Chapter 4 : First day at School
A week has passed since Eren and Cinder was caught bu there mothers and so in the week that came they were forced to Study with no time for free time and aren't allowed to watch TV as punishment now though the Two siblings are currently preparing to go to the new School for the Opening which will be conducted by both The Mayor and Dina
Currently the only one that are in the Farm is Carla and them as she was going to come with them to school to keep an eye on them much to their displeasure
"Seriously mom" Eren said as he put a couple of Notes and books in his Backpack alongside Cinder "You don't need watch over us we be fine"
Carla who was preparing meals for the Children for their lunch break for School , paused and looked at the children with a mix of concern and pride. "That's a no young man after what happened last Week I'm making sure you don't try to sneak out again for whatever reason ," she said, "besides it's a big day, and I want to be there for both of you."
Eren and Cinder exchanged a glance, knowing she had a point and was still rather mad when they snuck out of the Walls last week and they really don't wanna have another argument about it.
Carla's gaze softened as she saw the resignation in her children's eyes. "Look, I know you both feel like you're old enough to handle things on your own," she began
"Mom, I'm technically around 20 years old now," Eren interjected, with Cinder nodding in agreement, recalling that technically she was accompanied by an adult during their stealthy outing—surely that counted for something. Yet, it seemed mental maturity didn't equate to legal autonomy.
"Exceptions notwithstanding," Carla replied, fixing her gaze upon her son before continuing in a gentle tone, "but it's not just about watching over you. It's about being there for the important moments. Your first day at a new school is one of those moments."
Eren sighed, the weight of his mother's words sinking in. Cinder, on the other hand, seemed to be contemplating a different angle. "Ms Yaeger , if it's about being there for us, can't you just drop us off and watch the opening ceremony? We'll be in the crowd with all the other students," she proposed, hoping for a compromise.
Carla considered this for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, I can do that. But I'll be staying for the whole ceremony. And after that, I expect you two to head straight to your classes, understood?"
The two nodded in agreement, glad at not being watched over. They finished packing their bags, making sure they had everything they needed: notebooks, pens, and the special tokens their Mothers had given them for good luck—a pair of intricately carved keychains, both being a beautiful iridescent blue and green feather.
As they stepped out of the farmhouse, the morning sun cast a golden hue over the fields, signaling the start of a new chapter. The journey to school was quiet, each lost in their own thoughts about the day ahead. Upon arrival, the school grounds were buzzing with excitement. Students of all ages were gathered, talking and laughing, the air filled with a mix of nervousness and anticipation there Eren and Cinder found both of Their Friends Ren and Nora who accompanied by Ren parents
Eren and Cinder stood amidst the throng of students, their backpacks heavy with textbooks and anticipation. The air buzzed with excitement, a palpable energy that seemed to infuse every corner of the campus.
Carla, true to her word, had dropped them off and lingered near the entrance, her eyes scanning the crowd. She wore a determined expression, a mix of maternal concern and pride. Eren couldn't help but feel a twinge of embarrassment—after all, he was 19 years old mentally but and yet here he was, being chaperoned by his mother he will admit he is rather annoyed by this but he can understand the reason after all back on Paradis School and Education weren't widely available for those of the Lower class especially those who lived in Wall Maria so only those of Nobility and a few lucky people were able to get educated luckily for Eren and Carla back then Grisha was able to make do due to his experience as a Doctor when he was still living in Marley and thank to the fact Marley was more advanced than Paradis he was more educated compared to even the Smartest of People in Paradis.
So yes he can understand why her mother would want to come with them on the first day of school because back then Education were only primarily available for the Rich and the Lucky ones the Military doesn't really count yes Eren did receive Education there but most of the Knowledge was for Military Purposes
Cinder nudged him shaking him out of his thoughts, her eyes crinkling with amusement. "At least she's not following us to class."
Eren nodded. "Yeah, that would be something." He adjusted the strap of his backpack, glancing around. The other students were a mix of familiar faces and strangers. Some looked nervous, others excited. And then there were Ren and Nora, standing near the entrance with Ren's parents. The two friends waved, their smiles wide.
"Hey, Eren! Cinder!" Nora called out, her voice carrying over the hubbub. "Ready for the opening ceremony?"
Cinder grinned. "As ready as we'll ever be," she replied. "And you guys?"
Nora pumped her fist. "Totally! I can't wait to see what this school is all about."
Ren's father, a tall man with a stern expression, nodded in approval. "Remember, focus on your studies," he advised. "But don't forget to make friends too."
Ren nodded "Yes Father"
"Don't worry Li i keep Ren safe" Nora said to her adoptive Father
Ren chuckled "Other way around Nora" while shaking his head
An then said "Alright you Two enough of this go with your Friend" the ceremony is about to begin
They both nodded then went to Eren and Cinder Eren greeted them both and Cinder was talking to Nora about what they going to do Eren exchanged a glance with Ren he look pretty nervous so he decided to talk with him to boost his confidence
"Don't worry Ren" he said while putting his hand on Ren shoulder with Ren looking at him now "it be fine" he said to him reassuring him.
The opening ceremony began, the mayor and Dina taking the stage. Their speeches were a blur of words, but Eren caught snippets about unity, progress, and the importance of education. He wondered what it would be like to learn here since back then everything he learned was from The Military he wondered what would Civilian education be like but he guessed it will not be that much of a difference.
He felt a tap on his shoulder as he looked at Cinder pointing her finger at front with the speach coming to an end Eren nodded as he waited
"Ladies and gentlemen let the Grand opening of Fritz Education began" With that the Ceremony ended with the cutting of the ribbon at the door both by Dina and The Mayor followed by cheers
Now as the children said their goodbye to their parents he entered the place and as he get a better look at the school he can say he like it.
Nestled amidst the lush, verdant foothills of Kuroyuri, the new school stood The schoolhouse's facade harmoniously blends Mistralian and Kuroyuri architectural features. Curved, pagoda-style roofs with intricate eaves create a striking silhouette, drawing inspiration from Ancient Mistral rich heritage. The exterior combines wood panels and stone facades, with the wooden detailing reflecting Japanese craftsmanship and the stone adding colonial grandeur. Symmetrical rows of large windows allow natural light to flood the interior, echoing colonial aesthetics, while expansive glass walls blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Sustainable green roofs adorned with native plants and cherry blossoms enhance the building's eco-friendly design.
After that analyzing the School Eren, Cinder and the rest of their friends and other students entered the school through the double doors of were met with a scene of pure optimism. The interior design seamlessly blends traditional Mistralian and more modern elements. The Classroom feature low, polished wooden tables set upon tatami mats, where students gather for discussions. Smart boards display interactive lessons, merging ancient calligraphy with digital technology. Warm paper lanterns hang from the ceilings, casting a soft glow.
In the communal lounge, sliding shoji screens allow for flexibility, creating intimate nooks for student collaboration. Indoor gardens with bonsai trees and bamboo add tranquility, complemented by a soothing water feature reminiscent of a koi pond.
As they explored more Cinder look out of the window seeing a courtyard filled with Stone benches and a small fountain. The outdoor spaces are equally harmonious, with Zen gardens, brick-lined colonial courtyards, and playgrounds that blend traditional wooden structures with modern safety features. A cherry blossom tree shades the play area, completing the traditional Mistralian aesthetics.
"You know" Cinder began as she marvel the school "this place doesn't look so bad."
Eren nodded now his eyes looking at the rows of tables and seats "Come on C" he called out to her while they both take a seat as with Ren and Nora on the other side. Eren then look around the room he can at least count around 25 students in the room including them and from what he can see most of them were on the younger side around Ren and Nora age making Eren and Cinder being ones of the few older kids in the School.
As they sat down Cinder looked around seeing a group of boys around her age sitting beside the tables across them they were mostly chatting Amongst themselves until one of them decided to approach her
Cinder noticed one of the boys approaching, curious to see what he wanted. Eren watched him carefully.
The boy had a friendly smile. "Hi, I'm Bruce nice to meet you what's your name ?" He said in a friendly tone though Eren could tell he was rather nervous from his stance when he talked to Cinder
Cinder nodded. "Well hello Bruce. My name is Cinder."
Bruce smiled even wider at Cinder's friendly response "Nice to meet you Cinder" he then looked beside her seeing a boy his age "and what about you what you're name" He turned to Eren expectantly.
Eren look at him and respond "I'm Eren," he replied calmly yet cautiously. Growing up where he did, he was always on his guard meeting new people.
"Great to meet you both," Bruce said sincerely. "So what do you think of the new school?"
"It's amazing" Cinder responded while Eren simply said "It's alright."
He nodded "I know right" he said gleefully before he continue "Seems rather amazing right" Bruce began in a happy tone "Kuroyuri is finally getting a School and we're one of the first to enter it"

As Bruce spoke eagerly of the school, Eren took note of his excitement and optimism. Though cautious, Eren hoped the school could provide the things he never had back in his old life a chance to be considered normal. Unnoticed by him while he was in his thoughts Cinder and Bruce continued to talk Bruce invited his other friends to meet with them
"This is my friends Eddie and James" Said Bruce snapping Eren out of his thoughts while he continues talking to Cinder introducing her to his friends a blonde boy and and Red head "And this is Cinder and Eren" Bruce introduced them to his friends as he looks at them
"Nice to meet you", "Hello there" they both said respectively to them
Eren nodded a greeting to Eddie and James, taking note of their nervousness around Cinder but choosing not to comment. "Nice to meet you both," he said evenly.
Dina, soon entered the classroom making all the students conversation stop and make them focus in front of the room Dina looked at them all while also making a small glance at Cinder and Eren before looking back at the rest with a warm smile she greeted them all. "Welcome students, to your first day at Kuroyuri School. I'm so pleased to see you all here and eager to learn" She Stand in front of them looking at them all before continuing "now before we begin our study i would like you all to each introduce yourself each and every one of you" she then look at her adopted daughter Cinder "starting with you can you please introduce yourself" she said that as she pointed her finger at her.
Cinder stumbles for a moment before she stood from her seat, suddenly feeling shy under the gaze of her classmates. She cleared her throat and said "Hello everyone, my name is Cinder." Her voice was soft but clear.
Eren gave her an encouraging nod which boosted her confidence before she continued. "I've lived in Kuroyuri just a year ago. I like Arts ,crafts, Music and Singing i also like spending time with my family . It's very nice to meet you all." She sat down after introducing herself.
Dina continue to Bruce. "Thank you Cinder" she then looked at Ren" Would you like to go next?"
Ren stood up then politely introduced him self. "Hello everyone my name is Ren I've lived in Kuroyuri my whole life. I studying and helping out at my mother and father while they work, I also like meditating a few time. It's very nice to meet you all" he sat down after finishing
Dina then look at Nora stood up eagerly. "Hi all, I'm Nora! I love spending time with my friends and also eating Pancakes . Can't wait to learn lots of cool stuff with you guys this year" She sat down after that.
Eren noticed Nora enthusiasm seemed to put the other students at ease. They each took turns introducing themselves, sharing bits about their families, hobbies, and hopes for school.
Soon finally it was Eren's turn for last. He stood, feeling the weight of many curious eyes upon him. "My name is Eren. just like Cinder i only lived a year ago in Kuroyuri we also lived together I also like History" That was all he offered at first, unsure how much to reveal about himself "It was nice meeting you." He sat as his classmates greeted him warmly.
Dina smiled, pleased with the budding connections. "Wonderful introductions, everyone. Now let's begin our first lesson..." She began explaining the school's curriculum, from lessons in reading, writing, mathematics, science and more.
The students listened intently to Dina's overview of their lessons. Cinder found herself particularly interested in the history and writing classes. As Dina spoke, Ren leaned over to whisper "What do you think so far?"
Cinder smiled. "It all sounds really interesting. I can't wait to learn more." She glanced at Eren who seemed focused on Dina's words. Cinder hoped the school would help Eren feel more at ease over time.
Dina then instructed the class to get their books and writing supplies ready. As the students bustled about the room, Nora turned to her friends. "We should sit together," she suggested to Ren as they went over to Eren and Cinder. "Mind if we join you?"
Eren nodded briefly, more comfortable with familiar faces near. Cinder gave Nora a warm smile. "Well come on then" she invited them to their tables Soon their little group was seated together, books and paper spread before them. Dina began the first reading lesson, her clear voice filling the room. Cinder found herself enraptured by the story. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Eren slowly become immersed as well.
At the end of the lesson, Dina smiled proudly. "Ok, everyone. For your first assignment, I'd like you all to write a short story of your own. You may read them to the class tomorrow if you'd like. But for now, it's time for our midday meal. Enjoy your free time until lessons resume after lunch."
The students began chatting excitedly as they stood to leave to the courtyard. Cinder turned to her friends. "Come on let's eat together " she asked. They all nodded with Nora exclaiming"Of course! Last one outside is a rotten egg!" And with that, she dashed from the room, the others hurrying after. Eren smiled a little as he walked with Cinder into the bright courtyard.
At the Courtyard all the students all eat together in their respective groups Eren and Cinder eat with Ren and Nora. Eren was telling them a funny story he have on his past life on when he and his friends in The Military came to Marley specifically and incident involving two idiots and a scientist.
"They tried to feed a car with Carrots ?!" Nora ask while laughing out loud alongside Ren
"Yep" Eren said with a small chuckle at that funny memory even though during that time he was too busy thinking about how everything so far is happening as what the future told him dampening his mood at the horrifying reality he will admit that small moment of stupidity was hilarious.
Cinder giggle her hand covering her mouth at that knowing what he is talking about since she saw that part of his memory ever since Darkness gave her Eren Life Story.
"So then what happened ?" Ren asked after gaining his bearings of the hilarious story.
"We dragged them back to our group we also forced them to be watch by Captain Levi for the rest of the Day" he told them.
Ren and Nora slightly chuckled at that still remembering what he told them about The Short Captain, Cinder already know of course but it's still funny to her.
Cinder and Eren then stood up finishing their lunch "Guys we go ahead and go back to class ok" Cinder told them.
Nora who was eating her food gives her thumbs up while Ren simply said "Yeah go ahead we be right behind you."
They nodded as they proceeded to go back inside but before they do Cinder spotted a washroom "Hey Eren" she hold Eren hand stopping him "we should clean up first" she said as she pointed at the Washroom he looked at it then nodded.
After a few minutes Cinder walked out of the Washroom clean she looked around not seeing Eren anywhere she waited for him to finish she lay her back on the wall waiting until she saw the group of boys Bruce, Eddie and James approaching her though slightly nervous she then decided to greet them.
"Hi guys" she greeted them
Bruce smiled nervously as he and his friends approached Cinder. "Hi, we didn't get to properly introduce ourselves earlier. I'm Bruce, and these are my cousins Eddie and James."
James waved shyly while Eddie stepped forward. "It's nice to meet you Cinder. We saw you and your friends. We're having fun what were you guys talking about ?"
Cinder nodded. "A funny story in Eren life"
Bruce spoke up again. "You know we were wondering if we can hang out have fun together you know play at my house this weekend." He told her wanting to hang out with her
At that moment, Eren exited the washroom and walked over to join Cinder. She introduced the boys. "Eren, this is Bruce and his cousins Eddie and James. They were asking me if we can Hang out in Bruce house this weekend do you wanna go ?" Ask her best friend
Eren eyed the boys warily but nodded. "That could be interesting." His tone was neutral but Cinder knew he was open to exploring.
Just then, the lunch bell rang. The boys said goodbye and hurried off to finish eating. Cinder turned to Eren. "What do you think? It could be fun."
Eren considered it. while he wanted to simply continue Training their powers next week but they really dont have anything to do this weekend and these boys seemed harmless enough. "Alright, we'll meet them after lessons."
Cinder smiled, pleased they then rejoined Ren and Nora heading back to class, unbeknownst to them Bruce couldn't take his eyes off Cinder. Her beautiful smile and kind nature had captivated him.
When lessons resumed, Dina paired the students into groups to discuss their reading. Bruce made sure to end up in Cinder's group, and he hung on her every word as they chatted.
At one point, their hands brushed as they both reached for a book. Bruce blushed fiercely as Cinder apologized, unaware of the effect she had on him.
Eren watched Bruce with narrowed eyes, noticing his infatuation. While Cinder remained oblivious, Eren made a mental note to keep an eye on the smitten boy.
When the groups dispersed, Eddie approached Cinder's desk. "I was wondering if you'd like help coming up with a story topic for the writing assignment?" he asked shyly.
Cinder smiled graciously. "Thank you Eddie, I appreciate the offer."
Nearby, James sighed longingly as he gazed at Cinder from afar. The three boys were clearly enchanted by her beauty and charm.
At the end of school , Bruce hurried to Cinder's side. "We're still on for hanging out this weekend, right?" he asked eagerly. She agreed, and the boys exchanged triumphant grins at spending more time with their new crush.
Eren continued watching closely. It seemed these boys' interest in Cinder went beyond friendship. He vowed to protectively stay by her side during their visit to Bruce house.
As the sun began to set, Eren and Cinder began their walk to their house deep in thoughtful conversation about what they had learned and experienced.
Cinder and Eren made their way back to the dorms. "So what did you think of your first day?" Eren asked.
"It was really interesting and fun," Cinder said thoughtfully. "I learned a lot and can't wait for more lessons tomorrow" she then looked at Eren beside her as they still walk home "how about you what did you think"
Eren thought for a moment before he answered "It was different" he said pausing before continuing "Very different compared to back on Paradis then again it was more of a Military Academy more than anything so I don't really know" he then smiled slightly "but it was Peaceful."
Cinder listened intently, nodding in empathy. She knew almost his entire life had been defined by war and violence ever since knowing the Truth of his World and Seizure The Future. With a silent promise, Cinder make a promise to herself to be the light in his darkness, a friend to guide him through the tragedy that consumed him. In that moment, she made a solemn pledge to stand by his side, no matter the trials ahead, and bring hope into his tumultuous existence.
"Hey look we're almost home" Eren said snapping her from her thoughts as she then look at their home.
"So what do you wanna do after we visit Bruce Eren" Cinder ask wondering what he have planned after their visit towards their New friends as both of them walk to the front doors of their house.
He thought for a moment before answering "Training" saying nothing else.
Cinder nodded then they opened the door being greeted by Carla the living room filled with food
"We're home"

After 50 days I'm back everyone with a new chapter and I'm going to be honest I have no idea what the Hell I'm doing here because how in the world do you make a chapter with the plot of going to Elementary school in RWBY in Remnant with a Reincarnated Former Genocidal Maniac that is Eren who is re aged to a literall child i will admit I had to ask a lot of help for trying this chapter make sense.

Also there's the new Characters Bruce, Eddie and James they're not actually new this boys were based on that on scene in Chapter 18 : On the Road Again where Cinder and Nora were talking in the Flashback about who they like well it was their you can find it i was going to put Alex in here too but from what I understand in the conversation he sounds like someone Cinder met when she was older so I'm not putting him here.
