Assam Kiith'Sid: Once, the centre of an ancient empire. One of nobility, courage, and yet of madness and genocide against their long time enemy: The Taiidan. Now, the centre of another, the very race who lost their home to their mortal enemy long ago: The Hiigarans. Then, they were exiled, their other options were either slavery or death.

What the Taiidan didn't count on, however, was the smuggled hyperdrive of the menacing Sajuuk's Wrath. So when it came time for the Kushan of Kharak using that hyperdrive in their mothership, they were quick to act against the very race to ensure their safety:

Genocide.

The Kushan had it coming, having their exiled home be destroyed. Though unlike Taiida, which was annihilated with its remains scattered across Heaven Spiral Kharak still exists, just burned to a crackling crisp. Sand dunes turned to glass, Tiir wiped off the face of the surface and the same for the Kushan inhabiting the world they were sent to adapt, far away from a world they once called Home.

Recently, though, The Taiidan Empire are split upon this revelation about Kharak's burning. Almost immediately the empire is split apart between the Loyalists and the Separatists. Turanic mercenaries paid to stall the Kushan advance while starving Kalan join the Separatists' cause for independence and abundance of food and water; attempting to expose the annihilation on Kharak to the whole Taiidani public on Hiigara.

Emperor Riesstiu himself stepped in to stall the Kushan by disconnecting Fleet Command Karan S'Jet from the mothership, but to no avail, the Kushan marches further to Hiigara and annihilated his high guard and capital fleet, including his flagship he commandeered..

Like little fireflies, these tiny craft swoop around from above and bright lights flicker in the sky. But these are not fireflies, nor flickers of harmless light. They're explosions, strikecraft, corvettes, frigates and battlecruisers. The biggest explosion was the flagship, followed by more ships exiting hyperspace: The Bentusi and the Galactic Council.

The Council recognizes the Kushan's heritage and origins of Hiigara and winning into their favour over the Taiidani. With this news brought out to the public, they have only an option:

Leave now, never come back!

At this very moment, Taiidani were forced to board transports off the planet to find a new home, somewhere in one of the now-former Taiidani colony worlds and may struggle to adapt to a now civil war with the Separatists or at least join them. The Separatists promising and guaranteeing them hospitality and care, even if they're not yet a republic.

For the Loyalists, however, they refuse to submit. Instead, staying on Hiigara to keep the fight going for as long as they can stand. Even the corrupt must be obeyed. They've lost Taiida, and they won't lose Hiigara, never to flee to a backwater world or any Colony worlds they've attained by themselves or claimed from the Hiigarans..

The Taiidani, loyal to their dead emperor at this point, are cornered, but not willing to surrender to their former brethren nor to the Kushan.
