Chapter One
The celestial world of Spirits was in ruins. No one could explain what happened or the reason why it took place but if anyone were to find the answers it would have been him the King of Celestials, Leo the Lion. He was the highest in ranking, and in power. And though, Karen, of Blue Pegasus, had passed many years ago order needed to be restored. Whether it happened in the human realm or the Spirit realm something needed to change and to do that she needed assistance.
Aries stared at the woman sitting at her desk in her home in the town of Magnolia with a small dose of curiosity and a heaping load of fear. Ever since Leo had saved her from the wrath of their previous master she couldn't help but feel that she was becoming less than what a spirit should be.
Unusable.
Of course, she had known that she was powerful in her own right as a Spirit. A bridge to guide the strength of her owner, but given that she didn't have one made her situation all the more complicated.
How am I supposed to do this? The thought ran through her mind endlessly. It even caused her moments of exhaustion—as being outside the celestial realm did have painful effects after a period of time. And though she was not one to complain about mundane things worry was an obstacle that she had been facing since she left the celestial realm one month prior.
She had her energy still. But the symbiotic nature of master and servant was one thing that was unwilling to change in the rules of an outer realm being.
Leo knew this as well and yet—
Aries sighed. She didn't need to think about him right now. Not when she couldn't even figure out who or what she wanted to be. In this moment. At this time. At this hour.
It was as if she had lost part of herself. Part of her being. Which unlike the others was frustrating. When will I become me again? Her thoughts were like a whisper in the night. Consuming her.
She began pacing back and forth. Her magic burning from within. You know you hate being considered less. Don't think that you are Aries. You're stronger than this. Stronger than you believe.
Leo had spoken those words to her when he forced her back into the celestial realm. He was always the one who was able to keep it together.
It just wasn't fair.
Her weakness should have disappeared, but it lingered. Like a venomous snake.
Worthless. Pathetic. Ingrate.
The words only a monster could say.
You are a spirit of unlimited potential. Act like it.
Aries swallowed her rage and looked back at the window. Could this woman really be the one to help her–to help them. She didn't know. But she would have to deal with the consequences at another time.
And if hurt and betrayal came along with that. She decided she didn't give a damn. Not anymore.
