Chapter Twenty-Two
Tracking Down the Prey
Back with the Disciples, they had arrived where Rex and Lilith were located.
Samson drove the van whilst the others hid in the back.
Diablo was smirking as he looked through the windscreen to see it was a small motel and Rex and Lilith were hiding behind a white Van.
Samson parked up the van behind where the Falcon and Doberman were hiding, and Diablo climbed out to greet them.
"Well done." He said, "You found them?"
The Falcon and Doberman nodded.
"They're located in Rooms 13 and 14 here." Lilith reported "I watched them." She pointed at her eyes.
"And I smelt their foul scents as they entered." Rex chimed in "They reek of mixed booze and cigarettes, as well as the odd drug!"
"Well done guys." Diablo said.
"So, what's the plan?" Lilith asked.
"We can't do too much that could attract attention." Rex suggested "This is a motel, there are other guests and night staff."
Diablo nodded.
"I think I might have a plan." He said then looked at the white van.
"This is theirs, is it not?" placing a taloned hand on
Lilith and Rex nodded then Diablo smirked again as a plan formulated in his head before he gestured with his head to get Lilith and Rex to follow him to the back of the van.
Meanwhile the others waited inside wondering what their next move was until Diablo appeared with Lilith and Rex.
"Boss!" Ravage asked with an excited smile.
"Have we arrived?" Seth asked.
Regan grinned showing her teeth and looked to Aurora excitedly.
"We're gonna have some fun!" she squeaked.
"Ladies, gentlemen!" Diablo said as he climbed in "Let us not get ahead of ourselves, I have a plan."
The Disciples settled and they sat in the circle in the back whilst Diablo explained his plan.
"Right now, as far as we're aware, there are five men and they're in the two adjoining rooms 13 and 14." Diablo spoke "According to Lilith and Rex."
The Falcon and Doberman looked pleased with themselves that they were able to locate their prey.
"Are we going to go in and attack in their rooms?" Lamia asked, "That might be risky."
"I know." Diablo replied, "And you are correct Lamia, it is too risky, so my plan is that we lure them out of their rooms and use this van and the white one in front to transport them to where we can do what we wish, and no-one will hear their screams!" he smirked a sinister smile.
Regan giggled.
"Wonderful!" she grinned.
"Sounds like a plan!" Ravage agreed.
"Yet how are we to do that boss?" Chastity asked.
Diablo kept that smirk on his face then looked to Lamia.
"Our dear Miss Sparky can give them a little shock to get them ready for transportation." He said to which Lamia nodded with an evil smile and took off one of her gloves before waving her bare hand.
"One room is covered Boss." Samson agreed "Yet what of the other one?"
"I believe this requires a test for our newest recruit." Diablo said turning to Aurora who sat up straight.
"Me?" she asked in surprise to which Regan smiled encouragingly.
"Yes you." Diablo said, "Since you and Lamia look more human under a disguise than us here, given as some of us have rather distinguishing features that show, like wings, and horns in Seth's case, or extra arms looking at Ravage, I believe you should be the ones to knock on the doors and greet our 'friends'." He added.
"You think that's a good idea Diablo?" Lilith asked in a worried voice "We don't even know how Aurora could handle these bigots, Rex and I saw them, they're large men, and armed, they won't hesitate to take down a small one like Aurora!"
As Aurora listened to that, she felt rather appalled, almost like the Falcon was doubting her.
It was true what she was saying though, that they didn't know what she was capable of, but Aurora could feel a niggling feeling within her, like something she had always possessed, a trait she had, even if she didn't remember anything prior to when the Disciples had found her.
It was the thirst to prove herself, and how she could handle any challenge given to her and hearing Lilith's doubt, it was griding at her.
"What makes you think I cannot handle myself?" she asked to which all the Disciples turned to her.
"What makes you think I cannot handle some ugly bigots?"
Regan blinked as she looked at Aurora and she smirked liking her attitude.
Diablo cocked his head.
"You seem rather eager Aurora." He said, "That pleases me, yet Lilith does have a point, that we have not seen what you can do, but I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, but it is best that someone is with you to assist."
"I can do that Diablo." Samson offered "I too can pass as more human under heavy disguise despite my feline features."
Diablo looked over at Samson and nodded.
"Thank you." He said then looked at Lamia and Aurora.
"You have your assignments." He said, "Use what you can to immobilise them, then we'll take them into the vans and drive away from this place so we can have our way with them."
Lamia nodded and placed her glove back on her hand as well as pulled her hood further over her forehead and placed a veil over her mouth so only her eyes were showing.
Samson meanwhile pulled on a blue jacket with some sports numbers on the back of it as well as a black woollen beanie to cover his panther ears.
Aurora meanwhile chose a leather jacket and sunglasses from the pile of clothes they had for disguises and soon she was ready.
"We'll make sure they're properly taken down and brought to the vans." Samson said.
"And quietly too." Diablo reminded them "So as not to rouse the other guests."
"Be aware of security cameras too." Lilith warned "There are a few around the place, I saw."
"Thank you, Lil." Lamia replied then gestured with her head to get Samson and Pandora to follow her.
"Careful." Seth called over them and Regan gave Aurora a thumbs up and a wink for encouragement to which Aurora smiled back.
Samson and Lamia lead Aurora towards the motel where they soon found the doors they were looking for.
"Rooms 13 and 14." Samson said putting a finger to his lips.
"From what I can hear, those bastards are still awake." Lamia said as she looked to the doors where some music was being played along with some laughing and jeering.
Aurora narrowed her eyes.
"Those bigots are celebrating their evil deeds." She growled "And they don't even care about the ones you targeted earlier."
"There's no honour amongst them that's for sure!" Samson said as he listened in and beckoned Aurora to stay close.
Lamia went over to Door 13 and listened in.
"I hear three voices." She reported "I will go for the larger number, Aurora, you will go for the other."
Aurora nodded and smirked as she readied her tail like that of a scorpion.
Samson walked with Aurora and stood to the side of the door.
"I'll be right here if you need me kid." He promised to which Aurora nodded at him in thanks.
Lamia readied to knock on the door and looked at Aurora.
"Ready?" she asked to which the hybrid nodded.
"Great, okay...one...two... three!"
Both the eel and hybrid knocked on the doors at the same time and got ready to be greeted.
It took a few seconds but before long the doors opened and a man on the other side who encountered Lamia wore a red tee-shirt with a blue and white cross on it.
"What do you what?" he asked then blinked as he saw Lamia dressed in her full Muslim clothes.
"What? A dirty..." he cried yet he didn't have a chance to finish that sentence as Lamia thrust her right hand at his face and she shocked him with her touch!
The man let out a muffled cry before he fell backwards passed out and Lamia stepped inside the room.
As she did, she recoiled at the smell and how the room was all messy and stank of drugs, booze and cigarette smoke.
"Hey! Chris? What happened..." a voice called out from the bed when he turned to see Lamia walking over "What the hell?"
He jumped up and reached for a baseball bat on the side ready to throw it at Lamia, yet the electric eel ducked, and she jumped straight for his middle which was bare as he had a rather large beer gut that was exposed under his dirty tank top and tight jeans.
She then drove her exposed hand onto his skin, and he cried out in shock before falling back on the bed in pain.
That gave Lamia the chance to wrench the bat out of his hands and she struck him in the face with it, knocking him out cold.
As she did that, the eel looked around for the third man she heard only to see him coming out of the bathroom.
Lamia narrowed her eyes as she saw him, shirtless and with a Nazi symbol tattooed on his chest.
"Really want to leave a mark on yourself, don't you?" she asked.
The man was alarmed when he saw her.
"Who the hell are you?!" he asked yet he cried out in fear as she leapt over the bed and over to him with the bat which she raised to strike yet the man grabbed the bat before she could strike him.
Yet that proved to be what Lamia wanted for as that happened, she grabbed his throat and shocked him with her electrical touch, and he collapsed unconscious.
Lamia grinned triumphantly and dropped the bat before putting her glove back on before looking to the next room, wondering how Aurora was doing.
At the same time, Aurora waited until the door was opened and a man with a bald head and a white tee-shirt with the Nazi symbol on it appeared and he saw her.
"What?" he asked rudely.
Aurora kept her head down but then looked up giving the man a chance to see her reptilian features.
"Surprise Shit-Face!" she smirked making the man stare at her in alarm, but before he could say anything, her tail appeared behind her and struck him in the forehead making him fall backwards!
Aurora smirked and leapt over his body into the bedroom where she saw the second man wearing a black t-shirt and about to smoke a cigarette who just as his comrade was struck looked over and saw her bounding over to him.
"Holy Shit!" he cried leaping up from the chair and falling backwards on the bed, he looked around for something to fight the hybrid with, but she jumped on top of him and punched him hard in the face knocking him out cold!
As she did that Samson came and put his head around the door to see what had happened, and he saw Aurora getting off the bed after punching the second man down.
"Nice work there kid!" he said "You got a good strike going there with your tail!"
Aurora smiled proudly then started to look around the room to see if she could find anything interesting.
She soon found two sets of keys on the dressing table as well as some wallets.
"Jackpot!" she said holing them up and Samson smirked.
"Well done!" he said, picking up the men's bodies and walking out of the room, the hybrid not far behind.
At the same time, Lamia appeared from the other room just as Rex and Ravage were approaching.
"All five down for the count." Lamia confirmed seeing the bodies Rex carried as well as pointed into the room she had just emerged from.
"And I found treasure!" Aurora smirked holding up the keys and the wallets.
"So did I." Lamia agreed producing some wallets she too had swiped.
"Great work ladies!" Samson said then looked to Rex and Ravage who went into Room 13 and soon came out with the three other men, Ravage carrying the larger one with his extra arms and Rex with the other two over each shoulder.
"Back to the van." Samson said, "I'm pretty sure one of those sets of keys is for the white van."
They soon made their way back quietly to the vans where Diablo, Chastity, Seth, Lilith, and Regan were waiting.
No sooner did they arrive with their victims than Diablo smirked.
"Good job!" he said as Ravage, Rex and Samson threw them inside the van and Seth, himself and Chastity tied their hands behind their backs as well as bound their ankles together.
"Aurora proved herself to do well in bringing down two of those thugs!" Samson smirked looking at the hybrid.
"Did she now?" Diablo asked to which Samson nodded and Aurora showed Diablo how she used her tail like that of a scorpion to strike as well as leap onto the second one.
"They stood no chance Diablo." She said, "I took them both down, no problem."
"Very good." Diablo smirked "And from what I also see, you have the keys for the other van?"
"I do yes." Pandora said holding up one that matched the make of the van next to them, "Yet I have another set but to which vehicle do they belong?"
Samson took the set of keys and analysed them before looking at the other vehicles in the car park.
"Unless they're a spare pair..." he mused, then he saw a motorcycle in a section that was reserved for smaller vehicles, and he looked at the keys again to see if he could put the set to the motorcycle and he walked over to one that was black and slightly dirty.
"Hmmm, I think I found it." He declared.
As Aurora saw it, her eyes lit up and she ran her hands along it's seat before climbing onto it.
"Hmmm, nice!" she said, "A little dirty and rusty in parts, but I'm sure it'll work."
She seated herself into it then taking the keys from Samson she placed them in the ignition and started it up.
"Whoa!" Samson cried "Do you even know how to drive one of these!?"
Aurora didn't answer, she just backed the motorcycle out of the parking space and started to drive it around with ease.
Samson watched with wide eyes as did the other Disciples.
"How does she even know how to...?" Lilith asked.
"She can't remember her own name or the life she had before, yet she knows how to fight since she took down two of the thugs, and she knows how to operate a motorbike?" Chastity followed up.
Regan meanwhile looked excited and went over to Aurora who stopped the bike and turned to the Vampire Bat.
"That's so awesome!" she said.
"Thanks!" Aurora grinned then looked at Diablo who was rather shocked himself, but he soon looked impressed.
"Indeed girls." He said, "She may not know her name or her past, but she's got skills, and since she did well for the first test, she may ride the motorbike to our next destination."
Seth's eyes widened.
"You sure that's safe." He asked.
"Don't worry." Diablo assured the oryx, "I will fly above to watch them as well as guide you in the vans to where our next destination is."
"Wise choice boss." Ravage said looking at Aurora who was still sitting proudly on the bike then saw Regan climb on behind her.
Just then voices were heard from the motel.
"Hey, what's going on out there?"
"What's the racket!?"
"We're trying to sleep here!"
"Shit!" Diablo cried "We better scram!"
Samson instantly ran to the white van, Ravage joined him, whilst the others jumped in the blue and green van with their hostages.
"Follow my lead!" Diablo hissed then went over to the girls.
"Put metal to the pedal girls!" he said opening his wings "Before anything else happens!"
"Got it!" Aurora said revving up the bike then saw Diablo rise up into the sky "Follow me!" he crowed then took off into the night.
"Let's ride!" Aurora grinned then she felt Regan wrap her arms around her waist and they took off on the road after Diablo, the others following them in the stolen vans.
The Disciples have caught their prey, and Aurora proved herself to be quite capable, as despite not knowing who she really is, she's remembered her fighting moves and the fact she can drive a motorcycle, no prizes for guessing who taught her!
