Kara stood at the DEO table; her sister was chatting with Maggie. Karen was playing a videogame. She visited Kelly that morning, and then wanted to spend some time with Kara. She was wearing her Astrogirl suit. Karen, her little cousin was adorable. Kara smiled, looking at Lena, who was looking at a computer screen. Lena, her lovely Lena was an angel; one day maybe they would have a child of their own. Lena, the only person from Super friends who wasn't wearing a costume. Kara wondered how Lena would look in a suit; she wished that one day Lena will become a Kryptonian; it would make Kara so happy!

"I found something," said Lena, looking at Kara. "Transmitting to the main screen."

An image of a large truck with several cars appeared on the screen. Kara noticed several red hexagons. Cadmus. Perfect, if Lillian was travelling in that truck and Kara captured her, it would hurt Cadmus greatly.

"I am going," said Kara, rising in the air.

"I am coming with you, Kara," said Alex.

"Me too," said Maggie.

"I will monitor the situation from here," said Lena. She provided the location where she spotted the truck. Kara nodded, flying. Alex and Maggie flew behind her.

When they arrived, Kara spotted the large truck driving quickly on the road. She accelerated, flew ahead of the truck, and crushed on the ground, creating a small crater. The truck tried to maneuver, but Maggie landed right behind the truck, and tried to hold it from a side. The truck came to a stop.

The cars stopped; several men quickly existed the cars, grabbed guns, and began firing. Alex's eyes turned red; she fired heat vision and destroyed a car.

Kara rose in the air, and flew to Alex, turning her eyes red, and destroying another car.

"I got this," said Maggie, walking confidently towards the men, and quickly incapacitating them. As Kara scanned the area, Alex tore the large doors at the back of the truck. She froze.

"Alex?" Kara asked. She looked inside, spotting Jeremiah, who was held chained in the middle of the truck. "Jeremiah?"

"Dad!" Alex jumped in the truck, and run towards her father, hugging him. She grabbed the chains and shattered them. Jeremiah was back! "Dad, I've got you,"

Alex lifted Jeremiah, and while carrying him, slowly walked towards the exit, gently jumping on the ground.

"Babe, take him to the DEO. Kara and I got this," said Maggie. Alex nodded, flying to the DEO. Once Kara and Maggie finished capturing the Cadmus agents, they returned to the DEO.

Kara saw Alex standing next to Jeremiah, who was resting on a reclined chair. Jeremiah, a man who Kara admired until recent events. How could he work for Lillian? He believed in Lillian's goals … no, it didn't make sense, he had to have a reason to work for Lillian. He couldn't have believed Lillian's nonsense, could he?

"You shot Alex," said Maggie, glaring at Jeremiah, who weakly sat up in his chair.

"Babe," said Alex.

Alex, he shot you and Kara with Red Kryptonite particles," said Maggie, still glaring at him.

"He had to have a reason. Maggie, my mother is a monster. She manipulates people, hoping to break them. Mother is capable of finding dirt on people and then … Jeremiah Danvers, I am so sorry you had to work with my mother," said Lena.

"I … yes, I worked for Lillian, but I cannot approve of her increased ruthlessness. She has been getting more and more deranged. Look, everything I did, I did to protect my girls, but once I learned about her torture of young Astrogirl, I … I couldn't do it anymore. Lillian is a monster, yes, and I am glad I managed to escape her," said Jeremiah, looking at Maggie, and smiling. "Margarita Sawyer, thank you for being a loving girlfriend to my Alex."

Aww, Jeremiah was such a softie. Kara smiled as Maggie weakly smiled.

"It's admirable at how you lasted under my mother," said Lena. "She can break many people unless they stand strong."

"Thank you, Lena. Your mother, I am sorry, she is a wicked person. You are an amazing woman, Lena, a perfect person for Kara," said Jeremiah, smiling. Jeremiah approved of both Lena and Maggie!

"I need to check for any possible injuries," said Alex. "Afterwards, we can talk at home,"

"Sounds great, Alex," said Jeremiah. "Cadmus held me chained in the truck for several hours, my hands probably have bruises.

"Don't worry dad, we will take care of you," said Alex, smiling. Yes, they would protect Jeremiah from the wrath of Lillian. She hadn't known Jeremiah for long before he was taken, but he always seemed like a good man. Lillian kept Jeremiah working for her for years; he had to survive working for her, lying to Lillian that he believes in her cause. Yes, surely Jeremiah was innocent. And Kara would protect him. Kara needed to call Eliza, she will be so excited to get reunited with Jeremiah!

Kara smiled, looking happily at how Alex stood next to Jeremiah. Family, Kara had family in her life; she just wished she could say hi to her parents, and spend at least five minutes with them. But they were gone. Alura and Jor El were gone. She lost her biological parents; she would not let this happen to Alex. Kara texted Eliza and asked her to come visit them; she would fly Eliza from Midvale to the National City.

That evening, Kara stood in her apartment; while Lena and Maggie didn't want to come at first, she and Alex persuaded their girlfriends to come. After all, it was a family reunion, and both Lena and Maggie were family. Kara, Alex, Lena, Maggie, and Karen were looking with smiles at the reunited couple.

Her heart was warm with joy; she felt as if she just held a basket full of golden retriever puppies and kittens. When Jeremiah and Eliza looked at one another, they didn't speak, just walked to one another and hugged one another.

"Jeremiah," said Eliza, breaking their hug.

"Eliza, I missed you so much. Cadmus … they held me prisoner, Lillian made me do things, bad things. But now I am finally back," said Jeremiah.

"Dad," said Alex, smiling.

"Alex, I am so proud of you," said Jeremiah, then looking at Maggie. "Thank you Maggie Sawyer for making my daughter so happy. From what Kara told me, soulmates on Krypton didn't happen often."

Maggie nodded. "I try, I love Alex with all my heart," said Maggie.

"I am so sorry, Maggie, that your father doesn't approve of your relationship with my daughter. I am sorry he is so close minded. I have done bad things in my life, but I would like to reconnect with my entire family. This includes you, Maggie. I heard you like to play pool with Alex. Perhaps I should take you and Alex to play pool; you could beat Alex's dear old dad in the game. Or perhaps," said Jeremiah, grinning, "I would beat the two of you."

Alex opened her mouth wide. "No one beats me in pool, nah uh," said Alex; she chuckled. Alex put a hand over Maggie; Jeremiah approached them, and hugged Alex and Maggie.

Puppies, life was so good! Jeremiah was back into Alex's life!

Jeremiah ended the hug and walked towards Lena, who awkwardly smiled. "Lena Luthor," said Jeremiah.

"I am sorry about my mother, I … mother is controlling and I … I will understand if you don't me to be in Kara's life –"

"Aww, Lena. I love you," said Kara, approaching Lena, and hugging her.

"Lena Luthor, your family are not good people, but you are not them. You are a good woman, and a an amazing girlfriend for Kara," said Jeremiah, now hugging Kara and Lena. Jeremiah didn't hate Lena! He approved of both Lena and Maggie! Now if only she rebuild her relationship with Astra. Kara wished for next Thanksgiving to be different, where her entire family will be sitting at the table, including Astra. But Thanksgiving was so far, far away.

Jeremiah ended the hug and walked towards Karen. "You must be Karen Danvers," said Jeremiah.

Karen shily looked at him. "That's me," said Karen.

"I am so sorry about what you had experienced, but now Cadmus is on the run. You are a brave girl; I am happy for you to be a part of the Danvers family," said Jeremiah. "Lillian will face justice."

Eliza called for everyone to sit at the table. Kara sat next to Lena, occasionally kissing her on the left cheek. So many people were sitting at the table; Kara was full of joy, having reunited the Danvers family. She smiled, looking at how Jeremiah and Eliza were discussing science, lovingly looking at one another.

Next day when Kara had a double date, Alex was telling her how Jeremiah absolutely destroyed her in their first pool game. Maggie was chuckling, recollecting how Alex and Jeremiah had a heated second match. Her family was reunited; Lillian wouldn't dare to threaten Jeremiah. Kara ordered a giant portion of potstickers. Her day was good.

Kara and Alex returned to the DEO. Maggie went to the police station, and Lena returned to L Corp. Kara really enjoyed their double dates, the four of them needed to play some competitive game with two teams of two.

Kara looked around. Hank was standing by the table, with elbows touching his chin. "Hank, is everything alright?" Kara asked.

"No," said Hank. He then looked at Alex. "Alex, there is something I have to tell you."

What in puppies happened here? Did something happen to Eliza or Jeremiah? Gertrude? Not Maggie, she was eating lunch on their double date.

"Hank –"

"Alex, I am very sorry to tell you this," said Hank, retrieving a remote and pointing it at one monitor. An image of Jeremiah Danvers appeared as he assaulted a few people, including Hank, with some alien tech. He unplugged a usb, and walked out of the room. Jeremiah?

"No, it couldn't be dad, no, no, dad!"

"Alex, I am deeply sorry, but Jeremiah Danvers lied to us. We are still trying to figure out what exactly did he steal … but for now, we need to treat him as an enemy combatant. Capture on sight," said Hank as a red dot appeared on another screen.

"Sir, we spotted Cyborg Superman," said one of the DEO agents. Cyborg Superman. Jeremiah could have been there.

"Alex –"

"Kara, I am going. You won't talk me out," said Alex, rising in the air.

"Alex, I am coming with you. We will figure this out together," said Kara, as Alex nodded. The two sisters flew to the location where the DEO sighted Cyborg Superman.

When they arrived, Alex looked around. No, her dad couldn't have been a willing Cadmus member, no, something was very wrong. Lillian must have been blackmailing her father. Alex would save her father, she would get to the bottom of this.

The sisters landed in the middle of the forest. Alex was glad that the DEO has spotted Cadmus in the vicinity, Kara and Lena's work on upgrading the satellites did wonders. Now they just needed to find her dad and protect him. There had to be an explanation for his actions.

"Danvers girls," said Hank Henshaw, walking from behind a tree. Several Cadmus agents appeared, and pointed their guns.

"I've got this, find Jeremiah," said Kara, flying towards Hank Henshaw, and engaging in a battle with him. Kara dodged Cadmus mercs who kept shooting at her.

Alex didn't want to leave her sister alone, but Kara was strong. She could handle herself. Alex flew deeper in the woods. She had to find her father.

Alex was unable to fly fast in the dense forest. Yes, she could bulldoze through the trees, but she didn't want to damage the forest. Alex kept flying until seeing a man standing in the woods, with his back facing Alex. He turned around; father, dad was here!

"How could you, dad?" Alex asked. Jeremiah didn't move.

"Would you believe me if I said I did it for you, Alex?" Jeremiah asked. For her? For her!

"Dad, you betrayed everyone at the DEO. You told that you were on our side. You betrayed your friends and family! You did it for me?" Alex asked, tears escaping her eyes.

"It was complicated, honey," said Jeremiah. Complicated, how dare he!

"Was it all an act? Tell me, Tell me! Did you lie about everything? Were you even happy to see mom? Did you even approve of Maggie?" Alex asked. Her father lied to her, her father betrayed her. What else did he lie about?

"Alex, everything else I said, I told the truth. I am deeply proud of you being my daughter. You found a great woman to be with you. The two of you are soulmates, it's just a pity that you are now both Kryptonians. But, regardless, I am proud of you. Alex, you have a good life. I do see the irony of you being friends with Kara's girlfriend Lena. I guess a Danvers and a Luthor work well together," said Jeremiah.

"Lena is my friend; I feel as if she is like a baby sister to me. Lena Luthor is unlike her mother, she is a good person," said Alex. And she would protect her.

"I know. I am happy that Lena is a part of this family. Alex look, everything I said, except for not working willingly for Cadmus, everything else I said was true. I am very glad you found Maggie and for Kara to have found Lena. I am glad that Karen escaped Cadmus; Lillian shouldn't have tortured her. Alex, I love my wife Eliza. Back at the apartment, I told you the truth. Just … I am a Cadmus agent, I work for Lillian. I temper her worst impulses. She would have killed a lot more people if I didn't stop her," said Jeremiah.

More tears escaped from Alex's eyes. "I am bringing you down. I am sorry, dad" said Alex, taking a step towards him. Jeremiah opened his jacket, revealing glowing kryptonite shards that the jacket otherwise managed to conceal.

"You won't, Alex. If you want to bring me in, you've got to put me down, permanently. I love you, Alex, and I have to protect you. If you engage in combat, I will use the kryptonite to stop you. The only way you are bringing me in, if I wouldn't be alive," said Jeremiah.

Alex's eyes turned red. She looked at the nearby tree, and screamed, releasing red energy rays, and instantly destroying the tree. Fire appeared on the ground. She looked at Jeremiah, her eyes still red. Tears were running down her cheeks.

"Do it. Use your heat vision, and end me, Alex. Otherwise, I won't let you take me to the DEO," said Jeremiah stoically.

Alex looked at another tree and screamed once more, releasing more red energy from her eyes, destroying another tree. She closed her eyes, and looked away. "Go," said Alex. Even though her eyes were closed, a few tears escaped her eyes.

Alex stood with closed eyes. Her father, he … he betrayed her family. Alex would bring him back, but she couldn't, she couldn't end his life. Why was life so complicated? Alex wasn't sure how much time has passed as she kept standing in the forest with closed eyes.

"Alex? Alex!" Kara cried, finding her sister, and flying towards Alex, placing her arms around Alex.

"Kara," said Alex, opening her eyes. They returned to normal. "Kara, dad, he … he betrayed us"

More tears escaped Alex's eyes. "It's okay, I've got you, Alex. We will be okay, we will be okay," said Kara, hugging her. Alex loved her sister, her father betrayed her; she needed Kara's love to comfort her. Alex was weak, she let her father go. But she couldn't kill him. More tears escaped her eyes, as the sisters stood in the middle of the forest, embraced in the tight hug.

Kara, Alex, Lena, and Maggie sat on Kara's couch in her apartment. Kara was hugging Alex in the middle of the couch, while Lena sat next to Kara, and Maggie sat next to Alex.

"It's okay, Alex. Family sometimes changes. You are not evil just because your father betrayed us … believe me, I know what it means to have a parent who fights against everything I stand for. But Alex, Jeremiah, I don't think he is like Lillian. He seemed like a good person. Don't give up hope, I am sure one day he would realize that Lillian is wrong," said Lena. Lena was surely rubbing off her; Lena was so hopeful. As much as Kara didn't want to admit it to Lena, Lillian was a monster. But Jeremiah wasn't. Jeremiah was confused. Kara would figure out why Jeremiah was unwilling to surrender.

"Dad, he … he told me in the forest that he didn't lie to us. He only lied about Cadmus. He … he approved of you, Maggie," said Alex, smiling, as tears escaped her eyes. She then looked at Lena. "He liked you as well. And he felt remorseful and appalled at what happened to Karen. I just … dad, he betrayed us, he betrayed me –"

"Everything will be okay, Alex," said Kara, hugging Alex even tighter.

"We will get through this, Danvers. Ride or die," said Maggie, smiling at Alex.

"Together, we will deal with this mess together, as family. Stronger together," said Kara. They would be stronger together.

Jeremiah stood in an abandoned facility, looking at Lena who marveled at seeing the usb in her hands. "You did a great job, Jeremiah. It must have been difficult to betray your family," said Lillian, putting the usb in her pocket.

"It broke my heart, but I had to do it. My girls, I cannot have anything happen to them," said Jeremiah. He would do anything Lillian told him; he would sell his soul to the devil, and he would willingly endure anything if it kept his girls safe. He wished he would return to the DEO, but he couldn't. Yes, he would be safe, but he feared Lillian's fury. She would lash out, and hurt his girls. No, he couldn't let her do that.

"I am glad you chose correctly, Doctor Danvers," said General Lane, approaching them. "Kryptonians are a menace. The aliens are hurting people. We are doing good work, Jeremiah. Soon, we will get rid of all these pests. And Lillian promised me to succeed on depowering the Kryptonians. We will depower your girls first to see if it works; if successfully, I will turn my daughter back into human. Soon, this planet won't have any aliens, and the Kryptonians would be depowered. I could keep one of them alive to experiment on their physiology," said General Lane, smiling. Jeremiah hated working with these people, but he had no choice.
