"Hey! Dinner's read…y. Dude," Noya called out suddenly and they broke apart in a hurry. He dashed off after some of the others who had wrapped up their personal practice and left them alone there without another word.

"Pfft! I guess the timing is terribad," Kitsuna laughed away her newest burst of nerves. There was a beep from Suga's pocket, likely his phone that he pulled out and made a face at.

"You guys hanging out here?," Kitsuna rolled up and offered a hand to her partner. He stood up and they brushed the dust off their clothes as they walked back toward civilization.

"Not here, no. We're doing some other stuff during the week while we're in Tokyo. We'll be around during the day, though. And the last day, for the final game. You guys managed to rope Inarizaki in for part of the training camp, right? That's pretty crazy," he started rambling off a bunch of stuff. Kitsuna made mental notes as he joined Daichi and Asahi, parting ways for the night. Kitsuna headed for the dining hall and ate almost too much. Then she hit the showers, doing her best to assuage a still distraught Yachi. Just as she exited the bathing area she was caught by Ennoshita, who wore an expression that brought her right back to her earlier fits.

"Shit. I forgot," she cursed under her breath. Ennoshita let out a knowing sigh and walked with her to the coaches' room.

"Hey. What if we just say we forgot tomorrow?," she tugged at the boy's sleeve but to no avail.

"They just sent me after you," he grumbled out.

"Sorry," was all Kitsuna could say to that. They reached the door, which Ennoshita opened with the shortest knock for notice. Inside were Takeda and Keishin, as well as Daichi and Sugawara. The air was awkward but friendly enough as Takeda gestured toward two spots for them to sit down.

"Right," Keishin started. Kitsuna and Sugawara were seated directly across from the coaches, with Daichi and Ennoshita to either side. "I already know what happened, more or less. I don't want to interrogate ya or hear any excuses or explanations. You know where things went wrong or didn't."

"Yes, sir," the guilty responded in unison. Takeda nodded, then took over.

"Now. For starters, it isn't your captains' jobs to clean up your personal messes. They pulled a lot of weight today, so make sure you don't ignore that," the teacher pointed at the two captains, current and previous. Suga and Kitsuna pressed their foreheads into the tiled floor as they apologized for the inconveniences they caused.

"Good. Now then, you two can go," the captains were dismissed and quickly made their exit. The two still on trial straightened up and sat stiff as boards before their judges.

"I'm not going to ask for clarification. Like Ukai said, we get the gist of it. But, there are some issues I want to cover."

"Yes, sir."

"The whole volleyball club is pretty close-knit. We all know that. We all know your situations and have the pertinent information. You aren't breaking any codes or laws, per se. But you do need to consider how your actions will affect the views people have of the team as a whole. Think about how things will look to an outsider when a college guy spends the night at a highschooler's house too many times. Or what they'll think if someone's attendance or grades start slipping. You aren't set or guaranteed anything, so your own futures are still just as important as they were before," Takeda stared into each of their faces in turn to make sure his words were hitting home. They both nodded their understanding and he let out a relieved sigh as he rose to his feet. He dismissed himself, leaving them with the only threat worse than Daichi's fury. Keishin cleared his throat, loudly, while a clock ticked the seconds by.

"U-um! It's not like I thought we could skip anything or uh! Your guys's situation's different, so it's hard to navigate-no. I just didn't think to-"

"Calm down, dude," Keishin cut Suga's rambling off after listening with a bemused look on his face. Kitsuna just blinked between the two of them, missing something or unsure of her own understanding.

"Look. I ain't her dad or anything. I do want to look out for her, though. You as well, the whole team. But this one's the most important to me now," Keishin struggled a little to be so forward with his growing paternal feelings toward the girl he picked up off the streets.

"Woah," Suga accidentally let his surprise out with that little sound. Kitsuna's face was burning in a hot sweat, but different from her regular embarrassment.

"Um. Right. That makes sense, sorry. I-"

"Look. I heard when the whole thing went down. After nationals, I mean. I already know where you stand on things, and I'm not here to throw a wrench into that. It was a shock for sure, but I'm not opposed to it at all," Keishin held up a hand to silence Suga's rambling and cut it off at the head. Sugawara for his part practically deflated as a weight was lifted from his shoulders just then.

"What Take said is more or less my same sentiment, with a few extra worries tacked on. You get what I'm getting at, right? RIght. So-"

"W-we made sur-sure to use procecshion," Suga blurted out and bit his tongue as he slammed his face into the floor again. Both Keishin and Kitsuna stared at him with stunned faces, though for slightly different reasons.

"Not what I meant. I mean that is something I was sorta worried about but. Uh, shit. That's more than I really wanted to think about dude. C'mon," this time Keishin was flustered along with the other two. Kitsuna flicked Suga's ear and he sat back up. He was nearing his limit, as were the other occupants of the room. Keishin cleared his throat again and made a final push.

"Nishinoya saw you two earlier. Well, he didn't see anything but he also didn't see nothin'. I get it, I do, but for real you guys gotta be more careful. And Kitsuna, quit letting it get to you during games. We need you at full power this week," the coach was able to get through his final message. He dismissed the floundering lovers and considered lighting up a smoke by the cracked window. Thought about it, but resisted as Takeda returned to the room and gave him an awkward yet understanding smile.

"Shuddup," Keishin pouted as the other man joined him in his brooding corner. There was something funny about them sitting by the window in the cramped desks at night. Something funny, and something else threatening their fluttery chests.

Down the hall, just outside the door to the Karasuno team's sleeping arrangements, Kitsuna bade Sugawara good night. They opted for a hug instead of anything more, and she slid into the room hoping that at least a few of her teammates were fast asleep.

"Wait, she isn't with the girls?," one of the first years started to panic in his own way just then. The whole room felt like it gave a hard sigh at that.

"It's been like this for a long time, apparently. Nothin' weird about it," Tanaka shrugged and gave a rather useless explanation.

"Oh yeah, we haven't decided who we're stuffing next to her spot," Kinoshita chimed in with something that set the anxious first year off again.

"Rock paper scissors? Draw straws?," Yamaguchi offered methods of fair trial. They settled on adding names to a wheel on a phone app and spinning it. That's how the first night of the Tokyo training camp ended, with Kitsuna wrapped up in the farest corner of the room and a barrier of Tsukishima between her and the rest of the floor. They both wore their headphones well into their sleep, with Yamaguchi tucking them away and switching off their music apps sometime later.
