A Trip Into Town
"Oh! I see now," Angelica said to Sofia. "I can't wait to see a flying derby race!"
"Maybe you will the next time you're in the Ever Realm." Hugo said to Angelica.
The grandfather clock in the lounge rang eleven times.
"Look at the time! We'd better be hitting the sack." Breeze observed with a yawn.
Jade, Camille, Angelica, Sofia, Slam, Hugo, and Breeze went to their respective bedrooms in the dormitory.
The next day just before dance class, Sofia and Angelica raced to the doorway of the bedroom that Jade and Camille shared.
Camille was already in her dance class outfit like Sofia and Angelica were.
However, Jade was having a difficult time putting her dance class outfit on.
"Oh no! My dance class outfit has shrunk on me! I'm getting as fat as Sky Clone," Jade said, beginning to panic. "what am I going to do now?"
"Don't worry, Jade," Angelica said. "we can take you into town to buy a new dance outfit."
"Angelica," Camille reminded. "class begins shortly."
"And, Camille," Jade reminded. "I need a new outfit for dance class!"
Dame Skyla came to the door to Camille and Jade's bedroom.
"It sounds to me like a girls' day out is needed here." Dame Skyla said.
"Yes! Thank you, Dame Skyla," Jade exclaimed. "thank you so very much!"
A little while later, Sofia, Jade, Angelica, and Camille were at the mall.
Once inside the mall, the four girls made a mad dash for the dance wear store.
"How about this one?" Angelica asked Jade.
Jade inspected the outfit that Angelica was holding up to her.
The outfit that Angelica held up to Jade was a hot pink leotard with sparkly hot pink sequins, sheer pink tights, and a hot pink tutu.
"Angelica," Sofia reminded. "Jade needs this outfit for class not a recital."
"I knew that." Angelica said.
Camille held up an outfit for Jade to inspect.
"How about this one, Jade?" Angelica asked Jade.
Jade inspected the outfit that Camille was holding up to her.
The outfit that Camille held up to Jade was an aqua leotard with short sleeves, black stretch pants, and purple legwarmers.
"That's a bit more like it! Thanks, Camille! Now, if I keep practicing during class, I'll lose enough weight to fit into my practice outfit that won't fit me right now!" Jade exclaimed.
After paying for her new dance practice outfit, Jade, Camille, Angelica, and Sofia went back to High Hope Academy for dance class.
In the dance studio, Jade showed up for class in her new practice outfit.
Neither Slam, Breeze, nor Hugo laughed at Jade.
However, Jade was lucky that Brandon was still suspended from the academy for the stunt he pulled on Hugo in the cafeteria.
"Glad to see you, Jade." Hugo said.
"Thanks, Hugo, I'm going to practice long and hard for the upcoming spring gala!" Jade exclaimed.
"Let's do it, Jade." Breeze said.
"You got it, Breeze." Jade agreed, saluting.
The dance class had finally begun.
