Suga's lips met Kitsuna's, with more impassioned force than the latter was expecting. He didn't back down when she faltered for an instant, before relenting to his overwhelming power. He pulled back, then their mouths were crashing together again as his hands crept up under her shirt, the fabric bunching up over her hips. He supported her back with one arm, the other snaking its way underneath her shorts to stroke and tease somewhere else. After what felt like an endless eternity, he freed her mouth and moved his kisses further and further down her neck and shoulder.
"S-Suga! Mn..," Kitsuna's grip tightened on his shirt, and she let out a sound that was new to both of them. He paused to catch his breath, pulling back just a little bit and returning his hand to her shoulder.
"Sorry," he apologized softly, breathlessly. Looking at her face, Kitsuna was equally as out of breath as he was. She swallowed hard, and he pulled her body back into his so she was standing in a more natural way.
"That's not. It's okay. Just," she looked away as she spoke, brow furrowing in the middle as she tried to say something.
"Uh, I just..I got carried away. Sorry," he apologized again, unsure what to do now. She shook her head, inhaling sharply.
"I-uh. I'm kinda gross. Right now?," she forced herself to spit out what was on her mind. She had just done a pretty hard practice, and hadn't showered or changed yet. He was aware of that, but having the information presented to him so bluntly was still a bit of a shock. He shook his head as if to deny her statement, earning a scowl in response.
"No. From all that running around. I'm all sweaty and stuff," she tried again.
"Even so, I don't think you're gross," Suga came back with what would normally be a sweet comment, but Kitsuna grew more flustered at it instead.
"You could at least let me shower first," she gently pushed his face back from her own. A playful sort of push, one without any real intent to stop his advance.
"Wouldn't it make more sense to shower after?," he asked. Logically, that did make more sense probably. Kitsuna froze up as she seriously considered it. In the end, she stuck to her guns and shook her head once more.
"Nope. Shower time first," she pulled away slowly, somewhat reluctantly. Then she headed for the bathroom and shut the door behind her, sinking down against the door and covering her face with her hands.
"What the hell was that?!," she hissed out. She sat like that for a good minute or two until her heart stopped pounding in her ears. All the awkward, intense feelings she had been holding at bay finally cascaded over her in that brief moment. She let herself feel, process them, for just a few minutes. Then it was down to business, picking herself up and fighting with the shower knobs for a little too long. Once the water was on, she set to disrobing and once again removing all her jewelry and accessories.
Shirt, shorts, tights, then bracelet and earrings. Nine in total, lined up atop her shirt which was carefully laid out over the sink so nothing fell down the drain. She paused, staring at the ring that was newly added to this process. Should she keep it on? Was that okay? Or would it be better to remove it, she just didn't know.
"Should probably take it off, right? Just in case."
"Hyeh?!"
Kitsuna whirled around to put a face to the disembodied voice behind her. Her eyes locked onto a bright smile being flashed at her, one she loved but did not need to see at this particular moment. She flailed for a towel. Shirt. Anything to cover up with, but received it in a way that made her lose it even more. Suga's shirt landed into her palm, pulled over her chest before she processed it clearly. Her face went beet red and she covered her eyes, while her partner disrobed right there.
"What? Huh? Why-are you serious! Suga!," Kitsuna's voice grew more shrill with each syllable, threatening to warn the entire building of her predicament.
"Sorry. I thought you heard me come in, and you left all your stuff out there anyway," Suga laughed as he slid his arms around Kitsuna from behind. His fingers trailed along her arm, pulling her hand up to eye level. The two of them stood still there, just looking at the pair of rings on each other's hands. Intertwined, gently, one pale and the other well-tanned. Chipped nail polish and all, with two simple bands of silver lined in gold. Then Sugawara slid the ring off of her finger, pulling back to slide his off and place them with the pile of jewelry carefully set in cloth on the sink.
He turned back around, taking in the sight of his lover as she stood there flustered beyond belief and just barely hidden behind the crumpled cloth of his shirt. Kitsuna looked away, eyeing the shower curtain and stealing glances his way. He wasn't oblivious to the awkward tension between them, nor was he immune to the horrendous effects of it on his own body. He felt his face heat up, but focused on something else to keep himself from freezing up.
"Gonna run out of hot water," Kitsuna jumped when he moved closer. He stopped for a moment to consider his options, given her reactions so far. He covered his mouth with one hand, suddenly feeling very weird and exposed.
"Hey," he gently brushed his fingers over hers. "We..don't have to."
"Um. Well, I wasn't expecting, uh, this. I mean, I guess I did to an extent. It's just a lot? But, it's not like I don't want to," Kitsuna focused on her breathing. A long slow inhale, and an even slower exhale. Once more, but shakier than the first. Then a small grin crept over her lips, and she gingerly took his hand in hers.
"Are you sure? It's really okay if we don't," Suga brushed her bangs aside, resting his forehead against hers and studying her eyes. Any hesitation, any at all, and he would stop. He didn't find any, though, there in the golden pools that stared back.
"We're not actually gonna run out of hot water, are we?," Kitsuna asked. The question was genuine, but the timing made both of them burst into a fit of giggles. That settled their nerves finally and reset the energy of the room. The very steamy and damp room, with the shower still running.
