Chapter 41 Fossil Birth and Evolution
Hello everyone, this chapter will focus on the gang reviving their fossils and one of Ash's Pokemon evolves. I've been looking forward to writing this chapter for a long time, so I hope you all enjoy.
The chapter begins where the last one ended with the gang getting off the ship and walk on Cinnabar Island Leaf and Ash smile, they raise their fist in the air and yell.
"WE'VE MADE IT!" "PIKACHU!" Leaf, Ash and Pikachu give a loud cheer making the bystanders look at them as Misty speaks.
"Do you two have to be so loud?" Misty asks as Leaf turns to her.
"Yes, because we're finally going to revive our fossil's today!" Leaf responds with Ash nodding Brock then speaks.
"Do you happen to know where the lab is?" Brock asks as Leaf speaks.
"Yep, before leaving Mt. Moon Seymour wrote the location on a piece of paper, I'll take it out" Leaf responds she then opens her backpack reaching for the paper. As she reaches for the paper, she doesn't feel it, Leaf then frantically starts looking for the paper this goes on for 2 minutes as she yells.
"IT'S GONE!" Leaf says in shock as Ash speaks.
"Did you perhaps misplace it?" Ash asks as Leaf speaks.
"No, I'm sure I grabbed it before leaving…. Leaving?" Leaf says to herself as she remembers back on Mt. Moon Seymour did write down the location of his lab but since Leaf was too distracted by her Sail Fossil, she immediately exited out of the cave without grabbing the paper. Leaf gasps and gets a shocked look on her face she curls into a ball and speaks.
"I'm too fast for my own good" Leaf says in disappointment as Misty speaks.
"Maybe we can ask the locals" Misty suggests with the group nodding as they're about to ask someone a man with long brown hair, sunglasses and a Mustache appears he looks at Misty and speaks.
"Hello are you 3 looking for the research lab?" The old man asks as the group nod Ash then speaks.
"Yes, do you happen to know where it is?" Ash questions as the old man speaks.
"Why yes I do if you keep walking West you should see a white building to your right" The old man says as Leaf speaks.
"Thank you so much sir Come on Guys let's Go!" Leaf says as she happily sprints forward Ash and Misty speak.
"Leaf wait for us!" The two trainers yell running after the girl Brock thanks the man again then goes after his friends. The old man looks at the kids running away he then thinks.
"So, those are the kids of Red and Rose I feel they'll give me a good challenge" The old man says as he walks away.
3 minutes later the gang reached the building Leaf looks at it and speaks.
"We've made it!" Leaf cheers happily as she looks at Ash, Misty and Brock who are sitting down panting heavily Leaf then speaks.
"Are you guys, okay?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, we're just catching our breaths" Ash responds with Misty and Brock agreeing with him. A few seconds later Ash, Misty and Brock stop panting they stand up and look at the building Misty then speaks.
"So, this is the place where we can revive our fossil's?" Misty questions as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, are you guys ready?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"Yep, let's go!" Ash responds with the others nodding as they walk inside. When they're inside they're amazed by how big the place is, the receptionist looks at them and speaks.
"Why hello there how may I help you?" The woman asks as Brock immediately goes to her taking her hand gets on one knee and speaks.
"A way you can help me is freeing my pain by going on a date with me" Brock says happily Misty then grabs Brock's ear while Croagunk jabs Brock stunning him they then take him away as Misty speaks.
"The only one who needs to be helped is her" Misty says with Croagunk agreeing as they take Brock away Ash and Leaf chuckle the receptionist looks at them and speaks.
"I'll ask again how may I help you today?" The woman asks as Ash speaks.
"We're here to revive our Pokemon fossils" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, Mr. Seymour said that he'll help us if he's here" Leaf says as the receptionist speaks.
"Oh, I see now you must be Ash, Leaf, Misty and Brock Mr. Seymour told me if you appeared to bring you to the area where you can revive your fossil's come with me, I'll take you to him" The receptionist says with the group nodding as they begin to follow her. As they're walking, they reach a room where Seymour is in the receptionist opens the door and speaks.
"Sorry to interrupt you Mr. Seymour you have guest" The woman says Seymour looks in her direction he sees the group and smiles Seymour walks over to them and speaks.
"Hello Ash, Misty, Brock and Leaf it's great to see you again" Seymour says with the gang saying Hi back Leaf then speaks.
"Mr. Seymour it's finally time can we revive our fossils please, please, please, please." Leaf says getting very close to the man's face making him uncomfortable Seymour then speaks.
"Why yes we can but first can you back away please" Seymour says with Leaf nodding she immediately backs away as Seymour speaks.
"Now then come with me I'll take you to the spot where you can revive your Pokemon" Seymour says the gang nod and follow him. As they're walking, they pass by a big room that holds multiple fossil Pokemon making the group amazed by the variety. They then reach a room that has four machines and a few researchers inside Seymour looks at the group and speaks.
"This is it this is the place where we'll revive your fossil Pokemon will you please take them out" Seymour says the group nod taking out their fossil's Seymour looks at them and speaks.
"They all seem to be in very good condition you all did well in taking care of them" Seymour says with the 4 kids nodding. Seymour then hands the 4 fossils to his assistants he looks back at the kids and speaks.
"We'll now begin the process of revival my 4 assistants here will put your fossils in these machines which will revive your Pokemon" Seymour says with the group nodding they then see the 4 researchers put the fossils in the machines Seymour walks over to a lever and speaks.
"Now once I pull down this lever the revival process shall begin!" Seymour says as he pulls down the lever the machines glow red and begin to revive the groups fossil's Leaf looks at Seymour and speaks.
"How long until the revival's complete?" Leaf asks as Seymour speaks.
"Beforehand it used to take days for a fossil to revive but over time as our technology has evolved, we're now able to revive Pokemon from their fossils in 5 hours" Seymour responds making the group smile as Ash speaks.
"So, in 5 hours our fossils will be revived" Ash asks as Seymour nods making the group excited as Misty speaks.
"What should we do for 5 hours while waiting for our fossils to be revived?" Misty questions as Brock speaks.
"I guess we could head over to the Cinnabar gym so Ash and Leaf can have their battle" Brock suggests with Ash and Leaf nodding Seymour then speaks.
"Um I'm sorry to tell you this but the gym leader is currently away and won't be back until tomorrow" Seymour says making Ash and Leaf disappointed as Ash speaks.
"Man, and I was looking forward to it too" Ash says with Pikachu and Leaf agreeing as Seymour speaks.
"You know in the meantime South of here there's a fossil digging site while waiting for your fossil's to be revived you can go there" Seymour suggests as Ash speaks.
"A fossil digging site? Could be fun we might even be able to find new fossils" Ash says with the group nodding Leaf then speaks.
"Yeah, let's go!" Leaf says happily Seymour then speaks.
"I should let you know that both the trainers and Pokemon get to dig together so make sure you've Pokemon that are experienced at digging underground" Seymour says with the group nodding they then leave the building and head towards the Pokemon Center to switch out their Pokemon.
A few minutes later they've made it to the center Misty, Brock are on phones talking to their families Leaf is on another phone talking to Daisy and right now Ash is talking to Prof. Oak he explains the situation as the old man speaks.
"I see a fossil digging site you know just before you called me Gary called saying he wanted to switch out his Pokemon for the digging site too" The old man says shocking Ash as he speaks.
"So, Gary's still here? That settles it I'll beat him by getting the best fossil" Ash says with fire in his eyes Prof. Oak then speaks.
"So, Ash which Pokemon do you want me to get ready for you?" The old man asks as Ash speaks.
"Let's see I'll take Charmeleon, Krokorok, Growlithe, Gible and Dunsparce." Ash responds with Oak nodding as he speaks.
"I see they'll be happy and who will you be sending over?" Oak asks as Ash speaks.
"I'm sending over Gyarados, Muk, Rowlet, Grookey and Fuecoco" Ash responds with the old man nodding as he speaks.
"Okay then I'll go get Charmeleon, Krokorok, Growlithe, Gible and Dunsparce ready" Prof. Oak says with Ash nodding. A few seconds later they both put the Pokeball's on the transfer machine the Pokeball's glow and disappear going to their respective locations. Once it's over both Ash and Oak grab the Pokeball's Prof. Oak looks at Ash and speaks.
"I've received your Pokeball's safe and sound" The old man says with Ash saying the same thing then Muk appears from its Pokeball and begins to happily hug the old man. Prof. Oak calls Daisy for help as the phone call ends. Ash and Pikachu chuckle hoping Prof. Oak is doing okay Ash then walks over to Misty, Brock and Leaf then speaks.
"Okay is everyone ready?" Ash asks with the 3 trainers nodding Ash smiles and speaks.
"Okay let's go!" Ash cheers as does everyone else they head out of the center heading towards the digging site unbeknownst to them Jessie, James and Meowth (in disguise) were watching them Jessie then speaks.
"So, he finally showed up took him long enough" Jessie says in annoyance as James speaks.
"Now we can continue our mission" James says with Jessie nodding as Meowth speaks.
"Hmmm you know that digging site sounds interesting maybe we should dig up our own fossils revive them and have an army of prehistoric Pokemon on our side" Meowth suggests with Jessie and James agreeing they head out of the center too going towards the digging site.
10 minutes later the gang have reached their destination they look around and see many trainers with Shovels and Pickaxes Leaf then speaks.
"There's a lot of people here" Leaf says with the group nodding they then hear a familiar voice.
"So, you've finally arrived" The voice echoes the group turn around and see Gary carrying a shovel and a pickaxe he looks at the group and speaks.
"Sup" Gary says as Leaf immediately runs over wrapping Gary in a hug she then speaks.
"Gary it's been so long!" Leaf says happily as Gary speaks.
"Yeah, I'm happy to see you too Leaf can you please let go you're squeezing me" Gary says with Leaf nodding she let's go letting Gary catch his breath. Ash, Misty and Brock walk over to them Misty and Brock say hello with Gary saying hello back he then looks at Ash smirks and speaks.
"So Ashy boy are you here looking to get a fossil too" Gary asks having a smug look on his face as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, and I'm going to find the best one!" Ash states with Pikachu agreeing Gary smiles and speaks.
"We'll see about that anyway I'm going to walk away now I don't want your bad luck to rub off on me" Gary says annoying Ash as he walks away Ash then speaks.
"That jerk I'll show him" Ash says with steam coming out of his head Brock then speaks.
"Come on Ash let's go to our positions it seems like it's about to start" Brock says with Ash nodding the gang and everyone else go to their spots as a man speaks.
"Hello everyone welcome to the fossil digging site there're many fossils from multiple regions in this site I wish you all good luck the time limit is 5 hours. I hope you all find the fossil's you're looking for you may now begin!" The man says as everyone starts bringing out their Pokemon and begin to dig Gary grabs his six Pokeball's and speaks.
"Heh this should be easy Blastoise, Arcanine, Houndoom, Steelix, Rhyperior and Drakloak come out!" Gary says bringing out all 6 of his Pokemon they all give a mighty roar as Leaf speaks.
"That Rhyperior, Houndoom and Steelix they were Damian's Pokemon they look like they're doing well" Leaf says with the group nodding Ash looks at Gary's Drakloak he takes out his Pokedex and scans it.
"Drakloak the Caretaker Pokemon a Dragon/Ghost type. Drakloak can fly faster than 120 miles per hour. It cares for and battles alongside a Dreepy. Drakloak cannot relax without Dreepy on its head, but other Pokémon can substitute it at times." The Pokedex says Gary looks at his Pokemon and gives his commands.
"Arcanine, Houndoom use your noses to sniff out any fossils then dig, Steelix, Rhyperior use Dig and look for any fossils underground, Blastoise, Drakloak we'll be digging here and dig up any fossil's" Gary says his Pokemon nod and get to work. Arcanine and Houndoom begin to sniff the ground, Steelix along with Rhyperior dive underground searching for fossil's, Gary, Blastoise and Drakloak begin to dig too Misty then speaks.
"Seems like they're working well together" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"If they keep this up, they'll be finding fossil's soon" Brock says as Ash speaks.
"Well, he's not going to beat me everyone come out!" Ash says throwing 5 Pokeball's up in the air they open as Charmeleon, Krokorok, Growlithe, Gible and Dunsparce appear. Some of the people in the area and even Gary are interested in Ash's Hisuian Growlithe Ash ignores them as he gives his Pokemon commands.
"Okay guys I'm breaking you up into teams. Team 1 is Charmeleon and Dunsparce you'll dig in the left side, Team 2 will be Gible, Krokorok and Growlithe you'll dig in the right side. Me and Pikachu will be digging here so let's get out there and find some fossils!" Ash cheers along with his Pokemon they begin to quickly dig underground while Ash and Pikachu grab their shovel's and begin to dig. Gary smirks not wanting to lose he and his Pokemon continue to dig Leaf then speaks.
"Alright my turn come out guys!" Leaf says throwing all six of her Pokeball's in the air who appear are Venusaur, Dugtrio, Yamper, Galarian Zigzagoon, Sandygast and Jigglypuff Leaf then gives them orders.
"Okay, Yamper and Zigzagoon I want you to use your noses to sniff out an area that has fossils in them, Dugtrio, Sandygast I want you to dive underground to search for any fossils. When Yamper and Zigzagoon find an area that has fossils me, Venusaur and Jigglypuff will start digging" Leaf says her Pokemon nod Dugtrio along with Sandygast quickly dig underground while the 2 canines begin to sniff the ground until they find an area, they think has fossils Leaf gets excited and begins to dig Brock then speaks.
"As a former Rock type gym leader, I can't afford to be left behind everyone come out!" Brock says bringing out Onix, Alolan Golem, Sandslash, Klawf, Vulpix and Lycanroc Brock looks at his Pokemon and speaks.
"Okay Onix, Sandslash use Dig, Klawf, Golem, you'll help me dig in this area, Vulpix and Lycanroc use your noses to find the fossils then dig them up" Brock says with his Pokemon nodding Onix along with Sandslash dive underground looking for fossils, Klawf, Golem and Brock begin to dig, Vulpix and Lycanroc begin to sniff the ground looking for any fossils. The last one to start digging is Misty she looks at Sobble and Quaxly then speaks.
"Okay let's dig too!" Misty says with the two-shoulder mons agreeing Misty grabs 4 Pokeball's and throws them in the air bringing out her Pokemon. The Pokemon who appear are Vaporeon, Golisopod, Psyduck and Starmie. Sobble and Quaxly jump off Misty's shoulders and go to stand next to their teammates Misty looks at them and speaks.
"Okay we may be at a disadvantage, but we can still do our best Vaporeon use dig, Starmie use psychic to lift up the sand, Sobble, Quaxly, Psyduck and Golisopod we'll be digging here now let's find some fossils!" Misty says with her Pokemon nodding Vaporeon quickly begins to dig underground and Starmie uses psychic to move the sand in a different spot making it easier for Misty and its teammates to dig. Misty along with Sobble, Quaxly, Psyduck and Golisopod begin to dig using shovels (Golisopod's using its claws) the announcer then speaks.
"Seems like everyone has begun digging who will be the first one to find a fossil?!" The announcer says when he does Gary's Arcanine and Houndoom found something they bring it over to Gary the boy looks at them and speaks.
"You two already found a fossil as expected of my Pokemon" Gary says happily while petting the two dogs he takes the fossil and speaks.
"It is I Gary Oak the son of champion Blue and the grandson of the famous Professor Oak has found the first Pokemon fossil of the day!" Gary says proudly while holding the fossil up in the air everyone looks in Gary's direction his cheerleaders (who appeared out of nowhere surprising everyone) cheer for him as Ash speaks.
"What there's no way he found a fossil already" Ash says with Leaf agreeing the announcer walks over to Gary and speaks.
"Do you mind if I see it?" The man asks with Gary nodding he hands him the fossil the man begins to examine it. When the examination is over Gary looks at him and speaks.
"So, what sort of rare and powerful Pokemon did I find?" Gary asks smiling everyone looks at the man waiting for his response as he speaks.
"Oh, you found something rare alright you found… prehistoric Pokemon feces" The man responds when he does everyone comedically fall down in surprise. Gary and his Pokemon are embarrassed while Ash, Leaf, Misty and Brock along with their Pokemon chuckle.
2 hours later everyone is still digging no one's been able to find another fossil since the one Gary found Ash then speaks.
"Man, we've been digging for 2 hours and haven't found anything yet how are you doing Pikachu?" Ash asks as the yellow mouse gives a thumbs up but pants with Ash nodding as they continue to dig Charmeleon's Team along with Krokorok's team come back to the surface they're both holding something and bring it to Ash. Ash gets a smile on his face he looks at his Pokemon and speaks.
"You guys found two fossils great job!" Ash says with his Pokemon nodding the announcer walks over to Ash and speaks.
"May I take a look?" The man asks with Ash nodding his Pokemon hand him the fossils after the old man examines them, he looks at Ash smiles and speaks.
"Well would you look at that you found two fossils that are normally found in the Galar region one is called Fossilized Fish while the other is called Fossilized Drake" The man says making Ash smile as he speaks.
"Alright we've found the first Pokemon fossils of the day!" Ash cheers along with his Pokemon the other trainers look at Ash they then get serious looks on their faces and continue to dig. 1 hour and 30 minutes later more and more trainers have been able to find fossils. Gary's Steelix and Rhyperior along with Arcanine and Houndoom found two fossils too they hand them to Gary as he speaks.
"Great these two should be fossils" Gary says the announcer comes over he examines the two fossils looks at Gary and speaks.
"Yes, this time you've actually found two fossils also from the Galar region one is called Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Drake" The man says making Gary smile he pets his Pokemon then looks over at Ash. The two boys smile as they and their Pokemon continue to dig again Leaf then speaks.
"Man, Ash and Gary have already found fossils I want to find one two" Leaf says as she keeps digging, she feels her shovel hit something. Leaf gets excited she tells her Venusaur to lift it up using Vine Whip the plant dinosaur nods it uses Vine Whip and lifts up two fossils Leaf smiles and speaks.
"Alright we found fossils too!" Leaf cheers along with her Pokemon the announcer comes over examines the two fossils and tells Leaf that she found the Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Dino making the girl happy as she and her Pokemon continue to dig. 1 hour later Brock along with Misty were also able to find fossils. Brock also found a Fossilized Bird and Fossilized Dino while Misty found a Fossilized Fish and Fossilized Dino. As everyone continues to dig, they start to get tired as the announcer speaks.
"We will now be taking a 10-minute break please come to the break area we have refreshments that'll help you recover" The man says everyone nods they all go to the break area and begin to relax Ash, Leaf along with their Pokemon lay down as Ash speaks.
"Man, I'm tired" Ash says with Leaf agreeing Misty and Brock walk over to them and hand them a bottle of water. The two kids thank them they drink the water and instantly feel refreshed Ash then speaks.
"Alright I'm ready to Go!" Ash says with his Pokemon agreeing as Leaf speaks.
"Let's go guys!" Leaf says while raising her fist in the air with her Pokemon doing the same Misty and Brock look at them as Misty speaks.
"They're always full of energy" Misty says with Brock agreeing. When the 10-minute break is over everyone returns to their dig sites as they continue to dig Ash along with Leaf notice something in the distance Ash then speaks.
"What's that?" Ash questions as Leaf speaks.
"I'm not sure you want to check it out?" Leaf asks Ash nods they take Pikachu, Charmeleon and Venusaur with them and tell their other Pokemon to continue digging. When they make it to the area Ash and Leaf get shocked looks on their faces seeing two rocket grunts. Ash along with Pikachu have even more shocked expressions as they see Jessie, James and Meowth Ash then speaks.
"I wasn't expecting to see them again" Ash says with Pikachu nodding Leaf looks at him and speaks.
"You know them?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"Yeah, you remember back on the SS. Anne when Misty, Brock and I were talking about our encounters with other rocket grunts named Jessie, James and Meowth before right well that's them right there" Ash says Leaf nods as she speaks.
"What do you think they're doing here?" Leaf questions as Ash speaks.
"I don't know but it's probably something not good let's listen" Ash says with Leaf nodding as they begin to listen closely Jessie then speaks.
"Aaah! I can't believe we spent 4 hours and 30 minutes looking for a fossil and didn't find any" Jessie says in frustration as James speaks.
"I agree that was exhausting but with this we'll be able to find fossils quicker" James says as Meowth speaks.
"Yep, lighting this rope will lead to the dynamite and blow up the area that should be able to let us find more fossils" Meowth says with Jessie and James nodding they begin to laugh evilly as Leaf speaks.
"How terrible" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"We need to stop them come on" Ash says with Leaf nodding they along with their Pokemon jump forward making themselves known shocking the trio as Ash speaks.
"Team Rocket, we know what you're doing and we're here to stop you!" Ash says with Leaf, Pikachu, Charmeleon and Venusaur agreeing James then speaks.
"This is bad we're not supposed to let the twerp see us" James says as Jessie speaks.
"Well, it doesn't matter now besides I've had enough hiding" Jessie responds with Meowth agreeing the trio stand up and begin to do their motto.
"To Protect the world from devastation."
"To unite all people in every nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love."
"To extend our reach to the stars above."
"Jessie"
"James"
"Team Rocket blast off to the speed of light surrender now or prepare to fight!"
"Meowth that's right."
"Wynaut"
The trio say they then look at each other giving each other praises meanwhile Ash, Leaf, Pikachu, Charmeleon and Venusaur are dumbfounded Leaf then speaks.
"What did I just watch?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"Oh yeah that's right I forgot that these three in particular do that" Ash says with Pikachu nodding Jessie then speaks.
"Hah our motto is so powerful it left them speechless" Jessie says with James and Meowth nodding as Leaf speaks.
"If you ask me, I found the whole thing stupid" Leaf says with Ash nodding Jessie then speaks.
"Well, nobody asked you now face punishment Go Arbox and Lickitung!" Jessie says bringing out her two Pokemon James then speaks.
"Go Weezing and Victreebel!" James says bringing out his two Pokemon when Victreebel appears it begins to affectionately bite James causing James to scream Leaf looks at Ash and speaks.
"Are these guys stupid?" Leaf asks as Ash nods James finally makes it out of Victreebel's mouth as Jessie speaks.
"Now you'll feel our power Arbox Sludge Bomb!" Jessie calls the cobra Pokemon quickly fires the ball of sludge as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur use Vine Whip!" Leaf calls the plant dinosaur easily knocks it away with its vines James then speaks.
"Weezing use Sludge Bomb and Victreebel Razor Leaf!" James calls the two-mons fire their moves as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu Thunder and Charmeleon Flamethrower!" Ash calls Pikachu and Charmeleon fire their moves easily destroying the sludge bomb and razor leaf they hit their targets as Jessie calls for her next command.
"Lickitung use Lick!" Jessie calls Lickitung shoots out its tongue it heads for Venusaur as Leaf makes a command.
"Venusaur use Vine Whip to grab its tongue then slam it on the ground!" Leaf calls Venusaur wraps up Lickitung's tongue with its vines it then lifts up the Pokemon then slams it hard on the battlefield easily knocking it out. Jessie gets mad she returns Lickitung and continues to battle along with James meanwhile with Meowth he has a match and speaks.
"If you want something done right you got to do it yourself" Meowth says as he lights the match and puts it on the fuse as it begins to travel down towards the dynamite. Ash, Leaf along with their Pokemon are shocked they stop their battle with team rocket and begin chasing after the fuse with Team Rocket behind them. As they're running Misty, Brock, Gary and their Pokemon see them running trying to stop the fuse. Misty, Brock and Gary take quick action telling everyone to leave the area, as Ash, Leaf, their Pokemon are still chasing the fuse they trip with team rocket falling on top of them. As the fuse is getting closer to the dynamite Pikachu manages to break free it then sees the fuse about to hit the dynamite seeing no other choice Pikachu sparks up its cheeks and yells.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu yells and fires a Thunderbolt towards the dynamite when it does it hits it Pikachu realizes its mistake as it gives a "Cha". The dynamite then explodes with Ash, Leaf, their Pokemon along with Team Rocket fall into the hole Misty, Brock, Gary and their Pokemon get shocked looks on their faces and yell.
"ASH!, LEAF!" They all yell in worry and quickly head over when they make it the entrance is blocked by rocks they begin to call out for their friends.
2 minutes later Ash wakes up he groans from the pain he looks around his surroundings and sees that he's in a cave he then sees Pikachu and Charmeleon next to him. Ash gets a worried expression on his face he begins to shake them when he does both mons wake up, they look at their trainer as Ash speaks.
"Are you two, okay?" Ash asks with both mons nodding making Ash smile he then hears a voice.
"ASH!" The voice echoes Ash turns around and sees Leaf riding on her Venusaur, Ash smiles as he along with Pikachu and Charmeleon run towards the girl and plant dinosaur when they get closer Leaf gets off Venusaur and hugs Ash.
"I'm so happy you're okay Ash" Leaf says with Ash saying the same thing and returns the hug. When they break away from the hug Leaf then speaks.
"By the way where are we?" Leaf questions as Ash speaks.
"From the looks of it we seem to be in the hole where the dynamite went off" Ash says with Leaf nodding she then looks at the ceiling and speaks.
"Looks like our exit is closed too" Leaf says with Ash nodding they then start to hear Misty's, Brock's, Gary's and their Pokemon's voices Ash and Leaf then yell.
"GUYS!" The two kids yell up above everyone can hear their voices Misty then speaks.
"Are you two alright?!" Misty asks as Ash speaks.
"We are! Get us out of here!" Ash responds as Misty speaks.
"Hold on tight we'll get you out soon!" Misty says she then looks at Brock and Gary as Gary speaks.
"Okay let's move this rubble then when it's clear we'll throw rope down to bring them back to the surface" Gary says with everyone nodding as they all begin to move the rubble out of the way back in the hole Leaf then speaks.
"By the way where's Team Rocket?" Leaf asks as Ash speaks.
"I'm not sure I didn't see them when I woke up" Ash responds with Leaf nodding that's when they hear screaming, they see Jessie, James, Meowth and Wynaut run towards them when they make it, they stop and pant as Ash speaks.
"There you are because of you we're stuck down here!" Ash says anger with Leaf nodding Jessie then speaks.
"We're the least of your worry's right now we have to get out of here they're coming!" Jessie says making Ash and Leaf confused as Leaf speaks.
"Who's coming?" Leaf asks before James can answer her a Hydro Pump heads towards them Ash then speaks.
"Pikachu Thunder!" Ash calls Pikachu quickly fires the electric bolt it collides with the Hydro Pump creating an explosion. When the smoke clears everyone can see 4 Pokemon the rocket trio are scared while Ash and Leaf take out their Pokedex's to scan the Pokemon.
"Omanyte, Omastar, Kabuto and Kabutops all Water/Rock Type Pokemon. It is believed these Pokémon became extinct tens of thousands of years ago. The detail of their behavior is shrouded in mystery. Though some have speculated that they may still exist." The Pokedex says Ash and Leaf get shocked looks on their faces as Ash speaks.
"So, these are the Pokemon that scared you?" Ash asks with the trio nodding as James speaks.
"Yes, they defeated our Arbox, Weezing and Victreebell easily after that we've been running away from them" James responds with Ash nodding he looks at the 4 mons and speaks.
"All four of them look strong" Ash says Pikachu and Charmeleon get into battle stances as Leaf speaks.
"Hey Ash let me and Venusaur take care of this" Leaf says as she and the plant dinosaur step forward Ash looks at her and speaks.
"Are you sure Leaf?" Ash asks Leaf nods and speaks.
"Yep, I'm sure my Venusaur has the type advantage against all 4 of them and besides as a future Pokemon Professor I really want to catch them and study them" Leaf responds with Ash nodding he smiles and speaks.
"Okay Leaf I'm counting on you" Ash says Leaf nods she looks at the 4 mons and sees the Kabuto, Omanyte and Omastar fire a big Hydro Pump Leaf quickly gives her command.
"Venusaur use Power Whip!" Leaf calls the plant dinosaur roars it summons the green whip and easily knocks the Hydro Pump away. When it does Kabutops appears in front of Venusaur and uses Slash hitting Venusaur in the face making it skid back. Leaf is impressed with its power she then sees Kabutops charge forward again Leaf then speaks.
"Venusaur Leaf Storm!" Leaf calls Venusaur roars it fires the storm of Leaf's towards Kabutops. The shellfish Pokemon tries to fight through, but the leaf storm is too strong. Kabutops is then flown back towards Omanyte, Omastar and Kabuto the 4-mons crash into the wall and cry out in pain from the Leaf Storm. They then fall on the ground showing no signs of standing back up Leaf smiles she grabs 4 Pokeball's and speaks.
"Go! Pokeball's!" Leaf says throwing the balls they soar through the air until they hit the 4 mons. They're sucked inside the Pokeball's begin to shake, when they do everyone is nervously watching as when the four ball's shake 3 times, they all ding confirming the capture. Venusaur uses Vine whip bringing the 4 balls over to her trainer Leaf has all 4 Pokeball's in her hands she gets a big smile on her face and cheers.
"I just caught 4 prehistoric Pokemon!" Leaf gives a loud cheer her Pokeball's then glow and vanish heading towards Professor Oak's lab. Ash is impressed that Leaf was able to defeat and catch 4 prehistoric Pokemon he smiles walks over to her and speaks.
"Congrats Leaf!" Ash says as Leaf looks at him and speaks.
"Thanks, I can't wait to use them in battles and study their behavior" Leaf responds with Ash nodding meanwhile Jessie, James and Meowth are shocked that Leaf's Venusaur was able to take down those 4 Pokemon while they couldn't do anything they get sad looks on their faces as Wynaut looks at them Leaf then speaks.
"Now we just need to wait until the others open the entrance and then we'll be out of here" Leaf says happily with Ash nodding but then Pikachu, Charmeleon and Venusaur sense something they quickly get into battle stances as Ash and Leaf look at them Ash then speaks.
"Hey what's wrong?" Ash asks but the 3 mons don't respond they all have serious looks on their faces and looking forward as Meowth speaks.
"Something's coming" Meowth says as everyone looks at him Jessie looks at Wynaut and sees it shaking in fear she picks up the mon and holds in it a warm embrace allowing for Wynaut to calm down Leaf then speaks.
"What's coming? Is it another fossil Pokemon?" Leaf asks as Meowth speaks.
"Yes, but it's something much scarier" Meowth responds they then hear a loud ear-piercing roar.
"AROOOOOOOOOO!" The voice echoes making everyone cover their ears back on the surface Brock, Misty, Gary along with Ash and Leaf's Pokemon hear the voice too Misty then speaks.
"What was that?!" Misty asks as Brock speaks.
"If it's the Pokemon I'm thinking of then Ash and Leaf are in serious trouble" Brock says as Gary speaks.
"Come on we need to hurry!" Gary says with everyone nodding as they begin to try and remove the rubble faster. Back down below the roaring stops as the Pokemon makes itself known everyone gets a shocked/scared look on their faces as they speak.
"AN AERODACTYL!" Ash, Leaf, Jessie and James exclaim as the Fossil Pokemon gives a loud roar Leaf then speaks.
"How can a Aerodactyl be alive in this time period?!" Leaf questions as Ash speaks.
"I'm not sure but unlike my dad's it doesn't look friendly" Ash says as Meowth speaks.
"Aerodactyl's angry because we've woken it from its long slumber it's going to make us pay for awakening it" Meowth says as Aerodactyl gives another roar it fires a Hyper Beam towards them Ash and Leaf give their commands.
"Pikachu Thunder and Charmeleon Flamethrower!" "Venusaur Solarbeam!" Ash and Leaf call their mons quickly fire their moves colliding with the orange blast. The Thunder, Flamethrower and Solarbeam try to push the Hyper Beam back but are unable to as the blast easily destroys the 3 moves blowing everyone away. Aerodactyl gives another roar Leaf along with Venusaur stand back up as Leaf speaks.
"Venusaur use Sludge Bomb!" Leaf calls Venusaur quickly fires multiple bombs of sludge towards Aerodactyl. The fossil mon isn't fazed as it charges forward using Giga Impact easily destroying the sludge bombs. Leaf's eyes grow wide in fear as Venusaur quickly pushes Leaf out of the way as the Giga Impact hits Venusaur making it fly back hitting a wall Leaf looks at it and speaks.
"VENUSAUR!" Leaf calls in worry as the plant dinosaur struggles to stand back up but pants heavily Aerodactyl roars it charges at Venusaur going to bite it but before it does Ash speaks.
"Pikachu Thunder and Charmeleon Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls Pikachu and Charmeleon fire their moves they combine becoming one big blast and hit Aerodactyl making it crash into a wall. Leaf then runs over to Venusaur and speaks.
"Venusaur are you okay?!" Leaf asks with the plant dinosaur nodding Ash along with Pikachu and Charmeleon appear standing in front of her Ash then speaks.
"We'll handle this Leaf" Ash says with Leaf nodding as she begins to heal Venusaur, Aerodactyl appears flying in the air it shows no signs of pain. Aerodactyl then looks at the ones who hit it, it sees Pikachu, Charmeleon and Ash staring at it. Aerodactyl looks into their eyes and sees that they're challenging it Aerodactyl roars as it flies towards Ash and his Pokemon as Ash speaks.
"Pikachu use Thunder times 2!" Ash calls Pikachu roars it fires 2 thunders towards Aerodactyl the fossil Pokemon dodges as Ash calls for his next command.
"Charmeleon use Dragon Pulse!" Ash calls Charmeleon fires the Dragon beam and hits Aerodactyl the fossil mon groans in pain it then gives a mighty roar and fires another Hyper Beam Ash then speaks.
"Pikachu Thunder times 3 and Charmeleon use Overheat!" Ash calls his Pokemon roar Pikachu fires 3 Thunders while Charmeleon fires a big Overheat. The 3 Thunders and Overheat clash with the Hyper Beam they begin to push the blast back but Aerodactyl roars increasing the power of the Hyper Beam as it easily destroys both moves the beam explodes blowing Ash, Charmeleon and Pikachu away making them hit a wall. Aerodactyl gives a mighty roar it then flies forward and grabs Ash with its foot and flies in the air everyone has shocked looks on their faces as Leaf speaks.
"ASH!" Leaf along with Pikachu, Charmeleon and Venusaur yell in concern in that moment the rubble that was blocking the entrance is gone Aerodactyl looks up and flies towards the exit Leaf then speaks.
"Everyone quick get on Venusaur!" Leaf says as she, Pikachu, Charmeleon and Team Rocket get on the plant dinosaur Leaf then speaks.
"Venusaur Vine Whip!" Leaf calls Venusaur roars it fires the vine and latches onto Aerodactyl's leg. The fossil mon isn't concerned as it continues to fly in the air lifting up the plant dinosaur while Leaf, Pikachu, Charmeleon and Team Rocket hang on back on the surface Brock looks at the hole he gets a shocked look on his face and yells.
"Everyone get out of the way!" Brock yells everyone quickly gets away from the hole as they see Aerodactyl carrying Ash and Leaf's Venusaur out of the hole. When they make it out of the hole Venusaur let's go of Aerodactyl's leg landing back on the surface Misty, Brock, Gary along with Ash's and Leaf's Pokemon run over to them as Gary speaks.
"Leaf are you okay?" Gary asks as Leaf nods Misty then speaks.
"Wait where's Ash?" Misty questions as Leaf speaks.
"Aerodactyl has him" Leaf responds as they look at the fossil mon flying through the air, they see Ash and get shocked looks on their faces. As Aerodactyl flies around it roars and starts to fire multiple Hyper Beams Brock then yells.
"EVERYONE LOOK OUT!" Brock yells as everyone quickly dodges but Aerodactyl keeps firing Ash's Pokemon get angry they then charge forward Leaf then speaks.
"Wait Come Back!" Leaf yells as a Hyper Beam is about to hit her Gary quickly tackles her to the ground dodging the move Misty and Brock run over to them as Misty speaks.
"Are you guys, okay?!" Misty asks as Gary speaks.
"Yeah, we're fine are you okay Leaf?" Gary asks when he looks at her, he sees that she's blushing causing Gary to blush too they both then stand up as Brock speaks.
"How are we going to save Ash?" Brock asks as Gary speaks.
"I'm not sure maybe putting it to sleep could work" Gary suggests that's when Leaf gets an idea.
"That's it Gary you're a genius!" Leaf says as everyone looks at her confused Gary then speaks.
"What do you mean Leaf?" Gary asks as Leaf speaks.
"My Jigglypuff has a powerful Sing attack if we get it to sing to Aerodactyl we should be able to put it asleep" Leaf says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"But how are we going to make Jigglypuff's voice reach Aerodactyl?" Brock questions as Misty speaks.
"The Stage we can use the stage the announcer was using it has loudspeakers that should allow for Jigglypuff's voice to reach Aerodactyl" Misty says with the group nodding Leaf then speaks.
"Okay guys we've our plan let's go!" Leaf says as they nod, they quickly head towards the stage as Misty looks back and thinks to herself.
"Don't worry Ash, we'll save you" Misty says to herself as she quickly goes to catch up to the others. Meanwhile, as Aerodactyl continues to fly out of the corner of its eye it sees a Dragon Pulse, 2 Flamethrower's, a Stone Edge, Ancient Power and Thunder head towards it. Aerodactyl easily dodges the 6 attacks, it then looks down below and so does Ash he gets a smile on his face and speaks.
"GUYS!" Ash says happily as his 6 Pokemon stare at Aerodactyl the fossil mon isn't intimidated as it fires a Stone Edge towards them. Krokorok, Dunsparce and Growlithe roar and fire their own Stone Edge they collide with Aerodactyl's creating an explosion. Out of the smoke comes Aerodactyl it flies towards Ash's Pokemon using Giga Impact. Pikachu, Charmeleon and Gible jump forward using Wild Charge, Dragon Claw and Dragon Rush respectively they collide with Aerodactyl and try to push it back, but the fossil mon easily overpowers them knocking them back on the ground.
Pikachu, Charmeleon and Gible groan in pain as Aerodactyl goes to bite them Growlithe, Dunsparce and Krokorok appear. They all fire one big, combined Stone Edge hitting Aerodactyl in the face making it skid back. The fossil mon groans from the pain as out of nowhere Pikachu, Charmeleon and Gible hit Aerodactyl in the face with Wild Charge, Metal Claw and Dragon Rush making the fossil mon skid back more. When Aerodactyl looks around it can see that all 6 of Ash's Pokemon have it surrounded Pikachu then speaks.
"PIKA!" Pikachu yells telling its teammates to fire their moves, Charmeleon and Gible fire a Dragon Pulse, Growlithe fires a Fire Blast, Krokorok and Dunsparce fire a combined Stone Edge and Pikachu fires a Thunder. The moves head towards Aerodactyl they're about to hit it the fossil mon isn't fazed as it gives a mighty roar.
"AEROOOOOOOOO!" Aerodactyl roars and summons a large Hurricane easily destroying all of Ash's Pokemon's attacks they are then sucked into the Hurricane and spin they then fall back on the ground knocked out. Ash is sad that all of his Pokemon were defeated while Aerodactyl roars in victory it then flies back in the air Misty looks over and speaks.
"Ash's Pokemon lost we've to help them" Misty says as Brock speaks.
"I'm worried for them too, but we have to complete this plan" Brock says with Misty nodding they then set up the final loudspeaker Jigglypuff's on a stand in the middle of the stage Leaf looks at it and speaks.
"This is it Jigglypuff you can do it" Leaf says in confidence with Jigglypuff nodding Leaf then speaks.
"Okay Jigglypuff use Sing!" Leaf says as the balloon Pokemon grabs the mic and begins to sing.
"Jig gal puff Jigglypuff jiggly jig jig ga ly" Jigglypuff starts with the help of the loudspeakers its voice affects the whole area everyone begins to yawn as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, that's it Jigglypuff!" Leaf cheers but then gives a yawn with everyone else yawning too. High in the air both Ash and Aerodactyl start to yawn as they're about to go asleep Aerodactyl glances over at the stage it sees Jigglypuff singing and knows it's the cause of it feeling sleepy. Aerodactyl covers its ears, gives a mighty roar and fires a Hyper Beam at the stage Leaf notices and yells.
"Jigglypuff look out!" Leaf yells as she quickly jumps forward grabbing Jigglypuff before the beam could hit it. The Hyper Beam then hits the stage instantly destroying it blowing Leaf, Brock, Misty, Gary and their Pokemon away they all hit a wall. A few seconds later they all wake up groaning in pain Gary then speaks.
"That Aerodactyl's smart" Gary says with the others nodding Brock then speaks.
"HERE IT COMES!" Brock yells as they see the fossil mon fire a Hyper Beam towards them, they all run away as the beam lands near them creating an explosion blowing them all away Ash then speaks.
"YOU GUYS!" Ash yells in worry when the smoke clears, he sees his friends they're all injured groaning in pain Misty wakes up and speaks.
"I have to save Ash" Misty says to herself she wants to get up but is too tired she looks to her left and sees a Pokemon egg next to her she quickly puts the egg in her backpack for protection. Meanwhile Aerodactyl has landed on a cliff it looks at all the damage it has caused and gives a roar in victory as it's roaring it and Ash hear a voice.
"CHAR!" Charmeleon's voice echoes Aerodactyl and Ash look at it they see Charmeleon standing panting heavily it looks at Aerodactyl and speaks.
"CHAR, MEL, CHAR, CHAR!" Charmeleon tells the fossil mon to let go of its trainer and face it in combat Aerodactyl looks at the fire lizard and begins to laugh telling Charmeleon that it's weak making Charmeleon angry before it can speak Ash yells.
"SHUT UP!" Ash yells catching everyone's attention Aerodactyl looks at Ash as the boy continues to speak.
"Charmeleon isn't weak it's strong and it'll beat you I know it can SO DON'T CALL HIM WEAK!" Ash yells from the top of his lungs Aerodactyl looks at Ash the look Aerodactyl sees isn't fear but bravery. Aerodactyl grows a little bit of respect for Ash standing up to him but then Aerodactyl's predator instincts begin to kick in. The fossil mon begins to drool while looking at Ash Aerodactyl then looks at Charmeleon the look it's giving the fire lizard is a hungry one scaring Charmeleon Aerodactyl then roars as it goes to eat Ash shocking everyone as they yell.
"ASH!" PIKA PI!" Misty, Brock, Leaf, Gary, their Pokemon along with Ash's Pokemon call out his name and use whatever energy they have to try and run towards Ash going to save him. Meanwhile Charmeleon's frozen it wants to go save its trainer but is too tired and weak Charmeleon begins to remember its time with Damian, the battle with the TR Boss, the wild Dragonite and now recently this battle with Aerodactyl. Charmeleon remembers losing to them easily it then remembers Ritche's Charizard Zippo and remembers how strong it was Charmeleon wants to get stronger too it doesn't want to be weak anymore and most importantly Charmeleon doesn't want to watch his trainer die like what happened to Damian Charmeleon doesn't want Ash to have that same fate Charmeleon will make sure that doesn't happen and will save its trainer Charmeleon then gives a mighty roar.
"CHARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! MELLLLLLLLLL!" Charmeleon roars from the top of its lungs using all the power it has to move but instead of moving forward Charmeleon glows a bright white blinding everyone. Aerodactyl stops its pursuit of biting Ash as it looks at the light Ash looks at Charmeleon and speaks.
"Charmeleon's evolving" Ash says as he and everyone continues to watch. Charmeleon gets bigger, it's tail becomes longer, grows and extra horn on the back of its head, grows two wings, its skin color becomes orange. When the evolution stops what was once a Charmeleon is now a Charizard who gives a mighty roar and fires a gigantic Flamethrower up high in the air where everyone on the island can see it. Paul, who's training on a different spot on the island, looks at it. Meanwhile on the outskirts of Viridian City we see Ritchie with Sparky as they're walking one of Ritchie's Pokeball's wriggle it opens as Zippo appears Ritchie and Sparky look at it as Ritchie speaks.
"Is something wrong Zippo?" Ritchie asks but Zippo doesn't respond it looks in the direction of Cinnabar Island and has a smile on his face. In the Galar region we see Red with his Charizard they look at the sky as Red speaks.
"Do you feel that Charizard looks like Ash's Charmeleon finally evolved into a Charizard" Red says with his Charizard nodding. Back on Cinnabar Island Charizard stops roaring it looks at Aerodactyl having a serious look on his face the fossil Pokemon looks at Charizard and feels fear. Aerodactyl roars it quickly flies high in the sky still carrying Ash going to get away from Charizard. Charizard watches Aerodactyl fly away, it then scoffs the fire lizard flaps its wings and quickly flies high in the air going at an insane speed. Charizard instantly reaches Aerodactyl and hits it in the face with Metal Claw the fossil mon groans in pain as it let's go of Ash and is then sent crashing on the ground. Ash then begins to fall but then Charizard flies under Ash letting him land on its back Ash looks at Charizard with the fire lizard nodding. Charizard then flies back to where everyone else is it lets Ash off the boy looks at the fire lizard at speaks.
"You did it! You finally achieved your goal Congratulations Charizard!" Ash says hugging the fire lizard with Charizard returning the hug, Charizard then affectionately fires a flamethrower in Ash's face making the boy cough smoke. Then Ash's other Pokemon along with Misty, Brock, Leaf, Gary and their Pokemon run up to them Leaf instantly wraps Ash in a hug and speaks.
"Ash you're okay!" Leaf says happily with Ash nodding Misty then walks over to Ash and speaks.
"You always manage to get yourself into trouble and make us worry!" Misty says in annoyance while Ash says sorry Misty then smiles, she hugs Ash and speaks.
"I'm happy you're okay" Misty says with Ash nodding as he returns the hug they embrace for a little bit until they let go Brock then walks over and speaks.
"I'm happy you're safe too Ash" Brock says with Ash nodding then Pikachu, Krokorok, Gible, Growlithe and Dunsparce immediately jump on Ash happily tackling him to the ground making the boy laugh as he speaks.
"Hahahahahaha I'm happy to see you guys too!" Ash says happily they then get off of Ash and go interact with Charizard telling it congratulations with the fire lizard nodding Gary then speaks.
"Well Ash you continue to always make things interesting, and you also have yourself some interesting Pokemon too" Gary says while looking at Ash's Pokemon Ash nods as Misty speaks.
"So do you think the battle with Aerodactyl is over?" Misty questions as Ash speaks.
"I wish it was, but I know that wasn't enough to take it down" Ash responds with Charizard nodding the group look at where Aerodactyl landed they can see that it has its eyes closed. A few seconds later the fossil mon opens its eyes it flies in the air giving a mighty roar it looks at the group as Gary speaks.
"Looks like you were right Ash it wasn't enough" Gary says as Leaf speaks.
"But now that you're safe we can fight" Leaf says with Brock, Misty and their Pokemon nodding as they get into battle stances Charizard gets it front of them and gives them a look telling them to stand down Ash then speaks.
"I know it sounds selfish, but can you guys let Charizard be the one to battle Aerodactyl? It's the perfect opponent to test out its new power" Ash asks the group look at each other they smile and nod Ash smiles at them he looks forward and speaks.
"Okay Charizard Let's Go!" Ash says with the fire lizard roaring it flies in the air and stares at Aerodactyl with the fossil mon staring back Aerodactyl roars at Charizard trying to intimidate it, but Charizard isn't intimidated as it roars back Ash then speaks.
"Okay Charizard Flamethrower!" Ash calls Charizard roars and fires a big stream of fire towards Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl moves to the side dodging the stream of fire it roars and fires a Stone Edge towards Charizard as Ash speaks.
"Charizard use Metal Claw!" Ash calls Charizard covers its claws in steel energy it flies forward and easily destroys the Stone Edge shocking the fossil mon Charizard is now right in front of Aerodactyl as Ash makes a command.
"Now Thunder Punch!" Ash calls Charizard quickly electrifies its fist it goes to punch Aerodactyl but the fossil mon dodges Aerodactyl then flies towards Charizard it covers its teeth in electricity going to bite the fire lizard isn't worried it opens its mouth as Ash speaks.
"Charizard Flamethrower!" Ash calls Charizard fires a big Flamethrower consuming the fossil mon Aerodactyl cries out in pain. When the flamethrower goes away Aerodactyl then bursts into flames as it's now burned seeing as this is their chance Ash calls for his final command.
"CHARIZARD SEISMIC TOSS!" Ash yells as Charizard roars it quickly flies forward grabbing Aerodactyl it takes the fossil mon high up in the air and begins to spin looking like it's circling the globe Ash then speaks.
"NOW LET IT GO!" Ash yells as Charizard gives a mighty roar and throws Aerodactyl back down to the ground as hard as it can Aerodactyl crashes back down to the ground creating an explosion when the smoke clears everyone can see that Aerodactyl is down for the count having no intention of standing back up Ash smiles and cheers.
"ALRIGHT!" Ash along with his friend's cheer Charizard then lands on the ground and fires a flamethrower in the sky for victory Ash along with his Pokemon run towards the fire lizard giving it a hug Ash then speaks.
"You did it Charizard!" Ash says along with his Pokemon with Charizard nodding Brock and Misty run over to join too Leaf's about to run over but before she does, she looks at Gary and speaks.
"Is something wrong Gary?" Leaf asks as Gary speaks.
"Nah I'm fine I'm just looking forward to battling Ash in the league" Gary responds with Leaf having the same thought they then run over to congratulate Ash and Charizard on their victory. When they do Aerodactyl opens its eyes and stands back up shocking everyone as Misty, Brock, Leaf and Gary get ready to battle Ash stops them he looks at Aerodactyl and speaks.
"So, have you calmed down?" Ash asks with the fossil mon nodding Ash smiles as he continues to speak.
"That's great to hear you know there's this place called the fossil research lab where you can rest living a peaceful life and be with other fossil Pokemon do you want to come with us we'll take you there" Ash says smiling looking at the mon Aerodactyl thinks about it for a little bit before it gives its answer a random Hydro Pump hits it in the face knocking it out instantly. The group turn around and see Paul with his Torterra and a Seismitoad next to him when Ash, Misty and Brock look at it they feel as though they've seen it before Paul grabs a Pokeball and speaks.
"Go Pokeball" Paul says he throws the ball it hits Aerodactyl sucking the fossil mon inside the ball lands on the ground and doesn't shake once as it's an instant capture Paul along with his Pokemon walk towards the ball Paul picks it up scans it with his Pokedex and puts it in his pocket. Before Paul leaves Ash speaks.
"Paul wait!" Ash says as Paul along with his Pokemon look at him Ash then speaks.
"That Seismitoad tell me is that the one that belonged to Hunter D?" Ash asks as Paul speaks.
"I've no idea who that is I captured it before I went into Rock Tunnel" Paul responds with Ash nodding Ash then speaks.
"Hey Paul look my Charmeleon evolved into Charizard pretty cool right?" Ash says as Charizard looks at Paul and his Pokemon Paul then speaks.
"I'll admit it looks strong" Paul responds as Ash speaks.
"How about a quick battle" Ash says with Charizard agreeing Paul smirks and speaks.
"Please why would I waste my time when I already know the outcome" Paul responds making both Ash and Charizard annoyed while Paul's Seismitoad smirks before Paul walks away Ash speaks.
"Paul please promise me you'll take care of Aerodactyl" Ash says Paul stops and speaks.
"The way I treat my Pokemon is none of your business Seismitoad, Torterra we're leaving" Paul says both of his Pokemon nod Torterra looks at Charizard one more time before walking away while Seismitoad looks at Charizard smirks then turns its head walking away when Paul disappears Gary walks up to Ash and speaks.
"Who was that? he's like me but worse" Gary asks as Ash speaks.
"That's Paul he's another rival of mine also competing in the Kanto League and is a really strong trainer" Ash responds with Gary nodding as he speaks.
"Yeah, by just looking at him I can tell just how strong he is if I battle him, I'll need to be careful" Gary says with Ash nodding Leaf then looks at her Pokegear she gets a shocked look on her face and speaks.
"Oh my gosh guys look at the time our fossils will be finished being fully revived soon!" Leaf says shocking Ash, Misty and Brock they all quickly return their Pokemon as Ash speaks.
"If we run, we should make it in time" Ash says with Brock, Misty and Leaf nodding Gary then speaks.
"Wait you guys are leaving already?" Gary asks as Leaf speaks.
"Yep, it's almost time for our fossils to be fully revived we need to hurry and get over there see ya Gary!" Leaf says as she, Ash, Brock and Misty begin to sprint towards the fossil lab leaving Gary and his Pokemon alone he smiles and speaks.
"Heh they always have a lot of energy" Gary says with his Pokemon nodding in agreement.
10 minutes later the gang made it back to the research lab they quickly run to the room where Seymour is and open the door. When they do, they're all panting heavily Seymour along with his scientist look at them as Leaf speaks.
"Are we late?" Leaf asks while she, Ash, Misty and Brock are panting Seymour smiles and speaks.
"Nope you're all right on time your fossils have finished being revived would you like to see them?" Seymour asks with the group nodding. Seymour and the group walk over to the first machine Seymour looks at Leaf and speaks.
"Leaf you had the Sail Fossil please take a look at your new Pokemon" Seymour says as when the machine opens what appears is a four-legged blue Pokemon it gives a yawn and looks at the group Seymour then speaks.
"As you can see this little one is Amaura she just awakened from her long slumber" Seymour says as the trainers along with Pikachu, Sobble and Quaxly have shocked looks on their faces Leaf looks at Seymour and speaks.
"Can I pet it?" Leaf asks as Seymour speaks.
"Why yes of course it is your Pokemon after all" Seymour responds with Leaf nodding she walks over to the mon Amaura looks at the girl as Leaf speaks.
"Hi Amaura, my name is Leaf from today onwards I'm going to be your trainer I hope you're okay with that" Leaf says the Tundra Pokemon looks into Leaf's eyes she can see that Leaf is a kind person Amaura smiles and speaks.
"Ama" The mon says as it walks over to Leaf and begins to rub its face on Leaf making the girl laugh.
"Hahahaha stop Amaura that tickles and is a little cold" Leaf says with the Tundra mon nodding it backs away a little as Leaf takes out a Pokeball she points it forward and speaks.
"See this Amaura this is called a Pokeball when you're sucked inside, you'll become an official member of my team also you won't stay in the Pokeball all of the time I'll make sure to let you out and I have many Pokemon in Prof. Oak's lab who will be your friends so what do you say do you want to come with me?" Leaf asks Amaura looks at Leaf and nods Leaf smiles she taps the ball on Amaura's head sucking it inside the ball doesn't shake once as it's an instant catch Leaf has a smile on her face and speaks.
"I Just Caught an Amaura!" Leaf says happily with everyone congratulating her the ball then disappears going to Oak's lab Seymour then looks at Brock and speaks.
"Okay Brock now it's your turn your Armor fossil has been fully revived please take a look" Seymour says as when the machine opens everyone sees a small four-legged Pokemon with a shield covering its face the Pokemon looks around as Seymour speaks.
"This one is called Shieldon it's said that they've very strong defenses" Seymour says as everyone looks at it all having smiles on their faces Shieldon looks at everyone it gets a scared look on its face as it begins to cry.
"Shield!" The Pokemon says while crying forcing everyone to cover their ears Brock then walks over to Shieldon and begins to gently pet his head. The shield Pokemon stops crying it looks at Brock as the teen speaks.
"Hey Shieldon, it's okay no one here is going to hurt you" Brock says Shieldon nods it then looks into Brock's eyes and can see that he's very trusting Sheldon then becomes more comfortable as Brock continues to pet it Leaf then speaks.
"Whoa that's amazing Brock" Leaf says as Ash speaks.
"That's a future Pokemon Breeder right there" Ash says with the group nodding they then see Brock take out a Pokeball Shieldon looks at it as Brock speaks.
"Hey Shieldon if you come with me, I'll make sure to take very good care of you" Brock says the Shield mon nods Brock smiles he taps the ball on Shieldon's head sucking the mon inside the ball doesn't shake once as it's an instant catch Brock smiles and speaks.
"I caught a Shieldon!" Brock cheers with everyone congratulating him the Pokeball then disappears going to the Pewter gym Seymour then looks at Misty and speaks.
"It's your turn Misty your Cover fossil has fully restored please take a look" Seymour says as when the machine opens everyone sees a small blue sea turtle Pokemon appear it looks at everyone and smiles Ash and Leaf take out their Pokedex's to scan it.
"Tirtouga, the Prototurtle Pokémon a Water/Rock type. Tirtouga can dive underwater to half-mile depths and can also attack onshore." The Pokedex says as Seymour speaks.
"You may walk over to it Misty" Seymour says with Misty nodding she goes over to the turtle and speaks.
"Hello Tirtouga, my name is Misty, and these are Sobble and Quaxly my dream is to become a water Pokemon Master one day and I hope you can come along to help me with my dream" Misty says as Sobble and Quaxly wave to it Tirtouga looks at Misty and her Pokemon it can feel that traveling with her will be fun the turtle then speaks.
"Tirt" Tirtouga says telling Misty it would like to come along Misty smiles she takes out a Pokeball and speaks.
"Let's work together from now on Tirtouga" Misty says with the turtle nodding Misty then taps the ball on Tirtouga's head sucking it inside and like Brock and Leaf's captures it's an instant catch Misty smiles and speaks.
"I just caught a Tirtouga!" "Sob!" "Quax!" Misty, Sobble and Quaxly cheer everyone congratulates her Seymour then looks at Ash and speaks.
"And now it's finally your turn Ash your Jaw fossil has successfully restored take a look" Seymour says as when the machine opens out comes a small T-rex like Pokemon it looks around confused as Seymour speaks.
"This one is Tyrunt the Royal Heir Pokemon their Jaws are so strong that they can even crush a car" Seymour says with the group nodding Ash walks over to Tyrunt he bends down getting on eye level and speaks.
"Hello Tyrunt, my name is Ash Ketchum, and this is my partner Pikachu my dream is to become a Pokemon Master one day it's going to be a long journey and I hope you can come along with me. There will be many battles and challenges up ahead, but it'll also be fun. I also have many Pokemon who would love to be friends with you so what do you say Tyrunt you want to come along with us?" Ash asks holding his hand out Tyrunt looks into Ash and Pikachu's eyes it can feel that they're both strong and the one called Ash can make it stronger Tyrunt then speaks.
"Ty" Tyrunt says happily as it then begins to affectionately nibble on Ash's head causing the boy to laugh as Ash speaks.
"Hahahaha I just know Totodile, Gible, Fuecoco and Krokorok are going to like you and are you okay if I tap this Pokeball on you?" Ash asks with Tyrunt nodding as it continues to nibble on Ash's head Ash smiles, he taps the ball on Tyrunt sucking the mon inside. The ball doesn't shake once as it's an instant catch Ash gets a big smile on his face and speaks.
"I Just Caught a Tyrunt!" "Pi Pikachu!" Ash and Pikachu cheer doing their pose everyone congratulates them as Tyrunt's Pokeball disappears going to Prof. Oak's lab Seymour looks at the kids and speaks.
"And that's everything tell me are you all satisfied" Seymour asks with the 4 kids nodding telling him thank you Seymour nods as he then speaks.
"Oh, before I forget were you able to find anymore fossils at the dig site?" Seymour asks as the group nod; they pull out their fossils showing them to Seymour the man gets a curious look on his face as he looks at the fossils Leaf then speaks.
"Will you be able to revive these fossils too?" Leaf asks as Seymour speaks.
"Unfortunately, I'm not able to" Seymour responds shocking the group as Seymour continues to speak.
"You see a couple weeks ago a boy named Ritchie came here he had the same fossils that Ash has but I told him the same thing, from what I can tell it seems like the fossils need to be combined together and we don't have that technology right now" Seymour says with the group nodding as Ash speaks.
"So, is there really no way to revive them?" Ash asks as Seymour speaks.
"I believe there's a way there is someone in the Galar region that has been researching these fossils and is currently in the process of building something to revive them." Seymour responds as Leaf speaks.
"Really?!" Leaf says happily as Seymour speaks.
"Yes, but if it's the person I'm thinking of then they're really busy so for now you'll need to keep your fossils and I'll contact you when the technology is ready" Seymour responds with the group nodding Ash then speaks.
"Does Ritchie know this too?" Ash asks with Seymour nodding. After that the gang head back to the Pokemon Center to relax and heal their Pokemon. The 4 trainers are currently sitting at a table Leaf then speaks.
"Man, I'm exhausted a lot happened today" Leaf says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"Yeah, we went to the Seafoam islands, battled Team Rocket, saved an Articuno, dug up fossils, battled an Aerodactyl and captured new Pokemon all of that in one day" Brock says with the group nodding as Misty speaks.
"Speaking of Team Rocket when Ash and Leaf appeared out of the hole I saw Jessie, James and Meowth holding onto Leaf's Venusaur" Misty says as Ash speaks.
"You know now that I think about it when we got out of the hole, I didn't see them anywhere where'd they go?" Ash questions but no one knows as they were too busy dealing with Aerodactyl Misty then speaks.
"During the battle with Aerodactyl I found something" Misty says as she reaches into her backpack, she pulls out a Pokemon egg shocking everyone as Ash, Leaf and Brock speak.
"You found a Pokemon egg?!" The 3 trainers exclaim as Misty nods and speaks.
"When Aerodactyl's Hyper Beam blew us away I hit a wall and to my left I saw a Pokemon egg next to me without thinking I quickly put it in my backpack to keep it safe" Misty says with the group nodding as Brock speaks.
"That's weird normally you wouldn't randomly find a Pokemon egg without the parents being close by" Brock says as Misty nods and speaks.
"I agree I found it weird too but for some reason I get the feeling that this egg was waiting for me" Misty says with the group nodding Ash then speaks.
"Well anyway it seems like you'll get a new Pokemon Misty" Ash says as Leaf speaks.
"Yeah, I can't wait to see what kind of Pokemon it is" Leaf says with Misty nodding Brock then speaks.
"With that out of the way are you two going to challenge the gym tomorrow?" Brock asks looking at Ash and Leaf as Ash speaks.
"As much as I want to, I think I should take a break for a couple of days to relax and train my Pokemon" Ash responds as Leaf speaks.
"I agree with Ash" Leaf says with Brock nodding as he speaks.
"Sounds good to me after today we all need a break so for the next 2 days let's just relax" Brock says with the group nodding they then hear a ding letting them know their Pokemon are healed they walk over to Nurse Joy grab their Pokemon and then head to their rooms to go asleep.
We now move away from the gang as in the night sky we see Jessie, James and Meowth in their hot air balloon flying from Cinnabar Island going to Team Rocket headquarters James then speaks.
"That was an exhausting day" James says with Jessie and Meowth nodding as Jessie speaks.
"It was a good thing that Aerodactyl was going on a rampage it allowed us to escape" Jessie says as Meowth speaks.
"Yep, and after we escaped, we received orders from Matori telling us and many other rockets in the Kanto region to stop their missions and come back to base" Meowth says as James speaks.
"Why do you think we're being called back to base?" James questions as Jessie speaks.
"Obviously it's so the boss can praise us on our mission for keeping tabs on the Twerp" Jessie responds as James speaks.
"I doubt that" James responds as Jessie looks at him Meowth then speaks.
"We'll anyway the boss calling us back means that he needs our help looks like we're in the big leagues now" Meowth says with Jessie and James nodding they then look forward as they see the rocket base come into view, they also see many balloons, cars and helicopters appear too as the chapter ends.

A lot happened this chapter the gang got their fossils restored, found new fossils, battled an Aerodactyl, Paul catching said Aerodactyl, Misty found a Pokemon egg, captured new Pokemon and Ash's Charmeleon finally evolved into Charizard. How did you guys feel about how I handled Charmeleon evolving into Charizard? Out of all the evolutions in this arc that was the one I was really looking forward to writing that one the most. What Pokemon do you guys think is in Misty's Pokemon egg? Though I'm sure you all already know. It now seems like Jessie, James and Meowth aren't going to be following Ash and the gang anymore now that they've been called back to base it seems as though Giovanni will make his move soon.
