(Peter's House)
"Fuck me am I dead?" Venom asked himself as he felt himself and Peter stir from unconsciousness.
"That would explain why my head hurts." Peter said to him picking himself up "The hell are you doing?" he asked as Venom was…checking himself out.
"I'm missing bio mass." Venom said to him.
"So can't you make more?" Peter asked as that was a process he never understood as symbiotes could apparently make more biomass with a host, but never themselves, he always wondered if that was a parasitic thing where they ate from the host's body or something.
"Yes, but I don't know how I lost it, we were…oh shit Felicia!" Venom said as Peter's eyes widened as he shot up and they looked at the bed "Oh shit." he said to himself.
Both of them saw a female silhouette that was Felicia, she was encased in what they could only guess was Venom's biomass only it was a dark grey almost greyish platinum color.
"Can you get it off her?" Peter asked him curiously.
"No, but we have bigger issues." Venom said looking at Felicia "Peter…that's a new symbiote, it has a consciousness." he said as he explained to Peter that all symbiotes were born in various ways and all of them different from each other.
Peter was now concerned, if she had a symbiote that could be all kinds of trouble "Can you, I don't know get a read off it?" he asked Venom.
"Yeah, telepath I am not, but hold on." Venom said getting closer and licking the spot covering Felicia's hand "It's made of me and Felicia's super soldier DNA." he said to him.
"How do you know her name?" Peter asked not knowing that.
"Before the connection snapped I put a tendril at the base of her brain, you think I was gonna let this chick get away when we know next to noting about her." Venom said having seen her run away in Peter's memories and was there upon their first meeting so he knew what she was like.
"Is there any way we can talk to the symbiote while she's unconscious?" Peter asked him curious not sure about the rules.
"Probably, this symbiote is new and under regular circumstances depending how deep the connection is, it may not be as connected to her where it's affected by her physical state." Venom said as it sent out a tendril and touched the symbiote around Felicia.
They both watched as a tendril shot out and soon formed a head similar to Venom "Hiya Venom." the symbiote said teasingly in a female voice.
"I swear to all that is holy if she has Black Cat's personality I will kill you." Peter said to Venom.
"Hey Spider." the symbiote said winking his way.
"You got a name?" Venom asked as symbiotes picked their own names.
"Call me…Riot." Riot said to them.
"And I thought Venom's name was in poor taste." Peter said receiving a symbiote tendril slap to the back of his head "Listen enough games, is Felicia going to be ok?" he asked Riot wondering what she knew or was doing.
"She'll be fine once I help her body adjust." Riot said having been making all sorts of modifications to Felicia's benefit.
"Hey, two questions are you Venom's daughter?" Peter asked Riot "And second are you an actual female?" he asked never considering gender with the symbiotes before.
"In reverse order yes technically, we emulate the gender we are part of when we join someone and not exactly, symbiotes have been dividing for as long as we can remember, we're cut from the same cloth sort to speak, I'm not his daughter despite coming from him, we have no true connection besides the basic symbiote stuff." Riot said to him simply.
"She doesn't have my powers does she?" Peter asked Venom curiously.
"No chance, we symbiotes don't pass abilities we ourselves get as individuals." Venom said to him as they were all born with squat and got their own stuff wherever and however they could.
"Well that's one less scary thing on my mind." Peter said not needing his powers getting spread around.
"So, you gonna kill us or do some other bs?" Venom asked Riot curiously.
"Please, my host is too much fun for that nonsense." Riot said before re-entering Felicia.
Peter looked at Venom oddly.
"Listen my race is pretty fucked up ok, trust me if you knew how they were, you'd look at me and think I was the symbiote equivalent of you." Venom said as his race either conquered or did some other things to satisfy their own personal agenda.
"Ok that, is a little terrifying." Peter said to him as Venom nodded to him.
(1 hour later)
"Thanks Riot." Peter said as he was working with her to see Felicia's bloodwork "She's getting more and more stable." he said thankfully.
"Mind explaining how she's changing from blonde to platinum?" Riot asked him curiously as her host was switching hair colors in unconciousness.
"It's a mutation of the serum, it's allowing her to activate dormant genes inside her and allowing her to deactivate them." Peter said as Felicia's father was an albino and her mother was a natural blonde.
"Oh, my head." Felicia said as she woke up.
"Hey how you feeling?" Peter asked her.
"Like my organs are on fire." Felicia said to him being completely serious.
"Maybe that'll teach you not to inject your ass with things you don't know." Peter said to her.
Felicia was about to say something before something tapped her cheek, she slowly turned and saw a grey head on a tendril coming out of her body.
"Hi, Felicia." Riot said to her in amusement.
Peter watched in amusement Venom appeared next to him from out of his shoulder as they watched Felicia panic.
"You bitch!" Riot said as Felicia slammed her face with a book.
"Where's your money on that?" Peter asked Venom curiously.
"Eh, not sure, one is a brand new symbiote, the other is kinda crazy, can't call it." Venom said to him just as Felicia grabbed Riot by the 'throat' and crashed through Peter's bedroom wall.
(20 minutes later)
"You two halfwits done destroying my house?" Peter asked as Felicia was on the floor and relatively calmed down, he helped her up and explained what happened.
"I have an alien inside me?" Felicia asked looking at her body before seeing Riot shoot out of her shoulder.
"Heya partner." Riot said to her wickedly wanting to scare her a bit.
"Trust me it was that or you die from Super Soldier Serum." Peter said to her "Oh also, you'll find you have a craving for meat and chocolate." he said to her explaining one of the dietary needs to hosting a symbiote.
"Yeah is that why I'm blonde?" Felicia asked before seeing her hair flash back to her natural platinum.
"Riot mind explaining that one later?" Peter asked as Riot made another tendril appear above her head tendril and gave a salute to him "Listen, I kinda have a problem and you literally just became the solution." he said as when he was testing her blood he saw that she was a match to Captain America.
"Not the worst pick up line I've ever heard." Felicia said to him before seeing he wasn't joking.
(next day)
Fury stared at the blood bag curiously as Peter told him this treatment would be a long one as they couldn't drain the new super soldier till she was empty, but he made valid concerns when he told him about how long it would take Captain America to readjust from being in cryo and that as long as he avoided any strenuous activity he'd be fine and the damage he had wouldn't progress, Peter assured him that there would be a blood back each month, baring any accidents.
(with Peter)
"I can't believe you got suckered into this." Venom said to Peter helping Felicia move some furniture into an empty room he had.
"It's not like I had much choice, for one she has a symbiote we know fuck all about, two she has the cure to Captain freaking America in her veins, and three…she said she wanted a fresh start." Peter said to him as he and Felicia talked and she apologized for their last meeting, having not known the tragic history between him and her father.
"Yeah and the fact she wants to sleep with you and 'asked' to move in left you speechless." Venom said as his host was weak to the fairer sex.
"Hey, quit talking shit Venom, you need to learn how to treat women with more respect." Felicia said to him.
"Says the bitch making Peter pick all this crap up, when said bitch also has super strength." Venom said rolling his eyes a bit.
"It's called chivalry dumbass learn it." Felicia said shooting him a glare and winking Peter's way.
'He may be onto something.' Peter thought to himself seeing how he may have been weaker to the opposite sex "So you done abusing the symbiote shapeshifting?" he asked as this morning he found Felicia looking at herself in the mirror changing her clothes with Riot's help, Riot even changed her color to match Felicia's hair.
"Hey, not our fault we look good." Felicia said to him proudly.
Peter halted at that moment "We?" he asked her curiously.
Venom was also curious about that as a host was often close to permanently bonding, Felicia has had her symbiote for a day 'To be fair though, Peter's will is stronger than Eddie's ever was.' he thought to himself as most symbiotes could take over a person's body almost instantly, it took him weeks to get to that point with Peter showing how strong he was, to hear Felicia say we was a bit surprising and expected.
"I told Felicia about the bond you and Venom have." Riot said to them.
"I'd set some ground rules, me and Venom had some… miscommunication issues." Peter said as Venom was silent at that as he had to admit he was a bit of a dick at that point to Peter.
"Well I like to have fun Riot likes to have fun seems pretty straightforward to me." Felicia said tossing Riot some beef jerky she got for her.
Peter and Venom felt a bit insulted, that somehow Felicia and Riot were in a more mentally sound mental partnership than them.
'She is technically made from Felicia's DNA.' Venom said to Peter mentally as it was possible that Riot retained Felicia's base instincts which made them like minded beings.
"Listen be careful the bond is permanent." Peter said wanting her to think about it.
"Works for you." Felicia said to him "Plus I am loving this really cool shit we can do." she said making cat claws appear.
Peter had to admit she was taking this a lot better than expected.
(1 hour later)
Felicia wandered around the house bored to tears as Peter had 'forbidden' her from joining him on patrol till she learned better control as she was still changing hair color, she did have to give him credit that she could keep her hair platinum as Black Cat and blonde whenever she was her regular self, it added protection if she was ever captured, plus she was loving the strength the formula provided.
"We should claim him." Riot said to Felicia.
Felicia looked at her partner curiously.
"You heard him talking to that girl…Rogue." Riot said growling out the name.
Felicia did in fact hear it, her new powers gave her super hearing allowing her to spy more easily "Please I am better than some bitch with an accent." she said to her confidently.
"Better to be safe than sorry, claim him." Riot said as she felt Felicia's denial and constant struggle with her feelings, but deep down she craved Peter.
Felicia was silent and was left to her thoughts or as much of her thoughts as Riot would allow her.
(next day)
"I can't believe you enrolled in school." Peter said to her "How'd you pull that off?" he asked her curiously.
"Well that Coulson guy called me and I asked." Felicia said as Coulson called to inform her she'd be under monitoring given what she had inside her, instead of asking she threatened to runaway to another country and go into hiding till they gave her what she wanted, her requests were simple, clean record as Black Cat and Felicia, some upgrades for her gear, and she'd get to go to school with Peter.
Peter raised a brow but knew asking Felicia was pointless as was asking Coulson as the man kept everything close to the vest except what he told Fury.
They made it to school and Peter took her to the office.
"So how's…maintaining your blondness?" Peter asked having no other way to ask the question as Felicia had been practicing and so far she had been able to maintain the change.
"Feels weird, I like my regular look." Felicia said knowing it was better to be safe than sorry with her appearance as platinum hair was easier to find than blonde.
(Raven's office)
Raven looked over Felicia's records, they were a mess, her grades varied as in some she was a good stunt others showed no effort, and she missed many classes according to her record, she had many suspensions, and multiple comments written down, but Raven spotted a familiar detail 'Isn't this Peter's address?' she thought to herself wondering whom this girl was.
(few hours later)
"How did you get this number?" Rogue asked impatiently as she got an unknown call and the list of people who had it were two, Destiny and Spider-man.
"Temper temper Rogue." Mystique said over the line "I need you to keep an eye on someone." she said to her "Felicia Hardy, she is close to Peter Parker, I want to know how and why." she aid to her.
Rogue raised a brow as she knew Lance and the others were curious about Peter, especially since he could be one of them, a mutant, but she didn't know Mystique was curious as well "Why is she so important if she's close to him?" she asked her.
"They are living together for one." Mystique said to her trying to arouse her curiosity as that was Rogue's weakness her curious nature "And she may have powers as well." she said as during the past few hours she discovered Felicia's records were as well protected as Peter's own records, so the chance that she possessed powers was large if not guaranteed "You and Peter possess some of the same classes, she is in every one of his classes." she said to her as Rogue possessed a higher IQ than most of her peers that was the main reason she had the same classes as Peter.
Rogue had to admit this made things a bit more interesting as while she had momentary interactions with Peter in and outside class she was curious about him.
(few hours later)
"Did you have to hold my arm the entire day?" Peter asked her flatly.
"Didn't want to lose you in the crowd." Felicia said cutely.
"Oh yeah doing it in front of the girls' swim team, soccer team, cheerleaders, and the principal." Peter said as this was a long day.
"Yo Parker!" Toad said calling out from Lance's van.
"Hold that thought." Peter said walking over, Felicia not looking interested.
'No possible way he's gay.' Felicia thought to herself as the guys were very unappealing to both sexes.
"So bro, who is that smokin' babe that's been following you around all day?" Toad asked his eyes never leaving Felicia.
"She's a stray." Peter said knowing Felicia heard that and smiled knowing she was glaring at him.
"Whatever, she's not that pretty." Pietro said to himself.
"This coming from the guy who made an ass of himself, no wait your ass was leading you." Lance said as Pietro tried hitting on Felicia earlier at lunch, she threw her tray to the ground and moved so close to Pietro's face many thought she would kiss him, but she pushed him back making him land on her tray and as he tried to get up and walk away he stumbled landing on the Brotherhood's table as Felicia managed to tie his shoes in the confusion.
"So home boy lay the deets she single or are you just hogging all the babes to yourself?" Toad asked Peter simply.
"What babes is he hogging?" Lance asked knowing girls found Peter cute, but after how Felicia had been marking her territory all day, he doubted any were dumb enough to try.
"Rogue stupid." Toad said whispering it to him.
Lance actually paused at that as Rogue was rather friendly with him, maybe Toad was onto something.
"She's single." Peter said to them.
"I wouldn't be if someone didn't lock their damn door!" Felicia said to him loudly.
"Whoa whoa hold up, she's tried breaking into your house?" Toad asked the question on the males of the Brotherhood's minds.
"No, just my bedroom, we live together." Peter said knowing what was gonna happen next.
"So no parental supervision, you live with a woman, one that wants to sleep with you might I add, and she tries to break into your room….are you gay?" Lance asked Peter who flipped him off.
"She got a sister?" Fred asked as Peter shook his head.
"So what you into blondes?" Pietro asked him always willing to talk about the opposite sex given he was surrounded by guys and Rogue who he couldn't touch without risk of death "God there are so few hot girls at this school." he said as the city had variety at the very least.
As the men talked Felicia was bored out of her mind as all of them had an ego that made hers seem small, she noticed she had another set of eyes on her "Rogue right?" she asked sounding civil as she put together that Rogue didn't know Peter very well knowing she only knew him as Spider-man and not that he and Peter Parker were one and the same.
"Yeah, nice to meet you." Rogue said to her.
Felicia was a bit bothered with the southern bell, given Peter or rather Spider-man cared so much about her, she had learned through May that Peter had terrible luck with women, not that Felicia herself helped that statement, but she understood his desire despite not knowing about it till recently.
Felicia understood Peter wanted to open himself to others or rather, truly open himself to someone as hiding yourself was extremely difficult, she hated being Felicia because she wanted to be Black Cat more, but after talking to Madam Web she now understood that was impossible, even with her ability to change her hair color having Felicia be blonde and Black Cat platinum, it still didn't change anything, plus having an alter ego along with new powers and a symiote, Felicia felt there was a divide between her and other people, but she understood Peter better than anyone and now more than ever.
"So I heard a rumor going around about you." Rogue said simply getting Felicia's attention.
"If it's the one where people think I had surgery to get my features the answer is no, I am all natural." Felicia said proudly, folding her hands under her bust.
"...I was talking about the one where people are saying you live with Peter." Rogue said now checking Felicia out feeling a bit self conscious.
"Oh, that one is true, I'm living the dream, handsome guy, he can cook, and can keep me entertained." Felicia said coyly seeing Rogue look at her in surprise.
"Are you two…dating?" Rogue asked using a more appropriate word than the one she was thinking.
"Nope, but I am staking my claim, trust me, he is worth it, I've seen…all kinds of men and he is worth more than all of them put together." Felicia said honestly as after her perspective was 'corrected' she saw him for who he truly was.
Rogue was a little confused as Felicia seemed to have nothing but the utmost respect and best opinion of Peter.
(next day)
Peter got his bloodwork back and saw nothing really surprising 'Didn't even get my spider DNA.' he thought a little glad that wasn't detected.
Unknown to Peter as he poured his blood down the drain, the sample was not his, or rather the one given back to him wasn't his.
(with Mystique)
Mystique was wondering what Magneto would do with Peter's blood, he rambled to himself that Peter's blood would kill anyone lesser than a mutant, but it was still risky to just inject his blood into a mutant and hope for the best, but under the right circumstances, Magneto could believe he could alter his blood for whatever target he chose, but another concern was the amount of blood as Magneto only had the one vial and it be unknown how much would be needed for a full change 'For all Magneto knows, that vial is enough for one mutant.' she thought as she asked him if he had intentions of going after Peter and to her surprise he said no, she was surprised by the respect and absolution in his tone, when this man experimented on her newborn he had no concerns or restraints in doing so even knowing he had the X-gene.
Mystique wondered what Peter's blood could do, because to her knowledge of what little she understood, the basics of cross-species genetics, was combing DNA with a foreign DNA 'But for a mutant those with already altered DNA.' she thought as the X-gene changed and altered certain strands of DNA like herself, her own DNA could be changed on a whim, she could be a person or even an animal, adding cross species to her would make her powers even more dangerous.
Mystique was a bit glad that Peter's unique DNA would be of little use to Magneto himself as while the man took performance enhancers of his own making which were a rarity, cross species didn't seem to enhance anyone with nothing added as Peter had been a cross species his whole life and she looked as far as she could into his past, he was weak before whatever caused him to get powers, he needed glasses, he was skinny, had no muscle, he was weak and meager, in all honesty there was no upside for Magneto all things considered.
But a stray thought was brought to Mystique's mind 'He might try to combine a mutant…with a donor.' she thought in realization as mutants had unique DNA much like Peter's, but with cross species it might allow the X-gene to be mutated or evolved or have something added to it from another mutant.
It was something Mystique was sure would cross Magneto's mind, but what truly scared her was who he'd use or what mutant would be his target 'I pray it's not Logan or Sabertooth.' she thought for many reasons as both were immortal or rather eternally youthful and extremely hard to kill, she prayed neither of them would be the donor or test subject as she had seen their work first hand and if Magneto gained that power, he'd be what he had been trying to achieve even if he didn't acknowledge it, he'd be a god.
Mystique wondered to herself if she could do it to herself who would be a good donor, her list was short as it came down to Rogue, Pietro, Sabertooth, Peter, and a fellow blue skinned mutant named Copycat with powers similar but much more powerful than her own, she picked Rogue as she knew of Rogue's potential to fully siphon a person or rather just mutants to completely gain their power, Pietro was self explanatory as with his speed her stealth would reach a new level and give her more opportunity to both infiltrate and escape, Sabertooth was a hard pill for her to even consider as his senses and physical abilities along with his healing made him ideal, plus her shapeshifting made it possible for her to hide an undesirable traits like fur or hair she'd possibly grow, Peter was a clear choice as his unique DNA and powers would've given her as much as an advantage with Sabertooth, and finally Copcat as while they had the same powers, Copycat could copy a unique person's powers and use them, that power alone would push Raven's own power to shapeshift beyond anything and all but give her an ability similar to Rogue, each option was highly desirable, but she would need Peter's blood to do so along with the blood of the other person she'd use if she didn't chose Peter.
(with Felicia)
"Cross species genetics?" Felicia asked Peter as he was working in his lab.
"Something my father worked on." Peter said taking a sample of his blood "And I think he gave it to me." he said to her.
"He gave you?" Felicia asked him wondering what the hell that was about.
"Yeah, something had been bugging me recently and needed to check it out." Peter said having been examining certain things about his DNA.
"Anything interesting?" Felicia asked as only about a third of what Peter researched interested her.
"I got the thing that gave me powers and check this out this is your blood." Peter said moving the microscope to her.
Felicia saw the blood, she saw one that seemed to be breaking apart another sample.
"And this is your super soldier blood." Peter said to her "This venom that changed me, is killing your super soldier cells." he said as he was guessing if the spider that bit him, bit anyone else, they'd be dead "Safe to say if it happened to anyone else, they'd be pushing up daisies." he said to her.
Felicia was a little sickened by that thought, glad she found the super soldier serum and not Peter's spider venom.
"Funny thing is, this was killing Venom before." Peter said as it was interesting, that this could kill everyone even an alien symbiote, but not him.
'And now I'm better than ever!' Venom said inside Peter's mind.
'Hey I never asked but how does that work, I cured you with my white blood cells, but you still have it in you, does that make you half spider and half symbiote?' Peter asked Venom mentally.
'No idea, probably explains my mutation a bit better though.' Venom said in thought wondering how much he changed as he switched colors, but never thought to look past that.
"So what, are you trying to make more of you 'cause I don't think I can get more super." Felicia said to him simply.
"You're actually wrong about that." Peter said seeing her confusion "The super soldier serum didn't change your DNA it enhanced it, you can still be changed in theory." he said to her.
"That sounds awesome, got any cat DNA?" Felicia asked him quickly "No, cheetah, jaguar, tiger, no wait…a lion!" she said in excitement.
"Listen I don't carry a zoo ok, the DNA you are asking for is rare, hell you'd have to get live samples of blood or go after Kraven." Peter said getting to work.
"Kraven?" Felicia asked till Peter gave her a newspaper of a large cat man.
"I did a little digging and Miles Warren made Kraven into a jungle cat, he's fused with…every African wild cat there is." Peter said as Shield got his DNA and he ran tests to make a cure as Kraven was more beast than man.
"So give me some of that then." Felicia said seeing Peter raise a brow as he looked at her.
"Kraven was given injections over a period of weeks FORCING his DNA to change and the result was violent as you can see and also permanent, he has fur Felicia and I'm pretty sure you'd like to remain…hairless." Peter said pointing down.
Felicia winced at that thought as fur didn't sound appealing "Can't you make your own formula?" she asked him curiously.
"Felicia seriously you're a super soldier what more can you want?" Peter asked her as this was a little much.
"Oh c'mon it would be awesome to be more cat like, can't you do it?" Felicia asked him as she pouted.
"I mean in theory yeah, but I'd need Warren's notes on what he DID to Kraven cause he'd have need to taken blood samples and everything." Peter said seeing Felicia run away "And she's gonna go rob Warren." he said not too bothered by that as Warren was a madman.
(2 hours later)
"Well, this is…something." Peter said to himself as Felicia had a high-end flash drive and showed him what she stole from Warren's computer.
"What did I get the wrong files?" Felicia asked him wondering if she got the wrong thing.
"No you got the right thing and that's the problem." Peter said showing her the files "Most of this is just…cut and dry, it's basically butchery in genetic research." he said as his father's research improved the human body, what Warren was trying to obtain was akin to the Lizard and Kraven, he was trying to alter humanity itself or rather trying to create perfection playing god.
Felicia may not have understood much of this, but she could see what Peter was pointing out "Hey isn't that the girl you know?" she asked spotting a name in a folder of Warren's experiments all of them were animals or criminals.
Peter paused seeing a folder named 'Stacy, Gwendolin', Peter paused for a moment before opening it, there were…articles and photos.
"She works for this guy right?" Felicia said feeling a little creeped out seeing pictures of the girl as a child "Her dad's the police captain, we can drop a dime on him, she's 17." she said to him as this was inappropriate at least and given she was a minor, the man would be arrested.
"Look at this." Peter said pulling up a DNA helix "He has her DNA." he said to her.
"Given this guy made Kraven and Scorpion, should we be concerned?" Felicia asked him as him having this much information on a person was not really comforting.
Peter was thinking along the same lines before looking deeper 'Multiple samples?' he thought seeing that they were filed differently than others and soon pulled up more DNA strands.
"What are these?" Felicia asked seeing each strand looked different from the original.
"These are DNA samples they all belong to Gwen, but there are large differences." Peter said greatly confused before making a call.
(10 minutes later)
"Alright thanks." Peter said to Fury before hanging up "Gwen's fine and Fury has someone on her." he said as he wanted her as safe as possible right now.
"Hey I'm looking at this DNA and all I'm seeing is gibberish." Felicia said to him not really seeing anything.
"Some of the DNA is missing key components and some is altered and some…is very familiar." Peter said hoping he was wrong.
"You see familiar DNA inside another person?" Felica asked as while not a scientist, she could read between the lines.
Peter sighed "Yeah, the DNA strands are familiar." he said pointing out a few "This right here is Goblin blood." he said as he once hacked into the facility Harry was at and copied a blood sample, but given how close Warren was with Oscorp, it could've been Norman's "This over here isn't even DNA." he said pointing at a helix that looked less like one "It's Sandman's silicates, it's a trick he learned in prison, I'm not sure how, but I think he has geokinisis and it resembles a human as much as possible, he doesn't have blood, but his entire being is just that." he said not even sure how this was possible.
"So what her DNA is just a Petri dish?" Felicia asked not sure which was more concerning the man being a stalker or a mad scientist.
"Maybe?" Peter said to her "All in all he's using her DNA as a template." he said as that was still creepy.
"Think you can fix Kraven's cat formula?" Felicia asked wanting to change the subject.
Peter sighed and analyzed it "Seems simple enough, you won't get much out of it though." he said as while Kraven was his equal as his mutant cat self, it was only due to his body being in peak physical condition beforehand, it made his intense muscles stronger, Felicia might get a strength increase, but overall it would just be her senses that got improved along with a few cat traits.
"I'm fine with that." Felicia said as she'd rather try and fail "You can cure it worst case scenario right?" she asked wanting some clarity incase it all went to hell.
"Hands down, like I said Warren butchered this formula." Peter said to her.
(few hours later with Mystique)
'I swear, this is disturbing.' Mystique thought as she had taken blood samples from all the Brotherhood and the ones most similar to Peter's cross species were herself, Rogue, and somehow Toad, it made sense from a certain standpoint as Toad was a literal animal mutant, but somehow he was a closer match to Peter's cross species state somehow 'Surprised Magneto never discovered this.' she thought to herself as her own son had animalistic and she was sure Magneto took plenty of 'samples' much to her annoyance.
Mystique was able to remove the foreign DNA from Peter and given Magneto he would as well, he had taken the vial but she still had the small sample she took for testing 'How will I get more.' she thought to herself as killing him wasn't an option for a magnitude of reasons, neither was cutting him as the sample needed to be clean and untainted 'Pietro?' she thought then remembering that Peter caught him easily enough, she needed a way to get a clean sample.
"Reporting possible break in." a voice over a radio on Mystique's person said.
Mystique was not in a lab she could afford, she broke in and deactivated the alarm, she was on the police ban encase anyone got wise to her entry, she listened and saw it was somewhere nearby, just not here.
"Spider-man seen approaching the location." another voice said.
Mystique was now curious, she wanted to see the famed vigilante in action 'Peter takes his photos.' she thought as it was one of the many things she had looked into.
(few minutes later)
Mystique was rarely fooled, but this caught her eye 'So Peter IS Spider-man.' she thought as the voices were similar, but what really gave him away were his moves, she recognized body language or rather the language a person's body spoke 'Best I keep this to myself.' she thought as there was rarely information Magneto told anyone if he knew and didn't say there was a reason, if he didn't this information was possibly worth more to her to keep FROM him 'Can't let the others know.' she thought as Pietro would run to his father or worse run his mouth 'Rogue knows him and he protects her.' she thought to herself as that was a pro all on its own.
Peter being Spider-man had many pros in itself for mutant kind 'It's no revelation of mutant kind, but it's a start.' she thought to herself 'I wonder.' she thought wondering if Peter was as big a scientist as she thought.
(few minutes later)
'No Felicia.' Mystique thought as she turned into said woman in the event Peter came back, she searched the house and soon found what she was looking for, his lab 'Where is the freezer.' she thought to herself as blood needed to be refrigerated so it stood to reason that was the only and first place she should look.
Mystique found what she was looking for, she saw vials and literal blood bags.
'He's examining his blood.' Mystique thought looking at the vials before looking at a blood bag 'Hopefully this is untainted.' she thought checking a medical waste bin seeing an empty blood bag 'He does all this and no one knows who he is.' she thought as that was as noble and honorable as it got, doing it all for no credit, it reminded her of herself and her former black ops/assassin jobs, her reputation was famous, mysterious, and unknown as no one ever truly knew of her and it made it hard to build her reputation 'This blood bag alone is worth 10 or more vials.' she thought needing to stash this and a bit short on time.
(few days later)
Mystique had been using all her free time to break down Peter's blood, unfortunately, that was easier said than done as besides the spider DNA she had to remove there was also the radiation, mutants were generally resistant to some forms of radiation, Magneto was even in the process of using it to make them stronger, she had a viable sample of spider free blood, but the radiation was still present, she had done another test using her and the altered blood, it did the same as before absorbing her X-gene, but she was mostly monitoring her cells, this took time, she placed them under a microscope that was recording how it'd go, she waited a few days and then saw the results, she watched as her red blood cells became momentarily damaged before repairing themselves and then Peter's cells seemed less aggressive and soon she saw them working with her cells 'So lets see the other test.' she thought looking at another sample as she was curious to know if Peter's radiation could benefit or kill mutants.
The answer was not what Mystique was expecting.
Peter's blood when containing the radiation killed a third of her cells, but her X-gene looked to be glowing somehow, whether if this was positive or negative she had no idea.
Mystique took out the two vials of altered blood, the safe one was the non-radioactive blood given it would improve her, but she was curious about the radioactive blood with mutants 'Split the difference.' she thought taking a needle taking half of the blood in both vials and putting it into an injector and used it on herself.
(next day)
"You're not going?" Rogue asked Peter given he loved science of all kinds.
"Yeah, I don't do the cold." Peter said as he really didn't have a choice as no thermals in 20 below temperatures, would severely slow him down, it was one thing for being Peter, but if he needed to do something as Spider-man, he'd be hindered.
Rogue shrugged not seeing the need to push the issue, she got on the bus and waved at Peter glad he saw her off, she got on her phone already bored and didn't want to talk to anyone else.
"Talking to a certain spider?" Jean asked in the empty seat across from her.
"I swear, if you start like Kitty, I will drain you and throw you with the luggage." Rogue said very seriously.
"Hey it's interesting, I mean you know a celebrity who is an actual hero." Jean said to her.
Rogue rolled her eyes, Spider-man was all those things, but she focused mostly on the person rather than the things he had done 'These people are such suck-ups.' she thought to herself, it wasn't better at the Brotherhood house as after the Scorpion debacle the other Brotherhood members had various opinions, Lance remained slightly indifferent not caring about heroics but had respect for Spider-man, Pietro mainly commented on there wouldn't be much press to catch him 'saving the day', Toad thought given he was a wall-crawler himself thought he could be as good as Spider-man that got a lot of laughs, and Fred was a giant baby, he wanted that attention thinking he rightfully deserved it given his former performance job.
"Mind sending him another apology for me?" Scott asked just showing up.
"Seriously what do you all want from him, I'm pretty sure he blows you off much better than I can?" Rogue asked as it was a bit impressive how little fucks he gave about the X-men and Brotherhood.
"We're just trying to be friends with the guy, he saved Jean and he save Kurt." Scott said to her.
"And you made an ass of yourself both times." Rogue said as she wished she took photos.
Jean starred at her wondering if she could get Spider-man's number from her mind, when she tried, she was blocked 'That's odd.' she thought knowing she had heard Rogue's thoughts before, it was odd for a person to not have shields one minute than have them all of a sudden.
"Do that again and I will kill you." Rogue said having felt Jean's mental probe, it was like she got hit in the head, she demonstrated her point by sending a telekinetic wave at Jean causing her head to hit the glass.
Jean winced grabbing her head feeling a headache.
"You didn't need to do that." Scott said checking on Jean.
"And she didn't need to try and read my mind." Rogue said changing seats.
"You ok?" Scott asked Jean wondering how badly she hit her head.
"Yeah, but how'd she do that?" Jean asked as Scott just stared at her "Scott…she didn't touch me and she used my power." she said as it was small, but that was it.
Scott felt this was very concerning.
Rogue took a random seat and prayed those two got the message.
"Well isn't this a nice surprise." Felicia said to Rogue.

'This is absolutely incredible.' Mystique thought to herself in her bedroom as ever since she injected herself with Peter's blood her powers had gotten stronger, for one thing, she seemingly had blue scales on her body as her base form and her eyes had no white to them anymore, they were fully yellow, she learned she had developed night vision, incredible flexibility, and agility well past her original skills, this was a turning point for her 'Hmmm I still have the option of adding DNA to myself.' she thought heavily considering Peter's given how well his blood turned out for herself.
(with Peter)
"Here's your blood." Peter said as he was hooking it into a defrosted Captain America.
"Doctors are getting younger these days." Steve said to Peter.
"Not a doctor, legally speaking." Peter said to him "I am just smart enough to do your treatment." he said to him.
"You know I can get you an honorary degree, right?" Fury asked at the door looking at Peter and Steve.
"You look like a person from my unit." Steve said to him not really sure what else to say.
"My grandfather, a pleasure to meet you in person cap." Fury said in total and complete honesty, a rarity in his position "This is Peter Parker aka Spider-man." he said as Peter gave him a dry look.
"You know if it was anyone else, I'd be pissed you are telling someone my secret ID so casually." Peter said to him.
"What has happened with Hydra?" Steve asked the burning question on his mind.
"Less powerful than the war, but still active." Peter said to him seeing his frustration "Hydra killed my parents' pal, I know how you feel." he said to him seeing his sympathetic look.
"He's right as Hydra has just a few thousand soldiers at best." Fury said as those Nazi bastards had much more numbers back in the day and while the rules of engagement have changed, it didn't mean they were losing by any means.
Steve smiled glad that there was SOME progress while he was on ice.
"You may wanna change Logan will be here." Fury said to him.
Peter saw this as a good a time as any to decide as he mentioned to Logan who he was as according to Fury, Logan barely got his mind read unless he allowed it, telling him who he was a bit of a gamble.
(1 hour later)
Logan rarely if ever thanked anyone, saving the life of his friend more than earned Spider-man a handshake.
'We are not helping his ass.' Venom said to Peter as he had enough of the attempt with Felicia, he didn't feel like risking his neck for a guy with only memory problems.
Peter had to admit, this seemed like a small issue in comparison to Felicia definitely dying "Listen Logan, Fury got me on this because he thinks I can somehow derail Magneto's plans." he said to him in total honesty.
Logan was silent as while he had many opinions between this war between the X-men and Brootherhood, thinking they should've been doing everything in their power to put Magneto down like a certain dictator of a certain group back in his and Steve's day, any help would be appreciated even with Charles wanting it to do it themselves.
Peter took off his mask "Hi, I'm Peter Parker." he said filling in Logan on why both needed to stay secret from the X-men and Brootherhood.
(with Rogue)
Rogue was having a serious identity crisis, she had just absorbed from three people and their memories and emotions were making it hard for her to think.
Rogue had decided earlier to venture deeper into the cave, she was followed by Scott and Jean, both of them had questions and when she said 'fuck off' things got escalated as Jean used her powers to pin her to a wall to stop her from knocking them out, unfortunately for them, Felicia followed them and blindsided Jean, giving Rogue the chance to run to Jean and stop her from doing that again by draining her, Scott fired at her fearing for Jean, but Felicia try to move her out the way taking the beam for her, only for her to get pushed right into Rogue and make skin contact, Rogue having enough used Jean's powers and brought Scott to her and drained him knocking him out.
This was how Rogue was currently being flooded by so many emotions 'Ok control yourself.' she thought to herself as this was a lot worse than when she awakened her powers and as she did, she shifted through the memories, while scattered, recent memories were able to be seen much more clearly.
She saw the training simulation with her through Scott's memories and while farther back, she saw the memories he had of her the night they met, he didn't share the same memories as her which made her curious, through Jean's she saw the same thing she didn't share any of her memories of that night and Rogue even used Jean's telepathic powers on her and Scott to see and they knew nothing, but the real shocker was Felicia, she saw a lot, but mostly, that Peter was Spider-man 'This is gonna be a long day.' she thought not liking the feeling that she was being played.
(one hour later)
"Come near me and I will put you in the ground." Felicia said not liking that she had been shot "And you, stupid bitch." she said looking directly toward Jean "You don't have supreme authority to know jack shit about her or me or what the fuck we do, as I remember she saved your worthless hide." she said Peter having filled her in on Fred Dukes, she messaged Peter that Rogue had absorbed her earlier.
Scott and Jean were silent not having any strength to argue.
(few hours later)
"Are you two as dumb as Drake, you attacked someone, on a trip, in the middle of nowhere, in a damn cave, an unknown saw you use your powers, her mind can't be breached by Jean, and this is my favorite part, you antagonized the one person who was being manipulated by Mystique into thinking we were her enemy by cornering her and forcibly trying to question her, did I get everything?" Logan asked the two as this was severely disappointing, he could see why Peter or rather Spider-man kept his distance from them, this did not paint a decent picture.
Jean and Scott had the decency to look down in shame.
"You two are only brought along on recruitment because you are still in the age group of other mutants." Logan said thinking they should've thought and planned on that given Kitty's recent reaction to Jean when she was sent to help recruit her "You have ZERO authority to act without us, because as you can see today was a shit show." he said as Felicia was not someone Peter brought up, but from what he heard they lived together.
"It might be worse than you think." Scott said getting Logan's attention.
"Oh fuck me, what other balls have you both dropped?" Logan asked them.
"Rogue disappeared when we got back, she took more of my powers and then disappeared." Jean said to him.
'With a girl who can know only god knows what, this is bad.' Logan thought as Rogue basically had two senior-level X-men memories.

Mystique lay on the ground unconscious to the world as Rogue had just absorbed her having used Jean's powers to subdue her easily.
Rogue was silent as this woman's mind was a fucking nightmare, it was full of pain and suffering, and general insanity if she was being honest.
(20 minutes later)
"I feel like pure hell." Felicia said to him as Peter carried her to her bed.
"Well from what she told me, you could be dead or in a coma, so this works out." Peter said to her as he was concerned about what Rogue would do now that she knew well a lot more than he might at the moment.
"I swear, what we do as Spider-man and Black Cat is…I don't know, much better than what those amateurs are doing." Felicia said as Peter told her about Xavier coming here and with her interaction with Scott and Jean going much worse, she could only wonder how screwed the world would be once mutants came out.
"Might get worse, I have to teach a class tomorrow with those idiots." Peter said as Felicia looked at him as if he had grown a second head "Spider-man talked to Wolverine, he'll keep my secret for the meantime." he said as Logan thought he could give them an edge against Magneto
They were interrupted when they heard a knock at the door.
Peter went to go answer it and soon saw it was Rogue "I assume you know?" he asked her getting a nod "C'mon in." he said welcoming her inside.
"So, this entire time, you've been Spider-man?" Rogue asked as it was hard as she was friends with both Peter and Spider-man.
"I don't tell my identity to everyone Rogue." Peter said to her as he only told Logan as he'd blow his cover if he didn't tell him to keep his trap shut as he was one of the few people in the world that knew his scent.
Rogue couldn't fault him given they had just met and he was Spider-man when she actually met him on top of that "I need your help." she said seeing he was still looking at her waiting "I don't know who to trust and both sides kinda suck at the moment." she said to him.
"I've got plenty of rooms take your pick." Peter said to her simply.
Rogue nodded all the same, but before she did she looked at him "Magneto has your blood, Mystique used it on herself and I don't know evolved." she said to him as Mystique felt different.
Peter was very concerned of how they managed to get his blood, and to hear someone had USED it made him very concerned 'I might have to speed up that formula for Felicia.' he thought as if Magneto enhanced his mutants with his blood, things may have gotten much worse.
