Prologue
"So, are things with you and your sister better now William? Did you fix things, or did they not get fixed?" a doctor says to a man in a room.
"Actually, things didn't get better after that day. Sara struggled for a couple of days, and then she couldn't take it anymore," William says to the doctor.
"So does that mean she-" "Yes, that is what that means" William interrupts. "I'm so sorry." "Don't worry, it's all good now."
"After that, I blamed myself for what happened because of Capone." William took a deep breath before continuing. "I blamed myself for so long, that I actually started to believe that it was my fault. But now I don't believe it was my fault now."
"So, you blame the Mal0s?" says the doctor. "No, Capone has a little choice in this as much as I do. Following people is in their nature; it'd be so much easier if there was someone, something to blame but there isn't. Just bad luck."
"That's why I'm here, I failed to save Sara, and I resolve to do something better. I want to help people who were like us, who are forced to face a darkness beyond their understanding."
The doctor nods before saying: "You won't always get that opportunity, the Foundation has to make difficult decisions, and some people struggle to live with it."
"I get it, and I'll do whatever needs to be done. But if I can save one person from something beyond their understanding, then maybe it will have been worth it," says William.
"Ok I think that's enough, I've heard everything I need to," says the doctor before standing up.
"Please follow me. Well? We don't want to keep the team waiting; there are a lot of people to introduce you to." "No ma'am of course not." William stands up to follow the doctor.
Before leaving the room, he looks in a mirror on the wall and smiles as he can see Capone in the reflection. "Thanks Capone, we did it," he says before waving at the mirror.
Capone then slowly raises his hand and waves at William.
