A scene opens up as Atomsk waits patiently for TME to show up.
TME than walked in after he knocked on the door.
"Yo, sorry for being late, had to post that Nicole Damage control story." TME said while he cracks his neck.
"No worries man. Better late than never. Ready to get started on my new project?" Atomsk said with an excited look.
"Yup, just to make sure though… you sure you want to do this… means another new story and more old ones pile up on the older line." TME said while he grins, he was feeling good about this but wanted to let Atomsk know that if they work on this for a bit, some stories would have to be on the backburner for a bit.
Atomsk was thoughtful.
"I'm willing to take the risks. Besides, we both agreed I need to reach your level. Can try and do old ones in between new projects.
"Maybe, considering things we could work on this story for a few chapters and we maybe work on TDS's final fantasy Arc for a few chapters in exchange?... we go back and fourth and stuff but unless we work on TDS more, would be hard to use DDS stories since we would be making an A and C moment but no B moment, know what I mean?" TME said while he rubs his chin.
Atomsk didn
"Sounds fair. Need to give TDS some stuff too."
"Nice, anyway lets get in this coma story for Cedric." TME said while Cedric behind the camera.
"Wait what!?" Cedric starts to say but the scene went into the story a moment later.

You look at a white room with machines beeping and they we're connected to blue fur mobian.
A nurse enters to check on him until…
The wolf mobian starts groaning in his sleep till his eyes opens and sits up, startling the nurse.
"Oh my!… He's awake!" The nurse calls out.
Thats when a person rushed in and it was a female wolf mobian… she looked rather young, around 18 or so while two older Mobian wolves rushed in, older looking but still decently good for their age as they watched the wolf mobian man open his eyes slowly while his vision was blurry for a moment but as he blinks his eyes and got used to the light and stuff… well he managed to get his vision cleared as the three wolf mobians near the one in the bed look at him with wide excited eyes.
"W-Where am I?" The mobian said.
"Well Cedric… you've been in a coma for years, your in the Acorn Hospital, just in case you have short term memory loss, this hospital was funded by the Acorn family years ago and since you missed it, Sonic, your friend and rival in speed married Sally Acorn and had some kids, you were in a coma for about… well… about 5 or so years… today should be the end of the 5th year exactly." The Elder male mobian wolf said while he looks at the now identified Cedric with a relieved look.
However, Cedric's eyes widened.
"5 Years?! How is it… I must've hit my head or something… someone get me Emerald so he can explain." He said.
"Emerald?... uhhh… bro?... I think you may have been dreaming… only gem guy I know of is a guy named Obsidion I have been hanging with occasionally, human like dude and stuff… in case you forgot, I'm Eruru man… little sister to you?... mom and Dad here had to carry you into the hospital when you were bloody and injured after some kind of fight and you muttered something like… Tasogaki or something like that?... been so long that I can't remember fully… was like 13 or so." Eruru said when she rubs her head a bit.
Cedric was more shocked.
"Dad's alive? I thought he died."
The wolf man, named Juan, gave Cedric a half lidded look.
"OK… not sure what kind of dreams you had but could you at least not try and kill me off?... anyway I'll be right back, going to get a doctor to do some checkups on you Cedric and get you something to drink, you'll probably have to do rehab since you have been in bed for 5 years, even with people moving limbs for you, you'll still have to get used to walking again and stuff." Juan said as he looks at the wolf woman.
"Better make sure he knows the difference between dreams and reality by asking questions and stuff if he made up some kind of dream world and is having a shell shock kind of moment Emelina." Juan said as he got up, cracked his neck and walked out of the room while muttering stuff like he couldn't believe his son dreamt he was dead.
Cedric was confused.
"I'm so confused, I remember burglars and Dad tried to save me when I lost control of my power and he died."
"Huh?... what are you talking about?... with the job dad has, people would have to have a deathwish to try and steal from us…. Right mom?" Eruru said while she looks at Emelina.
Emelina nods her head as Cedric was confused.
"What job did he have again?"
"Well he retired recently after training a replacement but he used to work with the Royal guard as a trainer of new recruits for the guards of the Royal Acorn family." Emelina said while she smiles at Cedric, she was happy to explain things since Cedric would probably have issues with memory.
Cedric blinks a bit before rubbing his head.
"That's right… I remember that part." Cedric said as he tried piece together things.
"How did I go into a coma again?"
"Well its been a long time but I don't know… from what we saw you were with a group of 7 people who you were friends with were hurt but not as injured as you, its like you overused your power and shocked yourself from the inside out somewhat… no one gave many details since many were in injured states but they healed long ago besides you until now." Emelina said while she had a hand on her cheek.
This made Cedric blink a bit before remembering something.
"That's right… Band of 7… we tasked to stop…" He said growling in anger.
"Tasogare."
"Tasogare?... band of 7?... you sure you're OK bro?" Eruru said while she reminds Cedric that if 5 years passed, Eruru would be 13 at the time, not knowing of the band of seven, Emelina may not know, since from what she said, either she didn't know the band of seven work Cedric did because of the secrecy, or if she knew of the ninja work, not of the band of 7 at least… no surprise there, in this world they were a secretive group who were like superman in how they handled their lives… everyday or somewhat average lives by day, super ninjas and warriors by night or unless called by the King or Queen of Acorn.
Cedric shook his head.
"You were young sister so you don't know but I remember that we were meant to stop this evil echidna name Tasogare who was gonna try and take over our world."
Eruru just raised an eyebrow as she rolls her eyes.
"That dream thing must be messing with you… anyway I'll be checking on Dad for now and if he is busy, get you something to drink, maybe some water will help you stop that dream stuff…" Eruru said before she walked out while chalking up that Tasogare stuff as Cedric having an hallucination and after she left, Emelina sighs.
"Cedric, coma or not, you gotta remember that the ninja work you do for the Acorn family… or did until you recover and get back your strength is not well known to many for secretive and protective reasons… honestly I was tempted into knocking Eruru out and making sure she doesn't remember this since powers aside that she has similar to yours she is not ready for that kind of info… trust me Cedric if you forgot… secret band of 7 that not even Juan can control is given authority for a reason, however there are 3 things you should know since you were in a coma for 3 years… one… a new trained fighter took your place in the Band of 7 so he would be your arms and legs until you recover… can't be a Band of 7 if one of the members were knocked out for 5 years." Emelina said while she had a serious look on her face when she was serious and meant business.
Cedric nods his heads.
"I understand mom." He said.
"Good… believe it or not, its actually that Obsidian boy that Eruru hangs out with sometimes… she doesn't know but Obsidian was asked by Juan to protect her in case Tasogare tried to come after her to get to you…. He actually tried and Obsidian nearly got killed protecting Eruru… large scar from one side of his chest to his lower stomach… honestly Obsidian may not be the strongest being new compared to you and the other original 7… but he is durable compared to some and has a unique power to manipulate some kind of energy that we can't classify as an element, makes him not strong or weak against elemental users." Emelina said when she made a gesture over her left breast where the scar that would be mentioned on Obsidian's chest and went all the way down to her lower right stomach as an example… honestly if it was scarred its a wonder how that Obsidian guy survived.
Cedric was surprised when he heard that.
"Dang… seems I owe Obsidian big time for saving Eruru."
"Actually you may take that one back soon since Eruru is planning on asking Obsidian out and stuff… guy had to jump before an attack right before her so pretty much became her prince charming and stuff, honestly sometimes it gets annoying that she just doesn't take him to the woods or a room and just do the deed… honestly when I was trained in seduction and you took lessons from one of my friends… you were not this bad… than again Eruru wasn't trained to be a Ninja like you or even a fighter… granted with proper training, could do a lot but in this peaceful time aside some stuff for secrecies sake, not much to do combat wise lately." Emelina said while she rubs her head.
Cedric blinks a bit when heard that.
"I'll let it slide… for now since I just woke up. Though… that wasn't the third thing… right?"
"I'm not even on the second thing since I had to explain somethings with Eruru and stuff to make sure you remember… 2… currently Sonic and Sally Acorn are married so you pretty much work for them once you recover unless you want to change jobs, currently things are going well lately so combat may not be needed but just in case once your fully recovered, you'll be getting a light training regime to test how well your body can do… finally there is something you should know… you know that talk long ago before this coma thing about us looking into some old family stuff with your ancestor Korbek?" Emelina said while she had a serious look on her face.
Cedric's eyes widened.
"Y-You mean it's finally happening?"
"Indeed… thanks to your father's work we located the general area of Korbek's resting grounds and treasure horde, at least thats what those notes say… knowing Korbek he is just fibbing things up a bit to make it seem more grand than it is… we thought it was bunk at first but… we found something that proves Korbek's resting grounds exist… we found his legendary blade… its a bit weathered but thanks to some blacksmith we know to trust to keep quiet about repaired it… we matched some things on the blade proving that the place exists and that with the right clues the blade gave us, we greatly cut down on the location to a general area… you can look at the stuff later but that should give you plenty of reason to power through your rehab… you may not know it but right now your skin and bones from being in bed for 5 years… no treasure hunt for you for awhile mister… I'll give Kyra a call and let her know your awake, she will be happy to see you since she visited your room daily to look after you… we may have a thing where males in the family can have many women but you better make sure Kyra is your first or so help me I'll put you in another 5 year coma." Emelina said with a smirk as she got up and got ready to leave the room to leave Cedric alone.
Cedric did jolt before having this thought.
'Tasogare's alive and Kyra didn't leave… but 5 year coma… that means…' He thought before looking at his mom.
"Mom." He called her.
Emelina blinks when she opened the door.
"Hmm?" Emelina said while she looks back at Cedric.
"So this coma… Anything I thought I did… didn't happen?"
"Hmmm?... not sure what you mean, you have been pretty much been asleep in the hospital occasionally had your arms and legs moved by doctors but thats about it." Emelina said before she exits the room fully, pretty much telling Cedric that he never left his home… no Angel City… all those adventures… all those lessons… a dream?
'That means they don't exist… Emerald… Lillum… Cream… Rachel… Azure.' The second Cedric thought of them, he let out a tear that went to his hand.
Honestly there were others like Daniel, Frost, Rose, Demonga, and many many others, way too many to list… but 5 years… all of those adventures… all the friends, lovers, teachers he made along the way… pretty much all gone as far as Cedric was aware.
'Why?… why take away my paradise? I want it back!' He thought as he starts crying.
However no matter how much he wanted it, even trying to nap, he couldn't get the dreams to kick back on again… all in all as time passed to a bit later, one thing was sure to many… Cedric was damn well depressed for awhile… he stayed strong though but he really was down about stuff more or less.
Some of Cedric friends, who were happy to see him, were wondering why and his family were worried. They can tell he was in pain.
So far, Cedric decided to take a walk in the woods to be alone.
Though ironically enough, seems fate had interesting plans for Cedric, as he was looking at the sky… he walked into something hard and stone like in the middle of the forest falling on his ass… at this point in time half a year passed since his rehab was complete though he was far from being at 100% again… still for self defense and to help guard it… Juan gave Cedric Korbek's blade and it was holstered on his side… it looked to be a odd blade… had two handles that somehow connected to one another with two blades interlocked to form some kind of dual sided blade though the middle part of the weapon was pretty much gone… either way as Cedric rubs his head and groans, he looks up and saw some old ruined like structures… however… his eyes widened when he saw them… to those in this dimension they were just random gibberish… but to Cedric funnily enough… they looked straight up Echidian, and I mean REALLY old echidna language, something people like Kyra the Echidna back in town had no idea about… and she was knowledgeable as heck about echidna culture, just not this far back.
"Damn… don't know how but… this could mean something… I should definitely bring Kyra here just in case." Cedric said.
Still a few words did ring out to Cedric called vault… location… heart of woods…. Key needed…
"Shit… somehow I need a key but where can I find it?… Korbek… give your descendant a sign or something." Cedric said.
Funnily enough… Cedric did remember something from one of his *Dream* as Emerald's voice seemed to echo in his head.
"Remember Cedric, sometimes the key to a dungeon is closer than you may expect, after all if a person made the dungeon, they should have made a key… all you need is something key like or even a blade may do." Emerald's voice said making Cedric remember he had one thing of Korbek's right on his very person.
Cedric blinks when he 'remembered' that saying.
"No way." He said before looking at his family blade for a moment…
"Real or not… gotta try." He said before bringing out the sword.
When he did… some hidden runes seemed to shine on the blade itself for a moment as hidden runes just saying northwest in Echidnian were seen… like the sword showed a clue and no one found it thanks to them trying to keep the sword safe in town.
"Northwest?… but what?… is it a direction?" Cedric said as he thought of this carefully.
Honestly anything could happen but considering the direction of the sun and stuff, Cedric decided to follow his gut as he walked northwest while feeling both a feeling of giddiness… and a sick feeling in his gut… he wasn't sure why but if his dreams were not real… how would he know Echidian?
Cedric wondered about this as he followed the path alone with a determined look.
When he walked in the direction… he found another stone that led him to the north… than northeast… east… southeast… south… southwest… and finally west which… oddly enough brought him back to where he started?
"What the… was I lead in a circle?" Cedric said as he was not liking this.
As he pulled out the blade again and frowns at it… he suddenly jolts when… energy seemed to form in the middle of the blade of all things and the stone object he was at had more runes in some kind of reaction… maybe the other stone objects Cedric found were triggers he had to go over… funnily enough when he thought about the directions… didn't the shape he walked was like one of the Chaos Emerald's patternwise?
"Like a Chaos Emerald." Cedric said as he thought to try again and see if the energy got stronger.
When Cedric used his electric power the sword surged with a blue energy but when he did the stone seemed to react… but nothing else happened… Cedric in a curious stand brough the blade over and touched the rock to see if anything would happen though…
The rock cracked in many places in some kind of pattern but… it shattered and even the pieces of rock broke down though not in an electric attack kind of way… like it was made to do that though Cedric thinking he just busted the one chance of having the Korbek vault if it existed showed to him…
"Damn it. There goes my chance. Unless breaking the stones was the key." Cedric said.
Funnily enough a rumbling was felt and not just around Cedric… many at Cedric's hometown… well…
"W-What the hell!?" A Monkey Mobian said though the rumbling made a large sign from a shop fall… on a cart of cabbages.
"AH!... MY CABBAGES!" The Monkey mobian yelled as he fell to his knees in shock.
"Earthquake!" One rabbit mobian said in panic.
Though just as fast as it came, the quakes stopped while many look confused but relieved… aside a Cabbage stand being destroyed nothing else seemed off…
Back with Cedric…
He had wide eyes when he saw nearby a massive temple that looked like a mix of a pyramid and had many pillars around it… 7 to be exact… this can't be a coincidence… Chaos Emerald imagry… 7 pillars… his dreams… honestly he was both excited… yet terrified… if his dreams were real… than why was he taken away?
"J-Just like the ones in Angel City! But why now?!" Cedric said as he was only talking to himself.
Cedric than walked towards the ruins while conflicting thoughts were in his head… half light… half dark…
"Is… is this even real?" One part of Cedric throught as a darker side of him spoke.
"If it is, it's a cruel prank given what happened to me.." Cedric's darker thoughts said… and unlike that Hollow side or Darkside his dream self had… these thoughts were fully his own.
Cedric ventured deep in the ruins while checking his surroundings for traps… or something else.
Though seems with the sword in hand, if Cedric came by traps they either activated long before he could get to them making a path show for Cedric or not activate at all… in no time… he was in a large tomb like area but… it was oddly empty… well… aside some kind of large throne with a wolf mobian skeleton on it with a REALLY old looking book in the skeletons lap.
Cedric was surprised and confused.
"Don't know why there was an empty tomb but…" He said before cautiously approaches the throne to get a good look at the skeleton.
When he did… the skeleton though well aged had a aged ruined outfit… almost like a pirates… but the book looked older… so much so yet… when Cedric picked it up… the book seemed almost pristine when Cedric wiped dust off it showing it was much more than just a simple book if time seemed to have no effect on it and when Cedric saw the title in an odd language yet looked to be so familiar to him… all he saw was one word as the Skeleton seemed to smile thanks to Cedric taking the book made the skeleton look down a bit.
The Title of the book… Aura.
Cedric's eyes widened.
"It can't be. Can this even be real?" He said before opening the book.
When he opened the book… his eyes widened greatly… granted it was in an odd language he could understand but aside from it sounding really old schooled… Aura… Nen… Hatsu… Gyo… Ren… En… Zetsu… pretty much EVERYTHING Aura related was in it… even notes in english by Korbek himself… each page giving small details and part of the book in the back was blank which acted like Korbek's journal… and another half of blank pages were left open… honestly it was a shocker.
"I don't believe this!… Korbek was able to find Aura. But how?!" Cedric said as he had so much questions but one thing is certain…
"I maybe out of my coma but… if this is legit, I have a chance to relearn aura." He said.
Granted Cedric may have learned Aura in his dream but… it was a dream… info maybe helpful… hell if Cedric could use Aura he could use it rather damn well… but… one thing was clear as Cedric sat in front of the book on the ground.
"I-I can't use Aura with my nodes locked so how can I use Aura in the first place!?" Cedric mentally growls to himself… it was like reality was smacking him in the face… he had a new sword which still had the odd glows about it… he had the book which was most likely Korbek's treasure since with Aura one could live MUCH longer than they normally could, its like a freaking fountain of youth as long as one maintains their training… but without some serious training to even unlock aura or someone to unlock it as unlikely as that sounds… well this book may as well be just a fancy idea guide to him.
'Whatever obstacle I face… I can do this.' Cedric thought.
He did remember that thanks to one thing Emerald told him, aside training, it was also an inborn talent to be able to use Aura, so unless Cedric was lucky, he would have varying degrees of success is using Aura but that's for Future Cedric to worry about.
"Before I leave, better check to make sure there are no other treasures left behind." Cedric said as he looks around.
As he looks around, he saw that while the room was mostly empty… he did notice one thing that was odd about the room… the throne was… abnormally far from the wall for some reason.
This made Cedric raise an eyebrow as he approaches the wall and feels around it.
As he did… he felt the sword in its sheath oddly shake a bit for some reason.
Cedric was confused before believing it might mean something as he pulls out his sword.
When he did he saw the sword gave a similar glow to earlier, he saw runes similar to the rocks outside that broke when he touched the blade to the wall appeared… this made Cedric gulp but when he touched the blade to the wall… he saw a large passage appear when the rocks blocking the way appear before him, unless the sword was used, this would be a full on wall, no way to open it normally… guess it made sense this temple had secrets with how huge it was… and Cedric had the master Key if he could walk through the place without issues.
"Wow… sword that's also a key… almost getting a weird vibe from this." Cedric said before he goes through the passage.
As he did, granted he had to avoid a few traps here or there that malfunctioned from old age going off, seems even with the Master Key sword making it easier to get by, he would still have to be careful… though what he found inside of a hidden room was a treasure trove… not just in gold, jewels, and other artifacts… but when Cedric looked at a small orb… for some reason he was drawn to it like it was calling him.
Cedric was cautious though as he went to grab the orb.
When he did though… he was shocked, in a literal and metaphorical sense when a surge of something blasts through his body and he felt more alive than ever… a feeling he remembered fully when he was blasted back and after quickly getting up… he saw to his shock… Aura… like that orb was a catalyst and while Cedric was thrilled… he was also horrified when he remembered not only from his dreams but the book as well told him that if he didn't get this under control NOW… he would be deader than dead.
"Fuck!… I need to be calm. Can't forget the consequences of using Aura." Cedric said as he tries to be calm.
Thats when he heard Emerald's voice or memory in his mind.
"Well its because its easy to remember and compare Aura as water… Remember Cedric, think of Aura as a raging river… if aura in a normal person is like a dammed river breaking open full force… What you're doing is making a smaller and smaller path for the water to go and calm it… after that… focus on containing that small trickle so that it won't be an issue anymore… if you can picture something like that, you'll be able to keep your Aura in check… though until you can do it in your sleep I suggest you make sure you practice image training after so you won't have issues later." Emerald's memory said during one of Cedric's *Training days* when Cedric asked about that river metaphor.
Cedric closed his eyes and starts focusing on containing on that small part of Aura.
As Cedric did so… his Aura starts to turn from a raging flow to one that was more calm and controlled till finally… it stopped… thanks to him having a technical 5 years of image training, he more or less had good control theoretically of his aura… still if he let up a bit he would lose control… its one thing to actually have the knowledge in his head somehow but its another to put it in physical practice.
"Okay… I have to remember that having knowledge and controlling Aura are very different." Cedric said.
Still he felt excited since he now knew Aura again… still this caused a delayed shock moment since… if everything he knew was a dream… why did that work in reality if it was fake?... was it like those prophetic dreams Emerald had on Angel City but in this case an uber long tutorial as a way to prep him for the here and now?
"So confusing. Was this… Aura's way to help me find it?… or something else… I'm too afraid to find out now." Cedric said as he couldn't understand this predicament.
Still he could ignore this kind of thought for now… he had a uber base of a temple that could be used for training when he found more hidden rooms… now knew and could use Aura well, practice needed to help control it, but all in all, new weapon, place to train in peace, if no one else stumbles upon this, and best of all… dreams or not… if he remembered right he could be uber powerful compared to many who didn't know Aura yet and this could be good for training new people in Aura… if Angel City was a dream in Cedric's mind and this Aura stuff here was one hell of a coincidence… may as well make an Angel City varient or… Angel Temple more exact and make the dream a reality and have the Dream Cedric be the reality teacher like Emerald was in Cedric's dreams… made Cedric grin a bit when he thought it was ironically funny.
"Guess I'm the teacher now. Well Emerald… if you exist or not, I will make sure to pass the knowledge down and not let you down." Cedric said.
Meanwhile as Cedric got ready to train since master knowledge or not, Cedric would have to train himself first to make sure no one else died on him…
Unknown location…
"Hmmm?" A figure hummed with a silhouette as they approach a large shrine like area when they sensed something… but the scene went to Cedric after he trained hard for a few months to get used to keeping his Aura under control… before he did anything else, he just did image training with light jogs occasionally to help train his stamina since if he tried to actually use aura in fights… could accidentally kill himself and stuff…
Still in town he was MUCH faster even at a light jog which got a few peoples attention.
"Whoa!... ok thought Cedric was just woken from his hospital stay… granted been nearly a year but didn't really see him train much… still looks a bit like a twig yet seems faster than he usually is." A Bear mobian said while he was talking to an Echidna woman.
"What do you think Kyra?... think your boyfriend is doing much better?" The bear man said though he got slugged in the gut by the Echidna woman while she had a tick mark on her head as the bear man dropped to the ground.
"Idiot." The now identified Kyra said while the camera turned to her to get details of her looks.
She was a red echidna with the classic dreadlocks. She had a nice resemblance of Shade the Echidna but more different.
Granted she didn't wear some kind of power armor like Shade, had a more classic Echidna garb like Tikal somewhat, but was a shapely Echidna woman with C cup breasts, decent muscles, and what not showing she was a strong woman… granted the reason Kyra clocked the guy in the gut was because it sounded like the man was teasing Cedric for a bit and while Kyra was worried Cedric was pushing himself… well nuff said she was a childhood friend of Cedric, she and Cedric had crushes on one another and when Cedric was in a coma, Kyra only felt her feelings get stronger as she helped Cedirc occasionally… still she wanted to know whats up so she starts to follow Cedric during his jog so she could talk with him and what not.
Though it was a bit tricky as Cedric was fast even though it was light still.
Kyra was able to keep up easily though since fast or not for a jog, it was still a jog and Kyra wasn't one to shirk on training as she jogged next to Cedric.
"Hey Cedric, we need to talk." Kyra said when she was wanting to get right to the point and looks at Cedirc.
This made Cedric stop when he heard that before looking at Kyra.
"Sure Kyra. What is it?" He said.
"Simple, how are you getting so abnormally fast?... from what many saw you rarely trained once you got out of the hospital after rehab… granted you could be trying to recover slowly but the way you are jogging is not right since your way too fast for a simple jog… I nearly had to full on run to catch up and last I checked, before you went to the unknown woods, you normally lost a lot of breath from walking and what not but now you look like you're not even winded at all from past training sessions to try and get back in shape." Kyra said when she looks at Cedric stoically.
Cedric was quiet for a bit but felt he should tell Kyra the truth.
"I can tell you but first, there's something you have to see." He said before taking Kyra's hand.
Kyra raised an eyebrow but she trusted Cedric and walked where Cedric wanted if he wanted to lead her somewhere though for some reason didn't move yet.
That's when Cedric's eyes surprisingly glowed and then…
They teleported.
After they did, Kyra ended up in the temple with Cedric while she looks greatly surprised when she saw that they were now in a different location entirely… though given Kyra's stoic yet calm mind, she just looks at Cedric seriously.
"Explain." Kyra said when she saw many old Echidna languages she didn't recognize at all around her on various walls and pillars.
Cedric knew it was time.
