"Kendo was right, you are an annoyance. How does 1A ever put up with you?" Monoma taunted as he brought down his enormous hands on Minoru. The shorter boy evaded the attack by going into a slide, slipping between some piping. However, he sidestepped the moment he could as pipes crashed down from above. Minoru could hear Shinso let out a grunt of frustration before he moved elsewhere.

But based on his movements, the shorter boy could tell it wasn't very far. Now Minoru was certain both Monoma and Shinso were dead set on removing him from this fight. Why him and not someone more threatening like Izuku? Minoru couldn't say…

However, the longer it'll take for them to deal with him, the more time Minoru would buy for his team.

"Now how do I deal with this?" Minoru thought, weaving his way between pipes with ease. The sound of crumpling metal behind him sped up, meaning Monoma had switched back to Shishida's Quirk to break through all the obstacles much quicker. But because of the shorter boy's stature and his experience in narrow spaces, he was able to easily stay ahead of the arrogant blonde. Shinso, though, was a different story.

Despite his inexperience when it came to attacking, usually full of intent and is either a hair too early or late, Shinso at least has his movement down. The general student was always too close to Minoru for comfort, putting Minoru in range of his attacks. And whether that was the extending of his capture scarf, dropping pipes down on the shorter boy, or making a comment using Uraraka, Tsuyu, or Izuku's voice, Shinso didn't let up.

"If I make one mistake, Shinso will get me. What did Shifu and Master Eclipse say to do when being chased like this again?" Minoru thought as he barely dodged the capture scarf. However, before any memories could come up, the shorter boy swung reflexively at some small pipes that flew at him from the side. Looking behind him, Minoru could see that Monoma was out of his beast form and was simply weaving between the various bars and pipes that separate them.

"Guess he's trying another strategy… As should I." Minoru thought. The shorter boy immediately dropped a hairball a few paces ahead of him. And the moment he sensed Shinso's whipping out his capture scarf again, Minoru stepped onto the hairball and launched himself into the pipes above. And before he allowed his opponents to readjust their eyes, he threw another hairball and bounced off that one. And he did it again and again and again…

Until Minoru flew right behind Shinso, baton already swinging.

The general student, in a reflex that was no doubt created during training, spun around and raised his arms up to guard. Minoru's baton was stopped by Shinso's arm, but was struck harshly in the wrist by the metal weapon. He then tried to grab the shorter boy, but a flick of Minoru's wrist moved his baton and smacked Shinso's fingers.

It was light damage, but it made the general student back off.

"I didn't think you'd come for me with Monoma chasing you like that… But I guess that's why you're my senpai." Shinso said, readying his stance as Minoru landed. The shorter boy did the same, noting how his foe's right hand couldn't stop twitching. Looks like that earlier strike to his wrist had an effect; hopefully it'll dull his combat abilities. Even a little delay or weakness would be enough for Minoru to gain the upper hand.

Shinso dashed forward, throwing the capture scarf out at the shorter boy. But with his injury, Minoru was able to take advantage in the attack's lower speed and accuracy and moved in. But when he noticed his foe pulling on said scarf, the shorter boy reflexively ducked as a sizable pipe flew past. Shinso leaned away from his own attack, unraveled the scarf, and dashed towards Minoru. This gave the shorter boy just enough time to throw a few hairballs in Shinso's path.

This didn't work as the general student jumped over it with an act of incredible reflex. Which, given Shinso's tutelage under Aizawa, Minoru should've expected it.

"I know your tricks senpai, you're going to have to do better than that!" Shinso said, throwing out irregularly paced strikes. It wasn't too difficult to dodge, especially since Minoru had experience on his side, but there was hardly an opening to safely strike. If the shorter boy mistimed his attack, he'll be overwhelmed by Shinso's taller stature. Using the next brief opening, Minoru tried something different instead of striking with his baton.

He put away his weapon, raised his arms up to his head as he ducked under a blow aimed for it, and grabbed a hairball for each hand. Shinso, who had already thrown his next kick, just noticed the change in Minoru's weapon of choice and his eyes shrunk. But it was too late; Minoru blocked his kick instead of dodging and took his chance. He placed a hairball against the leg that had struck his guard, slipping it on the heel of Shinso's sneaker.

The general student broke away, creating distance by hopping back on the foot that hadn't been affected. However, this was a mistake as Minoru threw the other hairball he was holding at where Shinso was going to hop next. To save himself, the general student threw his capture scarf at a pipe above him and pulled himself up. But this would ultimately prove to be his fatal mistake.

Minoru dropped a hairball behind him and hopped onto it as he drew his baton again. He launched himself at Shinso, who was still in the middle of maneuvering himself into a better position. The shorter boy readied his swing, taking note of how his foe's mind was thinking of a way to evade this strike. But at the speed Minoru was flying, it was far too late for Shinso to do anything.

But the baton never reached Shinso, for a vice grip managed to close around Minoru.

"Got you! Slippery little rat!" Monoma shouted, catching himself on a nearby pipe. Minoru looked back at the arrogant blonde, his form altered by Shishida's Quirk, and glared defiantly at him. In his focus to overcome Shinso, he had forgotten about Monoma and whatever plans he has. If this was an actual battle, Minoru could've lost his life.

"Thanks Monoma, senpai was getting a little carried away." Shinso said, landing back on the pipe with his good foot. He had kept the other on his toes, preventing the hairball on his heel from touching the ground.

"That's one. With this, 1A will start to crumble before our might! Once we put this one away, we'll start with– OWW!" Monoma began before Minoru simply bit into his hand. Even if he was going to be captured, Minoru wasn't going to go down without a fight. He was the self proclaimed king of nuisances, so it's best if Minoru lived up to that.

"Quit that! I'll juice you like the grapes you resemble!" Monoma shouted, squeezing the shorter boy's body tighter. Even though the shorter boy could feel his bones creaking and his breathing getting shallow, his teeth didn't let go. In fact, Minoru simply rolled his eyes and bit down even harder.

It's not like he hasn't heard that one before.

"Hold on, I'll get him." Shinso said, carefully hobbling over to the captured shorter boy. He was no doubt about to give Minoru's neck the chop, a classic knock-out blow as seen in media. But when the general student was moments from doing the deed, the sound of screaming and breaking metal stopped them all. Then Minoru's world began to tumble all around as Monoma's grip slackened, allowing the shorter boy to slip out.

Minoru clung to a nearby pipe and looked at where Monoma was, noticing that he was back to normal and not moving. Was he unconscious?

Also, what had just hit them?

"That scream… Was that Izuku?" Minoru thought to himself, pulling himself up to another pipe. The shorter boy immediately dodged a tackle from Shinso, who was moving in and out of cover between attacks. After dodging another 2 strikes, Minoru readied his baton and took a deep breath. Then, as the world around him slowed and his senses sharpened…

Minoru took a step forward and swung behind him.

The length of metal bit into Shinso's jaw, though the shorter boy suspected that the damage was mitigated by his mask. The general student quickly shook off the blow and landed before Minoru. Shinso then began fiddling with the dial on his mask, but the various plates on it weren't moving much. The shorter boy couldn't help but smirk at the scene.

"Come on senpai, I just got this. I'm putting the repairs on your tab." Shinso said, readying a fighting stance again. Minoru really wanted to say something back, return the taunt with something witty… But that's how Shinso will get you, so all Minoru can do is shake his head, smirk, and give his foe and a thumb's down.

But before either of them could act, continue the fight…

A blur flew past them at abnormal speed as the bruised body of Shishida crash landed between Shinso and Minoru. Both boys couldn't help but stare at the new arrival, confusion building up as the 1B student slowly came to his senses. But based on the injuries on his body, Minoru knew he was in no condition to move, let alone fight.

"Shishida? What the hell happened?" Shinso asked.

"Midoriya… Flying around… Out of control… Crashing into everyone… Taking everyone out…" Shishida replied, gasping for air between phrases. Minoru raised an eyebrow to that. How can Izuku be flying? The only way for that to happen is if Uraraka used her Quirk on him. And with that, there's no way for him to lose control of his flight. There was one other possibility though…

One for All had just done something to his partner.

From the power to pass itself on to others, to the stockpiling of strength, to ghosts being part of Izuku's mind… Minoru suspected something else was bound to happen. Though getting another Quirk was definitely not on the list.

"Watch out… Midoriya can come from anywhere… For anyo–" Shishida began warning before something hit him from above, collapsing the pipe they were on. Minoru and Shinso managed to jump off of it before the collapse, both of them clinging onto a nearby pipe. And looking down, they could see an unconscious Shishida and a floating Izuku, violently being pulled in random directions like he was possessed.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I can't control myself right now! Anyone who can hear me, you need to get away! Now!" Izuku shouted, panic completely taking over his voice. He had then launched off in a different direction regardless of any obstacles in his way. Minoru grit his teeth, knowing full well he can't leave his partner is this state. Sure the teachers might intervene if the situation worsens…

But they don't know Izuku like he does.

"I'm guessing this isn't part of the plan." Shinso commented, looking over at the shorter boy.

"No, it's not." Minoru answered. If he knew Shinso, he wouldn't activate his Quirk on that response. They had a bigger problem on their hands and the general student knew this wasn't the time to be fighting each other. And after a few seconds, Minoru was still in control of his body.

"If only this wasn't happening, I would've gotten you senpai… Alright, how should we deal with your flying friend?" Shinso said with a disappointed smile.

"Let's get to higher ground; we'll have a better idea where Izuku is coming from. But before that, I need to remove that." Minoru replied, pointing at the hairball that was still stuck to Shinso's heel. The general student shook his head and simply removed his sneakers. And using the hairball, stuck them together before placing it on a nearby pipe.

"Heroes don't have time to waste."

"You best watch your step then; it's going to get rough real soon." Mineta warned before he began climbing up. It didn't take long for either of the boys to emerge from the tangle of steel and pipes, getting a good look at the blue skies above them. But there wasn't time to enjoy the view as a green blur zipped around erratically at incredible speeds, destroying all that stood in its way with ease.

Minoru looked over at Shinso, noticing how tense his shoulders were, and reached out to him with a hand weighed with courage.

"Calm down, you've made it this far, right? We'll get this situation under control." The shorter boy said. Shinso stared at Minoru, thinking on his words and the emotions running through him, before a smirk spread across his face.

"I was making sure you're still on the ball. What's the plan?"

"You're the key. We need to slow and calm Izuku down long enough for him to hear and respond to you. The brainwash should stop him dead in his tracks." Minoru replied. Before Shinso could ask his next question, he ducked just before Izuku zoomed over them like a bullet. They looked behind them but found nothing. Izuku must've dived into the steel jungle below after making that pass.

"… And how do we do that?" Shinso asked, tension in his voice.

"… I'm working that part." Minoru admitted; sweat rolling down the side of his face. The shorter boy looked around, not just to keep an eye out for his partner, but to see if anyone else was around. Before long, he was able to spot Kendo and Reiko emerging onto the roof of one of the taller buildings. They looked quite beat up, no doubt having a run in with Izuku.

Looking elsewhere, having sensed movement, Minoru saw Tsuyu and Uraraka surfaced from metal jungle below. They were less beat up, but still worn looking. Still, it was good that the two of them were also okay, since that meant Minoru has more options to help his partner. Izuku's blurred screaming caused both him and Shinso to duck, with the hapless green haired boy soaring by overhead. Minoru quickly stood and noted where his partner was going.

He had first taken a dive at Kendo and Reiko, who barely jumped out of the way as Izuku barreled through the doorway they just came from and out the other end. He then had flown over at Ochako and Tsuyu, who also just dodged the green blur. But the moment Izuku missed, he was pulled back towards Kendo and Reiko, punching through the building again once they dodged him. Neither of the pairs will last long if they were all separated like this.

"We should meet up with whoever's left first, we'll need their help." Minoru said, turning to Shinso.

"Call over your team, we'll head to 1B after that. Let's hope that'll be enough to stop your friend." He replied. The shorter boy could only nod to that before he turned to face Tsuyu and Uraraka's direction. Cupping his hand over his mouth, Minoru took a deep breath, and shouted with all his might.

"FROGGER! ROUND FACE! WE'RE TEAMING UP WITH 1B! WE'LL BE ON A ROOF EAST OF YOU!"

"SMALL POP WE'LL SEE YOU THERE!" Tsuyu shouted back without a hint of hesitation.

"Ah, so that's why I couldn't get any of you. That's pretty smart of you senpai." Shinso commented with a smirk as Minoru began readying himself again.

"Save the flattery for when we're out of this mess." Minoru replied dryly before launching himself in Kendo and Reiko's direction with a hairball. With Shinso following closely behind, the shorter boy made short work of the distance with careful placement of hairballs. Minoru was also keeping count, doing his best to not use too many hairballs until they're at the critical moment of Izuku's rescue.

Though given how his partner was moving around, the shorter boy hoped they won't need a rescue themselves.

"Kendo! Yanagi! Change of plans!" Shinso shouted as he and Minoru landed before the 1B girls. While the two jumped at the sudden arrivals, they calmed down slightly when they saw it was Shinso. Though not before questioning the company he was currently with…

"… He's brainwashed right? Then why did you bring him here instead of back to base?" Kendo asked, pausing for a moment as she looked at the shorter boy.

"Yeah, sorry, I'm still me. We've got bigger problems to worry about than our fight." Minoru said as the sound of Izuku screaming flew by, punctuating his point. Kendo looked up at the erratically flying person, then back at Minoru with hesitation in her eyes. But after the group had to suddenly dodge the screaming Izuku again, with him plowing through the roof they stood on, the girls of 1B begrudgingly agreed with the truce.

"Then what do you have in mind? I don't know if you realize this, but your friend is moving a little too fast for us to catch normally." Kendo said.

"We're the hero classes of UA, we're anything but normal. I have an idea that you won't like very much." Minoru replied with an uneasy smile. Kendo and Yanagi stared at the shorter boy in disbelief, turning to one another and wondered if this was going to be worth it. But despite their hesitation on the matter, Shinso put his vote of confidence towards Minoru.

"Let's give it a shot, Plus Ultra as they say."
