Director Nicolas Fury of SHIELD was in a room over looking the defrosting of one Captain Steven "Steve" Rogers aka Captain America. The room was kind of like an overview room and an operating room in a hospital for everyone who was not apart of SHIELD. Fury also had Captain Rogers file that Peggy Carter had written up about him during world war 2 and a bit after. The file included Captain Rogers two love interests and the names of said interests.
And one name stood out to the Director that the other name did not and that name, Hadrian Potter-Romanoff. Fury was shocked to see his adopted grandson's name on this file, especially with a note saying that he made a good impression on the former SHIELD Director. Fury never said anything about this file to Hadrian due to the fact that he hadn't gone to the past yet and had yet to meet anyone. Though Hadrian knew that Captain Rogers was here and had even visited the Captain while in his icy sleep a few times.
Hadrian grew up with stories about the Captain and his Howling Commandoes and had even met Peggy Carter and visited her once a week. When Hadrian learned about the former SHIELD Director's Dementia and Alzheimer's, he knew what to do. Hadrian had ordered some Anti Dementia, Anti Alzheimer's potions and other things to help. He did this to help with the memory of Peggy so she could recognize the Captain when he comes to see her in the future.
Peggy was very grateful for the wizard who came into her life and helped her and strengthened her mind from the lethal mind disease. Hadrian was like another grandson to her and she treated him as such and even gave him candy when he was with her.
In the box labeled Captain America, there was a sub file that had all the information Peggy could get on Hadrian and out of the Captain and Sargent James Buchanan "Bucky" Barns before that fateful mission. Bucky ended up in Hydra control with his left arm being replaced with a cybernetic one that is controlled by his mind like the other. Fury, Agent Phil Coulson and Agent Natasha Romanoff found Bucky on a routine sweep of a Hydra base not that long ago. When the healers at St. Mungo's fixed his mind and got rid of the triggers they wanted to put him under a magic induced coma.
But Fury and Natasha had a different idea on what to do with him and keeping him asleep till they needed him to wake up. They put him back in his pod thing that they confiscated from HYDRA and put him in Natasha's vault in the London branch of Gringotts. Now SHIELD has slowly been getting rid of HYDRA bases one base at a time and slowly getting rid of the HYDRA agents that were stationed inside of SHIELD. There were a lot of people who loved taking a shot at the enemy without any repercussions.
Fury even knew that Alexander Pierce was in HYDRA, but couldn't get to him just yet because of how far up the chain he was. He was waiting for the right moment to strike him down so HYDRA could be gone forever. Fury told Natasha that her son was in both Captain Rogers's and Sargent Barnes's file, so she had been watching her mail to see when Harry went back in time. But no one knew when Harry was going to be in the 1940's during this time, all the file said was 15 years old.
Since going undercover for KGB via the Red Room as Lily Evans to Hogwarts, Natasha Romanoff had one thing going for her in her life. And that was her one and only son Hadrian "Harry" James Potter-Romanoff who looked just like his father but with her eyes and a bit of red in his hair when the light hit it right. Natasha had Harry 15 years ago right before the Red Room made it impossible for her to have anymore children. The Red Room usually let their Widows have at least one child so they could say they are doing their missions for their child.
During his seventh year at Hogwarts, James found out who his wife really was and what she was really doing in the wizarding world. James kept her secret knowing that access to the wizarding world would not end well only her but her "family" as well and he knew Natasha loved her mix matched family and the magic she surrounded herself with. And on Halloween 1981, Voldemort came to the house when Natasha was giving a mission report to her S.O. and a different Widow replaced her for a bit. And because the Red Room fooled the wizards so well, Dumbeldore really thought Melina, Alexei and Yelena were Lily's family and left Harry with them after he thought she died.
Since Remus and Sirius also knew her secret, Natasha kept Sirius out of Azkaban and kept Remus in constant supply of wolfsbane potion for his time of the month. Peter was also caught that Halloween night and brought to the ministry for a trial because Natasha never trusted him in the first place. Natasha quickly cut her hair into a bob, put a blue hair changing spell on it, used her real name and played it off as Remus's pen pal from America when she demanded Sirius's trial be Peter's. After everything was settled, Natasha was allowed to grieve as the father of her child and the man who was able to give her comfort was gone.
The director of the Red Room, Dreykov, was able to understand why his prized Widow was like this over a man. Each Widow always formed an attachment to someone outside of the program for when they were not needed. And if the attachment was in a form of a man, they were allowed to have a child with their Widow before the involuntary hysterectomy that all the Widows get when they are about 21 years old. Though if the Widow did not have a man on the outside, they could ask a friends man or choose a man from the binder to get themselves pregnant.
Yelena got her child via Sirius Black as her attachment was in the form of Molly Weasley and her family. When James died that Halloween night, Natasha's attachment soon became Remus who was too scared to have a relationship with a woman who couldn't hold her own. Though in recent weeks since the order has started up again, he has been getting closer to Nymphradora Tonks, the daughter of Andromeda Tonks neé Black. Remus had told Natasha, in confidence, that he fears that Nymphradora may be his mate and fears what would happen to her job and reputation if they do end up getting together.
Both Sirius and Natasha calmed the werewolf down and told him that nothing would happen if they were to go out, especially if they stayed in the muggle world. Natasha even gave Remus some money for the date when he finally asked the metamorphmagus out. Since she didn't die by Gringotts standards and was still considered Lady Potter by them, Natasha was able to get a couple hundred pounds for her friend from the Potter family accounts. The ministry also knew that Lady Potter didn't die, only moved to America where her family was but were asked to not say anything to Dumbeldore about it.
Natasha remembered the day after Harry's seventh birthday when she and Harry were out doing field exercises when they met Clint Barton with a bow and arrow drawn to kill. Clint was sent to kill Natasha, but his bosses failed to tell him about the child that was with the Russian assassin. After a bit of an explanation, Clint made the executive decision to not kill Natasha and just bring her in and turn her. Clint and Natasha both knew that if she were to die, legally, Harry would have to go back to the Red Room because her "parents" and "sister" were still in there.
Though through Harry, Natasha knew Melina was working on a farm near the Russia/Finland border so she could do her science experiments. For the past 8 years, Harry still goes to the farm and visits with his "grandmother" whenever he gets a chance. Melina knew that her "daughter" was now on the other side, but that didn't stop her from loving the SHIELD agent like in the past. Her biological daughter had defected at 18 and became a SHIELD agent soon after.
From what she heard, her child was Fury's number 2, Maria Hill, and yes that was the name she was born with. Maria was able to understand Harry to a certain extent as she grew up in the Red Room, but got out before the involuntary hysterectomy was induced onto her. Maria was the one to take Harry to her mother most of the time as she wanted to visit the elder Widow as well. Maria treated Harry like a nephew that she always wanted but knew she couldn't have unless she married a man with siblings.
Fury knew this about Maria as he was the one to recruit her straight out of college and give her the interview that was required of her. Natasha was told as soon as she was given the okay to join as Maria knew the redhead saw her mother as her mother as well. Either from the Red Room or SHIELD, Harry grew up being loved and protected, and that was all Natasha could ask for. Harry loved running around and helping people, especially when they were in the gym and he got to hit people.
Right now it was about three weeks until Harry had to go back to Hogwarts for his fifth year and Natasha was walking around the New York alley. Each year Natasha sends her son to school with almost two thousand dollars worth of candy, snacks and other goodies that Harry stores in the kitchenette in his trunk. See when Natasha first went school shopping with Harry just before his first year, she got him a trunk with a two bedroom one bath apartment in it. It helped Harry for when he got extra things for school that would take up valuable space in a normal one.
Natasha used her magic and turned one of the rooms into basically the Hogwarts library with one of every book, even the muggle ones, and getting the books that are banned in Britain but not in America or a few other countries. Like the full version of Hogwarts A History that has everything about the founders, their secret rooms and all the secret passageways in and out of the school. The Red Room gave a copy to both Natasha and Yelena when they each started at Hogwarts. Natasha remembered running around the Hogwarts grounds with Yelena on Friday afternoons just before they would have to fire call their superiors for the verbal mission report but just after owling over the paper report that morning.
As she walked down the alley looking at store fronts, people would recognize Natasha and would say either "Hi Agent Romanoff" or "Hello Mrs. Potter". People knew Natasha as both names because SHIELD was basically the wizarding FBI and had a heavy presence in that world and was constantly recruiting them. SHIELD had buildings in each alley in both North and South America and Europe minus Britain and Ireland. The British ministry of magic didn't want a bunch of foreigners and their agency interfering with how they work and how they saw the world and technology.
The ministry of magic was one reason why the Red Room had sent Natasha, Yelena and many others too Hogwarts. Though the Red Room had a couple different reasons on sending agents there then SHIELD wanting to set up shop in Hogsmead and the two other alleys. Over the past 8 years as Natasha rose through the ranks, she couldn't help but wonder if she should have remarried to give Harry a father. But she was always reminded that even if she didn't marry again Harry still had those father figures that he needed.
Like Clint aka Hawkeye who had already been a father for about 18 months by the time Natasha and Harry came into his life. Laura Barton, Clint's wife of 3 years, loved Harry and treated him like another child as Laura always wanted a big family. When Harry wasn't visiting Melina or somewhere in the facility Natasha was in, he was visiting with Laura. Cooper was even a wizard and done his first sign of accidental magic right after Harry's first year when he gone for a visit.
Laura was very scared when the windows shattered out of nowhere when she told Cooper that he couldn't have a cookie before dinner. She was very lucky that Harry had his untraceable wand on hand and knew the fix it spell since he broke a lot of windows himself. Though Clint had a laugh when he was told that his son was a wizard like Harry and bet that Cooper did many smaller things via magic before the window incident and they went unnoticed.
Harry Potter-Romanoff wasn't like his peers at Hogwarts, he wasn't even like the teachers and staff that ran the school. He was the child of an assassin, the adopted child of a sniper, the nephew of a spy, the grandchild of two spies, the adopted grandchild of two assassin, the nephew of an assassin and the adopted grandchild of two more spies. Harry also spent seven years of his life being raised in and around the Russian agency the KGB along with being in and around the KGB training room aka the Red Room. Because of this, Harry was able to steal candy and snacks from the kitchen before his mother became a good guy.
Harry was trained to be a spy and an assassin with very good sniper skills from birth as he was always around spies, assassins and snipers and Harry was a very energetic child. Harry was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age and would only calm down if he had caffeine in his system or was trained to be like his mother. Since starting at Hogwarts, once a week Harry would receive two 12 packs of an energy drink he likes so his mother wouldn't get letters revolving around his behavior. At the end of each week, there would be three cans left but would be gone by the end of the month.
Harry ended up saving those cans so his best friend Hermione could stay awake to study for the finals they all needed to do. Hermione was very grateful for this as she knew there wasn't very much caffeine on the Hogwarts school grounds to begin with. And any caffeine the school bought would be saved for meal times and the elves, no matter how much begging the humans gave, guarded the black tea, coffee and any other caffeinated drink. Harry started to ask for 4 more cases of energy drinks, some black tea and coffee when people found out about his stash and kitchenette.
Though Harry did charge one Galleon per cup or can that the people who came up to him asking him for the stuff. This made getting the liquid caffeine easier as Harry and his mother didn't have to go into the Potter family vaults to get some money. Due to the fact that the triwizard tournament was last year, Hermione ended up needing something stronger that the energy drinks and coffee Harry gave out didn't. Harry knew what to give his friend, the strongest coffee he and mother could find and it was aptly named Devil mountain.
