Chapter 1:
Chaotic Evil
A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If he is simply out for whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized. Typically, chaotic evil people can be made to work together only by force and their leader lasts only as long as he can thwart attempts to topple or assassinate him. Chaotic evil is sometimes called demonic because demons are the epitome of chaotic evil. Chaotic evil is the best alignment you can be because it combines self-interest and pure freedom. However, chaotic evil can be a dangerous alignment because it represents the destruction not only of beauty and life but also of the order on which beauty and life depend.
Humans are fragile creatures. Their skin breaks easily if too much pressure is applied. Their bones break if bent too much. Their brains explode if the right amount of weight is brought upon it. It's laughable.
But, the most fragile thing to the human species is their mind, their heart, their emotions. A traumatic event causes the human brain to change after it experiences something that it cannot handle. Love. It causes humans to do the most silliest of actions. Hatred. It causes the heart to make regrettable decisions. Envy, lust, greed, laziness, gluttony and pride. It's all the humans weakness. It's the reason for their timely demise. Why they are such selfish creatures.
Life isn't always the way humans expect it to go. It throws curveballs. It throws in obstacles. It throws in mutated wild animals that try to kill during a game that humans are forced to play otherwise they die.

It was a sunny day in Tokyo, Japan. Cars were bustling in the streets as people walked along the sidewalks trying get to their destinations. It was a nice spring day, little to no wind and the clouds didn't peak over the horizon. It was a good day.
Maria Watanabe was a waitress at a coffe shop in Shibuya. It was a modest shop that wasn't too closed-space to be considered small, but it also didn't have the luxurious space that most business had. It was simple and calming. The colors of the shop was a dark brown with the exception of a bit of black layering the brown. The street wasn't as busy as it usually was on a weekday, but Maria didn't mind. It felt nice to have a slow pace for once.
She sat on a black stool in front of the counter, drinking her tea and having a small biscuit for her lunch break. She sat in her work attire, white button up shirt with black dress pants and black flats, her apron was placed on the stool on her left.
"Maria..."
She looked up from her biscuit and eyed her coworker. She didn't particularly like her. Her hair was long and had blonde highlights. She had dimples on her cheeks that made Maria want to cut them open because they bothered her. Her overly sympathetic personality was another reason why she felt so bitter when she was around her. Though it was her job, she never said that she liked it.
"Hmm?" She hummed, a piece of biscuit still in her mouth.
"The boss just called... he said he there's going to be a new shipment today and wants you organize them," the coworker explained in a soft voice.
Maria sighed and placed the remaining of her biscuit in her mouth. Her eyes never left her coworker, causing the team member to grow uncomfortable with the prolonged eye contact.
Mari chewed slowly. She was enjoying making her coworker feel so uncomfortable. It made her a little less bitter at the world.
"Um... can you please stop staring at me..."
Maria took a sip of her tea, eyes still glued to the shy girl. She exhaled a chuckle and looked inside her tea cup. It was almost gone, the only thing left being the tea leaves.
She looked back up to the girl. "Wouldn't it be polite if you stopped staring as well?"
The girl grew red as she realized how Maria was right. She was staring as well and hadn't known until Maria brought it up.
The embarrassed girl bowed and turned away. Maria watched as she went to a couple that had walked in.
It was always the same with her coworker. Maria would exist and the girl would be scared of her. Maria would breath and the girl would apologize for being so close to her hair. She found it amusing that she had such an affect on people like her.
Maria grabbed her apron from the stool and tied it around her. She grabbed the almost empty cup and the napkin that held her biscuit and went to the back to dispose of the items.
A few hours later the new shipments arrived. Maria placed her earbuds in her ear and pressed the play button that was attached to them. Different genres of rock played in her ears as she took the different boxes and crates out of the truck. It was a simple but tiring job. Maria wanted nothing more than for her day to be over and to go home and sleep in her bed. Away from the prying, judgmental eyes from others.
She sighed in exhaustion. The day went on slower than she would have liked. But as she walked home, her flats in her duffel bag and replaced with tennis shoes, she felt the bitterness that always came with conversing with other humans. She was exhausted mentally and physically. The fake smiles that people gave her, the fear in their eyes whenever they realized she her bluntness and her lack of care. It was always the same exhausting thing.
As Maria got to her apartment building she pushed the button that allowed residents in. The slide door opened for her and she walked through without waiting for it to fully open. The elevator ride was quiet, no music to fill the sound of the void. Maria stepped farther back to rest her head against the vibrating wall of the elevator. She sighed.
"If only... there was no one else around."
The elevator door opened and Maria stepped out. Her apartment was on the sixth floor of the complex and was stationed at the very end of the hallway. Her feet dragged as she tried finding her keys to her door. She put the keys in and walked in but noticed a paper lying on the ground. She picked it up and close the door with her foot, looking between the area the paper was at and the size of space from under the door.
Dear Maria,
We hope you know that we truly do love you. We want you to come back because we need your help. Money is running a little lower than we'd like, so we are planning another documentary-
Maria walked over to her garbage can her kitchen and ripped the letter. Her breathing became rapid as anger engulfed her. She slammed her hand on the counter. Her anger was taking over he faster than she could breathe and continued slamming both of her fists on the tile. She was seething with rage. Her parents were the same as ever.
"FUCK!" She grabbed a cup that was sitting in the sink and through it against the wall across the room. Her shoulders shook uncontrollably, her eyes began stinging as tears threatened to fall. Her teeth chattered as she tried not to scream at the top of her lungs. Her throat constricted with the burning sensation of crying out loud. It was all too unbearable.
She felt nothing but hatred for her parents. Nothing but bitterness and anger. It was all their fault that she became the way she was.
"If..." she began quietly, voice quavering as she tried to control her emotions, "If they had just... done their job as parents... Those fucking assholes!"
She threw a knife at the wall. It embedded itself in slightly, the wall being too weak to prevent it from burying itself inside.
Maria's body stopped shaking, her heartbeat calming from the act of violence. Her shoulders rose and fell with the timing of her breath. Her face was red, the only trace of anger that was still present. Her teeth vibrated against themselves as if blood flowed through them.
Her body fell to the ground as she covered her head with her hands. She was too tired, too angry with everyone and everything to stop the bitterness that she tasted on her tongue. It would always be there.
The sound of fireworks were heard outside of her window. It shone through the curtains. Her heads left her head and her eyes darted to the window.
"At least everyone else is having fun..."
Maria moved her short, red dyed hair out of her face as she stood up. Her legs ached as she stood and walked over to the curtain. She moved it aside and took a glance at the night sky.
Little remnants of the fireworks were floating down, wiggling as if they were trying to not be touched by the other. She watched as they disappeared and hovered near the window for a little while longer.
It was quiet. There was nothing but the sound of her blood rushing through her ears, causing a small ringing to resound.
Maria's breathing was normal. Her body had calmed itself of the anger she felt moments ago. Although, that bitter taste was still in her mouth.
Maria sighed and closed the curtain of her window and walked to her couch. Her apartment wasn't big, or luxurious, but it was still more of a home than her parents house. She worked hard to get the apartment on her own and now that she had it, she was thankful.
She sat on her leather couch that was adjacent to her door, kicked off her shoes and closed her eyes for the night.
I decided to make an Alice in Borderland story because as I was searching for good stories I found little to none. A lot of them were like "I walked here and they lOVeD mE" and they were very badly explained. So, with my expertise (notice the sarcasm) I will create a story that maybe you will love. Also, this will be a slow burn story because none of the characters (especially the people at the Beach) are goo goo gaga easily. They have personalities that have built up over their life and they aren't going to change just because a girl walks in the room with a bikini. Especially since EVERYONE is in a bikini/swimsuit. I'm basing this story mainly off of the netflix adaption but I might be adding somethings from the manga as well. Let me know what you think so far! BYE ^_^
