Snippet 33- Saber, I Am Your...
Timeline- Somewhere after 'Ho-Hum and the Alien Visitation'.
Canon status- NON-CANON. Just an idea that I couldn't get out of my head...
*Somewhere in Ultradimension...*
"Devour the humans!" a fae exclaimed.
"Devour! Devour!" several other fairies echoed, drooling in anticipation.
"How about you feast on this?!" Agent Saber held up her sword. "The gathering breath of the star. The shining torrent of life." A fae at the front leapt at her, only to be shot down by Agent Archer. "EX... CALIBUR!" The energy wave lashed out, the ravenous fairies screaming as they were annihilated utterly!
"Looks like that's all of them," Archer nodded.
"My word... what was with those fairies?!" Red Saber, AKA Nero Claudius, shook her head in disbelief. "I thought they were supposed to be happy, magical little pixies! You know, like Histoire!"
"Histoire's not exactly 'happy', but yeah," Rider nodded.
"Fairies in the old legends were the kind that liked to devour humans, and didn't care about anyone other than themselves," Caster, AKA Tamamo, corrected the record. "But yes, pixies were the ones Nero was thinking of, mikon."
"To think that my mother's dimensional counterpart is controlling these things..." Saber shook her head.
"Are we certain it's the same Morgan, however?" Nero pointed out. "Something seemed off about her compared to the one Saber killed back home..."
"Well, it's a different dimension, so of course there would be some differences, mikon," Tamamo pointed out.
"Yeah, I've heard the Lady Noire in this dimension is slightly more agreeable than the one in our Lastation," Rider nodded.
"Well, we can sort that out when we confront Morgan ourselves!" Saber cut in. "For now, we press onward!"
"Right!" the group said as one.
*A few boss fights later...*
The double doors to the throne room were kicked courtesy of Archer's reinforced foot, the group swiftly entering the massive chamber. "The Planeptune Guild is here!" they all announced.
"Well, there you are," said a refined female voice from the other end, a figure standing up from a royal throne, striding down the steps to the red carpet. While her manner of dress was different, wearing a mostly black dress with white and blue highlights, the mask and black hair were unmistakably Morgan. "It seems not even my Faerie Knights of the Round Table were able to slow you down much..."
"That big one calling herself Gawain gave us some trouble," Rider admitted.
"But nothing we could not handle!" Nero exclaimed. "Your reign of terror in this Gamindustri is at an end, Morgan! Just as we ended you in our dimension, so shall we end you in this one!"
"What Nero said. However, if you stand down and surrender now, we will promise you a fair trial," Saber stated, holding out her sword.
"Oh, dear Artoria..." Morgan chuckled as she strode up to the group, stopping only a foot or so from Excalibur's point. "You really have no idea, do you? And after all I've done to meet you face to face..."
"What is that supposed to mean?!" Saber challenged.
"Saber, hold! Don't let her get to you," Archer cautioned.
"...You must be Artoria's beloved. Emiya, was it?" Morgan chuckled. "It's too bad, else I might have taken interest myself..."
"I don't think so," Archer shot back.
"Enough prattle! Drop your staff and remove your mask this instant!" Nero ordered, pointing her own sword in the witch's direction.
"Remove my mask? Why, don't mind if I do," Morgan chuckled, gripping said mask at the bottom with her free hand, then lifting it and hurling it away in one motion! Suddenly, her black hair transformed to a bright blonde color, held in place with a black bow!
"What the-?!" Saber took a step back in shock- but not only from the fact that this Morgan's face was unburned and unblemished- but that it seemed to be Artoria's own face staring back at her, though the eyes were icy blue instead of green. "Y-you...!"
"That's not what I was expecting!" Rider gasped in shock.
"Me neither!" Archer concurred. "I mean, Artoria and her mother looked a little bit similar, but not that similar!"
"You still fail to understand..." Morgan sighed in disappointment. "Fine, I shall spell it out for you. To borrow a phrase from a certain game series... I am thou, and thou art I."
A low thunder strike was heard, Saber's face freezing in disbelief. "...No..."
"What?!" Nero screeched. "You mean, you're not Morgan, but Artoria?!"
"In a manner of speaking. I am Artoria's dimensional counterpart," Morgan stated bluntly. "One who took a different path than she..."
"No...! That's...!" Saber took a step back in shock, Excalibur quaking in her hand. "Y-you're not me! You can't be me!"
"Oh? You would deny what your own eyes show you?" Morgan smirked. "There is no magic here, no illusion or deception. Surely the kitsune can confirm this."
"Sh-she's right," Tamamo nodded. "I d-don't detect any magic around her face, mikon!"
"So wait, was all this shit you pulled just to draw out Saber?!" Rider realized.
"Partially, yes," the witch chuckled. "I am Artoria Tornelico Morgan le Fae... and I, Agent Saber, am your sister."
"N... NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Artoria Pendragon wailed in horrified denial.
*Snippet 33- End*
A/N: So, part of the reason this is non-canon is because I had no idea where to take this afterward, hence the abrupt ending. But maybe I'll make a silly, parody 'sequel' sometime in the future... :-P
