Chapter 17
Mal0 slowly turns around and stares at Daniel. He then pulls out the dog collar and says: "Mal0? It's you? The whole time, it was you?" She slowly nods and walks over to him. "But...why didn't you tell me?" "Because I wanted you to remember what happened last year, before I told you," says Mal0. She then grabs the collar and puts it on her neck.
One year earlier.
On a dark night, Daniel was helping his mum cook dinner. Mal0 was a ordinary wolf, playing with a chew toy. Meanwhile, Daniel's dad watches for afar. He then signals his team to bring over The Wendigo. He had a human body that was decaying. He also wore his skull with giant horns. "Hungry. So...hungry," says The Wendigo.
"If you're so hungry, then why don't you go in that house and find something to eat?" Daniel's dad as he pointed at the house. The Wendigo ran to the house and banged at the front door. "What's that?" says Daniel. "I don't know," says his mum. Suddenly, the front door flew off it's hinges and crashed onto the floor.
The Wendigo slowly walked in and stared at Daniel and his mum. "Holy shit!" "Run Daniel!" Unfortunately, Daniel was too scared to run. His mum grabbed a knife and watched as The Wendigo approached her. When she tried to stab him, he grabbed her arm and snapped it like a twig. Daniel's mum let out a bloodcurdling scream.
The Wendigo opened his mouth and leaned over and chewed on her neck. "Mum! No!" Daniel only watched as blood poured out of the wound. Suddenly, Mal0 jumped on The Wendigo and bit him. After dropping the lifeless body of Daniel's mum, he pulled Mal0 off of him, saw that his blood was in her mouth, before throwing her across the room.
"Mal0!" Daniel eyes were watering, as The Wendigo approached him. He pushed him against a wall and says: "I must eat." He opens his mouth and goes to kill Daniel. Then, a gunshot went off and The Wendigo stumbled backwards. Standing in the doorway, was Dr. Clef holding a gun. "Dinner time's over, you freak."
The Wendigo charged at Dr. Clef, but then he got shot multiple times. He slowly fell onto his knees, before collapsing onto the floor. Daniel slowly steps out and says: "What the fuck was that thing?!" "That was The Wendigo. You've heard all about it, right?" says Dr. Clef. Daniel nods and looks at Mal0.
"Oh shit. Mal0!" He ran over and inspects her. "Are you okay?" After Mal0 wagged her tail, there was a loud cracking sound. She moaned in pain and Daniel's eyes widened. Mal0's legs were growing, they grew until she was able to stand on her paws. Her arms grew as well, but her paws changed into humanoid hands.
Daniel slowly walked backwards, as the fur and skin on her face fell off. Mal0 then grew hair on her skull, until it was long like human hair. And then her eyes turned pure white. It was almost like they were glowing. "Oh...my...god!" says Daniel. Dr. Clef saw what was happening and says: "Look out!"
He then pulls out his gun and shot Mal0 in the chest. She slowly fell backwards, then she tried to sit up. She reached for Daniel's hand, but then Dr. Clef walked over and shot her in the skull. Her blood touched his phone, the screen started to glitch and then it turns off. Daniel covers his face with his hands, and cries loudly into them.
"I'm sorry you had to see all of that. But don't worry, you won't remember this for a while." Dr. Clef uses a tranquilizer gun and shoots Daniel with it. He then collapses and falls into a deep sleep.
