DuPont seems to have a bit of a troubled reputation, though hopefully the new staff can have a better handle on it. The shiny red eyes do indeed describe a lot of characters. You are correct that Vlad wouldn't do something like that for Jack Fenton. Like all things, only time will reveal the truth.

Speedykitten1643: I'm glad you have so many good things to say about it. I had fun writing her going off on Hawkmoth while trying not to say anything too explicit. Danny indeed has possibly given the man another reason to never underestimate him. Marinette and Dick have truly reunited and this is the beginning of their familial relationship rekindling. Now if only they could find the third missing bird.

glennish1966: Well I'm just full of surprises. There are indeed multiple time travelers to consider in this universe. I love that someone's keeping tally of when Danny seriously kicks Hawkmoth's butt.

The_Avenging_Titan: The implications are there and the reveal had occurred for Marinette as Maria. I'm glad I could surprise someone with it. It has been hinted at a few times throughout the story.

Midnights_Echo: LOL! Probably because I didn't do as good a job at being misleading about Marinette being Maria as I hoped. It'll come to you at some point.

A lot of unexpected things came up yesterday, including things I never thought possible.

I'll start with what happened when I saw the name "Maria G".

I started having a mental breakdown and saw memories of people I didn't remember.

Turns out, an accident when Chloe, Jack, and I were young left me with a terrible case of amnesia.

I actually wasn't supposed to make it out of the accident at all, but a strange man saved me at the cost of causing my amnesia.

To explain what happened, I need to start off with an even bigger bombshell.

This is something I didn't know until yesterday and it's still a little fresh.

To rip the Band-Aid off, I'm actually adopted.

I was picked up from the US by my parents when I was little, brought to Paris to be part of their family.

Anyway, I was separated from my brothers after the death of our parents.

Mom and Dad, my adoptive ones, did their best to help me cope with the loss before I went to school.

I grew up with Chloe and Jack before an incident saw me placed in a trauma coma.

A ghost with a clock staff offered to heal me but made my parents hide the truth of who I was for years.

The change in me caused a rift between me and Chloe and I lived my life from there on as Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

We've had some run-ins with him and he's a known ally to Phantom, as long as Phantom isn't causing time problems.

What he did changed me, making me look more like Mom and Dad's biological child.

If it weren't for Ladybug's Kwami healing me after Hawkmoth nearly akumatized me, I probably would have been back in the coma or worse.

One of the disadvantaged of being locked away with no real social interaction until you finally get to go to school, I guess.

To explain myself, my parents created a portal into the Ghost Zone two years ago.

They gave up and went upstairs, but the others convinced me to take a look inside.

Didn't Danny have something else he said he wanted to say?

Danny found himself in a hotel room with Juleka by his side, Chloe using her status to get him a room for his short stay with no questions asked. Danny was about to say more beyond his headache declaration, only for Juleka to send her own message. His girlfriend then placed her hand on his, shutting off his phone as she placed it on the nearby table. Her phone sat right beside it, a white and green case with a black flaming heart displayed on the back protecting it. She began to rub the boy's shoulders, causing him to sigh from the pressure she put on said areas. Juleka smiled, resting her head on top of his.

"Everything's going to be okay, Danny," cooed the former gloomy girl. "Sam just needs time and Tucker said he'd talk with her. You don't have to go flying off to fix this right now. Just take time to let what happened sink in." Danny looked down, sighing a bit.

"I just hate that I'm always doing something to upset her these days," stated the boy. "She's still one of my best friends and it doesn't sit well with me when any of us are arguing." Juleka didn't let her smile up, moving her fingers into his shirt a bit as she continued to massage him.

"You're way too tense. You need to relax. I can help you with that~." She tugged at his hooded jacket, prompting him to slide it off. She then pulled his shirt up a bit, seeing the electrical scars upon his torso.

"This is why I always wear shirts where I go. I don't want people always asking questions and being reminded of how I half died." He gritted his teeth as his girlfriend ran a finger along one of the areas, chills rolling down his spine.

"I like them. It reminds me how much you go through for others and looks wicked rad, like one of those grizzled horror movie heroes. Actually, a horror movie marathon sounds like a fun idea. We'll need to do that some time." Danny gulped as he felt Juleka's nails lightly scrape against his skin, his body heating up slightly.

"Jules, you're making it hard for me to focus. I still need to tell them about Ellie and-" The boy found his shirt being pulled off his head before he was pulled into the bedroom, being pulled by his arm as his girlfriend smiled at him. The door was locked behind them, Juleka pushing him into a makeout session as they approached the bed. She then smirked, feeling her guy's hands on her bottom.

"You can tell them all about it later. Right now, I need you. Remind me what I can look forward to in a few years."

That's all for this chapter! Marinette reveals the truth of her family to the rest of the guild, including her connection to Dick. Danny also reveals that he is Phantom, something Sam does not approve of. Tucker promises that he will handle it, though it's unclear if he'll be able to. In the end, Juleka decides to brighten Danny's day in her own special way.
