"This is stupid," Garcia proclaimed as she stood with her friends and co-workers watching the scene before them with a disgusted look on her face.

"C'mon, it's just a friendly sparring match," JJ who stood beside her replied as she gently nudged Penelope with her elbow.

"But they're not friends," Garcia countered.

"Good, then we might get some blood," Tara chimed in excitedly as she clapped her hands already cheering even though the event hadn't started. She turned to her left when she noticed Garcia was staring at her with a horrified look. "What, it's boxing and there's usually blood."

"It's stupid," Garcia repeated her earlier assessment. "Why are they even doing this, and why are we here watching?"

"When Luke, Tyler, and myself were out the other day chasing a lead we had a little stake out and we got on the subject of boxing somehow," David Rossi explained. "Well, it turns out that all three of us have done some competitive boxing back in the day. We all started sharing our accolades and well here we are. Oh, and this won't be a friendly sparring match," He said disagreeing with JJ. "It's a grudge match, and there will definitely be some blood," He added with a crooked smile. Prentiss, who was beside him, nodded in agreement as she watched the three men in the ring.

"What? Why do you think it's a grudge match?" Garcia questioned. "I mean, I know Luke wasn't too happy with how Tyler went rogue during the Sicarius case but I don't think he'll try to beat him bloody over it."

"Oh, my sweet Bambina," Rossi cast her a gentle smile. "This has nothing to do with the Sicarius case. It's all about 'you'," Garcia's brows furrowed in confusion as she looked at the man who was a father figure to her. She then noticed that the others were looking at her and nodding in agreement.

"Me? What about me?"

"My God, Penelope," Tara groaned out as she lifted her face upward as if she were asking the Lord to give her strength. "Luke is in love with you."

"No, he's not," Garcia scoffed at the nonsense she was hearing.

"Yes, he is," Prentiss's stern voice spoke out and the tone of her voice and the look in her eyes left no room for argument.

"And he has been since he met you," JJ tacked on. Garcia stood there with her mouth agape in shock as she looked at each of her friends. She truly had, had no idea. Sure, she thought 'maybe' he had interest when he had asked her out that one time. Then she realized from how he had acted and looked at her on their date, that he had regretted asking her out. So, she let him off the hook by telling him they were better off as frenemies.

"Bu…But on our date, he was-"

"Nervous, and scared he was going to fuck it up," Rossi cut her off. He had inside information because he and Luke had talked about the date. He knew that Luke had been crushed when Penelope had told him he wasn't her 'someone'. Rossi also suspected why she had said that. It was because she had been hurt so many times that her brain wouldn't allow her heart to lead again. It shut down what it was sure would be another heartbreak, never opening itself to the possibility of a happily ever after scenario. "What you interpreted as regret was simply fear."

"Oh," Garcia replied as she turned her gaze to where Luke stood in the ring listening to the ref tell them the rules. In her mind's eye, she replayed their date and began to realize that she probably had misread things. "Wait, then we have to stop this. Luke can't fight Tyler for some grudge over a complete misunderstanding."

"Yes, he can," Tara interjected. "Besides, we've all bet money on Tyler to win."

"WHAT!?" Garcia exclaimed in surprise and outrage. "How could you bet on Tyler to win? You just said Luke has a grudge against Tyler because of me, and … and, Luke is family."

"All true, but Luke isn't going to 'win'. Yeah, he'll get his shots in but he won't actually beat the crap out of Tyler. More than likely he'll let Tyler win," Prentiss said.

"And why would he do that?"

"For you," Rossi answered. "Luke thinks Tyler could be your someone, and he wouldn't beat the guy up if he thought it would hurt you or cause you stress. Also, there's no way in hell he's gonna beat Tyler bloody and run the risk of you taking him home to kiss his boo-boos," He said with a chuckle as the others also smiled and nodded to that testament.

"So, you're all betting on the fact that Luke will throw the fight because of me. Well, I want in on the action and I'm all in on Luke," Garcia announced.

"Twenty bucks, I'll get it to Berkley, he's handling the pot," Tara replied.

"Berkley in accounting? How many people are in on this bet?"

"There are folks from every floor," JJ said.

"Why do you think there are so many in here right now, just for a 'friendly sparring match'?" Rossi threw in, and Garcia finally glanced around the room and it was rather packed with folks still walking in.

"All betting against Luke?" Garcia asked a bit miffed at the thought of it.

"Not all, but most. At first, the majority were going to go with Luke but when they noticed how our team was betting, they figured we had inside knowledge and changed their bets," Tara said. Garcia frowned at what she was hearing and at the idea that Luke would throw the fight for her. The more she thought about it the more she knew they were right because that was the kind of friend Luke was to her, but there was more to it than that and she knew it. Luke always treated her with so much regard, respect, and care. Could the others be right, was he in love with her? She knew there was only one way to find out.

"Excuse me, I'll be right back," Garcia said as she moved from their seats and made her way to the ring. The others watched curiously as Penelope called out something to Luke. Luke moved to the ropes, slipped through them, and dropped down from the ring to where Garcia stood. He leaned into her as she whispered something into his ear. When he moved back his face looked awestruck as he stood there watching while Garcia moved back to her seat and the others. The ref snapped Luke back to the event and he climbed back into the ring. Luke and Tyler moved to their respective corners as the fight was about to start. Garcia had made it back to her seat just in time. The bell dinged and both men moved from their corners with their gloved hands up. When they were just a few feet apart, Tyler stepped in, Luke swung, and Tyler dropped hard to the canvas out cold. The bell rang again as the ref and the ringside doctor checked on Tyler. The ref then moved to Luke and raised his hand in victory.

"What the hell just happened?" Tara spoke out as she and the others, save Garcia, all stood looking on in disbelief.

"Our boy, Luke, just got a TKO," Rossi replied with a hearty chuckle as he applauded and whistled to the victory.

"What in the world did you say to him?" JJ asked as she looked at Garcia with wide eyes and a huge smile on her face.

"I told him that Tyler was not my 'someone', but I think that he could be and the sooner he ended the fight the sooner we could go discuss it over dinner," Garcia said with a smile and slight shrug of her shoulder as she watched Luke make his way over to her.
