A colossal boom of thunder ripped across the sky as rain pelted down battering a small island with a bruising deluge. The verdant palms with their long fronded leaves whipped viciously in the wind and as a savage crack of lightning split the sky Nathan Drake fell backwards on his ass, gun skittering away over the slick stone outcrop. Half dazed, one eye bruised almost shut and and a trickle of blood running from his lip he stared up at the hulking man towering over him who stared back with a malicious glare.
"Hey..listen pal.."Drake panted raising a hand. "I think you and I may have gotten off on the wrong foo..oh shit!"
He exclaimed as the hulk grabbed him, yanking him back to his feet as though he weighed little more than a child...
Toes barely touching the stone and almost nose to nose with his opponent Nate hung helplessly in the other man's grip.
"You have been thorn in Savina's side long enough Drake...Now you die eh?" The huge man chuckled maliciously his gaze going to the sheer rock wall the pair of them had tumbled down moments before.
"Wait..wait! Can't we just talk this out like civilized people!?" Nate managed to gasp out as another rumble of thunder echoed above.
The huge man laughed turning and dragging Nate with him toward the rockface, the latter still trying to gain purchase on the slippery rock with no success. Another crack of lightning split the air and Nate found himself hefted momentarily towards the man and then whumph!
His breath was driven from his already battered body as he was thrown backwards. His head cracked against the rock wall and a burst of brightly colored lights erupted in his vision. Dazed he slumped against the rock.
This was it then Nate blinked slowly as blood from a new cut blurred his vision even more... well at least Sully should have...
A new crack of thunder shredded the air. Followed by yet another flash of forked lightning arcing over the island, and as the big man stepped towards his fallen enemy cracking his knuckles new sounds made themselves heard. Sharp cracks and creaks and the sound of branches snapping above them. They grew louder as with a final mighty groan and more cracks a huge sentinel tree fell from the ridge above unable to withstand the elements any longer, snapped twigs and debris falling in its wake.
Trying to fight through the waves of pain presenting themselves Nate glanced up and cringed back as much as he could as the huge trunk slammed into the standing man with bone crushing force before sweeping him from his feet with it's momentum.
It plunged from the ridge taking the man and half the ledge with it. Nate cowered backward arms raising above his head for protection as much good as that would do if more fell. Dust and dirt mixed with leaves and bits of twig showered down pattering onto what was left of the ridge and then silence save for the storm raging on around him...
Nate stared bemusedly at the spot where his attacker had stood moments before his vision slowly fading to blackness...
"I guess that's what people mean when they talk about a rock and a hard place..."
He muttered before total darkness consumed him...
