(AN) Hello and welcome to my next Straw Dogs fanfic: Revenge; Hope you all enjoy.

This story was born out of a joke I made about how since every company is obsessed with making sequels to everything, they might as well make a sequel to Straw Dogs, so then I thought: what if they did do a sequel that was like one of those straight-to video/DVD sequels from the 90s and 2000s, and so I came up with a pretty decent idea.

However, while this story is mostly realistic to how a sequel to the 1971 movie could be, it is also a sequel to my previous story Aftermath, so I'd recommend reading that first. This story also has a few nice nods to the 2011 remake and even one or two nods to the original novel.

There's also a tiny bit of inspiration from I Spit on Your Grave: DaJaVu, but it's only one thing.

Disclaimer: I don't own Straw Dogs; all character and locations are owned by their respective owners.

Straw Dogs: Revenge

Prologue

It was a pleasant evening in the village of Wakely. The village had changed quite a bit over its long history, but the one thing that still remained true was the sense of community: everybody knew each other; most of them were kind and looked out for one another and it was for the most part, a nice, quiet and peaceful village. The most shocking thing that had ever happened was a nasty incident 52 years ago, in which a group of drunk villagers had tried murdering a young couple and an autistic man they were trying to protect.

Sadly, there were still men in Wakely just like those drunks from long ago. Bobby Hedden, the son of one of those villagers had become a drunk and bitter man, due to his family being torn apart. Bobby was currently being chucked out of the Wakely Arms for getting too rowdy.

"And stay out!" barked a middle-aged woman with long, dirty-blonde hair, "You're barred Hedden!"

"Fine! Your pub sucks anyway!" snapped Bobby in a slurred voice as he staggered to his feet.

Bobby then slowly marched away from the pub; muttering angrily to himself.

The elderly man entered his house and slumped on to the couch, he then looked up and saw his sister Emma looking at him in concern. Emma was younger than Bobby and had long, blonde hair. Emma had initially moved away from the village with her mum and other brother Bertie, but when she was old enough, Emma had returned to look after her older brother, as she felt that he needed her.

"Did you get thrown out again?" sighed Emma.

"Yes!" growled Bobby dangerously, "Stupid bitch banned me!"

"Bobby, you need to stop this," said the elderly woman firmly, "You've been bottling up this anger for years and it's turned you into somebody I don't even recognise."

"And who's fault do you think that is!" spat Bobby angrily before getting up, walking over to the mantlepiece and picking up an old family photo, "That dumbass American wouldn't let my dad and the others murder that freak! That British whore of a wife wanted to, but then she just sided with her husband, and thanks to those two, our family was torn apart!"

"Mr and Mrs Sumner were just trying to protect an innocent-

"HE WASN'T INNOCENT!" shouted Bobby before throwing the photo at the wall, causing the frame to crack, "I don't care what the police have said: that was no accident; Niles murdered J-Janice and Mr Sumner murdered Mr Cawsey and Uncle Charlie, then Mrs Sumner murdered Mr Riddaway! It's like I said all them years ago: if those two ever step foot into this village again; I'll make them pay!"

Emma watched on in dismay as her brother sobbed loudly.

(AN) And that was the short prologue to Revenge; hope you all enjoyed.

As you can see, Bobby is full of anger and will likely stop at nothing to get revenge.

In the next chapter, we'll get introduced to some new characters and also catch up with David and Amy.

Until then, this is TimeLordMaster108 signing out.
