Her room was huge! The bed made even an alaska king bed look like a twin. Her guess was that the wings the males had, never vanished to allow a good back positional sleep. The wooden floor was warm under her feet when she took off her shoes then headed over towards the nightstand to take off her necklace to place it down on the polished wood. She then took out her moon necklace to replace it back around her neck before she frowned. Since the dress had no zipper, she took fistfulls of the skirt and pulled it up and over her head. It was a struggle but in the end, she figured it wouldn't come off without help.
With a huff, she took out both phones and tossed them onto the bed before she scanned the room. There was a fireplace on the other end of the room and a fur rug was lain between the bed and the wall. A door that lead to what she thought was the bathroom was slightly open yet she did not want to head into it just yet. The window was roughly the size of a double french door that was framed by velvet looking curtains. The view was glorious for it showed her the city that was lit by starlight and the moon. The entire room gave off log cabin vibes like the entire house had been. She noticed the cozy affect the bedroom was giving off and it settled upon her like a warm blanket.
She would have watched outside if it wasn't for the growing need to use the bathroom. When she pushed open the door, her eyes grew wide. The bathroom was bigger than her apartment! The bathtub was big enough for around six guys with enough room to be not questionable and the toilet was off on the other side. The sink and mirror was on the same wall as the toilet and she couldn't help but to admire the faelights. She was glad that the house had indoor plumbing after she used the bathroom and washed her hands.
Back in the room, she climbed onto the bed and groaned at how soft the blanket was on her hands and legs. No time to rest just yet, she took both phones and turned them on. No notices from either of them and the time and dates was wrong. They both said the time where they had from when they was in backyard. She tried to update the dates but to no avail. She knew her phone was nothing more than a fancy music list so she placed it down. His phone made her curious and so she started to go through it.
It was a few hours later and she was curled up with one of the pillows. Tears had dried on her face and her nose promised a day of a headache soon to come. She knew he only saw her as a temporary fling while he searched for another girlfriend but it still hurt. The patterning of getting one for a few months then going right back to her was in her face and she couldn't help but to glare at nothing. She sniffed loudly as she vowed to not take his bitching and pleas to go into his bed for some god awful sex. Instead, she filled her mind with the male with blue eyes. Hell, she didn't know his name and already, she oh so wished she paid more attention during dinner. Sleep soon overtook her and her dreams began.
Normally, her dreams never scared her but the muddled edges and unknown faces and creatures made her panic. Something came with them when they was transferred to Prythian and it wanted revenge. The male's skin was ashen and cracked like he got too much sun and his eyes was bright red. No sclera or iris.. Just red that showed promise of torture and death. When he pulled back his lips, each small tooth was yellow and ended in a point. He had no hair and in its place was horns ranging in all sizes and shapes. His body was clad in black and she shied away from it entirely. What terrified her was that he was leaning over Bryce's mangled corpse and yanked out the sword to then slash the unknown male's neck.
"Estrella" . . . "Estrella! Wake up!" A voice that idled in the back of her mind came forth. When it became to much, she opened her eyes. The dress she wore was tangled and twisted in such a way that the cool air made her aware that things was exposed. She wasn't alone and it seemed her screaming invited Feyre, the unknown male, Bryce, and a woman that made her dream feel like it leaked out into the real world. The woman was dark skinned and black eyes and that was all Estrella saw before her second round of thrashing began. She screamed out something even she knew wasn't english before saying, "Galgren!"
"It's over. Just a dream," Feyre said as she scooped her up into a hug. It was mothery and the warmth of the woman settled Estrella enough to calm down. Tears made her vision blurry before they flowed down her cheeks, and this made her bury her face into the Fae's neck. Her crying even made Bryce humble enough to keep his distance then leave. The dark skinned lady stayed where she was while the unnamed male found an interesting spot on the floor. They was all aware that her dress had made her chest exposed and it was one his uncles who entered before turning to walk away with a "Oh, sorry."
When Estrella glanced down, she then covered her chest with both hands and shrieked "Boys out! I hate dresses!" "Nyx, leave us please," Feyre said then looked at Cerridwen as if to say 'get him out.' There was no need for Nyx left and even closed the door behind him. He found Bryce at the kitchen table and was poking the scrambled eggs with his fork before he let the utensil drop. "I know who Galgren is," He said with a grave tone. "I just don't know how she knows." Nyx asked who the person was and Bryce looked at him with such a worried face that he thought that he had a twin. "It's not a person. It's a demon."
When she was settled down and explained to her that Cerridwen was a housemaid, Estrella sniffed loudly before saying, "I had dreams before that was scary but this one.. And they saw my boobs!" Feyre shook her head as she spoke "They did not" but was then blasted by the human's rageful answer "They did too and it's one thing for Bryce to see me but that other guy made me-!"
She broke off before trying to take the dress off with haste. Feyre helped and with a ruffle of fabric, the dress was gone. Estrella liked the dress enough to frown but now since she was fully naked saved by her underwear and necklace, she covered herself again. "The house is enchanted to send attire to you each morning and night. It also gives items that you ask or need in any giving time. Just.. Be polite to it," Feyre said, noticing a new dress and underwear that was now on the end of the bed.
"C-Can you do something for me?" Estrella asked as she slipped her hands under a pillow to bring out the phones. "Destroy them?" Feyre never seen such devices and took them as if they would explode. They both watched as the screens started to crack and melt before the phones vanished entirely into black and red particles and smoke. The scent of burning plastic and metal was enough to make them all cough and gag, then once the air was cleared, Feyre and Cerridwen helped her into her dress after taking a brisk bath.
This dress was a simple sweetheart topped corset top with a semi straight skirt. It had a blue to a white gradient and to her, it felt like it was a scrunchie shirt. Since the shoes somewhat matched the gown, she put them on before she let the housemaid do her hair. Feyre left the room somewhere during the dressing and headed towards the kitchen to eat. When she overheard Nyx and Bryce talking, she halted her steps. "-this demon thing?" "You can't. You can only send him back to the realm from which he came from. It's not that hard but you need-" Feyre's curiousness got the better of her and entered the kitchen. "What?" The human male sighed then said "I'll tell it when we finish eating"
Breakfast was just with the High Lords and Nyx. Estrella was at the seat she sat in at dinner, now claiming it as her spot. Nyx was beside her and Bryce couldn't help but to notice that her seat was near his. Closer than he liked. She had sausage, buttered toast, scrambled eggs that was runny and tasted like milk, and a glass of water before she pushed her plate away. She did take an apple from the middle of the table and started to take small bites from it when Bryce started speaking.
"Galgren is a high demon. I don't know how you know of him, but he is dangerous. He's nicknamed after gangrene. Its when your flesh die from lack of blood supply. He can literally suck you dry of all blood and leave you with just enough to keep you on a thread of life. Only fire hot enough to melt diamond can send him back to the realm he came from." Estrella paused in her nibbling then told her dream. In the end, Bryce was pale and Rhysand was staring at her with concern. "So, it was both of you?" He asked. It was Bryce who breathed out "I guess so but i have no idea why i am dead." Nyx talked around the rim of his glass so low it was hard to hear. "Say it louder," Bryce snapped and Estrella winced.
"I said maybe he thinks your a wuss," He said with a grin. "I also had the idea of taking Estrella out today and show her around. Mother only restricted her to the shopping part." He then turned to face her "How about it?" Anything to get rid of her nightmare and the one who now wanted to throw his entire plate at them, she nodded. "I'm already ready," She said lowly and then proceeded to follow him towards the door. His uncle came from down the steps, Cassian, and headed towards his father. Some kind of update no doubt. For two weeks straight, things have been mysteriously been happening around the entire courts and no one knew why.
Outside, he unfolded his wings to their full extent and she found herself staring at them. She didn't realize that he did have wings in the first place since she was too focused on his face. Now she witnessed the blackness that blocked the door behind them and then some. Two things she saw that the other males did not was that the talons was longer and more pointed. The other was that they looked more transparent at the ends. "What are you?" She asked. He looked at her as his wings extend halfway and then nodded "Tell you later. Ever flown?" When she shook her head, he gave her a smile "Well hold on, my Hazelnut"
Before she got a word out about calling her 'hazelnut', he picked her up bridal style and flew. Rhysand, watching from the window could only smile in pride when he heard his sons laughter and her scream. Feyre and Cassion was busy calming down Bryce who was now trying to get towards the door but the three paused. "Calm down, its a date. Not a damn proposal," Cassion growled. "How about we'll get some of that temper out by having a day with me." It was an order and so Bryce snorted. "Fine. According to her I'm dead anyway."
Flying wasn't that bad if she focused on his face but the wind that hit her, stung. His hand that gripped the back of her thigh was gentle but firm, promising her that he wouldn't drop her. The one that his fingers brushed on the edge of her breast sent tingling waves. Her outer arm was wrapped around his neck while the other was pressed against between them. Course, it did not stop her from grabbing onto the front of his shirt. She was thankful that her hair was somewhat short but she had to press her face into his neck. His rumbling chuckle didn't help as he glided in the air. "I won't drop you," He said in her ear. Her whimper in reply made him inhale sharply. Mixed signals flooded his mind as he descended down towards the city until they gracefully landed.
"Velaris is a great city but it does get boring," He said as he placed her down on her feet. The excitement of flying and the rush of adrenaline made her legs feel like jelly and she wasn't quite ready to let him go. "Explain?" She asked as he unwrapped her arm from the back of his neck but held her up until she finally let go. In the back of his mind, he silently dreamed of those arms around his neck or even her hands on certain-Her repeated question snapped him out of it. "Oh, sorry. I was thinking" He breathed before clearing his throat.
"The city has four palaces. The one where my mother and you went to was the palace of thread and jewels. It's responsible for selling clothes, shoes, supplies for both, and jewelry. The palace of bone and salt is for food and spices. The third is the palace of hoof and leaf is like the twin of bone and salt but don't have livestock and is on the other side of the river. And then there are the artist's quarter. Famously called The rainbow of Velaris because it's home of the performing arts and has a wide range of colorful buildings," He explained and noticed that she was staring out into space. He was about to ask if she gotten all of that when she faced him and asked "I know this quartz is fake. Can we maybe get a new one?"
His eyes darted from her eyes to the pendent that rested in the middle of her chest. The crescent moon was just a fake and brittle metal that was coiled and in a pattering he was unfamiliar with and the crystal that hung from the top was indeed fake. "Why you have it then?" He asked. She took it in her right hand and fiddled with the moon. "I like space. How beautiful the galaxies are and thinking that if one single star can be a life source of life to a planet out there. On earth, there are people who have jobs that explore space with devices and things without ever leaving their homes."
"We did find one planet that just rains diamonds and another that just have water and ice. It would take lifetimes to even reach the nearest planet outside our own-I'm rambling" She said then looked away as if she was ashamed. Even though he had no idea what she was talking about half the time, he was interested in her speech. "No, no, I liked it. I didn't understand most of it but it sounds amazing," He said before he got an idea.
She noticed that all fae either got out of his way and nodded or just simply smiled at him and said "Prince." It made sense in a way since his parents was High Lords but his expression told that he didn't like the title much. She didn't pry as he escorted her towards the middle of the city where a river flowed. "That's the Sidra river," He said. The river itself was of a deepest sapphire and she could see boats that flowed on the surface. There was also bridges that connected the two lands and she could barely make out beings on them. "Two palaces on one end, two on the other," He explained. "Since you like the moon and stars, let me buy you a pendent then offer you a lunch date. My treat. You do like fish don't you?" Her sudden bright smile and her loud, excited 'yes' made his heart clench.
The thing they both agreed on was of a simple silver chain and the pendant itself reminded her of deep space with an opal planetoid in that was slightly off centered. Her pendant was molded into the other, making it appear more special. The outer edge was also polished silver and there was rings with small balls on it that gave off the impression that the pendant itself was surrounded by orbiting planets. The weight of it on her chest was comfortable and she like how it had a flat back. Her scent alone made his wings droopy and feel heavy as she bounced up and down on her heels. Physics and gravy played a part that was her chest and he was somewhat transfixed by them.
He dated in the past sure, but they always ended up with him taking no part in the offer of warming their beds. To him, beauty was only skin deep and more then a few only wanted to be spoiled in riches. When he was training up in the Illyian Mountains up until it was his turn to be part of the Illyian Blood Rite, the females either chased after him or fled due to his status, but often times, he pushed them away. His only release was his hand.
Like some of his family, he became a Carynthian when he saved a male from starvation and then watched as the same male fought off another who tried to end his life. He didn't even know the fae's name. Seeing Estrella reminded him of the ones he used to date but something about her was grounded. Seeing her when she entered the kitchen this morning made him aware that she felt out of place in such a pretty dress ment that she wasn't used to being pampered. He then made a silent promise to himself that he'd make sure she was treated with care as well as the other promises that mudded his mind.
Lunch was amusing for he never seen her eat so much fillet fish. She requested malt vinegar and the man serving them was confused until she listed the recipe. After about five minutes, he came back with a sample. Despine her gagging and coughing, she did gave him a thumbs up and requested a bowl for her to dip the fish in. "Phew! Been awhile since I had the stuff," She said as she massaged the edges of her jaw where it was connected to her neck. The fish was battered to a fine crispy texture and she asked if it came fried in breadcrumbs.
When the waiter said it came by chili-cumin, she nodded and ordered two fillets. He watched in amazement when she ate nearly all of it and the glass of water she wanted with ice chips. When they was done and she thanked the male a few times in a shy tone, he paid for the lunch. It wasn't that expensive and normally he'd put a stop to it when his date just ordered expensive dishes but ate little. But since she ate what was on her plate except for the toast, he smiled at her.
"Love fish?" He asked as they headed down a street. She was sucking on a finger that still had oil and crumbs on it. "Mhm! Been awhile since i had it and Bryce never once took me out. Well that one time but the food was disgusting." He asked out his question and found it was laced with jealousy. "What is with you two, anyway?" She pulled out her finger from her mouth as she frowned. Oh how he wished it was his- "We was friends since we was around five or so. Stayed that way until he had to move when we became teenagers. I dated a man for four years and thought he was the one."
"Found out he cheated and a few years after, Bryce entered my life again. At first he was kind and sweet, but.. Well, you and your family saw how crude he is. He says oral sex the best thing between us and even sex itself is good but-" She barked out a dry laugh "He sucks! He promises things to me but when it comes down it it, he never tends to my needs. I thought my first time would be magical like the romance books I read but.. A cold ass tiled floor rather than a nice dinner followed by a warm bed is not the experience i wanted." She said. The sour tone at the end told him enough to know that she never had a tender loving moment in bed. "So what about you?" She asked. "Had any girls? Guys?"
When he shook his head and explained that his training made him too busy and the girls he did date only wanted his money, she couldn't help but to feel possessive over the facts. Unlike the pissed off feeling she felt whenever someone did lie to her, she felt nothing of the sort. Either that he was really good at telling them or he was telling the truth. "Mmm.. Well maybe I'll give you some pointers. A woman's insight on it so you don't become like Bryce," She teased, elbowing him in the side. "Or read a smutty book or two." She added as her cheeks flushed hot, signaling that she was blushing and wished she didn't say that she wanted to give him advice. His only reply was a deep chuckle and a gentle poke to her cheek. "Blushing are we?" He asked to which he got a handful of playful slaps of hitting his bicep. Her whiney 'stop' only made him chuckle more.
Back home, she claimed a spot on the sofa and deemed it hers. Or until someone wanted the edge where she used the armrest as her own personal resting spot for her comically large mug of iced water. It even had two lemon slices in it gratitude by the house itself when she accidentally knocked over a vase when she wasn't looking and caught it just before it landed on the floor. Only his parents was there and Feyre was draped over Rhysands lap. "So, how was the date?" She asked. Nyx was in the kitchen, getting his own mug of water, so Estrella had time to breathe. "He got me this and then we ate fish," She said as she played with the weighted pendant. She was reminded how heightened their senses were when she heard Nyx's laugh.
As he entered the living room to sit next to her, he said with a teasing tone "You devoured like eight fillets." In her defense, the fillets was mouthwatering like any food she ate for it held a certain flavor to it. If as if the food itself was enchanted to be the best flavored dish it could be. "If I ate the food from back home, it'll taste like dirt," She said as she now played with the chain. "Oooh! If there are the ingredients to make it, how about pizza for dinner?" All eyes stared at her in confusion, making her sink back into the sofa before she said in a small voice "I can make it. I mean I need help if there's an oven but other than that.." She trailed off and when Rhysand grew interested in it enough to question the items needed, she grinned.
Back from the city a few hours later, they found Azriel, Cassian, Nesta, and Bryce in the living room. The stench of sweat and unknown body orders made her cover her mouth and gag and even Nyx made a face of disgust. "UGH! Who died?" She asked as both Feyre and Rhysand quickly headed towards the kitchen with the items. "I need a shower," Bryce snarled before stomping off. "No showers. Only baths. Course, it would be great if there was one," Estrella said to herself. "A what? You go naked outside in the rain?" Nesta asked then got a giggle in reply. "It's like rain. Only it comes from a pipe that ends in this- I can't explain it," Estrella said and waved her hand in dismissal. "I'm making pizza. It's a meal where I come from and i'm not sure if it'll feed all of us." "Pez-ah? And no need. Nesta and I are headed back to our place," Cassian said and with that, they left. Only Azriel remained and he looked displeased. "Peet-sah. Not pez-ah," She said to no one but Nyx snickered.
"How bad was the training?" Nyx asked. "He complained so much I was thinking of ending him. Asking about you of all things," He grumbled as he sat in his preferred chair. When Nyx asked why, all Azrial did was to look in Estrella's direction. Not getting the que or even the signs it was mainly about her, she headed off towards the kitchen. "Rule one 'round here! I cook, no one enters the kitchen!" She loudly explained and soon both of his parents left with smiles on their faces. There was a series of clattering of pots and pans before a pause. "Okay, I need help. I don't know how to use this!" It was Nyx to the rescue.
The dough was easy enough for it required similar ingredients for making bread. Flour, yeast, water, salt, and olive oil was mixed and was now flat on a baking stone that she coated with the oil. They did have a flour fight after he said that the dough was too lumpy and she took offense to that. Their laughter and playing quieted by Bryce's stomping down the stairs, making her snort. The sauce was mashed up tomatos that ended up pleasing her when she saw how Nyx prepared it, oregano she sliced up in tiny pieces, garlic salt, and granulated sugar was added into the tomatos.
After she taste tested it, a pleased 'Mmm' left her. The salami that they bought wasn't exactly what she liked but she said it was similar and liked how it gave a spicy kick and so she diced them in thin slices. The cheese was then sliced a few times into tiny pieces as well before she had to take a sort break. Nyx helped with the oven while she then set to work on the pizza. When it was in the oven, they went back into the living room. "Keep an eye on it. It'll ready when the cheese is melted in the middle."She said then looked down at herself. "Awh man! My dress!" The poor gown was a mess! "Quick bath!" She turned heel towards her bedroom.
When she was out of earshot, Bryce snarled "So a virgin or you tell all girls that your a virgin to fuck-" Nyx and even Rhysand glared at him as Feyre growled in her throat. Being a protective mother, she snapped "Now hold on for one moment. We take you into our house, gave you clothes and a place to sleep, and ever since we found you two, you've been nothing but a prick! You should respect our son and everyone else that enters this house. Now clean up your act or you'll be finding yourself without anything but the clothes on your back. Understand?!" Being High Lady, her voice held such a commanding tone that even the house felt obedient. The human male could only sit and stare at her with wide eyes until Estrella came down the steps with a smile about twenty minutes later.
She chosen a pair of grey sweatpants and a long sleeved shirt that had five pointed stars all over it that ranged from dark grey to silver. The neckline and the ends of the outfit was black, making the stars pop against the fabric. With her hair damp and smelling like strawberries and bananas, she bounded to her spot and sat there. "That's cute," Nyx said as she studied the outfit. "Thanks! I wanted short sleeves though. I can't stand nightgowns for I turn so much in my sleep," she said as she picked at the black puffy edge that was around her wrists. "It tends to get cold but a fire will warm you up," Rhysand said then sniffed the air. She did too before getting up to check on the pizza with a squeak. Only Azriel remained quiet throughout the enter ordeal up until Estrella yelled from the kitchen "It's ready!"
Besides the pepperoni being slightly off, it was one of the best pizzas she ever eaten. Bryce got his slice and silently enjoyed his, Feyre's words still hitting home. The other's appeared to be either questioning their palates for a moment before it was Azriel himself to point at the last remaining three slices. "I have another?" He asked than actually smiled when she nodded. "It's interesting. The combination of different flavors put into one is making me want another," Feyre said around a mouthful. Nyx 'Mhm'd his approval and Rhysand snatched another piece. With one slice remaining, Estrella offered it to Bryce to which he shook his head. "Going to bed," He mumbled and with that, he turned to head upstairs. Nyx gladly took the last one.
"If that was good, I have a few more recipes," she said after they all headed back into the living room. With Nyx beside her on the sofa, she couldn't help but to graze the edge of his wing with her arm. It felt soft and velvety as if it was coated with a thin layer of peach fuzz fur. It felt like she was touching a fleece blanket or a puppy just days old from being born. Unaware that each touch made him inhale through his nose and lightly scratch his knees, she was deep in conversation.
About if there really was some evil being ready to harm her, she wanted to fight. Azriel was no novice when it came to training females and he offered to help. He even wanted to tell Cassian and Nesta if they wanted to join in on the training and Estrella nodded. "I'm fat but ready!" She said with a left punch in the air. Feyra giggled at her ambition and even Nyx grinned.
Feyre then asked if she had any hobbies and soon they began to talk. They all found that Estrella had at least one thing in common with all of them. About how she loved nighttime and the mixture of not yet fall and summer days where it was just cold enough for a warm cloak but warm enough to wear light clothing. She loved to read romance novels and books on just about anything that peaked her interest. Crafting seemed to be one of her best quirks for she liked to be busy with her hands. Painting, drawing, or even doing small jewelry crafting kits named a few that she liked to be busy about. When she said that she did some meditation and defense courses, Rhysand wanted a demonstration.
Estrella stood up and cleared her throat. "Okay uhm.. I need someone to grab my throat," She said and Nyx's brow raise made her blush. "Nnn- Just a defense move. Get up and i'll show you." When he stood to get in front of her, she took on a defensive pose and nodded. Ready. When he did reach out with his left hand, she countered it with her right elbow and let it land on the inside of his own. When his arm now moving down, she then twisted so that she could land a kick on his lower stomach. Course, it was done slow and gentle to prove that she did not want to hurt him and when Nyx took her ankle with both hands, he smirked. "Good but they could do this," He then pulled her in by taking her off balance and wrapped his arms around her stomach.
"Yes but-" She said. With her arms pinned, she pressed her entire weight against him by doing a backwards butt bump and let herself fall onto the floor. Sure it hurt when she landed, but with a gleeful laugh, her arms wrapped around his legs and sent him on his own back by bending his knees. "Not bad," A few voices said in unison. She wasn't done yet for she then twisted so that he was now on his stomach which made him burst out a small, girly, and hilarious sounding 'Woo!' With his legs still bent, she climbed up over him, took a fist full of his hair and nearly sat on his feet. "Ta-da!"
Even though she was ready to curl up in bed and sleep the night away after she showed two more moves, she also wanted to be around him. Something made her want to be around people as if he was her personal person charger. Often times, she fled to a room and let herself calm down if there was a crowd or loud noises for a certain amount of time, but around him it felt like she was actually enjoying company more than her few hourly limit. The urge to bite and chew on the pendant was making her crave her chewie necklace but that was back at her home. That made her frown. "You okay?" He asked.
"Oh.. I'm just missing my chewie." "Your what?" Azriel asked. "It's a teething device made for adults that like to bite. I'm autistic," She said then had to explain what it was in her own way. About how crowds and loud noises made her want to hide. Overstimulation like touching made her feel pain rather than basic light touches, and her absolute big no-no was that if she occupied with a task and someone came up behind her to touch, she would start and shriek. She also said that her outgoing personality like the one she showed since meeting them was not her normal self. How she rather enjoyed being alone in her room for days on end just to 'charge' up her social needs.
A 'burn out', she called it. She even explained that emotions was difficult and she had a hard time reading the room or other people. She then told something about herself that even Azriel said "Damn". She had no fear when it came to danger for she didn't know how to process it. "It's best if you stick around me for awhile and you'll get the.." She trailed off as she waved her hands over her body "This."
After asking her questions about her burn outs and she basically said it was best to leave her alone until she was ready to be social again, Feyre and Rhysand headed to bed and Azriel left. "This isn't your home?" She asked and Nyx shook his head. "My parents have around six houses or more. I'm currently searching for one of my own though. I love my family but it's hard when you want to be naked in your own room and your mom walks in." She laughed at that and said, "Oh I got walked in on plenty of times. No lock on the door." When he asked about her family, she became quiet and so he did not push her. They then talked about creatures when she brought up the pegasus. That there was a smaller version of faeries called 'fairies' and they kept gardens alive and bloom all year around.
What amazed him was that, in her world, the Fae was called elves. Course, they didn't have wings but horns and antlers on their heads. When the clock chimed one in the morning, she was nodding off and then finally used his arm as her pillow. A blanket appeared over her since he too was tired and didn't want to wake her. His growing need to protect her grew as she brushed her bangs out from her face and stared at her with soft eyes. With an inhale, he exhaled it with a quiet "Shit."
For once, she didn't dream anything but pitch black. The sense of feeling was gone and she found herself floating in the void. It felt like she was underwater but it was thick and held weight when she moved. Bubbles rippled upwards when she opened her mouth to speak yet, no words came. A dull ache started to form in her heart then it grew from a dull throbbing to a full blown attack of pain. It felt like when she found out that her ex had cheated and the coldness and sharp twisted jabbing coursed over her body.
She felt cold for hours as she cried over him. When she looked down, she saw a black jagged piece of what looked like wood protruding from her chest. Blood seeped out from where it met her flesh and bubbled upwards towards the surface. Her body convulsed as she tried to breathe and found herself clawing at her neck. Her throat was blocked as she kicked and thrashed. She wanted out and free!
Suddenly, as if the dream was in fast forward, she went from cold to hot in mere seconds. Her body reacted to something and that answered back. Whispered even as she watched her arms and hands turn into something inhuman. The surface rushed upwards as she swam up to greet it and then was spilled out-NO! She was dumped out from whatever she was in. She turned to face whatever she was dumped out of and blinked at the turned over tub. She then saw a crowd through her blurred vision and just off to the right, saw an ashen body with two red dots that stood over a body that was laying on the ground. A guttural and savaged growl came from the depths and pure white blinding light made her vision hurt.
Another pain snapped her out of her dream and blinked up at Rhysand. She was holding her breath and so she inhaled to scream. It was filled with terror and it was such a mournful sound that even Bryce who was in the living room fell to his knees. Her scream turned into loud sobs that caused her to shake as she gripped onto whatever warm flesh she could.
It took her an hour to calm down and was now letting her scratched neck looked after. The blanket was wrapped around her like a cocoon and she was still shivering. Her eyes stared at nothing as she heard ringing in her ears. A knock on the door and noises, voices, and rush of cool air from outside made her blink ever so slowly. Cold hands was gently placed on her cheeks and lifted her head upwards. Muffled voices surrounded her yet she had no reaction. All she focused on was the pain in her chest. When she finally spoke, her voice was hoarse from screaming. "Draw. ..I..Draw" She reached out for something and then grasped at something that was placed in into her palm.
Without seeing what she drew on the sheets but knowing what she put down, she drew the strange black tub with three short legs, the strange wooden piece in her chest, and the blurry vision before the beast overtook her. The last drawing made Bryce hiss "Galren! But who are the others and why she drew a cauldron?" The blurry viel that masked her vision cleared and she squeezed her eyes shut before looking at Bryce. "I.. I think I died." It was Feyre who spoke up "I'm sending word to Miryam and Drakon at once."
"I couldn't read her mind," Rhysand said with a tone in his voice that was scared and of bewilderment. "I still can't ever since we winnowed to the meadow. I just thought she had powerful shields up or just a other world human thing. But i can hear Bryce's just fine." "I kept quiet about it too but shes like.. She like a nothing but something. I can smell her but.. That's it." Nyx said beside Estrella. "Anything?" He asked towards Nesta who shook her head. "I felt the pull of the cauldron as if it wanted her to be Made then nothing after. It welcomed her with warmth." Bryce was puzzled and so asked "What?"
"The cauldron she drew is the source of all life and death of Prythian. They say all the magic was contained inside it, that was world was born in it. It fell in the wrong hands and great, horrible things were done with it. It can not be destroyed for it had Made all things and if broken, all life would cease to be. My mother was human but was Made. But she was Made into the High Lady by all of the High Lords of Pythian but aunt Nesta and aunt Elain was Made by the cauldron," Nyx said with a grim tone. "It makes humans into you guys? Did it send us here?" Estrella asked dryly and her reply was Nesta's "Yes and I'm not sure."
"I'm tired," Estrella whispered, now falling asleep and slumped over to land onto Nyx's lap. All was quiet before Bryce reached out to stroke her knee. The kind act was short for he turned to Rhysand and asked "You read my mind?" The fae nodded his head. "I can read yours like an open book. Hers, however, feel like I hit a solid wall without any cracks to break in. And that scares me for I couldn't make her stop from clawing at her neck. We need all the information you have on this Galren."
