Ominis felt the tension in the room hit a high as he heard Diana fall back. He heard and felt as Nurse Blainey rushed over to her, immediately after Poppy burst into more tears and he heard her run from the room. After hovering over her for a moment the nurse moved away and sighed.

"She's asleep, and I gave her a draft to keep her that way for awhile-" she hesitated before speaking again "... she obviously wasn't in her right mind speaking to you all.."

No one said anything, even Sebastian who wasn't known to be able to sit in any kind of discomfort, stood silent.

Ominis didn't need occlumency to know that everyone was thinking that Diana's words held truth despite the state of mind she was likely in. Without her using names, Ominis couldn't be totally sure who each accusation went to, but it was easy enough to guess- and he knew for certain when she spoke about Sebastian. The hurt in Sebastian's reprimand stung even to him, and it was like he could hear her screams in the scriptorium all over again. Taking a deep breath and shaking his head, Ominis tried to shift his thoughts. They landed on her last declaration, or plea, or whatever it was. He didn't know where to place that one.

He waited as he heard the last two of Diana's supposed friends leave, sniffling accompanying their departures. Finally it was just He and Sebastian left standing at her bed.
