Narrator's POV

Location: Blackbox Theatre

Date: Friday March 27th 2012

Time: 8:52PM

The entirety of the eleventh grade took their seats in the blackbox, where Sikowitz stood at the front of the room, attempting, but failing colossally, to capture the attention of the hundreds of students chattering amongst themselves.

"Hellooo? Kids, I need your attention? I need you t-do you see me waving my hand back and forth?" he shouted, frantically jerking his arm around over his head.

As the several discussions continued, the bald headed man sighed.

"Good Gandhi, how am I supposed to-oh!" he muttered under his breath, before cutting himself off. Smiling, he inhaled, taking in a deep breath.

"ALRIGHT, WHOSE FIFTY BUCKS IS THIS?!" he yelled at the top of his lungs.

Within seconds, every student was silent, looking expectantly to him, awaiting to hear more about the non-existent unclaimed money.

"Hehe, I knew that would shut you noisy teens up. Now, the rules for the next two days. The boys have the option of setting up sleeping quarters either in here, or the theatre history classroom. The girls can each choose between my classroom and the gym."

The students all gave approving murmurs to the sleeping arrangements as Sikowitz continued.

"If I can't be found, chances are that I'll be in the teacher's lounge, just knock if you need me for anything. You teens are free to do whatever you want, just don't damage anything... or set anything on fire, Jade. You all got that?"

A chorus of affirmative responses flooded the room. Jade however, scoffed before responding to Sikowitz's comment.

"For the hundredth goddamn time, it wasn't me!"

"Jade, we all saw on the security tape. It was clearly you throwing the burning textbook out of the window. You're lucky Principal Helen only gave you three days detention." Sikowitz scolded.

Jade briefly glanced at Cat, who was nervously chewing on the ends of her hair, and gave an apologetic glance to the redhead.

"It was Cat who left her book next to the Bunsen burner in the lab. I just tossed it out the window before the flames could spread anymore that they already had. So, 'thank you for keeping Cat from burning the school down' is what I believe you're trying to say." she remarked sarcastically.

Cat nervously cried out, her hair hitting Tori in the face as she snapped her head to look at Jade.

"JADE!? You pinky swore you'd never tell anyone what I did!" she asked, her hurt evident in her voice.

"That was you!?" asked Beck, Andre, Tori, and Robbie simultaneously, staring incredulously at their red headed companion, who then fixated her eyes on the floor in shame.

"And I thought the Northridge girls were bad." Rex said, pushing Cat over the brink and causing tears to stream down her cheeks.

Before any further questioning of Cat's unplanned arson could continue, Sikowitz cut in.

"ALRIGHT! THAT'S ENOUGH, REX! Robbie, control your puppet."

"He's not a puppet..." Robbie sadly mumbled.

"Remember those rules guys, let's not have a repeat of the Lunar Concert or... that science lesson."

"It was an accident!" Cat protested.

"It doesn't matter Cat, it's already been dealt with. Now, you little munchkins, I've explained to you all the rules, so now I bid you all adieu." Sikowitz smiled before walking to the door. He opened it with a creak before turning to the students once more.

"Oh, and I almost forgot, we've officially begun! The time is 9PM. Forty eight hours to go. Have fun!" he said, before walking out of the door, leaving the kids in the blackbox to set up for the next two days.

Jade grumbled bitterly and sunk further into her chair, tightly wrapping her arms around her torso. She watched as everybody started getting up from their seats, and let her mind wander to the events of a few hours prior, in the afternoon, when she'd let herself into this stupid situation in the first place.
