Alma was very confused at what the young man had just said and was about to say something when she was interrupted by her daughter's screeching voice.
"Mirabel!!"Juileta screams
Miguel saw that the woman was not happy with her daughter and winced sorry for her she reminded him of his own mother like that when she got mad at him for doing something he wasn't supposed to do.
"How many times have I told you ask before running off like that we worried sick and taking Camilo and Antonio too you know better young lady". Juileta sighed
"Tia it's okay we're okay we just wanted to go exploring ". Camilo joined
"You niños know how dangerous it is you're lucky ". Pepa came from behind her mother
Miguel Meanwhile couldn't stop looking at the cloud over her head, he thought that was very strange he wondered if she was sick.
"Well that's weird, I hope she's okay does she know she has a cloud over her head".
"Tia we were gonna come back anyway we were headed back but then we heard screams and growling, we ran into.." Mirabel pointed to Miguel
Miguel was caught out of his daze looking around when Mirabel pointed to him.
"Oh… Hola ". Miguel waved shyly
Arf* Dante barks a Hello and wags his tail.
Juileta looked with sympathy at the poor boy and so did Pepa, Alma still looking unsure but she had a small smile.
"He would have been eaten if we hadn't had been there to save him". Antonio pipes
"He's right, I was just trying to find my way back home when I accidentally ended up here while taking a detour ". He explains
*Arf* Dante agreed
"So much for that detour Miguel ". He mumbled
"You don't sound like your from here… Miguel is it?" Alma asked
"Si, Señora ". Miguel nodded
"I'm from Mexico and I was trying to get home for my little sister's birthday but now I have no idea where I am". He sighed
"Oh you poor dear". Juileta sighed
Miguel winced reminded of his grazed and gashed leg blood dripping down his leg as Mirabel helped him up.
"Mamá we brought him here he can't exactly go home to his family and a damaged leg". She exclaimed
"Oh heavens no Come I have something that will heal that right up". Juileta sighed smiling gently
So with that the group and Miguel made it into the kitchen as Camilo grabbed a chair for him to sit down on and Mirabel sighed and gently walked him over to the seat where he slowly sat down.
Dante was by his side and whimpering at the sight of his sore and bloody leg.
"I'm okay boy". He whispered to the alerbrije
Pepa sighed as she looked at the sight and pulled her son to the side.
"Antonio honey why don't you go and help feed the Perro he looks like he hasn't eaten in days". She said
Antonio nodded and came and went up to the dog.
"Come on Dante lets get you something to eat you need it". Antonio smiled
Dante licked his lips at the sound of food but he didn't exactly feel like leaving his mejor Amigo behind.
Miguel smiled and nodded for him to leave reassuring he will be okay.
Dante reluctantly left with Antonio to go get something some food.
"Does he have anything specific he likes to eat Miguel?" Antonio asked
"Not really Although he does like chicken ". He replied
"Okay I'll see what I've got". Antonio answers
Miguel smiled as the boy and dog walked off glad he was getting fed and resting from the long trip.
Juileta began looking for the Arepas, while Camilo went and grabbed some water for him Mirabel smiled giving him a reassuring friendly smile.
"Long trip huh". She spoke
"Si, I was taking a detour because I thought it what could cut me some time and that way I could get home faster so I could make it home for my sisters birthday."
Mirabel smiled and sighed he must be very close to his sister just like she was with Antonio he must be really happy.
"Well That didn't work didn't it I mean you almost got eaten ". Camilo joined back with the water
Miguel kindly took the water and a sip, Mirabel rolled her eyes at his cousins antics while he looked at her with one of his smart ass looks.
"I guess so". He sighed
"You'll have to excuse him he isn't usually like this ". Mirabel replies
"No , it's okay I've had worse". Miguel smiled
Mirabel was still very confused at what he meant by that but she shook off her thoughts.
"What does he mean by that had he been in this situation before ?" She questioned
Juileta finally handed The arepa to Miguel and he smiled in Thanks as he took he bit into it his leg had completely healed blood was now no longer there and Juileta smiled.
"Wow that's amazing I didn't know food could do that". He gasped
Juileta sighed as she smiled at Miguel.
"It's my gift dear". Juileta chuckled
"Gift?" He coaxed
"My food heals any injuries and sickness that pepole have". She exclaimed
"That's incredible ". He sighed
Juileta smiled and sighed as she went off to talk to her Mamá and Pepa, Mirabel kept him could company while they talked.
"That's amazing what your Mamá can do!" He replies
"I know pretty crazy right a moving house and a healing Mamá ". She chuckled
"Tell me about you must be so lucky ". Miguel smiled
"Yeah… lucky". She sighed
Miguel knew he stuck a cord there and sighed.
"Lo siento I didn't mean that". He apologises
"No that's okay". Mirabel smiled
They sighed and sat in silence as Miguel ate taking in surroundings taking in all in and Mirabel chuckled at the way he looked while doing so this was going to be a long afternoon.
