Kara sat in the bar next to Lena; Alex and Maggie sat on the opposite side. Lena, her girlfriend, the love of her life, Lena, was a Kryptonian. Kara's heart was full of puppies and kittens.
"Kara, I have been getting these … cravings? I am not sure, but I feel I can eat an elephant," said Lena, drinking some water from her cup.
"Lena, Kryptonian biology requires a very large amount of calories; I am afraid you cannot sustain yourself on kale anymore," said Alex.
"Pizza!" Kara said, smiling. "With potstickers."
"But my kale," said Lena, frowning.
"Lena, you could eat pizza and kale. I know, I know, how about the kale pizza! Cheese pizza with a large portion of kale as a topping," said Kara. Lena would soon realize how great it would be for them to eat so much delicious food! Kara ordered several pizzas. Lena would see how appetizing the pizzas would be! Yes, yes, Kara hoped that Lena would start eating more greasy and delicious things.
"Lena, now that you are Kryptonian, we should spar more frequently. We haven't sparred in a while, I could show you everything I taught Kara," said Alex.
"We should all practice together," said Kara. Now that Lena was a Kryptonian, Kara didn't have to restrain herself. She could spar, hug, and kiss Lena with all the strength she wanted.
"I would like that," said Lena.
"Okay, so, Lena, please don't freak out," said Kara, seeing Lena raising her eyebrow. She then told Lena about the difference of familiar and romantic soul bonds, and what it meant on Krypton when a couple formed a Kryptonian bond.
"Engaged, Kara? It's feels so sudden. I love you, Kara. It would definitely be a middle finger to my mother," said Lena.
"Lena, Lena, it's a Kryptonian custom! I told this to Maggie before; you don't have to follow Kryptonian's customs, I just wanted to inform you about them," said Kara.
"Kara, I love you. I know your culture is important to you. I would be ecstatic to marry you someday. I love you, Kara Zor El," said Lena. Lena loved her, Lena was happy and understanding with Krypton's customs! Golly, Lena would be her wife someday!
"I would call you my sister in law, Little Luthor," said Maggie, grinning. Kara smiled. She left her planet all these years ago, alone, expected to raise her cousin. She found a sister, a sister she loved dearly. She found Lena, her Lena. Her sister found her own partner. They would be a family, a happy family! Kara looked forward to all the future Thanksgivings, where the four of them would be surrounded by their friends and family. When Kara arrived on this planet, she felt all alone, and now in near future her family would expand. If only they could visit Krypton, if only Kara could see her parents once more.
"We should consider getting ourselves a larger place to live; the apartments are nice, but perhaps, especially since we all will be family in the near future, perhaps we should get a new place," said Lena.
"As long as I can get potstickers," said Kara. Lena chuckled. Their family would grow; Kara loved the women sitting at the table, but she felt she wanted to rebuild her relationship with Astra. Karen was a superhero now, Kara could teach her cousin things she learned. She was all alone when she arrived on this planet, and now her family has grown significantly. While she wanted occasional privacy to spend time with Lena, it would be amazing if Kara's entire family lived together.
"You will get all the potstickers your heart desires," said Lena. Lena, her Lena, was so smart and kind.
"Little Luthor, Kara told us earlier that she could be considered a Kryptonian princess," said Maggie, teasing Lena.
"Maggie, I told you, yes, technically it's probably true, the House of El is like a noble house, but I never made a big deal of it. I am Kara, just Kara," said Kara.
"My Kara," said Lena, smiling, and placing a soft kiss on Kara's lips. "Pleasure to meet you, Kryptonian Princess Kara Zor El, my name is Princess Lena of the house of Luthor."
"Pleasure is mine, Princess Lena," said Kara.
"You dorks," said Alex, chuckling.
"You would have been a great scientist on Krypton, Lena. If you lived there, the two of us would have likely met and worked on some join scientific project," said Kara. "I … I miss my parents so, so much."
Lena put her hand around Kara's neck, looking Kara in the eyes. "Kara, I am sure your parents were good people. I would've been very happy if I could've met them … we lost our biological parents, but their memories will live on in our hearts," said Lena. Kara leaned towards Lena, kissing her on the lips.
"Okay, so you are Kryptonian, yes, yes, we need to come up with a name. And design a costume. Yes, let's design a costume for you," said Kara.
"I would be honored," said Lena. She paused. "Kara, remember that time you were under the effects of Black Mercy? You told me about your perfect life; we were married and had a daughter Luna."
"Yes, I remember. Escaping that illusion felt like getting stabbed with a Kryptonite sword," said Kara. "I would never forget the happy life I had there."
"I would honored to name myself Lunargirl," said Lena, as tears escaped Kara's eyes. Lena, she was literally a human angel. Kara leaned, kissing Lena. "I guess I will also need to speak to Cat; after all, it's our family tradition to speak to Cat in our superhero identity."
"Let's make you a suit," said Kara.
"I am going to have a suit, I am going to start wearing glasses, aren't I?" Lena asked. Kara chuckled.
"You would look great in glasses," said Kara.
The four Kryptonians arrived at Lena's office; Winn soon came with several bags. "Hey Kara," said Winn.
"Winn, help us design a costume for Lena," said Kara, smiling.
"And no boob window," said Alex.
"Actually, if you could design two costumes, one being a proper superhero costume, while the other more … risqué, with a boob window, showing off lots, and lots of skin. I could use such a suit in private," said Lena, looking at Kara, and licking her lip. Golly, Lena wanted to spend time with Kara. She should take Lena to the artic.
"No, why, I am a good person," said Alex, complaining, walking to the mini fridge in Lena's office, grabbing a cold bottle of water, and returning, giving it to Lena.
"Thank you, Alex, but I don't need –"
"Lena, you are thirsty, I insist," said Alex, chuckling.
"Alex!"
"Kara, your sister is right, I am thirsty. Will you help end my thirst?" Lena asked, biting her lips.
Alex complained once more. "I … I am out of here, see you later Kara, I need to speak with Hank; yes, I remembered I have a meeting with him," said Alex, walking towards the balcony door, and opening it, flying away. Maggie chuckled, also flying away after Alex.
For the next hour, Winn worked on a suit. Once done, he put it in a box. "All done, Miss Luthor. I made you one suit. Call me if you want me to change something about it," said Winn, walking away from the office, leaving Kara and Lena all alone in the office.
Kara and Lena were alone, all alone. Kara felt she was the one who needed a bottle of water. Lena approached the wall, pressing a button. The balcony door and the windows darkened. "Perfect, no one would see us from outside. This should provide us with privacy we need," said Lena, approaching the box. She looked away from Kara, dropping her dress. Oh Rao, Kara saw Lena's back; her girlfriend leaned down, only wearing her bra and panties. Oh Rao, oh Rao, Kara's heart began to speed up.
Lena put on the costume, and turned around. Lena, her Lena was wearing a superhero costume with an "S" on it! Stronger together, Lena acknowledged their bond! Lena's suit a green torso with green sleeves, she wore green tights, green trunks, blue boots, blue gloves, and a white cape. Kara saw a white "S" on Lena's chest. Lena was now a superhero!
"How do I look?" Lena asked, as Kara stood silent, looking at her girlfriend wearing the costume. "Kara? Kara! Wait, are you drooling?
"So pretty," said Kara. Lena laughed; she flew towards Kara. They embraced.
Lena cancelled her meetings that day. The two women changed into their normal clothes, and went to try some food; Kara would show to Lena that pizza was amazing. Lena was beautiful, but stubborn, so stubborn. Kara chuckled, when Lena tried to prove to Kara that she could still eat mostly kale and be okay. Lena was so smart, but Kara knew she would lose this bet. Lena consumed one kale salad, then another, but still felt hungry.
"I think I was wrong … I am still hungry," said Lena. The two of them went to a pizzeria, and much to Lena's horror Kara ordered ten large pizzas. Kara chuckled, as Lena sat with her eyes and mouth wide open.
"You did tell me you were hungry," said Kara, grabbing a pizza slice.
"I … Kara, it's too much. There is no way we can eat all this," said Lena.
"Try Lena," said Kara as Lena hesitantly took a vegetarian pizza with various salad leaves on top of it. "Go on, you will like it."
Kara saw how Lena took a bite. She then took another bite. "It tastes … different, but the salad leaves dressing is nice," said Lena, taking more bites. Once Lena finished the slice, she put her hand on her stomach. She then looked at all the other slices on the table. And so Lena took a second, and then a third slice. Each subsequent pizza slice seemed to boost Lena's confidence. By the time Lena finished the second pizza, Lena seemed to enjoy the vegetarian pizza a lot.
"See? Lena Luthor and pizza are friends," said Kara.
"Perhaps," said Lena, looking at the remaining pizzas. "I should buy this fine establishment. Yes, it would be a solid business decision; they could deliver me these vegetarian pizza pies at a moment's notice," said Lena. Lena wanted more pizza!
Several hours later, Kara and Lena arrived to the DEO, both wearing their suits. Kara saw Astra standing next to Hank, Jeremiah, and Eliza, discussing something. Alex was missing, hmm.
"Hey Supergirl, Alex took a day off to spend with Detective Sawyer," said Hank, then looking at Lena. "Miss Luthor."
"I … we are going to have an interview with Cat later tonight, but we thought we should visit you. Lena … Lena is a Kryptonian," said Kara; her smile radiated the room with happiness.
"Smart One, welcome to the House of El," said Astra, flying to Lena, and putting her in a quick hug. "I know we weren't always allies, Lena Luthor. Your mother and I hate one another. I would be happy to call you my family."
"Lena," said Eliza and Jeremiah approaching her and hugging Lena. Hank didn't move; he stood smiling proudly at the table.
Her family all liked Lena; her girlfriend now was a Kryptonian. Kara and Lena would have so many adventures, rescuing people, and fighting evil.
Kara saw Karen fly in. "Cousin Kara. Lena! You are wearing a costume!" Karen exclaimed, flying to Lena, and hugging her. Kara told herself she would spend more time with her cousin; times were changing. Perhaps someday, all her family would work closely together, protecting the world as a family.
"Karen," said Astra, as Karen flew to her mother, hugging Astra. Karen then waved her hand to her family, flying away from the DEO.
That evening, Kara smiled, looking at Lena wearing her suit, hovering outside of Cat's balcony. Kara stood next to Cat; she scheduled a meeting for Lena to speak with Cat.
"Off the record," said Cat, placing her recorder on the table, as Lena flew in and landed on the floor. "Lena, I am so proud of you. You might be a Luthor, but you are a good woman. And I hope I don't overstep any boundaries, but … your bond is the biggest middle finger you could have showed to Lillian."
"I love Kara," said Lena, looking at Kara, and smiling.
"I know. Not many people have what you two have," said Cat, ready to sit on her chair. Lena flew to Cat, hugging her.
"Thank you for being there for me, especially when Lex went mad," said Lena, before returning to the middle of the room.
"Alright, so let us begin our interview," said Cat, lifting her recorder off her table, and pressing the button to record. "What should we call you, our newest superhero of the National City?"
Kara smiled proudly when she heard Lena speak. "Lunargirl," said Lena. Cat began the interview.
Karen, Ruby, and Carter just finished watching the newest episode of Teen Titans; the three kids were laughing. Karen recently discovered the show that Wayne Enterprises made about the team; the five of them were already grown up, and apparently the Teen Titans wanted to make a cartoon about their heroics, using some artistic liberties. Karen liked the serious main story arcs, but sometimes she just wanted to have some fun, like that one episode where Teen Titans got stuck in TV land.
"We need to find another funny show," said Ruby.
"It should have some sci-fi," said Carter. Karen grabbed a large cheese pizza slice. Yummy. The three friends began eating the first pizza; while her friends didn't eat nearly as much as she did, they still enjoyed tasting all the pizza Karen had been ordering. If only someday both her friends would become superheroes, the three of them would make legendary eating contests.
"So, I saw a tall man trying to rob a bank. I have arrived and told him to surrender. He laughed, but after I defeated him, quite easily might I add, I think he peed his pants, complaining how a little girl took him down," said Karen, as the three kids laughed.
"We are helping the city," said Carter, smiling. "I am just concerned. Lillian Luthor and the Cyborg Superman were defeated. But General Lane is still out there."
"He can't run forever. Kara and her friends will find him. We can find him … we can find him! Let's find General Lane, and end Cadmus for good," said Ruby.
"Cadmus," said Karen, as her eyes briefly turned red, before returning to normal. "Cadmus are a bunch of evil people. They are so much full of hate. Lillian is the worst. And her second in command Cyborg Superman … I still can't believe he called himself after my cousin! Clark has been … rude before, but he has been more kind lately. But even at his worst, he always was better than the Cyborg Superman."
"I am going to check the satellites for any evidence where General Lane has escaped. Imagine, us three find him, and end Cadmus for good … our families will be amazed," said Carter.
"Yes, yes, let's find General Lane," said Karen.
"I am going to design you a modification for your suit; with so many Cadmus agents running out there, we need to protect you against Kryptonite," said Carter. That would be good, Kryptonite her, and Karen didn't want to deal with it anymore.
"Toast for us looking and eventually finding General Lane, and helping our families to end Cadmus, once and for all," said Ruby, lifting a glass of coca cola in the air. Karen laughed, grabbing a slice of pizza.
Lena sat in a café with Maggie. They were wearing their normal clothes; Lena felt a bit awkward wearing glasses, having her hair be in a ponytail. Lena liked Maggie, who would become her future sister in law one day, she just has never had a meeting with Maggie all alone. Suspicious, what did Maggie want to tell her, without either Kara or Alex present?
"Maggie, why did you want to meet this late?" Lena asked.
"I thought we should spend some time, after all, we will be sisters, well in law," said Maggie, smiling, and showing her dimples to Lena. Lena raised her eyebrow.
"Maggie," said Lena.
"Okay, I will be honest with you. You and I are Kryptonians now, Kara told what it meant in her culture," said Maggie.
"Yes, I remember, according to Krypton, Kara and I are engaged," said Lena.
"That's correct. But we are not on Krypton," said Maggie.
"You are right. Kara radiated with happiness when I told her I would be honored to follow that particular Kryptonian tradition," said Lena.
"Exactly! Little Luthor, what I am trying to say, let's work on a secret mission together to make our ladies happy," said Maggie. Lena raised her eyebrow once more.
"A secret mission?" Lena asked. "You want to propose to Alex."
"Yup. Kara told about bracelets and what they meant on Krypton; let's get these bracelets together, let's get our girlfriends the bracelets. I knew that one day you would become a Kryptonian; it was only a matter of time. When Kara told me what a romantic soul bond meant on Krypton, I decided to wait for you to become a Kryptonian; I wanted to work together, and get bracelets to our lovely superheroes, and for us two to propose to them the same day," said Maggie.
"Maggie," said Lena.
"Lena, it's okay, we don't have to do it, forget it," said Maggie quickly.
"No, no, I … your idea is amazing. Let's propose to Kara and Alex at the same time. I would enjoy searching for the perfect bracelets with my future sister in law," said Lena, as Maggie smiled, showing her dimples once more. Maggie was nice, the two of them would find perfect bracelets. Soon, they would officially become a family.
"Alright, but for now … I want a snack. I love feeling this powerful, having these powers, but this appetite … I would need to get used to it," said Lena, as she called the waiter and ordered a large pizza. While she had a heavy lunch with Kara earlier, she still craved some food. One shared pizza would do it.
Lena saw a small orb landed on the table, spreading red particles on the table that saturated the air around them. Lena coughed briefly. Lena looked at the direction where the orb came through, seeing Morgan Edge.
"You!" Lena rose up from her chair, and walked towards Morgan. He tried to run, but Lena quickly caught up, grabbed him by his hand, and sternly looked at him.
"Hey Miss Luthor, long time no seen," said Morgan.
"What have you done?" Lena asked, hoping her assumptions were wrong.
"Not much. I just used a slightly modified Red Kryptonite on you two," said Morgan. Lena noticed that Maggie appeared next to them. "Sorry to get you into this, Detective Sawyer. But this was the only opportunity when Miss Luthor was in public without Supergirl."
"Morgan," said Lena. Her eyes turned red. "Why?"
"Isn't it simple, Lena? I hate you. You became a Kryptonian, and provided me with a perfect opportunity to get revenge. You see, soon you will be consumed by Red Kryptonite, turning evil. Your girlfriend will see how evil and wicked you are," said Morgan, laughing, as Lena lifted him off the ground. "Go on, kill me. I am unarmed. Prove me right. Show to everyone how wicked Lena Luthor truly is."
"Pathetic human," said Lena, throwing Morgan on the ground. She didn't care that Morgan threw the red particles at them. She felt alive and strong. "You are nothing. You are just a worm, you don't even deserve to be next to my feet. Come Maggie, let's pay for this food. My feet are restless, I want to dance at the club nearby."
Maggie smiled. Lena and her future sister would have fun at the bar, and then Lena would return to Kara's apartment and would have her way with Kara. She would make her girlfriend happy. A wild night awaited them. But first, Lena wanted to break some chairs.
"Come, Maggie. Let's show the people of the National City that Lunargirl and Powercop can party," said Lena, grinning. She returned to the café, paid for food; Lena and Maggie went their separate ways, planning to meet soon at the bar. And meet they did, walking into the bar, wearing their costumes, and ordering some alcohol that Lena knew could actually affect them. Lena smiled, the night was still young.
