At Resistance HQ everyone was there.
"Thank you all for coming so quickly." Amy said.
"Yeah- we're going to need all of you." Sonic said.
Sonic and Shadow had been ignoring each other.
"Neo Metal Sonic has taken over my Island! He's turned it into a Flying Fortress!" Knuckles said getting Sonic and Amy to jump. "And built that… that thing over the Master Emerald!" he said and covered his face with his hands. "I never should've left..."
"You were helping us down here." Amy said. "And now we're going to help you get your home back." she said and showed everyone a picture of Angel Island. "We're going to split into three teams." she said. "Teams One snd Two will attack the shorelines and break the Egg Fleet's control of the Island." she said. "Team Three will confront Neo Metal Sonic here." she said. "They'll secure the Master Emerald and rob the Fleet of its Commander."
"I'm on Team Three!"
"I think everyone assumed that, Knux." Sonic said.
"May I offer a more direct option, Amy?" Blaze asked.
"Of course!" Amy said.
"I could confront Neo Metal Sonic as Burning Blaze."
"Wha-ha-ha-at?! That'd be amazing!" Sonic said.
"How is that possible?" Amy asked.
"As most of you know, if Sonic can manage to gather up the Seven Chaos Emeralds, she can use their power to transform into Super Sonic." Blaze said. "On my world we have similar gems called Sol Emeralds. With their power, I can become Burning Blake." she said. "It is their power that brought me here. As their Guardian, I have kept them close all this time." she said. "They are not to be wielded recklessly, but I believe this crisis would justify their use."
"Hmm... Maybe we shouldn't..." Tails said.
"Why not? That would be awesome!" Sonic asked.
"Well-yeah-but Neo has command of the Master Emerald. It can neutralize the Chaos Emeralds." he said. "What if it can do the same to the Sol Emeralds?"
"It can't. Don't ask me how I know— Call it a hunch." Knuckles said.
"Then what if Neo copied Blaze's Bio-Data? Her Pre-Power at least, and harness the Sol Emeralds for himself at worst." Tails said. "Sorry, Blaze. But it's probably safer if you stay away from Neo."
"It's fine. Thank you for looking out for me." Blaze said.
"But- Neo shouldn't be anywhere near the Fleets. Blaze, I want you to be Team One! Sonic and Knuckles will be Team Three, So everyone else- we're Team Two! Everybody to the battleship! Let's go liberate Angel Island!" Amy said.
Later.
"I really appreciate you coming to help. I know crowds aren't really your thing." Sonic said.
"S' Okay." Whisper whispered.
"I'll give you some space. Be safe down there, Okay?"
"You too."
"I share the sentiment. I didn't think you'd be for a big Team-Up." Rouge said.
"I'm here for my own reasons." Shadow said with his arms crossed.
"Mmm… of course you are."
"Are you sure that one can be trusted?" Blaze asked looking at Whisper.
"Whisper? Sure! She certainly likes to keep her distance…" Amy said. "Kinda reminds me of how a certain princess used to be..."
"Heh. I suppose I was a bit… defensive when we all first met." Blaze said. "And now I march to war with the lot of you."
"It's going to be rough out there. Please be careful on your own."
"Do not worry. We'll win the day."
"Haha! You're . I need to stay positive!"
"I learned from the best."
Meanwhile The Chaotix, Tangle and Silver were playing cards.
"You're not using your mind-powers to cheat, are ya?" Tangle said.
"N-no! I can't really-" Silver started but was cut off.
"Or using your future- knowledge?!"
"It doesn't work like that!"
"Relax! I'm just messing with ya!"
"O-oh. Sorry, I'm not used to…" he started and noticed a card missing. "Wait a minute!"
"Aw man… your hand's worse than mine."
"C'mon! Just try to play a hand. It'll get your mind off things." Vector said.
"No. My island needs me. I have no time for games." Knuckles said.
"So… you're just going to stand there until we arrive?"
"Yes."
"Suit yourself."
Meanwhile.
"Smooth sailing, Cap'n?" Sonic asked.
"Steady as she goes. What brings you up here?" Tails asked.
"I guess I'm too excited to hang with everyone else." she said. "We'll be at Angel Island any minute now, and the best place to be is with my wingman."
"Thanks, partner. We'll get through this."
"We always do." she said then there was an explosion. "And here we were having a moment…"
"Neo isn't taking any chances! The entire Egg Fleet is bombarding us!" he said. "You and Knuckles grab your Extreme Gear! I'll get is as close as I can, but -"
"Good luck buddy!" she said and left.
"Blaze! I'm going to put us down on the West Coast! You'll have to fly to your target from here!" he said while Sonic and Knuckles flew on their Extreme Gear.
"Understood." Blaze said. "Don't think about how high we are. Focus on the moment..." she said to herself and did as told.
"Tails! We've got to go!" Amy said.
"I know! I know! I'm just putting in the final trajectory-!" Tails said. "Go! Go! Go!" he said and it exploded as everyone got out.
"Vector! You lead Team Chaotix! Stick together and do your thing!" Amy said. "Silver! Wreck stuff!" she said. "Rouge! You and Shadow… Wait! Where is Shadow?!"
"Did you really think he'd follow orders?" Rouge asked.
"I should've known better. Well then- I'm counting on you to handle the guns!"
"Consider it done."
"Tangle! Whisper! Cover Tails while he does something smart!"
"Нaha! What does that even mean?" Tails asked.
"I don't know! You're the genius!" she said and they did as told.
'I must finish my mission here quickly. I don't want to leave my friends to fend for themselves for too long.' Blaze thought. 'Heh... My friends. I've not had them in my life for long...' she thought. '...But I will do everything I can to keep them safe!'
Meanwhile.
"Well... that's overt." Sonic said.
"We're not here for sight-seeing. Let's get moving!" Knuckles said.
"Sense anything?"
"...No. The Master Emerald's power is cut off from me." he said and punched the door breaking it and pulled it open. "Dibs on Neo."
"Pssht, If you're fast enough to get to him first." she said and they headed to the Master Emerald.
Soon they were at the Master Emerald to see Neo Metal sitting on it.
"It's over, pointy. Our friends are wrecking your stuff. And we're here to stop you." Sonic said.
"Release the Master Emerald! Now!" Knuckles said.
"The Resistance's paltry efforts do not concern me." Neo Metal said. "One by one, they'll all become a black mark on the floor." he said. "And you two are nothing compared to my power."
"Says you! Let's get him, Knux!" Sonic said and Neo Metal used the Master Emerald sending them flying. "Great. Juuuust great."
"Well? Weren't you going to "stop me?"" Super Neo Metal asked. "Come. Show me what you're made of."
