Kitsuna woke up early, enjoying a hot shower and the breakfast Ukai had left for her. He had checked in on her occasionally over the past few days, doing his best to leave her food and medicine when he had to be at work. She scarfed down the pork buns, then went to get dressed. As she ruffled through the clothes in the dryer, she found a jacket she had forgotten about borrowing and cursed under her breath. She shook her head and pulled out what she needed, getting dressed in a rush.

"Hm~hm hm!," she hummed along with the music playing from her tv, packing her bag and stuffing a mask in her pocket in case her symptoms flared up again. She also packed some additional meds and a bottle of water. Then she headed out the door, somewhat early since she had to check the faculty office first thing.

The sun was bright today, and warm. It made her realize that she had put on the jacket without thinking earlier, but she didn't want to deal with taking it off now. The ac in the school would be cold anyway. She ended up slowing down halfway up the hill, making her just barely on time when she arrived at the front doors.

"Are you sure you didn't need one more day?," Takeda asked, finding her half-wheezing by the door. The girl waved him off weakly, and forced herself to stand all the way up. Takeda spotted the jacket again, as she took it off and tucked it into her bag for now.

"Right, Sugawara's been missing his jacket all week," the teacher said absentmindedly. Kitsuna visibly reacted to that, letting out a weird sound. Takeda chuckled, then led her to the faculty room for their meeting. She sat down on a chair and sighed, a sentiment he understood well by now.

"Sorry. I just started and ended up missing most of a week," she fidgeted sheepishly.

"Right. As long as it doesn't happen too much you should be fine. Oh, I guess if it's raining I could pick you up from the store? That way you don't get soaked all the time," Takeda handed her the printouts from the past few days, which she neatly tucked into her bag.

"Um. If it's not too much trouble I guess. 'Preciate it," Kitsuna replied, feeling somewhat guilty that so many were worried about her. Takeda just beamed back, dismissing her for now.

"Hot, maybe I should take some medicine anyway?," Kitsuna slid the faculty room door shut, thinking to herself aloud. She walked slowly to class, apologizing for being late and taking her seat. She ended up dozing off in class multiple times, still exhausted from getting over the cold. The final bell startled her awake, and she started to head home before being interrupted by the volleyball girls again. She didn't have the energy to argue, so followed them over.

"Hm? Oh, here to help out?," one of the girls spotted her and got Yui's attention.

"Huh? I guess for a little bit," Kitsuna dropped her bag and it fell open, spilling some of the contents. She spotted the jacket again and froze up. Yui spotted it too, but didn't say anything and instead thought of something else.

"Actually, we have enough people today. Do you want me to show you to the boys' gym so you can return that?," she pointed at the bag, and whispered the last part. Some of the other girls noticed her weird behavior, but let it slide.

"Ah, uh. Sure," Kitsuna felt suddenly flustered, but there wasn't any real reason for her to be. Other than the fact that she had borrowed someone's jacket and then disappeared for several days.

"Keep warming up, I'll be right back!," Yui scooped up the items that fell out and pushed Kitsuna out of the gym. Once out of earshot of the girls, she set in on teasing her friend. It was rare that she had opportunities to do so, after all.

"So, working the moves on one of the volleyball boys huh?," Yui grinned back at her while walking around some of the buildings. Kitsuna blushed on reflex, which made her case even harder to defend.

"Huh? No! It's Daichi's fault I even had to borrow it!," she pouted back at Yui, who was confused and amused at the same time.

"Daichi's fault? Huh? He's had his jacket though, so who's is that really? Hm? Come on, you can tell me," Yui prodded the other girl's arm.

"Um, some shorter dude I dunno," Kitsuna forgot the names already. She pinched Yui, who yelped and let it go for now. She slid the door open, and they found the boys all hanging around talking. Yui led the way straight over to Daichi, who was discussing something with a pretty sour look on his face. Yui started talking with him, and Kitsuna found the owner of the jacket talking with some buzzcut guy. She tugged on his sleeve to get his attention, and handed over the jacket with a hefty apology.

"Sorry! I missed a few days, so it's a pretty late return," she clapped her hands together in front of her. The buzzcut guy smirked, and the other blushed somewhat.

"It's all good, thanks!"

"Kitsuna! C'mere!," Yui called her over, and Daichi looked at her with a cocked brow. She apologized again and took off across the gym. She heard the two behind her talking, then a loud smack and exclamation.

"What's up?," Kitsuna glanced between her friends. It was clear they had been discussing something.

"Oh, right. Yui, if you're not busy can you help with practice today?," Daichi asked her.

"Nah, Kitsuna can though, right?," Yui volunteered her for the job.

"Eh?," Kitsuna and Daich said in sync. Yui beamed at them, smacking Kitsuna on the shoulder.

"She's not half bad, and helps us out sometimes. You guys are short players right now, aren't you? Let her help out. You're good with that, right Kitsuna?," Yui wrapped her arm around her friend's shoulder, which was no small feat given the height difference.

"Um. I guess," Kistuna caved in.

"Alright. Appreciate it. Hey guys! We got enough for a matchup today, make sure you get warmed up!," Daichi called back to the others, then went to join them while giving Kitsuna time to get changed. Then Kistuna remembered something pretty important, and her lips pursed.

"What's up, Kitsuna?," Yui noticed that look and knew well what it meant. Mostly.

"I forgot my gym clothes today. I've got shorts under my uniform though, would that be fine?"

"No way! You don't wanna get your uniform all dirty, do you?," Yui was flabbergasted at that. Kitsuna slipped outside and pulled off the skirt, revealing a pair of tight biker-type shorts underneath. Yui sighed and okay-ed her to proceed like that, but made her at least unbutton the uniform shirt so it didn't tear. She re-entered the gym, earning some shocked looks from the rest of the boys present.
