Placing Icesheet down carefully on their bed, Snowheart grabbed the covers, dragging them over her before he curled around her, his tail intertwining with her's as he gently placed his head on her neck, covering her body with a wing in a protective manner, his eyes open as he vowed to never sleep until he can't stay awake anymore, for he would never let anything happen to his Icy ever again. Suddenly he felt Icesheet stir, moving her head slightly before letting a little whine out, raising his head, he looked down to see her eyes were open, looking up at him before she tilted her head upwards, tears running down her cheeks.
"Perhaps we should get you cleaned up first" Snowheart said, halfway off the bed when Icesheet grabbed his forearm while more tears ran down her face while her eyes darted around the softly lit room, sunlight bleeding through the windows. "Hey, hey, Icesheet, look at me, babe, look at me, it's okay, they are dead, they can't hurt you anymore" Snowheart cupped each side of her face with his forepaws, making her look at him before pulling her in for a hug, letting her sob loudly into the crook of his neck while he just remained still, being her emotional support as their tails stayed intertwined.
Not bothered by this at all, he gently scooped Icesheet up in his forearms, holding her against his chest as he began to slowly make his way towards their washing room on his hind paws, where the massive pool was located. Moving inside the room, he held the quivering dragoness close to him, his tail slipping out of the grasp of her tail before he then used his tail to press the animus enchanted button on the side of the pool, making the bubbles start as it also heated the water to a comfortable temperature.
Swishing his tail a few times around in the water, he gave a nod, feeling that it was warm enough before he slowly made his way in, letting the water flow around their bodies while he laid on his back, his face only above the water while Icesheet remained against his chest, still quivering. "Hey, Icy, I need to wash you" Snowheart whispered to her, gently cupping her left cheek, making her look at him once more to which he gave her his iconic grin, hoping it would cheer her up a bit.
Icesheet looked at her mate, cool tears still spilling from her eyes as she then groaned out, nuzzling back into his chest while Snowheart gave a sad smile, rubbing his forepaws across her back slowly and gently, aiming to comfort her as the water continued to bubble around them while Snowheart used his wings to encase Icesheet in them, giving her a safe space where she felt protected.
"I can't believe that those two did that, It didn't help that Prince Snowheart killed both of them, since now we can't question them for their crimes" Icewave said while she and her lover made their way towards the room Icestar and Frostspray lived in, opening the door rather roughly, Arctic was the first to enter, looking left then right as the old Icewing's eyes roamed over every little detail. Icewave wiggled past him, with her being rather small gave her the advantage to squeeze through places Arctic couldn't go at times. Upon entering the room, Icewave took in a deep breath before looking over her shoulder at Arctic. "search around the room for clues" Arctic gave a nod, padding past her as he gently pulled some draws open, running his claws through the contents while Icewave went into the small kitchen to look for clues.
Arctic then slammed the last draw shut, cracking the silver plating slightly before he turned and headed for the two beds, lifting Icestar's bed, before moving to Frost's bed, not noticing something under star's, yet he noticed a dug out tunnel under frost's. "Wave, hun, come here!" He called for Icewave, hearing her scurry over to him, finding it cute as she always trotted. "You find any-" She was cut off when her eyes on the tunnel, letting out a soft gasp before covering her mouth slightly with a forepaw. "Oh moons" She whispered, moving to the edge of the tunnel when Arctic spoke up. "It's too small for me to slip into, yet you are small enough... and cute enough to slither into" He smirked at her, giving her rear a gentle tail slap which earned him a small yelp, she then looked up at him, growling out playfully before she looked back at the tunnel, digging her claws into the mud particles that dotted the icy floor.
"Well, wish me luck!" She then proceeded to enter the tunnel, heaving herself down it while Arctic kept the bed raised, not even getting tired due to how strong he was. "See anything love!" He called out to her, with just the tip of her tail sticking out of the hole as she called back. "This leads to a room of sorts!" Her tail then disappeared as she slipped into the underground room, letting out an "oof" As she landed on the cold yet muddy ground, getting up, she shook mud off her paws and rear, letting out a scoff before focusing onto what appeared to be papers and a large board. "What the.." She looked all over the board, seeing that Icestar and Frostspray had been planning this whole attack for a long time now, seeing that they had even drawn some rather... detailed arts of Icesheet, with a few stains covering them, to which she knew what the stains were as her face distorted into a grim look.
"Fuck me, what sickos" She whispered/spat, shaking her head before gently picking up some of the papers, her eyes slowly widening as she noticed that Icestar and Frostspray had been talking with two Icewing Messengers who had been visiting the complex in an orderly time, taking messages between the complex and the Icewing palace. scrooping the papers up, she lifted them off the table, only to expose that last paper on the table which had missed being picked up, her gaze landing on it as her blood ran cold with dread.
"no, No" The paper was a message that had yet to be sent to the Palace, saying that Snowheart had been assassinated. "It just keeps getting better and better" She groaned out, picking up that paper as well before leaving the room, and crawling through the tunnel to reach her lover.
"You find anything?" Arctic questioned, nuzzling against her snout gently when she climbed out of the hole, he then lowered the bed gently once she was out of the way, turning to face her, yet she had her back to him, unmoving while her body shook slightly, her wings quivering while her tail remained as still as ice. "Darling?" Icewave slowly turned around to look at Arctic, her face, as well as her freckles, had become as white as snow, a sign that filled Arctic with dread, he then noticed one of the papers that she held out to him before he took it from her gently, turning it around as he roamed his eyes over it, his eyes suddenly became hostile as he growled out. "They were planning to assassinate Snowheart and take Icesheet all for themselves"
He clenched the paper tightly, closing his eyes as rage boiled inside of him, he felt his tail lash as his wings stretched out, when suddenly, all that seemed to stop and melt away when he felt two small paws on his chest, making him open his eyes to see Icewave staring up at him with a few tears in her eyes, her eyes were a very strong bright cyan colour as she leaned up and placed a kiss on his lips, which he felt his heart melt at. "It's okay love, all we have to do is make sure no harm comes to Snowheart or Icesheet... Think of us as Snowheart's temporary guardians in a way, since you and me are of a similar age, and are nearly three times the age of Snowheart" She rubbed her forepaws against Arctic's neck scales, purring while Arctic thought for a second. "Well... perhaps we could tell the Queen and King that we require more time to train Snowheart, which isn't a full lie as we can teach him plenty more moves" He shrugged as he then grinned at Icewave.
"After we tell Snowheart of what we found, would you perhaps want to t-" "Try again for a dragonet?" Icewave finished Arctic's sentence, making the old Icewing blush before nodding. "I'll tell you what, if you are a good enough boy, then yes, we can try again. and this time, you are going to mount me properly, understand" She jabbed him with a claw, looking at him with an authoritative gaze. "Yes ma'am" Arctic grinned as the two left the room and made their way slowly towards the royal bedroom.
Snowheart was still in the large sunken tub with Icesheet, rubbing his paws gently across her back and chest, being mindful of some of her areas as soap covered her body, she laid against him while enjoying the feeling of being pampered, loving the feeling of his claws digging into the spaces between each scale on her body. She closed her eyes, letting out a soft and slow pleasured sigh when Snowheart reached her wing joints, letting out a few gasps when he hit a few sensitive areas. "Snowheart... be gentle" She muttered out softly, her voice like silk while Snowheart continued to clean her body of any residue on her, albeit at a slow and gentle pace, allowing Icesheet to control the pace as she needed his full attention.
Suddenly there were four loud knocks, Icesheet's ears perking up before she cried out in fear, rushing to the far end of the sunken tub, shivering before Snowheart swam over to him, being slow and loving, he curled around her, whispering reassuring to her, aiming to keep her calm before he finished speaking, saying that he had to go and answer the door. "Please, don't leave me, please!" Icesheet begged him, gripping his left forearm to stop him from going. Snowheart gently smiled at her while intertwining his tail around hers.
"I need to go, I'll be back in a minute" He whispered to her, kissing her gently on the lips before slowly slipping away and leaving the tub, heading out of the room and closing the door slowly, heading to the entrance doors to answer them. The only sounds she now heard were the bubbling water and the faint muffled sounds of Snowheart talking to two others, she couldn't decipher who the other two were, but she hoped they were friends, that was until Snowheart opened the washroom door, making his way in, followed by Arctic and Icewave, both of them shocked to see how different Icesheet looked after the incident. "By the stars, this isn't the General I had met" Icewave spoke, slowly making her way towards the edge of the sunken pool, seeing the fear in Icesheet's eyes. "Hey, General Icesheet, it's me, Icewave, I... we came here to tell you and Snowheart something we found" Seeing that the fear refused to leave her eyes, she turned back to look at Snowheart, a look of grief-covered her face while Snowheart made his way past her. Though once he entered the water, Icesheet launched herself at him, making him fall backwards onto his back, luckily having spread his wings in advance. "There there, it's okay Icy, I got you" He purred in her right ear, running his forepaws across her back slowly, encasing her within his wings before focusing back on Arctic and Icewave.
"So, what did you two find?" He questioned, curiosity flickered in his eyes as Arctic made his way forward licking his dry lips before speaking.
"We... found that Icestar and Frostspray had been planning this for... awhile" He winced, since he had been on the receiving end of an angry Snowheart, yet didn't know how angry Snowheart could really get. Snowheart took in a deep breath, his eyes widening before turning into slits. "Those.. utterly disgusting dragons" He spat, his face contorting into one of anger while his tail lashed about under the water.
"Now Snowheart, we have already made preparations and we have gotten a group of our trusted friends to car-" "Well you said that last time!" Snowheart growled, looking at the two dragons with a burning hatred, though not really directed at them.
Arctic let out a sigh, running a forepaw across his snout, his tail swishing about while he flexed his wings slightly, he then let his paw down, looking at Snowheart, with Icesheet under his wings, he felt pity for the two for what they had gone through. "I truly am sorry that we didn't notice this sooner Prince Snowheart, I will work around the moons to make sure no more harm comes to you both" He gave a bow of his head to Snowheart before turning to leave, with Icewave following behind, yet before she left, she looked back at Snowheart. "If you need Anything, just come to us" She then gently closed the door and left the two alone.
"Do you think it will be best to send a message to the Queen?" Icewave asked her lover, looking up at him as they entered the cafeteria, most of the Icewings had been on their best behaviour since the incident, with the remainder having signed up for guard and patrol duties, to make sure no one sneaks in and cause the two royals anymore stress. "I'm not sure darling, but what I am sure of, is making sure I stand to protect the Prince" Arctic replied before they stopped in the centre of the cafeteria
"Alright, listen up!" Arctic looked around the busy cafe, watching as all the Icewings looked towards him, stopping what they were doing as laughing and talking came to a stop, all sounds besides the odd cough stopped as Arctic continued. "No one is allowed near the Prince's room, If you need to send them a message or grifts, then they WILL be checked before being allowed in!" He looked around, seeing each and every Icewing agree, nodding to each other before one spoke up.
"What about General Icesheet sir? Is she okay?" Arctic looked towards the smaller female Icewing, snorting slightly at her before responding. "That is none of your concern, General Icesheet will remain in the royal room until she is ready, and IF she comes out, then her guards will follow her, and NONE OF YOU ARE FORBIDDEN IN TALKING TO HER" He screeched the last part out, swinging his tail over the head of a smaller male Icewing who ducked. "AM I FUCKING CLEAR" His booming voice echoed throughout the giant complex, sending shivers down every Icewings back as they all gave quick nods. "Good, go back to your things, that's all" He and Icewave then retired to their bedroom, exhausted from today's events.
"So, do you want me to write a message out and have you check it dear?" Icewave asked, closing the door behind them as she looked over her shoulder at the large male Icewing. Arctic let out a sigh, knowing that they would need to tell Glacier of the incident at once. "Very well, let us start now" He turned to Icewave's writing room, following her inside as the two got to work at once.
