6. Chapter 4D

Chapter 4

After getting changed into normal clothes, Daniel follows Dr. Segal out of the hospital room and into a facility. "Welcome to The SCP Foundation," says Dr. Segal. "What is the place?" says Daniel. "This is a place where we find monsters, and capture them before they do any harm." "Are you serious? Monsters?" "Very serious."

After walking around for a few minutes, Dr. Segal leads Daniel into a room with a big machine in it. "We like to call this one: SCP 914." "I thought you said you catch monsters," says Daniel. "Well, a SCP can be anything and anyone," says Dr. Segal. "But what does SCP even mean?" One of the other scientists walks up to Daniel and says: "It's short for Secure Contain Protect."

"Ah, Dr. Gears. I was looking for you actually," says Dr. Segal. "What do you need?" says Dr. Gears. "I was wondering if I could show Mr Anderson here, what 914 does." "Only if it's a harmless thing." Dr. Segal nods and Dr. Gears says: "Ok, everybody out. Go ahead and take a five minute break."

All of the other scientists walks out of the room, the only ones inside are Daniel and Dr. Segal. "So, SCP 914 is a clockwork machine that can turn one thing, into another thing." "Interesting." Dr. Segal clears his throat before saying: "Look. I know we just met, but I think you can help me with a brilliant idea I just came up with."

Daniel looks around before saying: "I'm listening." "Well, you know that mysterious stranger in those photos of yours?" Dr. Segal says whilst pointing at Daniel's phone. "Yes?" "That is something we call: SCP 1471. The only way you can encounter it, is by downloading a phone app. And I'm guessing you've already did that, right?"

Daniel nods and Dr. Segal holds his hand out. "May I?" Daniel slowly hands him his phone and then he places the phone into the machine. He turns a dial to: "Very fine," presses a button and the machine turns on. Whilst the gears turned inside of 914, Daniel says: "What are you doing?" Dr. Segal smiles and says: "I'm bringing 1471 into the real world."

The machine then stops, the door opens and inside, is nothing.
