Narrator's POV

Location: Hollywood Arts Chemistry Classroom

Date: Saturday March 28th 2012

Time: 3:26PM

The two frenemies made their way to the chemistry classroom with Andre to join the rest of the gang. On their way, Tori filled Andre in on everything Babygirl-related and in return, Andre began explaining to the girls how Trina and Robbie had been growing wary of the two, before he had left to find them several minutes prior.

"-so then, Robbie brought up the fact that you guys lied about the chem lab and then Trina mentioned that you guys were acting weird yesterday during Truth or Dare. Cat tried changing the subject and got them to start looking for the flag again. That's when I left to find you guys."

"Thank God for Cat." Jade sighed, before turning to Andre.

"What about Beck? Did... did he say anything?" she asked.

"No, we left the bathroom and he hasn't spoken since."

"Oh..." was all Jade could respond with, before Tori grabbed her attention, pivoting the topic of conversation.

"Okay, so do you wanna stay by me when we go inside?" the brunette questioned Jade as they approached the room in question.

Jade thought about it for a minute, before slowly shaking her head.

"No."

"Really? You're sure?" Tori asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I mean, we're only gonna be in there for what-ten, twenty minutes? I can handle it." Jade shrugged.

"Okay then." Tori nodded, and opened the door.

The three of them walked in on... an odd scene, to say the least.

Cat was wielding a trash grabber in her right hand, as she balanced unsteadily on a stepladder. Surrounding the redhead was a silent Beck along with an arguing Trina and Robbie, all of whom had their arms held out infront of them, as if to catch the redhead in the very likely event of her falling.

"Well, this seems like a fun party." the latina joked, causing the other four to finally shut up and take notice of herself, Jade, and Andre.

"Oh, hey Tor! You and Jade are finally back." Robbie waved.

"Hey Robbie. What... are you guys doing?" Tori asked, brushing past Robbie's comment about their disappearance.

"We're trying to find the flag! Beck thought it might be at the top of one of these cabinets, so we're using all this stuff to try and get to it." Cat exclaimed gleefully, not noticing that during her explanation, she would've almost smacked Beck in the face with the grabber, had he not ducked in time.

"Ohh ok." Tori nodded, as she, Jade, and Andre joined the others.

"Why not just have one of the boys on the stepladder? You guys are all taller than Cat." Jade pointed out.

"Hey!" Cat pouted, slowly climbing down from the ladder.

"She's not wrong, Cat. And we already tried with Robbie and Beck. Their arms weren't slim enough to fit between all the little crevices. I doubt Andre's will either." Trina replied.

"Okay, why don't you try, Trina?" Robbie suggested. Cat handed Trina the trash grabber and the older Vega then proceeded to climb up the ladder.

While Trina was able to see the top of the cabinet a little better than Cat, she was still too far away to be able to reach the far corners.

"It's too far to reach." Trina sighed, climbing back down.

"How about I go up? I'm a little more flexible." Tori offered.

"I don't think that'll make a difference Tor, you and Trina are practically the same height." Andre said.

"How about Jade goes up? She's a couple inches taller." Beck piped up, speaking for the first time during the current conversation.

"Yeah, Jade you go up." Trina agreed, handing Jade the grabber.

"N-No, I'm really not that much taller." the goth stuttered, not in the mood to participate.

"C'mon Jade, at least try. Another team could come in here and beat us at any second." Robbie said.

Jade looked to Tori to back her up, but the latina couldn't think of any sort of excuse to help. The goth then turned to Cat and Andre, only to be met with the same expressions of helplessness.

Seeing no way to avoid it, Jade reluctantly agreed.

"Fine." she caved, slowly getting onto the stepladder.

The goth begun poking around the top of the cabinet using the trash grabber, and it wasn't until a few minutes later that she spotted a small pole at the very far corner, with a red triangle of fabric tied onto it.

"I see it!" Jade yelled down, causing a surge of celebratory cheers and high fives to circle around the group.

Using the grabber, Jade tried to get ahold of the flag but it was no use, the pole was too thin. The goth then tried to manoeuvre the flag as close to herself as possible, in order to get near enough to grab it in her hand.

However, the closest Jade could get was still too far away to be able to get a decent grip on it. Sighing irritatedly, the goth stepped down the ladder.

"I can reach it, but not close enough to grab it." she deadpanned, rubbing her forehead. The gang all groaned in defeat, until Trina suddenly spoke up.

"Wait, when Cat and I were searching our area, we found some double sided tape. Could we use this somehow?" the older Vega asked, pulling the roll of tape out of her pocket.

"I have an idea; Jade, you could wrap the tape on your hand and that would make the flag stick to it. You said you can already reach it, so you should be able to get it." Robbie proposed. Trina, Beck and Cat gave approving nods in regards to Robbie's idea, and the goth let out a sharp breath of frustration.

"Why am I even fucking doing this?" Jade muttered, snatching the tape from Trina and beginning to unravel it, wrapping her hand in the sticky plastic.

After taping up her palm, Jade began to struggle with wrapping her fingers, so Beck stepped forward, in an attempt to help his girlfriend, only to be violently shrugged off by said girlfriend.

The Canadian sighed and returned back to where he was standing.

A minute later however, Jade's hand was completely covered in tape, and once again, she jumped back onto the stepladder. She leant forward as much as she could, but her small bump was restraining her ever so slightly.

"Hey, shuffle me a bit to the left." she said. Beck, who was closest to the ladder, did so, not realising that his internal frustration was translating into harsh, jerky pushes on the stepladder, causing Jade to stumble ever so slightly.

"A little bit more."

Once again, Beck moved the ladder.

"You're pushing really hard, it's jerking me around." Jade shouted down to her boyfriend, who said nothing but sighed.

"Alright, now move the tiniest bit forward." she continued, now less than an inch away from the flag.

Annoyed, Beck zoned out as he did what Jade instructed, moving the ladder forwards. However, he failed to realise just how hard he had done it that time.

Jade managed to finally get her hands on the flag, but not before the stepladder jerked even harsher than the last time, causing her to come crashing to the floor, flag in hand.

The goth grunted with pain upon impact with the ground. Immediately, Tori, Andre and Cat ran to her.

"Shit, are you okay?" the latina whispered, worriedly scanning her eyes over Jade's body.

Thankfully, the goth nodded.

"Oh thank god, that scared the crap outta me."

Tori slowly helped her up, with the help of Cat and Andre, and sat her down on a chair. It was then that Beck guiltily walked up to her.

"Jade I-I'm...sorry. I didn't realize-"

"I fucking told you to watch how hard you were moving the damn thing." she hissed, cutting him of before getting up and shoving the flag against Robbie's chest.

"Look. Here's your dumb flag, now let's go to Sikowitz." she spat, ripping the tape off her hand.

Without saying another word, the seven teens and puppet left the chemistry room, making their way to their favourite bald-headed maniac.
