MARVEL'S CRUSADERS

I will preface this by saying that I love Marvel. That's obvious since I'm creating a Marvel series. I think my love for Marvel came about because of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (or the "MCU" as it is more commonly called). However, the cinematic universe began to decline after the Infinity Saga. Even then, there were several changes I would have made to the overarching story, which seemed to make solo movies a means to push for a character's upcoming film or just the next team-up movie.

In grade school, I played around with my friends during recess, pretending to be a Marvel superhero. (It was more than not either the Incredible Hulk or the Spectacular Spider-Man) I think this is what inspired me to express my ideas for a Marvel universe. Of course, reading the 1610 imprint of Marvel (better known as "Ultimate Comics") also inspired me; seeing all these new takes on the characters was inspirational.

So I'm going to put all of these crazy ideas into words. Though, as much as I love to write stories in paragraph format, I will be writing this is something similar to a screenplay. There will be a little more detail than what's usual for a screenplay, but otherwise, shorter than a traditional book in paragraph formatting. This assures that the story is going to go at a fast pace, which is necessary because I have a lot of things planned for this universe.

That leads me to my next point: the series that I'll be writing. Right now, I've got outlines planned for Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Hulk, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, and the Avengers. Now, obviously that's noticeably lacking a lot of popular superheroes like Captain America, or Thor. The heroes who don't get a series aren't all that intriguing to me, so I just wasn't going to give them their own series, and was simply going to introduce them in the Avengers. But, I don't want to make the same mistake as the 1610 universe. I'd like to point out that the Hulk didn't even have his own solo series; Captain America didn't get his own solo series; and Iron Man did get his own, but it was very poorly received and just retconned to have been an in-universe television show...

I think the problem is that the universe of 1610... didn't seem like much of a universe. I don't want to repeat that mistake. I want a variety of series to flesh out the characters. So that leads me to say, if any of my readers have ideas that they would like to have turned into a series that I don't currently have planned, then please share. I will credit you if I do put your ideas into writing.

So that's all to say that I'm going to be starting a Marvel series as my first work on this website. I'll try to release an "issue" at least once a month, and I'll inform you readers if otherwise.

If I'm working on a story, I may put it on either a set or indefinite hiatus for a variety of reasons, but probably most commonly because I'm pausing to work on another series set within the Crusader Verse (my name for this universe). You'll likely know if I am working on another series because the last issue of the story I will have put on hiatus will have referenced the series I am proceeding to work on. This means that the series that I have picked up happens at the same time as, or immediately after the events of that chapter... or I just really want to write about it at the time and tell you viewers what happened.
