Chapter 12
Daniel's eyes widened before saying: "Mal0? The Wendigo created Mal0? Is that why she has a skull for a face?" Dr. Clef nodded and says: "Exactly. The skull is like a calling card. Also it makes sense because it is a skull." Daniel looks confused before saying: "What do you mean?" "I'll show you." After a few minutes, they approach a containment chamber labelled: SCP 323.
"Are you ready?" says Dr. Clef. Daniel holds up the gun and says: "Ready." They enter a observation room and on the other side of some glass, is a glass case. And in the glass case, is a deer skull with big horns. "Now I know what you're thinking, but this isn't just a skull. You see, the spirit of The Wendigo is attached to the skull. And if someone wears it, they become The Wendigo."
"Ok, but what are we doing here exactly?" Dr. Clef pulls out his phone and gives it to Daniel. "When I was looking for you, I went over some security footage. And I noticed something wrong." Daniel looks at the footage and it shows Mal0 attacking some soldiers. However, sometimes she hesitates to kill someone.
"You see how 1471 struggles to attack sometimes?" says Dr. Clef. "Yeah, but why is she doing this?" says Daniel. "I don't think it's her that's doing that. It's The Wendigo. When the doors opened, it also turned off the security protocols for the SCPs. Which means 232 is at it's strongest, so he possessed 1471 and is using her to kill people."
Daniel looks at the skull and says: "Mal0's trying to fight him." "Correct. So I think if we turn the security back on, we can exorcise The Wendigo out of 1471 and contain him again." "That sounds like a good plan. What do I do?" Dr. Clef grabs a chair and sits down next to a computer and says: "Well, I know how to use the computer. So I need you to cover me. If you see anything out of the ordinary, shoot it."
Daniel nods and points his gun towards the door. Dr. Clef starts typing on the computer. Suddenly, a notification appears on Daniel's phone. He looks at it, it's a text from Mal0 but she appears to be struggling to stay in control of herself. "Help. Me." Then a photo appears, it shows Mal0 standing next to Dr. Clef.
Daniel spins around and sees the possessed Mal0. She grabs Dr. Clef, repeatedly slams his face into the keyboard and throws him through the glass into the containment chamber. She then grabs Daniel by the throat and throws him as well. He hits the glass case and it falls to the floor and shatters.
The possessed Mal0 walks into the containment chamber and picks up The Wendigo skull. She then stands over Dr. Clef and shoves it onto his face. "Oh no," says Daniel. She then turns to him and says in a deep voice: "Oh yes."
