CHAPTER 2:

As Tori continued to walk up the stairs, she noticed a specific redhead come out from an empty classroom. "Cat," she said, relieved. Cat looked at Tori immediately, let out a squeal and tried to make a run for it.

But Tori got to her in time, catching her by the arm and dragging her gently to a nearby closet. "Cat, what's wrong?" she asked flustered.

"What do you mean?" Cat asked, her hands twirling her red locks of hair. "Nothing's wrong."

"You've been avoiding the gang all day," Tori insisted, placing a hand on Cat's shoulder.

"No, no I haven't," Cat spoke in a small voice.

"Cat?" Tori said looking into her friend's eyes.

"Fine," Cat groaned. "My Skystore addiction is back! My parents canceled all my cards again. And it's worse than the time I got blacklisted from buying Bibble!"

"Awh, well Cat, I'm sure you can find something else to preoccupy you!" Tori said with a smile.

"No," Cat said in a throaty voice, angry and sad. "It's Skystore! They've got so many cool things and I want them all!"

"You can't keep ducking out to the bathroom to check your phone. Our teachers are starting to get suspicious," Tori said.

"Wait," Cat spoke, with beaming eyes. "My Nona could help me out!"

"Cat," Tori interrupted her with a cold stare. "Or you could just talk to Lane," she suggested.

"What's Lane going to do?" Cat asked. "I like my idea better." She giggled.

"He's the guidance counselor. It's what he does," Tori reminded her. "Promise me you'll see him today after classes."

Cat paused for a moment, before giving in. "Sure," she sighed. "But I'm doing my idea first!"

Tori opened her mouth to speak, but Cat had already made her way to the door and exited the closet. "Cat!" Tori called after her, but it was no use. She sighed. There had to be something that she and the gang could think of.

She pulled out her Pear Phone and mass texted the gang. "Meet me at my house after classes," she muttered as she typed, before sending the message.
