Four months ago on Shiganshina…
Dean was on his way home after a hunting mission as he was glad to get rid of the vengeful spirit that was haunting some of the locals here in Yukishiro. With the war over, he was glad that the Executive Division was no longer active as he was itching to see Magda and the children again. When he parked the Impala by the steps of the base, he noticed that something wasn't right as he ran to the elevator and took it up to the base at the top of the Dabb Mountains in which he saw a group of humanoids dressed in strange clothing armed with weapons. He also noticed some of his unit gunned down as the intruders were ready to kill more of them until he changed into his diamond form to intervene to save them. To his surprise, the clothing that the intruders wore became impervious to conventional weapon attacks as they were itching to do away with the other humanoids living at the base, for they meant business. What he also didn't expect was that the leader of the group was different as he was dressed in a grey suit with the same material that was woven into it, for he was ready to do some damage to the Hunter Corps soon enough.
"Look at this!" he yelled. "The Order of Letters really did go soft!"
"This isn't your place to do damage in, so I suggest that you leave!" yelled Ben as he was armed with his weapons. "This place has a volcano in it, so I suggest that you get your little friends out of here or else there will be trouble!"
"And who might you be?"
"My name is Benjamin Isaac Braeden, son of Lisa Braeden and a member of the Order of Letters. I have a Draaza wife and a Cetra son in which I would vow to keep them safe at all times!"
"You having a Draaza wife? Then that makes you a traitor to the human race!"
"Back off!" yelled Dean as he was in his diamond form. "If you're from the Executive Division, they're either dead or imprisoned. The war is over! Get used to it!"
"Get rid of that walking porcupine!"
The leader left his subordinates to attack Dean as he wasn't having it the moment he used his diamond projectiles to pierce through the clothing that the intruders wore. Even though it was impervious to conventional attacks, it was no match for the sharp diamond projectiles that damaged it in which the intruders ended up dead on the ground. With most of the unit safe for now, he was also wanting to look for Magda as she wasn't there in which he spotted Tansu with the other children. He was glad that they were safe as he also had to make sure that Magda was safe. Just as he was about to find her, he saw Desna rushing towards him as he wasn't about to leave his side in which he was aware of what was happening here at the base, for the intruders weren't like the Executive Division even after the war ended four months prior.
"I have to find Magda," said Dean.
"You're not going in there alone, Captain," said Desna as he was armed with his sniper rifle.
"Whoever those ass-clowns are, they picked the wrong day to mess with us."
"We should also find the ringleader of that group before it's too late."
Without warning, Dean and Desna heard Magda screaming as they were concerned for her safety. When they went further outside where the hot pond was, they found footprints on the ground as they followed them to where the screaming was. Magda's screams got louder as if she was fighting for her life in which Dean was running ragged the moment he rushed forth with Desna following from behind him. He was fearing the worst as he also didn't want anything bad to happen to Magda in which she was everything to him, for she also loved him in return.
"No, please! Don't take away my baby! Stop it, I'm begging you!"
Dean sprinted to where the screaming stopped as he found Magda sprawled onto the ground in which her stomach was cut open in which he spotted a placenta that was cut on the ground. His heart sank as he found her like this as Desna caught up to him in which he was devastated to see something like that, for this was no ordinary attack.
"What the hell happened?!" he cried. "What the hell happened to our boy?!"
"Jacob took him," said Magda as she was struggling to live due to what she sustained.
"Who's Jacob?" asked Desna.
"He's the guy who raided the base…" Magda grabs Dean's hand as she had tears in her eyes. "You have to go after him, Dean! You have to rescue our boy! Please, you have to stop Jacob before he kills him…"
"We'll find our boy and punish the asshat who invaded our base!"
"Thank you, Dean… I… love you…so much… Please…, save… our boy…"
Magda's eyes closed forever as Dean vowed to go after her killer in which he saw the fresh tracks to where they led to one of the cliffs. When he and Desna found the killer, they saw him dangling the newborn upside down as he was ready to throw him off a cliff in which he ready to do it, for he was ready to do it on the sly.
"Dean Winchester," said the killer. "I take it that you want your little boy."
"Give him back, murderer!" he yelled.
"In ancient times on Earth, there was a warrior race known as the Spartans and your little boy doesn't fit the mold of their training in which they're perfected to do battle. Do you know what happens to those who were not born perfect? They get thrown off a cliff!"
"Don't you dare, you son-of-a-bitch!"
It wasn't long until the killer was ready to throw the baby off the cliff as Desna sprinted to where he caught the newborn the moment he used his grappling hook to hoist himself back up to the top. The killer was angry that his plan to kill the baby failed as Dean was ready to strike him in which he ended up using his diamond projectiles to incapacitate him while tearing at the clothing he wore. Still, he didn't want anyone else getting hurt as he ordered Desna to take the baby away from the danger, for this was his fight after all.
"Get the baby out of here!" he yelled as Desna took off with him.
And so, Dean rushed forward to attack Magda's killer as he punched him in the face. He swore vengeance against his opponent as he saw him jabbing at him in the ribs while standing firm. The clothing he wore protected him in which he was giving Dean a run for his money in which he ended up getting the short end of the stick. Just when all hope was lost, Dean used his diamond projectiles to attack the killer as he cut at the protective clothing he wore while one of them cut at his face in which he saw blood seeping from the wound. Anger flooded him as he was ready to attack my older brother until he saw a ship approaching to retrieve him the moment he got on and left.
"This isn't over, Dean!" he yelled as he clutched at his face. "I will bring humanity to the top one day!"
Dean saw the ship leaving as he was left with a bittersweet victory, but at a cost. Turning around, he noticed the surviving members of his unit carting Magda's body in a stretcher as he began to grieve for her death. He also swore vengeance to the one who killed her and nearly did away with his newborn as he was dangerous along with his group, for there was a new battle looming on the horizon. When he went back into the base, he saw Desna with the baby as he was glad that the newborn was alive and safe, but he was not happy with what happened, for it was all too much for him to bear.
"Your baby is safe, Captain," he said.
"I know…" said Dean as he began to shed tears from his face. "We never saw this coming. Even though we went through hell and back during the Second Galvanic Uprising, we never expected that asshat and his cronies to come here and attack us!"
"You need to focus on your baby, Captain. The Medical Corps is coming to bury the dead and heal the wounded. I even called for emergency baby formula for the infant."
"Fair enough… As for the baby, his name is Roderick James Winchester, or Rory for short. As for the bastard who led this unprovoked attack, his ass is grass!"
"We know, Dean," said Ben as he was there with the rest of the unit. "I got word from the Shigan Government in which the fucker who caused this attack goes by the name of Jacob Doran and he's been on their shit list since his failed assassination attempt on the Empress last month. As for his group, they go by the name of Zenith Vectors in which they believe in human supremacy while they see all other humanoids as inferior to them. The man is dangerous and the rest of the Order should know about it."
"Please see that they do…"
Dean saw a Medical Corps ship arriving to assess the damage as he was distraught over Magda's death. He was also wanting revenge for what happened here in which he vowed to take down Jacob Doran when he sees him again, for this wasn't over yet...
Present day…
It had been three days after the Hand of Midas was brought back to the Order's main archives as I was at the citadel where Dean and his unit were at. Everyone was hard at work with their training as I went into the main hall of the citadel in which I noticed my older brother sitting there by the window. Even though I was trying to mediate into preventing him from becoming more depressed than normal, he still stuck to his guns as he vowed to never marry again after Magda's death. What I also sensed was that he feared Margo's wrath more than being under the microscope as I spotted him wearing Magda's wedding ring around his neck, for he was adamant into not caving into marriage anytime soon.
"If you're wanting to know that I'm fine, I feel at ease here," he said.
"You don't look fine, Dean," I said. "I know that you lost Magda in which you want justice once you track down her killer."
"The bastard and his group are far away, Sam. I can't track them down yet."
"If we get a chance, we'll find them, but for now, I suggest that you stop worrying too much and take a break. There's Ravenna to consider and she's been wondering if you could go with her on a date."
"What? You playing matchmaker now? I told you guys before in which I still won't marry again after all that has happened. Magda's gone and she is never coming back."
I watched Dean leave the main hall as he went to his room in which he sat on the bed that was more fancy than military grade. He didn't want to get suckered into a relationship after Magda's death as he dug out the shirt that he won at the "Raise the Steaks!" competition at the time. The shirt itself reminded him of how Magda wore it as he clutched it closely in which he was also remembering that tragic day that she lost her life. He heard her words clearly as the sight of her cut open and bleeding out unnerved him, for he could never forget what happened when Jacob Doran broke into the base in the Dabb Mountains on Shiganshina at the time.
"You have to go after him, Dean! You have to rescue our boy!"
"I'm so sorry for not being there for you," he said to himself as he continued to clutch at the "Raise the Steaks!" t-shirt. "I should've stopped that deranged bastard when I had the chance! If you were still alive, none of this would've happened! From now on, as the gods and the Matriarch are my witnesses, I will never marry again! I don't want another wife to be a replacement for Magda! All I want is justice for what Jacob Doran and his group did to her and my unit and I will have it, even if it means by destroying my reputation in the process!"
"You can't ignore what's put in front of you, Dean," said a familiar face as he appeared out of nowhere. "Magda would've wanted you to be happy instead of being trapped in a web of sadness of your own making. It's not right and it isn't healthy to do so."
It was Castiel as he was there on business in which he was also aware of Dean's plight. He also remembered what happened at the base in the Dabb Mountains on Shiganshina as he was aware of the Zenith Vectors and their long thirst for domination over all humanoids by subjugating most of the humans against their wishes. He remembered Jacob Doran as he was none other than a human supremacist in which he also selected those who had fair skin instead of the rest. The sight of the Zenith Vectors made him aware of such barbarism that other humans have caused on Earth as he also didn't want them to cause widespread harm to the rest of the humanoids who lived all over the Ashizoka System, for he had his fair share of dealing with hate groups in the past.
"I'm sorry for your loss, Dean," he said. "Jacob Doran may be still at large, but he can't run away from justice forever. Magda didn't deserve to die when the Zenith Vectors invaded your base in which they also bore a grudge against the Tang Family for their efforts into stopping the culling of other humanoids who lived on Rietza at the time."
"What are you talking about?" he asked.
"A few years ago, the Tang Family were tasked to sheltering some of the refugees who fled from a blight on Rietza known as the Wasting. What is the Wasting? It is a blight that mercilessly dries parts of Rietza in which it leaves irreparable dry patches in its wake. The Tang Family at the time were busy tending to the refugees who lost their homes due to such a blight on the planet, but one man refused to budge and let them stay in the Tang homestead."
"It was Jacob Doran, isn't it?"
"He was a man who came from a rich family who lived in the Rietzan region of Hydranar in which they held sway in the planet's politics. When the Wasting entered and caused widespread chaos in the form of famine and pestilence, chaos spread like wildfire. When the refugees were helped by the Tang Family, everyone was relieved that they were there except for Jacob Doran, who wanted the refugees to stay put and die in their homes due to the plan that he wanted. One night Doran went towards a group of refugees and killed them with a poison gas in which he tried to blame it on their saviors, only to have them banish him from Rietza directly. Years later, he vowed to bring his 'grand plan' to fruition in which he also swore revenge on the Tang Family for banishing him in the first place."
"And he went after Magda all 'cause her family caught him in the act when he killed a few refugees…" Dean clenches his fists as he was more angrier than normal. "He went after Magda just to get back at her family for kicking him out of Rietza and for what?! They made the right call to banish that son-of-a-bitch after what he pulled. All I know is that his so-called 'grand plan' only has humans that look like him, not those with different ethnicities, religion, sexual orientation, or skin color. Jacob Doran will get what's coming to him, even if it meant by having him getting turned into a pincushion."
It wasn't long until Dean heard footsteps approaching in which he went to the door to his room and opened it up. When he went into the hall, he saw several members of the Rakuen Priesthood looking for him as he wasn't in the mood for their matchmaking tactics. He didn't feel like talking or dealing with them as he wanted them gone the moment he changed into his diamond form. He wasn't about to go down without a moral fight as he refused to concede to our methods into getting him to marry Ravenna right away. He never wanted it after he heard Margo telling her daughter to never marry after the death of her late husband as he vowed to remain widowed for the rest of his days, for he also didn't want to disrespect or dishonor Magda's memory to begin with.
"I don't want any visitors today!" he yelled as he was ready to throw a few projectiles at the members of the Rakuen Priesthood. "If you want me to marry again, the answer is no! You can't make me! I'll never bend the knee nor will I concede defeat after what happened!"
"You can't fight the decision, Dean," said Marthona as she walked towards him. "After what happened to Magda, you went on a downward spiral by drinking your sorrows instead of coping with healthy mechanisms."
"That's none of your business!"
"It is our business when you go downhill and rock bottom. No wonder Sam got pissed off at you when you messed up your car."
"Look! I made it clear that I won't date or marry another spouse again, you got that?! I have better things to do than worry about a replacement for Magda!"
It wasn't long until Marthona slapped Dean in the face as he returned to his normal form. She wasn't having it as she refused to budge in which my brother was refusing to marry again. It wasn't long until Dean left the citadel as he didn't want to hear the Rakuen Priesthood out the moment he saw Dahlia and Mizuki playing in the backseat of the Impala. He thought of them dearly as he remembered how proud he was to see them. Now, they remind him of what he lost as he felt more sadder than normal since Magda was no longer there. When he noticed Tansu carting Silas and Rory, they were there with her as they were enjoying the summer in which they also had their moments while they were in their stroller. He loved them all as they were his world in which they were also the next generation in his family as well. Still, he wanted to be there for them, but he refused to marry again as he vowed to never forget about Magda's memory, for he also wanted justice for her death as well. When he was about to return to the citadel, he saw Cynthia coming as she was worried about him in which she was ready to give him the worst ultimatum that he had to endure, for she had to get through to him before he went out of control.
"Looks like you're not doing too well, Dean," she said to him.
"If you're wanting me to hook up with Ravenna, then the answer is still no!" he yelled.
"I heard Sam telling me about how you were found in a bar with the Impala littered with trash the moment it later got cleaned up. I also know about how Magda was killed in which the scumbag who did it is still at large and extremely dangerous."
"You're in on this crap, aren't you?! Magda was someone dear to me and no one will ever replace her! I told everyone before, I won't marry again, is that understood?! Why can't you get it or are you too brain dead to realize it?!"
"You listen here, Dean!" Cynthia wasn't budging as she refused to let him fall further into deeper despair. "We get it that you won't marry again, but we're not brain dead! Therefore, there's a Draaza woman with two children that lost her husband in which she still feels in the same boat as you do. I'm telling you this: you either hook up with Ravenna or else I'll have Reuben take your children away! You can't do this to them! Your children need a mother, Dean! You can't let them get out of control like this in which it's unhealthy to have a single parent raising a child due to what they're subjected to in their young lives. Which is it, Dean? Having to hook up with Ravenna or having your children taken away?"
Dean had no other choice but to bend the knee as he didn't want to agree with hooking up with Ravenna in the first place. He also didn't want to contend with another bout of Margo's insults as he had no other choice but to concede defeat and move on in which he spotted Ravenna walking towards the citadel. He was making the best of it not to talk to her as he didn't want anything to do with the predicament that he had. He also had to deal with Cynthia's warning as he didn't want to lose his children after enduring a loss in which he spotted Ravenna's sons there near the Impala, for they were happy to see it out in the open. He was eager to shoo them away, but he didn't have the heart to do it, for he was backed in a corner when it came to matters of the heart…
Ravenna was busy in the infirmary wing tending to some of her patients as she was more than likely to be roped into the proposal that was put in front of her. Still, she didn't let Margo's words get to her as she tried hard not to let them be taken to heart. She was still shaken about Margo's conduct as she spotted her standing in a corridor. She didn't want her to ruin her day as she also wanted to visit Dean at the citadel in the Inland District. Just as she was about to leave the infirmary wing, she noticed Margo blocking her path as she refused to allow her to go anywhere, for she wasn't about to let her move freely. When she left to the back door of the infirmary wing, she heard footsteps following her as Margo wasn't about to let her go out of her sight, for she didn't want her to go anywhere except for being there for her whims.
"You're starting to piss me off, Mum," she said as she was getting testy.
"You're going to the citadel again, aren't you?" said Margo.
"You have no right to do this to me! I have a life, too! I don't want you to ruin it for me!"
"Sooner or later, you'll find out that your future husband is still married to his late wife and will never let her go. One day, you'll find out that I've been right all along and you'll be coming back to me so that you will adhere to the same traditions barring us from taking another spouse again."
"They're your traditions, Mum, not mine!"
"They're your traditions, too, Ravenna. I decide what you do with your life and if you even go towards your future husband, you can kiss your sons goodbye because you won't see them again. They will be at our homestead on Essos in which they will be taught under strict—"
It wasn't long until Ravenna slapped Margo in the face as she was getting fed up with her constant bullying. She also had to protect her sons as she also didn't want them to have their lives constricted too much. She was putting her foot down as she refused to listen to Margo's harsh words and fervent advocation of the outdated traditions that the McLaren Clan had over the years. When she went out the door, she didn't look back as Margo was left there reeling from the slap that she got, for she overstayed her welcome at both Skald Island and her own family as well.
"You'll regret going to Dean, my daughter!" she yelled. "He will break your heart! It's not too late to dump him while he's down! If you marry him, you will be put into a coffin and carted away into the sea! You will be brokenhearted when he sees you with him, mark my words!"
Ravenna ignored Margo's words as she went outside so she wouldn't hear her brazen toxicity. She finally put her foot down as she was also wanting to have a life that is meant to have her moving forward than be steeped in misery after the passing of her husband. She was starting to fall in love with Dean as she refused to let him go, for she wanted to heal his broken heart in return as well…
I was on the beach as I saw Aora and Ghimru collecting sand dollars and seashells as usual. Still, I felt concerned for Dean as I also had a gut feeling that he would reject Ravenna and continue his downward spiral of grief and sadness. When I gathered up Aora and Ghimru, I led them to the castle as I noticed them going to the kitchen to wash their hands just in time to get a snack before dinner. I didn't mind them being resilient as I also had to go towards the citadel to make sure that Dean wasn't doing his damnedest to reject the love of another after Magda's death. When left the castle and went to where I needed to get to, I saw Dean sitting next to the Impala as he was still fiddling with Magda's wedding ring that he wore around his neck. I had a gut feeling that he would reject Ravenna outright as he was also trying to get out of what was put in front of him, for he had no other choice but to adhere to it against his wishes.
"I know what you're gonna say, but I can't back out on it, Sam," he said to me.
"You still won't marry again, will you?" I said.
"I never asked for this! Still, I see Ravenna coming and going here, but I don't want to pay any attention to her. No, I can court her, but I won't marry her. And if I don't even pay a shred of attention to her, Cynthia is threatening to take away the kids if I don't do this. If Magda were still alive, then—"
"That's enough!" I was putting my foot down as I was ready to put Dean in his place. "You weren't the only one who lost someone in which Minara also lost loved ones in which he even craved vengeance against Julilla for doing the cruel deed. Ravenna also lost her husband to prostate cancer in which she's stuck in the opposite when her mother is threatening to take away her sons if she tried to marry again."
"It's not gonna matter anyway 'cause I can't be anywhere without being under the microscope of being judged."
"Ravenna is a good match for you, Dean. And another thing, you're already married to her anyway in which it's better than having Cynthia threatening to take your children away." I fish out a marriage license as I had no other choice but to wed my brother by proxy to Ravenna on the spot. "I can't let you spend the rest of your days drinking your sorrows away in some backwater bar. Besides, Margo doesn't bend the rules here because of the fact that her daughter doesn't have to listen to her just like the King of the Grey Havens not doing the same with a certain pest in his cage."
"Why do you have to do this to me, Sam?"
"It's best because it's better than having you cranky all the time. No matter how hard you try to fight it, you can't just run away from what's put in front of you. Both you and Ravenna have lost loved ones in which you two can't stay apart from each other. It's the most I can do for you, which is better than getting plastered at some dilapidated bar that stinks of stale beer."
"It's more like your past self after he lost his girlfriend in which mine had the gall to set him up on a date while dealing with a spirit in a painting in the Elder Days."
"There you are!"
Ravenna spotted Dean sitting next to the Impala as she had her reasons to keep him from being cranky. When she saw him fiddling with Magda's wedding ring, she was trying hard not to believe Margo until she saw him get up on his feet and began to hug her warmly. He was now heeding my words carefully as he also had to heal the broken heart that he had in which he also gained someone who was desperate to defy her mother and prove her wrong, for she wanted to move on after the loss of her own spouse. Still, I was watching in the distance as I didn't want to interfere with matters of the heart for too long, for I wanted Dean to recover from the heartache he endured and get justice for Magda's death in the process.
"I want you with me, Ravenna," he said to her. "I know about how you and your kids still live in fear of your mother in which she's on the verge of getting kicked out for her constant attacks towards us."
"I never meant to slap her, but she had it coming," she said. "She still refuses to let me marry you in which she's threatening to take away Revata and Rohidra if I didn't break off our courtship."
"It's the same with me in reverse and if I don't get with you, then Cynthia will take away my kids if I don't clean up my act. I already went down that rabbit hole of sadness in which if Sam hadn't found me there, I would've been in more despair than what I endured."
"I hear you there in which I'm also part of the Medical Corps just to take care of patients who come and go. I also heard that you have a little baby in your care."
"Yeah…, Rory had it rough when Doran and his group burst into our base on Shiganshina in which he nearly lost his life until Desna saved him. He lived off of formula from the Medical Corps, but he's also being constantly watched after what nearly happened to him."
"I hope that he'll be fine once I examine him. He's also getting some extra brothers to help him as well."
Dean spotted Revata and Rohidra staring at the Impala as they were looking at the interior of it while they stared at the toy army man shoved into the ashtray. They never saw anything like it before as they were happy to get someone who loved their mother more than what was under the microscope, for this was a new beginning that cemented what was about to happen next…
The next morning, Ravenna was up in her quarters as she was ready to start the day by going towards the citadel to start her new life with Dean. After getting a shower and brushing her teeth earlier, she was dressed in her summer clothes as she left the bathroom and was ready to gather up her sons. By the time she got to their room, she noticed that they were gone as she found their beds empty and made up as if nothing happened. She was starting to get scared for them as she also noticed that their clothes and toys were intact in which she had a gut feeling that Margo would stop at nothing to derail her happiness. It wasn't long until she found a note on the floor as it was a word of warning. Picking it up, she saw that it was from Margo as she wasn't lying about taking her sons away, for she had to find them before they left Valinor.
"I warned you that I would take them from you! You should've listened to your mother when you had the chance and now it's too late. I'm taking your sons away from you and you will never see them again!"
Ravenna was scared to death for her sons' lives as she had to go to the citadel right away. She had no other choice but to break up with Dean as she wanted to get her sons back from Margo's clutches before it was too late. Rushing out of the castle, she had to find them as she also didn't want her mother to intervene in her further future happiness, for the lives of her sons were on the line right now…
Margo was at a beach as she had Revata and Rohidra in tow. She was getting fed up with Ravenna for not listening to her as she had no other choice but to do the worst act imaginable. She kidnapped her grandsons as she led them towards a coffin near the shore. Opening it up, she was ready to put them in there as a way of getting back at their mother for not breaking off her courtship with Dean, for she wasn't about to let her live her own life.
"What's with the coffin?" asked Revata.
"It's a compartment for you and your brother to hide in," said Margo.
"No, Mommy said that most of our clan died in those for no reason!" yelled Rohidra.
"Get in the coffin, NOW!"
"Mommy! Help us!"
"Your mum should've never found love after the death of your father! She made her choice, for she will think that I will take you to Essos. I'm sure that she'll come to her senses and dump the excess trash she's been shacked up with!"
It wasn't long until Margo shoved Revata and Rohidra into the coffin as she shoved it further into the sea. She watched it go further away in the waves as it began to sink, for she has won against Ravenna in the end…
The coffin that Revata and Rohidra were in sank to the bottom of an unknown place as it was later being lifted up by someone who was a humanoid/snake hybrid. When it was brought to a dry spot amid the underwater floor, the coffin was opened as the boys were unharmed the moment they saw their savior change back into a familiar humanoid form the moment she fished out her talisman to see what was going on, for she noticed Margo on the beach with a smile on her face. She also noticed Ravenna running to the beach as she faced her mother in which she fell to her knees with tears in her eyes, for she thought that her boys were gone for good.
"Seto's gonna be pissed that Margo pulled that crap…," she said as she put away her talisman.
"What is this place?" asked Revata as he saw the cave that blended with a ship.
"This happens to be the wreckage of a Va'Kihri ship in the time of the Dark Awakening. They also had a lot of experience going up against a sealed monster in the center of this archipelago."
"You know a lot about old junk ships, don't you?" said Rohidra.
"For the record, my name's Nibori T'Chauli and I'm a member of the Order of Letters who was scouted out after what happened to me on the Doohan three years ago. As for my knowledge of ships, this wreckage was old, but some of this tech here also dealt with the usual lore that was spotted in the Elder Days."
"What's the Elder Days?" asked Revata.
"The Elder Days were a time that the Winchesters of Old had their adventures in the form of saving people, hunting things, and upholding the family business. Besides, family doesn't end with blood anyway."
Without warning, there was something swimming in the distance as Nibori got out the Phoenix Blades and went back in the water where her legs became a snake-like mass just to traverse underneath. When she swam further, she noticed me there as I was in my underwater form looking for Ravenna's sons in which I had a gut feeling that Margo pulled a terrible move to punish her in the first place. Still, I couldn't let Revata and Rohidra fall victim to Margo's whims as they were in grave danger, for I also had to act once I found the coffin that they were in.
"Sam?! What the hell?!" cried Nibori as she spotted me there.
"I sensed that Margo pulled a dick move on Ravenna by taking her sons, but putting them in a coffin to die?"
"They're with me and they're safe after what I saw earlier. As for the clunker that I found, it's been embedded in rock, but it's dry as a bone inside due to the Va'Kihri tech that kept everything intact."
"That's good to hear, but after what happened, I have no other choice but to banish Margo for what she did."
"I know that she's no Mother of the Year, but punishing her daughter by sending her grandkids to a watery grave? That's beyond the pale."
"Any old tech you salvaged?"
"Yeah, but it's in the ship where the kids are."
"I have an idea…"
Nibori and I swam towards the old Va'Kihri ship where Ravenna's sons were at the moment we reverted to our normal forms. When I spotted the coffin, I noticed some old scrap that was bagged up as I decided to put it into the coffin the moment I sealed it up. When Nibori spotted an inflatable device, she placed it on the coffin as she activated it the moment it floated upwards out of the cave and straight to the surface. Still, I had to get everyone out of the underwater junkyard as I later noticed a shuttle that was intact as I gathered everyone into it and turned it on. Luckily, the cargo bay was wide open as we got out of the water and up to the surface in which we were there to finally put Margo in her place once and for all, for Dean and Ravenna deserved happiness more than anything right now…
Ravenna saw Margo on the beach as she was smiling at her triumph. She was desperate enough to find her sons as she also wanted to question her mother about what happened earlier in which she wanted them alive and safe from harm. Still, Margo didn't budge as she finally basked in the victory that she had, for it was the typical coup de grace in this debacle.
"Where are they?!" she yelled.
"They're on a ship to Essos," said Margo.
"You're lying! Where are my sons?!"
"You'll never see them again, daughter! I warned you not to get too frisky with Dean Winchester in which you're being punished for disobeying your mother!"
"Margo!"
Dean ran towards the beach as he was concerned about the safety of Ravenna's sons. When he saw the coffin that Margo put them in, it floated to the shore as he rushed towards it while he pried it open. What he noticed were two bags of old scrap as they were mainly from Va'Kihri tech in which it was a lot older than anything. When he saw a shuttle fly from the water and straight to a different part of the beach, it landed in a clearing as he spotted me and Nibori with the boys in which he was glad that they were unharmed, for he also had a bone to pick with Margo after all that has happened earlier. Even Ravenna was happy that they were safe as she sprinted towards them and hugged them warmly, for they were alive that's what mattered the most.
"Thank the Matriarch you're alive!" she cried as she was shedding tears of joy.
"Miss Nibori saved us," said Revata.
"Thank you…" Ravenna looks at Nibori as she was glad that someone was there to save her sons from a watery grave. "I thought I lost them forever..."
"There's a Va'Kihri ship down there," she said. "Thankfully, I not only found some old scrap, but I found two little Draaza munchkins down there. It's ironic that I found them in that coffin, but at least they're safe."
"You did good down there," said Dean.
"At least I knew where I could find them all and the shuttle that was down there," I said.
"Thank you, all of you," said Ravenna.
Everyone was glad that Revata and Rohidra were alive and safe as Margo was trying to make a run for it. Unfortunately, her escape proved fruitless as she was stopped by members of the Order in which she had a pair of handcuffs on her wrists while being escorted into a ship that was near the beach. Still, karma caught up to a very prideful woman like Margo as we all were glad that she got her comeuppance in the end. As for Dean and Ravenna, however, they were staring at each other as they now had something to live for in which they also had hope for the future, for this was a new beginning for them both.
To be continued...
