
"What?! But, you said -" Miko started. "That was recon. This is war." Arcee interrupted. "I'm not risking your well-being just so you can hit your daily adrenaline quoto. Ratchet, the kids need a bridge."
"Coming up." Ratchet responded. "Grr. You think Jack's Mom is bad? You sound just like her!" Miko complained. June's eyes widened at that. "Is that such a bad thing?" She asked. Anna shook her head. "I'm gonna go over here." Jack said. Raf didn't say anything. He awkwardly smiled at her though.
Airachnid managed to trap Breakdown to the wall of the nearby gas station and took the Gauntlet Gauntlet for herself. "It fits! You know, a girl can never have too many accessories." She said. "You were a Decepticon once. We can bring the prize to Megatron together." Breakdown said. "Go back to that boys club? I struck out on my own, because I don't like to share. This will provide the perfect repellant against 'Bot and 'Cons alike." Airachnid said.
"Never had eyes on the back of my head before. Or blasters to cover ny rear. And you get a built-in shield." Bulkhead said. He and Arcee were catching up with the Polarity Gauntlet. Well, mostly Bulkhead by that logic. "Bulkhead, you don't really think I sound like June, do you?" Arcee asked.
Bulkhead was at a loss of words for that. "She's overprotective, I'm just protective." Arcee continued. "Totally different!" Bulkhead said, hoping that will stop the conversation. The tracker beeped. "The Gauntlets close." Bulkhead said.
The signsl took them to an abandoned gas station. The old door slowly opening and shutting itself like the building was haunted. Bulkhead activated his blaster to be safe.
He heaed struggling around the corner, and there was Breakdown, trapped to the wall with web covering his face-plate. Airachnid showed her hideous form above him. "I assume Arcee isn't far behind." She said. "You might say that." Bulkhead said. "Blaster hands in the air and turn around." Airachnid ordered. "Whatever you say." Bulkhead said. He deactivated his cannon and raised his servos in the air.
He turned around and Arcee shot at Airachnid. The spider-bot backed away, but the Iacon Relic was blasted out of her servo. The Polarity Gauntlet landed in front of Breakdown and short-circuited. The device generated a huge magnetic field, attractive everything around it. Airachnid used all her strength to stay up. Bulkhead dug his digits into the ground as he was dragged towards the Gauntlet.
Breakdown was ripped out of his bonds, and he grabbed the Gauntlet, and deactivated it. Bulkhead back-flipped and landed between Airachnid and Breakdown. "Still up for a truce, muscles?" Airachnid asked. "Only because I hate Bulkhead more than I hate you." Breakdown said.
He hit Bulkhead in the chassis with his sledge hammer. Bulkhead returned fire. Arcee and Airachnid fought, then Bulkhead moved away. Bulkhead moved again, only for Arcee to get hit by Airachnid. "Bulkhead, would you stay still?!" Arcee asked, and blocked Airachnid's claws. "My bad." Bulkhead apologized. He punched Breakdown away, and faced Airachnid. "Need a hand?"
"No, she's mine!" Arcee said. Breakdown sat up. "Two bots, one stone." He activated the Polarity Gauntlet, and removed the hammer shaped part of a nearby oil harvester. "Bulk, duck!" Arcee yelled as the oil harvester was closing in. Bulkhead turned around, only to get struck in the helm by the oil harvester. Arcee was trapped underneath him. "Bulkhead, get off!" Arcee strained. Airachnid stomped on her servo. "Pinned like a bug. Of course, I can think of one permanent way out of your predicament." Airachnid said darkly. She raised her spider legs and all of them aimed at Arcee.
"I'll take top side." Breakdown said. He swung his hammer at Bulkhead, but the green Wrecker caught it, and threw Breakdown and Airachnid away, making the former drop the Polarity Gauntlet in the process. Bulkhead stood up. Arcee was no longer magnetized. "I'm free!" She said happily.
They fought the Decepticons. Arcee kicked the Gauntlet aside, as Breakdown dived at it. She jumped in the air and kicked his back, and punched his helm. The blue Stunticon slapped her away.
Airachnid saw the Iacon Relic behind Bulkhead. "Wanna dance?" He asked. "You're not my type." Airachnid said. The Wrecker charged at her, but she drilled against him. "Scrap!" He groaned as Airachnid made a grab for the Polarity Gauntlet. "Let's leave the boys to themselves."
She used the Relic to magnetize Arcee towards her. "That would be the upclose and personal setting." She said. Airachnid and Arcee attacked. Bulkhead and Breakdown roared and punched each other. One punch managed to send Bulkhead crashing into multiple empty oil cans. Bulkhead activated his cannon and shot Breakdown into another oil harvester.
Arcee and Airachnid attacked and blocked each other. Then, the Ex-Con threw the Two-wheeler into the ground. "One hand tied, five more to play with." Airachnid sneered.
She thrusted her claws at Arcee to kill her in the same fashion Starscream used to kill Cliffjumper, but missed. "Quality, not quantity!" Arcee said. She bent Airachnid's left arm into a painful position, and kicked her off while grabbing the Gauntlet. Airachnid growled and ran at her again. Arcee used the Gauntlet to repel her arch nemesis away. "Opposites do not attract." She said.
Breakdown pushed the rubble off hinself as Bulkhead changed his servo for his mace. Breakdown readied his sledge hammer again, and roared. Their weapons tried to clash, only for a magnetic force to reject them, and throw them away from each other.
Breakdown fired a rocket at Bulkhead, but it was rejected from him and returned to its owner, but it was magnetized away from him too. The missile exploded above them.
"We can't touch metal!" Breakdown realized. "We're polarized!" Bulkhead said.
Arcee aimed the Gauntlet at Breakdown, but a web snatched it from her grasp. "Always leave on a high note." Airachnid said and transformed into her purple helicopter mode and retreated with her prize. "Bulkhead, the Gauntlet!" Arcee shouted.
Bulkhead ran and jumped at Airachnid, making her swerve through the air. Breakdown made a run for it, but the Wrecker tossed the Ex-Con into the Stunticon, destroying the station. Arcee picked up the fallen Relic. "Let's finish this." Bulkhead said. "And risk becoming twins again?" Arcee asked. The Autobots left the enemies.
In Autobot base, Arcee gave Ratchet the Polarity Gauntlet. "Souvenir. But," Bulkhead started. "We don't advise indoor use." Arcee finished.
"Ew. They even finish each other's sentences." Miko groaned. "Miko, check it out. New battle scars!" Bulkhead pointed at his scar. Miko took a picture.
"Cee, hey!" Elsa said. "Elsa, let the adults talk." June stopped her. "Arcee, I think I owe you an apology."
"You do?" Arcee asked surprised. "I worry. Especially when I feel like I can't control things. Which with a teenager is all the time. And I got two new kids to worry about. Jack and I have always been close, especially after his dad left and, I guess it's just hard to accept that all that's changing. I mean I knew it would haooen someday, but, you're not quite the type of girl I thought Jack would be ditching me for." June said.
"I think we've all been a little guilty of staying attached to the way things were." Arcee said.
Meanwhile, on the Nemesis, Breakdown shamefully approached Megatron. "Breakdown, you dare to return empty-handed?" Megatron growled. "No, Master." Breakdown turned around revealing Airachnid magnetized to his back. "Airachnid? It has been some time." Megatron said. "Lord Megatron, what can I say? It's good to be back." Airachnid responded with sarcasm.
