"Chikara, I'm awake! Lemme go," Kitsuna tried to pry his hand off her wrist as she was dragged back to the room she was supposed to be sleeping in.

"Oh shut up! You were late already, now you're just being extra annoying. What's even in here? Wait, this isn't one of your bags," Ennoshita let go of her arm and peeked into the bag. He saw some cords, and what looked like a laptop. He felt sweat beading up on his forehead with the thought that he had just nabbed a Nekoma member's personal property.

"It is now. Don't you know better than to go through a girl's bag?," Kitsuna snatched at the bag but Ennoshita held it up over his head. Likely with the intent of keeping it out of her reach, but forgetting that she wasn't really any shorter than he was.

"Eh? You can't just take stuff-"

"I bought it, jackass. Now give it here!," Kitsuna successfully retrieved her new possession and placed it in the corner with the rest of the bags.

"Eh? You never have anything girly in your stuff anyway! It's always games or manga or sport stuff," Ennoshita charged into a completely unrelated tangent then. Kitsuna fired back quietly with a comment on how he was always cranky in the mornings. Surprisingly it was Nishinoya and Tanaka who managed to pull Ennoshita back and diffuse things before breakfast.

After breakfast it was on to warmups and practice matches. Another school would be joining them, filling out a sixth spot for the teams and evening out the matchups for games. There was some whispering around the gym as each team went through their own warmup routines.

"Kitsuna, don't slack on setting!," Keishin snapped at the girl. She was setting along with Kageyama for the spiking drills, but very obviously not pleased with that assignment.

"I wanna spike, though," Kitsuna pouted. She set the ball up for Tsukishima, sending it just a little higher than normal to make him really reach for it.

"It's bad enough you have the same hair, but now you sound like Hinata," Tsukishima muttered as he returned to the back of the line for drills. The rest of the team saw how Kitsuna's face turned harsh after whatever the blonde had said and felt a little uneasy as they ran out for the spikes. Keishin called a short break, gathering them all up for some sort of talk.

"Kitsuna. You need to maintain the trust of your team if you're gonna set. I expect Kageyama to have trouble with it, but you know better," Keishin immediately singled her out again.

"I haven't made that many mistakes so far. 'Sides, why can't Noya set? He can't spike in games, and a little extra practice with it wouldn't hurt," Kitsuna lazily stifled a yawn and pointed at the shortest of the third years.

"Oh! That's actually a good idea," Nishinoya latched onto that, leaving Keishin with little choice but to give in.

"Fine. Since you're switching in now, we'll have you go back to the middle of the line each time. After this is serves, so make sure you don't burn out all at once," Keishin warned her. Kitsuna nodded but was celebrating her little victory with a high touch with Nishinoya.

They got back to it, going through the rotation so that she lined up with Hinata for the next set. Both of them positioned themselves for a hard running start, jumping up almost at the same time and ramming the balls down hard. Kitsuna lagged just a little behind, as did Noya's set. Kitsuna stopped to talk to Nishinoya about his set height for her, while the rest of the gym grew quiet with the new arrivals entering during the double quicks just now.

"So they have more than one who can do it, huh?"

"Seems like it."

"What're they feeding those redheads?"

"Holy shit, it really is Inarizaki!," Tanaka blurted out at the guys standing in the doorway. The Miya twins and Aran, who had just given pretty odd commentary on the scene that unfolded as they entered, backed by their other teammates. The other teams were equally as shocked, but didn't voice it in quite the same way Tanaka did.

"Huh? Oh," Kitsuna spotted the latest team added to the group and waved at them from across the gym.

"Finish up properly!," the coaches pulled their teams' attention back to their tasks. After each one warmed up, and they split off to different gyms, there were several rounds of practice games. Teams kept switching around between games as well, the extra breaks giving the adults the idea to delay lunch a little. Karasuno managed to drag the final match with Inarizaki before lunch to a triple set, but still lost in the end. Takeda and the other adults decided to take it easy on their worn out players and rescinded the penalty lap this time. The more energetic of the two teams were still practicing and mingling on the court, with the stragglers sitting down around the edges or outside. Kitsuna sat in the corner where she was joined by Osamu and Suna.

"I should've had more breakfast," Kitsuna whined. She looked around, spotting Suga and the other graduates. Sugawara was deep in conversation with Keishin though, occasionally glancing in her direction.

"Wouldn't that have made you sick during the games?," Suna's comment was pretty on point, but the other two vehemently disagreed.

"You don't get it, dude. If you wanna have a good time, you gotta make sure you eat a good meal. Goin' away hungry just sucks," Osamu tried to make a stand but he was too tired to form a coherent argument. The two of them went back and forth, diving into various subjects for their bickering until something else caught their attention.

"Hey," Osamu shook his arm, trying to wake up Kitsuna. She had conked out and fell over onto his shoulder. The jostling made her start to slip instead of waking her, so Osamu stopped trying that and sat there flustered while Suna snapped a quick picture. There was an intense aura of danger from across the gym, coming from a shocking source. Shocking, but to be expected in a way.
