Diana was in the hospital wing for over a week. She was asleep for most of it, only to be woken to eat, take medicine, and then fall back into dreamless darkness. It was somehow painful, even in sleep- and everytime she was woken it felt like the pain doubled over. It wasn't until after a few days she realized that the pain wasn't from any broken bones or lacerations anymore- it was all grief. Unknown to her though, within her grief she wasn't alone. Although never present when she was awoken, due to nurse Blainey not wanting anymore confrontations, there was always someone by her side. Without any words or plans, each friend she had made that year sat by her as she slept. Each person only left when someone wordlessly came to take their place. The most frequent of those was Ominis, and it was he who was there when she finally woke up again on her own.
