Authors Note: So...here we go again. A New Story. I was actually debating whether I should do this story like I always do them, one chapter at a time. However I don't like making people wait a long wait for just one chapter, I know I slack off in between making chapters on my previous stories and since I'm fresh into College, that time gap between each chapter would be horrendously long. So for this story, I'll be splitting and releasing multiple chapters at once in 'Acts'. College wont change me, I don't drop stories, I start what I finish.
Enjoy the story, there'll be more to come!
7-10 Out.
Fog reigned over the unfamiliar land; The night sky gave a mysterious atmosphere to whoever felt it. On the sidewalk there walked a dog, who constantly looked over his side every second he felt he wasn't alone. A German shepherd with a small rectangular case he carried, holding it tight as if at moment someone was going to take it from him, fearing for whatever was inside.
The timid canine remained pacing down the pavement before reaching a car parked on the side of the road. Unlocking the car and hoping right into the driver's seat.
Quickly shoving the rectangle case under his seat before raising his head up to check once more for anyone watching. Seeing nothing, no cars driving down the road and no one on the sidewalk. Reaching under his own seat to retrieve a small radio.
"I made it to the car, are there any Cops near me?" He asked, sounding a bit frantic from the tone in his voice at the same time.
"I'm not seeing any chatter so you're good to go, No deputies at the checkpoint either" The other voice responded.
"Okay, wish me luck" He replied, throwing the radio under the seat before reverting his eyes to the dash, turning the ignition of the car, feeling the vehicle slightly rock before the headlights flashed bright, turning his vehicle around in the opposite direction.
However, across the street, parked halfway inside an alley, inside behind the wheel was a man, a human who looked on at the dog driving away. Raising a radio at this mouth as he spoke.
"He's moving west bound, he put some case in the car, pull him over and take it" He said.
"10-4, On route to the west county line" The other person said, a strong indication of law enforcement from the way of words.
The driver pulling up his face mask as well and throwing on a dark cap to conceal his identity, slowly driving out the alley to reveal his black muscle car, and impressive and fast car indeed.
Meanwhile, the German shepherd stayed stoic throughout his drive and exceedingly cautious, not speeding, his paws on the wheel and obeying every traffic rule. Trying to do his utmost to not get noticed by the police of the county.
He looked up for a moment, eyeing his rear-view mirror to once against see no presence of anyone before driving out of the town down the lone road that lead out.
'You are now leaving Katt County'
The sign boldly stated as he drove by, breathing a sigh of relief before seeing the unfortunate lights behind him, flashing red and blue bright neon lights behind him along with the blaring siren to top off his fear.
The fright in the German shepherd's eyes would break even the coldest of hearts, gulping a block of saliva as he slowly pulled to the side, so did the patrol car behind.
He started to breathe heavily, his paws firmly on the steering wheel, anything else he knew would be foolish to even attempt. His ears perked up as he heard the patrol car's doors open and close at the same time.
Looking in his side mirror to see the officer approaching to see it was a cat, a cat officer in fact. ""H-Hi Officer, lovely ni-night huh?" The canine tried to smile, but it was fake, deep down he feared desperately for his own life.
the cat sternly starred at the German shepherd, not uttering a single word, not in the mood for any games or small talk, dark aviators covered his eyes along with a campaign hat covering his head.
The fake smile across the German shepherds muzzle turned a frown as he understood this wasn't a cop to joke with out of a ticket.
"W-Why'd you pull me over?" He asked in a shy way.
"I don't know, we'll figure it out as we go along" He said, teaching inside the driver side door to pull it open.
"Ummm, C-Can you do that?" The canine asked. "I just did, go ahead and step on out while you're at it" He motioned, leaning against the car door urging him to step out what.
"I-I take it I don't have a choice?"
"What do you think?" He replied, placing his paw against his assortment of tools across his feline body, especially his taser, rubbing against it gently, letting the German shepherd know what was up.
Reluctantly following the cop's orders and stepping out, shutting the door right after, unfortunately catching the German shepherds tail in the door.
The German shepherd yelped in a slight sting of pain. "You're a big dog, you can handle it" The cat replied to his pain, not so professional and compassionate.
"Why you leaving the county?"
"V-Vacation, Airport"
"Where to?"
"Jamaica"
"So early?"
"I-It's an early flight"
The cat nodded slowly as he followed along with the dog's story, leaning over to see back of his car to make a n observation.
"I don't see no bags in that car"
"Oh I-I travel light, really light"
"Uh huh, Well if there's nothing wrong then you won't mind if I do a little looking"
"I-I actually do please, I don't have anything to hide though" The German shepherd stuttered, not knowing what to do as the feline deputy past right past the backseat window.
"Hmmm, Don't know about you, but I'm smelling a strong scent of the devil's lettuce."
"W-what N-No Officer, I-I don't do drugs, I swear on my momma's life, I've never done any marijuana"
"Then what's this" The cat reached inside pulling out a small bag of a green shrub like material, neatly zipped in a small baggie. "N-No I've never seen that before in my life, Y-You put that there" The German shepherd exclaimed, in shock as the cop tucked the small baggie of drugs into his vest.
"Maybe I did, Maybe I didn't, That's your job to try and convince the jury" He approached the dog, turning his violently against his patrol car, pulling out a set of cuffs to arrest the canine.
"Please, why are you doing this to me?"
"Oh you know why, In this county, Folks like you aren't welcome, Dirty mutts that don't belong and ruin everything an honest cat is trying to do, Have fun in the kennel with all the other criminal hounds" The cat shouted, his fangs bared out, his grip on the canine tightened as he fangs sprung out, piercing his skin.
The German Shepherd, although much bigger than the Cat Cop, felt like a mouse to a giant. Although this giant wasn't afraid of anything, The cat knew he had complete control whether he was in bounds of the law or not. Within a moment, a second car came revving down the road, slowing itself down and pulling behind the cat's patrol car. The headlights of the bright newly arrived car made it unclear who it was, there was no patrol lights and no indication of Law Enforcement.
However, the cat anticipated who it was. "Hes all your sir" He said, grabbing the canine and shoving his to the side of the gutter. Unready by the throw, falling onto his back with his face up to the night sky. He grunted upon the fall right after as he felt a human hand grab him by his neck.
Forcefully bring him back up to meet face to face with a man, his face covering in a black mask and hat from before. "Where is it"
"What?" The German shepherd asked seeing the expression on the man's face turn violent, as so did his actions. Placing both his palms around the German shepherd's neck and shoving him against the doors of the police car.
"I said…. WHERE IS IT!" He shouted as the fear in the dog shot up tenfold. "Found it!" The cat said, as both the German shepherd and man turned their heads to see the deputy walking back with the hidden case in his claws.
"O-O-Okay, Hear me out, I'm just a courier for them, I don't do any of hard stuff I promise. Just don't hurt me please, I-I can tell you anything you want to know about-"
"Oh I know almost everything about your little 'resistance' against the Mayor, I know your leaders and all. Here's what I'm gonna do, I'm going to take this car, take that case, and make you send a message everyone else that believes the same as you do"
"O-Okay, Just say it, I'll deliver it to them asap" The German shepherd offered, before the man reached into his dark jacket, pulling out a large and sharp knife and raising it just inches away from the German shepherd's eyes.
"We'll get more into that in a bit, but for now, I want to see what exactly those dogs had you carrying out of the county" He said, grabbing the German shepherd by the throat as he dragged his over to the cop, grabbing the case out of his claws as he threw the German shepherd down to the ground.
"Ahh!" His head hitting the asphalt first as he looked up to see the man, casually breaking open the case with his large knife, the top half popping right open to reveal the contents. Although most of the man's face was covered, he could tell by his eyes he wasn't pleased with whatever he saw.
"Do you take me for some kind of fool?" He said, throwing down the case to reveal nothing, nothing was in the case after all. "I know damn well they didn't send you to break through the county lines just to deliver nothing, What's your purpose!" He shouted as he drew the blade out on the canine.
"A-A distraction" The dog muttered.
"For what!" He ordered back, before feeling a strong vibration in his pocket he knew too well. With one hand, he reached down to retrieve his phone, raising the screen to his eyes to see it was an alarm for the Signal Towers in the county.
Signaling to him that some message broke through out into the world. "Those clever fuckers actually did it, they got their little help signal outside the county, too bad it costed them one dog to do it" He said, kneeling down to the canine who looked on with genuine fear in his eyes as the cat cop looked on, observing the event unfold.
