Yuri wandered around the local marketplace with his butler, a little bored and disinterested. His parents had agreed to let their young son go explore the city for the first time now that he was six years old, as long as he was escorted by the butler, to make sure their precious heir was safe.

The young prince glanced back at his escort, noticing that that butler wasn't looking at him at the moment. He was looking around, no doubt making sure there was nobody around that could be a threat to his young charge.

A maliciously gleeful thought sprang to Yuri's mind. How funny would it be if he snuck off and the butler had to look for him? It would be hilarious! Yuri grinned and bolted, running through the crowd and ducking around a corner. Moments later, he heard the butler's panicked cries, and he giggled.

He began wandering around through the alley that he'd ducked into. His nose wrinkled as he realized that it was a peasant street. There were peasants everywhere! How disgusting! Yuri's eyes fell on one peasant in particular, a boy about his age with blue and yellow hair. He was dressed in rags and covered in filth, playing with a little horsey toy. The boy glanced up at Yuri, and the cabbage-haired prince noticed his eyes. They were as blue as tourmalines, quite pretty actually. His face looked remarkably similar to Yuri's, though Yuri's eyes were the color of amethysts and his face was much cleaner than the peasant's.

It was the similarity to Yuri's face and the pretty tourmaline eyes that drew Yuri a little closer to the little peasant. The peasant seemed to lose interest in him after looking at him for a moment, and went back to playing with his horsey. Yuri was dissatisfied with this lack of interest, and moved a little closer to the peasant. After a long moment, during which the peasant showed the prince no attention at all, Yuri scoffed. "Filthy peasant…"

That seemed to get the peasant's attention, and he looked up at the prince reproachfully. "Rude!" Yuri crossed his arms. "Well you are! You look like you haven't had a bath in a year! Smells like you haven't had a bath in a year too!"

"Hey!" the peasant cried. "I had one last month! You're mean!"

"Well, you need another bath!" Yuri said. "You're covered in filth!"

"It's not my fault the orphanage only lets us have baths when there's a visit from someone wanting to adopt!" whined the peasant, turning away from Yuri. At that, the prince paused. "You're an orphan?"

"What, are you gonna make fun of me for that too?" the peasant asked angrily. Yuri said nothing for a few moments, thinking. After a while, he walked a little closer to the peasant. "What's your name?"

The peasant was silent for a moment. Then he mumbled, "Yugo…"

"I'm Prince Yuri," the cabbage-haired prince said. At that, Yugo's head snapped up and he looked at Yuri with wide eyes. "You're the PRINCE?!"

Yuri rolled his eyes and suddenly grabbed Yugo's wrist. He grimaced a little at the filth on his skin, but began dragging the blunana peasant away. The blunana didn't seem to be too happy about being dragged, trying to pull out of Yuri's grasp. "H-hey! L-let go!"

Yugo was a lot stronger than Yuri was expecting, and it was a big challenge to move him more than three feet. He almost managed to get free, when suddenly—

"Your Highness! There you are!" the relieved voice of the butler suddenly rang out, and within moments he was by the prince's side. "What are you doing?"

"I'm taking this peasant home with me!" Yuri snapped. "What does it look like I'm doing? Help me get him to the carriage!"

"B-but your Highness…" The butler was stunned. Yuri glared at him. "That's an order! Now!"

The butler immediately bowed. "Yes, your Highness." He picked Yugo up in his arms, and the peasant boy began screaming and thrashing around. "No! No! Put me down! Help!"

"Calm down, we're not gonna hurt you," Yuri told the boy. "Don't you want food?"

At the mention of food, Yugo stopped his screaming and thrashing. "F-food?" he asked hesitantly. Yuri nodded. "Yes, food. You eat it. I'm guessing an orphan peasant doesn't get a lot of food, right?"

"Well… no but…" the peasant seemed to be torn. Yuri raised an eyebrow. After a moment, all the resistance seemed to leave Yugo. "…Okay…"

"But first you need a bath," Yuri said. "And some clean clothes. C'mon, off we go home!"
