It had been a few days since Serena was able to get out of the cell. Sure she had to bend the knee to Joffrey but whatever it took she would do. It was only temporary. Word had it Robb was coming south at the invitation of the King...along with the entire Northern host at his back. As of now it could be said the Seven Kingdoms was at war. The Starks and the Lannister's now fighting over Ned and word had it Renly was gathering the Stormlands levies and some said Stannis was preparing to call up his host and lay claim to the Throne.

Even when Robert rebelled here was beer this much chaos with all these Lords going to war against each other especially over the throne. The Kingdoms will burn for sure if this war truly breaks out. Serena was spending much of the day with Sansa helping the redhead try on a gown she had made herself. It was a beautiful gown that took more after the southern style. Sansa spun around and the pair laughed enjoying the time they were having taking their mind off everything that had been going on.

Eventually dinner time came and with the entirety of the Stark household imprisoned Serena and Sansa would sup with the Queen and her children. It was hard for Sansa with father in a cell and her older brother riding south for war. And now she had to sup with the Queen and her children one of which had been boasting about possibly beheading her father. Sansa made sure she was dressed nicely for dinner with the Queen but Cersei made it clear that Serena didn't have to dress up if she didn't want to. It would be rude however to dine before the Queen and not be dressed properly. She had on a nice dress that Sansa made her. It took from some Northern styles but without all the fur and thickness as it would be unbearable in the southern heat.

Sansa almost laughed at the sight of her sister actually in a dress and done up like a woman. It wasn't the first time she had worn a dress but it was one of the rare instances she did. She didn't look bad any means it was just weird to see her in a dress. Serena and Sansa locked each other's arms and made way to the royal dining hall where the dinner was to be held. Serena felt weird being dressed up rather than her typical outfit. The girl felt naked without her sword at her side but who would attack them at dinner?

They arrived to the chamber and Serena knocked on the door and waited for someone to get it. The handle rattled on the other side and Cersei was standing on the other side of it.

"Ahh good. We almost thought you were going to be late." She said letting the girls in.

They were then told to pick whichever open seat they wanted. Sansa sat next to the Princess and Serena sat beside her which just so happened to the end of the table so she was forced to stare at Cersei the entire time. It could be worse as Sansa had to look at Joffrey and it was a very awkward moment between everyone and the meal didn't even start yet.

It wasn't long before servants came out into the room carrying platters of food setting them on the table and filling everyone's plate with a piece of pork, potatoes, and corn and filled up their cups with wine. The meal then commenced. It was silent for the first few minutes until Tommen spoke up.

"What will happen to Sansa's father?"

Cersei looked up to Sansa and then Serena.

"He will be given the same option as Serena. He can bend the knee and proclaim Joffeey the King. If he does that he may be allowed to take the black with his bastard...if not." Cersei stopped and took a look at the Starks.

Sansa took a big gulp of wine at the thought and Sernea tried to keep her cool. She locked eyes with Cersei and then quickly snapped back to look at her food. An awkward silence filled the room once again and hovered over the meal for a few moments. Joffrey looked like he wanted to say something but didn't after stealing a look with his mother. The meal went on and there was some conversation between Sansa and Myrcella about some of the tourneys and Knights and having a good laugh something that she needed right now.

"Serena it is nice to see you dressed like a proper lady." Joffrey said trying to be nice as his mother commanded him to be before dinner.

"Yes you look magnificent!" Cersei added with a lift of her cup.

Serena thanked them and dug into her food. The meal went on and finally ended with dessert. Some pudding and lemon cakes which Sansa dug into as lemon cakes were her favorite. Cersei offered to have more brought out but Sansa declined the offer. The servers came in and cleared the table leaving it empty. The royal children were then ushered off to bed. Serena got up to help Sansa back to her chambers but Cersei stepped in.

"I'd like a moment with you if that's alright."

Serena and Sansa exchanged a look before the older girl gave a nod.

"Joffrey escort lady Sansa to her chambers."

"Yes mother."

He then took Sansa's arm and went to escort her to her room. Serena gave her sister a smile before she left leaving the Queen regnant and Serena alone in the room. No kids,no servants,no one. Anxiety filled the girl being alone in a room with the Queen reagent. She had organized the ambush in the throne room and may have even conspired to kill the King who knows. What would she do to her? Serena picked up her wine cup and slammed down what was left to ease her nerves.

"So...how have you been since your release?" Cersei asked.

"Good your Grace."

"Please call me Cersei."

She then stood up and walked over to the other side of the table bringing over the pitcher of wine and filled Serena's cup. She thanked the Queen before taking another long sip. It wasn't like Serena to drink more than a cup that usually came at feasts but anyone would become an alcoholic around Cersei Lannister. The golden blonde took a seat next to Serena so she didn't have to talk across the table.

"So...have you thought about what we talked about?"

"About what?" Serena asked.

"About those feelings."

Serena shifted back into her chair thinking about what to say. What game was Cersei playing at? What was going on in her mind? Her husband had just died and she didn't even seem to mourn one bit. And now it seemed like she was trying to make a move on the northern girl.

"What feelings?" Serena asked.

"These feelings." She said putting her cup down with a clank.

She leaned over bringing her face just inches away from Serena's and stopped for a moment. The younger woman could feel the older woman's breath against her face smelling of wine. Her stomach turned into a knot and her brain shut down from anxiety. Her whole body shut down. She just sat there as Cersei continued her approach before finally her lips pressed against Serena's. The dark haired girl was taken back by the kiss. The softness of Cersei's kips and the taste of wine that was still lingering on her breath. It was know that Serena had decoded what that feeling within her was. She was in love with Cersei Lannister. The girl who claimed she'd never fall in love had done just that with the woman who was turning out to be the enemy of her family.

When Serena didn't return the kiss Cersei pulled away her green eyes staring into the blue eyes of the Northerner. She never noticed how beautiful the eyes of the girl were. A beautiful blue with a hint of something else in there...it was a darker blue than most of the Northerners she has met...the few she had met. She could see in the girls face something was bothering the girl. Perhaps she moved to quickly.

"What's wrong?"

"This..this isn't right." Serena replied.

"Why isn't it right? Because I'm a woman?"

"Partially...that and your freshly widowed."

Cersei gave Serena a smile and put her hand atop hers.

"It doesn't matter. He didn't care for me nor I him...maybe once I did but he preferred his whores over his queen. Our marriage was merely political." She said trying to ease the girls mind.

She leaned back in to kiss the girl again but stopped when Serena put up her hand stopping her approach.

"It doesn't matter. Now I have to leave."

She then stood up and left leaving the Queen alone at the table. She walked through the halls of the Red Keep not really going anywhere...just walking and thinking. What just happened? Did the Queen really just kiss her or was this a dream? The craziest part was she liked it and wanted more! No! She was a woman and that was wrong! And she was freshly widowed her husband barely being dead a fortnight and she was moving on already. A man she'd been married to for almost 18 years. Serena's mind was was going crazy with thoughts.

She stopped and leaned back against a wall taking a deep breath and cupping her hand in her face. She was in love with the Queen. A girl who never thought she'd love anyone...but this was more than she ever anticipated. Finally a voice pulled her from her thoughts.

"Lady Serena."

She looked up to see the bald headed spymaster Varys attempting to get her attention.

"It appears I've caught you at a bad time but I'm afraid someone needs to see you."

"Who?" She asks.

"Come with me please."

Reluctantly she followed the spymaster through the keep down into the dungeons where the Dragon skulls were put after the rebellion. What was Vary's game?

"Who is down here?"

"Patience my lady."

They continued deeper into the dungeons where she could see the silhouette of a man standing down the way. As she got closer her eyes lit up. Torrhen.

"Torrhen!" She screamed running to him wrapping him into the biggest hug ever.

She then turned to Varys.

"Why did you help him?"

"Help who?" He said leaving the dungeons.

Serena turned back to her brother shocked to see him. He looked good considering everything.

"What are you doing here?" Serena asked.

"Helping you and father. So they let you out? And is that a dress?"

"They did. I had to bend the knee but I couldn't leave Sansa alone with these people." She stopped to look at herself. "Dinner with the King and Queen Regent."

Torrhen understood why Serena did what she did. No one could trust Sansa alone with Cersei Lannister. Someone had to protect her and there was no one better than Serena. And how she managed to sit at a dinner table and not slice all their throats was beyond him.

"How do you expect to get father out?" Serena asked.

"That's your job."

Serena burst out in laughter.

"Excuse me?"

"I'm going to collect some horses. You get father out and direct him to the Mud Gate where I will be waiting."

How was she to get into the dungeons and get Ned out at all? There were more guards at the entrance...perhaps Varys could be of assistance? He's been good so far.

"Alright...just know. We came into this world together we are leaving together. If I get captured I'll give you up in a heartbeat." She said with a chuckle.

"Wouldn't have it any other way." He replied laughing along with her.

It was about time he leave before someone stumbles upon them. He hugged his sister tightly fearing he may not see her again. Hopefully he did and hopefully soon. They then split up with an 'I love you' and left. Serena making way back to her chamber now as her eyes were slowly beginning to close. When she arrived back to her room she fell face first into the feather bed. For a moment she wondered how to get Ned out...how could she get passed the guards? But the answer would have to wait until morning as the darkness of sleep finally took her.
