A few weeks passed since the spectacular win against Shiratorizawa, with Kitsuna having to miss practice for most of that time to let her wrist recover. She picked up extra shifts at the store with the new free time, and made sure to keep working when practice was focused more on general conditioning. Overall she was handling things well, physically and mentally. For the most part, anyway.

"Hey," Kitsuna approached the third years toward the end of one evening practice. She was wearing her glasses again, something that was happening a lot more lately.

"Hey, what's up?," Daichi spoke up first, and the other two turned toward her.

"I was wondering, uh. Do you guys, by chance, have any notebooks from last year?," she looked away, face pulling up on one side into a grimace. Suga and Asahi looked at each other for a second, then nodded. Daichi's face went blank, staring hard at the girl.

"Have you been sleeping in class again?," the captain asked. Kitsuna clicked her tongue and faced him head on.

"No! I haven't done that since middle school," she pouted a little bit and the other two laughed.

"Then what's up? Something not making sense? You could ask someone in your year to go over notes, or a teacher," Daichi provided a sound argument but Kitsuna's eyes moved to the side again and her brow twitched. There was a hint of red on her cheeks, too.

"Well two of them are almost as bad as the first year duo," she shot back. All three of the older boys had to agree with that, but Daichi was still pushing her.

"What about Ennoshita?," he asked. Her face soured further as she tried to think of a good excuse for that one. Suga tapped Daichi's shoulder and whispered something that made the captain give her an incredulous look, but it saved her for now.

"Let me see your notes," Daichi pressed his fingers to his temple. He wasn't going to just give in. Kitsuna started sweating at that, and went ghost white.

"Kitsuna," Daichi said her name slowly, and she turned her whole head to avoid his eyes.

"Asahi. Suga. Grab her," Daichi commanded the other two, who obeyed swiftly but with some reluctance. The captain marched out of the gym, and came back in with one of her class notebooks after a few minutes. Some of the other's noticed the commotion in the corner and were starting to lose focus on practice.

"Hey! Don't go through my stuff asshole!," Kitsuna wrangled free from the hold on her and stared down Daichi.

"Well you were bein' weird, and obviously hiding something!," Daichi shouted back at her. She snatched at the notebook but he looked toward Suga and Asahi, and she settled down.

"Wow, your handwriting is bad," Noya had come over and glanced at the sloppy notes from the past few weeks. Even Suga couldn't save that one, and looked more distressed at the state of her notes than even Yachi could manage.

"There's parts missing, too," Suga drove the nail fully in with that remark. He wasn't wrong, but it didn't make things any better for her. Daichi let out a long sigh and let the notebook fall to the floor.

"I can get the god awful handwriting," he started. "What's with the gaps though? You said you weren't falling asleep."

"I'm not! I just-well."

"Spit it out."

"I can't see the board when I have the glasses."

That stopped the conversation in its tracks. Daichi himself was still adjusting to the fact that she needed visual aid, but the rest were equally as shocked as he was. Tsukishima walked by just then and looked down at her with a look of horrifying disgust.

"Huh. Why wear them if they don't help then," he stated it more than he asked it.

"Well, they do. Or they did."

"Where your damn contacts then?!," Daichi was fed up with this now.

"They're hard to put in right now," Kitsuna fought back, but weakly.

"Hey, how about this," Suga stepped in finally to try and get things moving again.

"What's your schedule look like next week? We could use another group study, anyway," he picked up the notebook and looked at the other two. Asahi nodded his agreement, and Daichi reluctantly caved.

"I'll send it later," Kitsuna stood back up and took the notebook somewhat roughly from Sugawara's hand.

With that, practice wrapped up as usual and everyone started toward home. The air was getting pretty cold as they moved closer to the end of the year, and Kitsuna's attire was somewhat lacking. She was moving more stiffly too, even outside of practice. That, mixed with a few other factors, made it so she was struggling with a text on her phone almost the entire way back. Suga tapped her shoulder and held his hand out, an offer to help out.

"Don't baby her, Suga," Daichi warned quietly from just in front of them. Kitsuna glared at the back of his head, while Suga jammed his hands back into his pockets and stiffened up. Kitsuna laughed at that reaction and the other two eased up a little bit. By the time they got to Kitsuna's door, she had just barely finished the text with her schedule for the week. Next was another issue, since she didn't have everyone's number still.

"Uh. I can send it to the others," Suga offered.

"Daichi'll be all grumpy about it again," Kitsuna reminded him.

"Right. Here, I'll put Asahi's number in," he once again extended his hand. This time Kitsuna gave him her phone and he added the number. He handed the phone back, and her hands were ice cold. He felt his phone buzz in his bag as she sent the message out.

"Good night," she waved back at him and closed her door.

"Wh-oh. 'Night!," Suga blurted out. He must have spaced out, but she didn't call him out on it this time.
