Becoming Friends
VICTOIRE, THAT'S ENOUGH! Mum has been calling for you for almost two hours, and you are here sleeping like a hibernating beer." Rosa said.
URGHHHHH!!!! What's it , you know it's my last day at home and I'll not be back for a whole freakin' year." Victoire said.
"Yes I know but that doesn't means that you will sleep for the whole day," her elder sister said, pulling sheets off Victoire," Plus, you'll have to wake up because grandmother is here and she wants to see you."
"What! But Why! Why she is here?"
she asked.
"She is here for the guests who are coming up this evening and she also wants to give you some pieces of advice." Rosa said.
"Really! She has already sent me 24 letters giving those stupid advices about keeping the family's name up and not ruin the so called "Family reputation and the Pureblood supremacy though I am going to take all the family's money and run away with a muggle," Victoire said disgustingly, " I will not bear a single word about that so called "Pureblood thing".
"You'll not do any such thing. You remember what mum and dad said ,'Just bear what she says '. She gave us such advices too when we were going for Hogwarts for first year. But please, be sensible and just respect her. After all she is our grandmother," Rosa said frustratingly, " now come down , mum has told her that you are packing your trunk."
And she left the room.
Victoire went down to meet her grandmother in her usual grim mood.
"At last You considered to leave your room, I hope your packing is complete." She said
"Yes,Grandmother." Victoire said respectfully.
"Good, Now as you know that my very close friends and the two most sacred Pureblood Families are coming for dinner.So wear something gleeful and yes," she picked a box from the table , "this is yours." giving her the box.
Victoire opened the box to find a large ring having a symbol "E" on it .
"This it our family ring always reserved for the youngest of the family. Your sister got the pendant and your brother, of course, the true heir has other things to show his belonging to the noble family."
"Ohhhh! Thanks." she said, thinking that she'll never wear it, "so who is the guest coming?"
"The Blacks and the Lestranges. I invited them to congratulate the newly married couple Rodulphus and Bellatrix Lestrange." she told in her high pitched tone.
She got ready at 5 past ten after being scolded by her mother two times.
"You ready?" his brother asked leaning against her bedroom's door.
"Yes," she replied," do I look good?"
"Yeah, you look fine. Hope she doesn't starts scolding us in front of the guests.I am sick of her now." he said.
"Yeah, me too." Victoire replied.
Rosa entered the room wearing a blue dress.
"Listen, Mum has said that that you two have to behave in front of the guests. No mimicking of Grandmother, nor you will behave rudely with anyone." Rosa said.
"Ok your highness we will do as you say." his brother said angrily.
"Now come down. The guests would be arriving soon." she said, "and please you two, behave. For the sake of mum and dad.
"Urghhhh... we are not going to do anything and now stop lecturing us." her brother said.
They all went down. The hall was beautifully decorated. It looked as though their was going to be a marriage ceremony not a dinner.
Her parents, her aunt and uncle and her grandmother were standing near the front door welcoming the guests.
Victoire had met Walburga Black and her husband Orion black a few times when they visited them for some ministry business but was seeing their children for the first time.
She went near her parents and stood thier fake smiling on her guests.
"Victoire, this is Sirius Black and Regulus Black, Walburga's sons," her mother said kindly , " Sirius, Regulus this is my daughter, Victoire and this is my son, Marcus and the girl standing over their," she pointed at Rosa, " is Rosa, my eldest daughter."
The two boys nodded.
"And I hope you all will be good friend. Victoire," she called "Regulus is starting his school too."
"Nice." she said.
The two boys were silent as though they were mute.
"Come on the dinner is ready." her grandmother called to everyone.
The dinner was probably one of the fantastic part of the stupid party.
After the dinner, all the elders engaged in political talks and her mother gestured them all to go upstairs.
Rosa took all of them upstairs and
started showing Narcissa Black
around.
"Thank Merlin, we got rid of that stupid party." Marcus said loudly.
"True." Sirius Black said.
She was surprised at his reaction.
She thought only she and her siblings were like that.
"I didn't realize that you were considering it stupid too," Sirius said, "thought you were a part too."
No, no ,my dear Sirius Black. I am just like you and you are just like me except that I am a Slytherin and you a grifindor," her brother said, " by the way I really liked your last prank."
"Oh that was nothing. Wait till the next year we have planned one of thebiggest prank of the Hogwarts history."
"That's nice, I'll be more than happy to help. Contact me if you want the Slytherin dormitory's password "
"Great! One more addition to the mischief makers." Sirius said arrogantly.
"We are standing here too," Victoire said gesturing at regulus.
"Oh you can go anywhere else. Show regulus your great collection of Books," Marcus said," Hope he'll like it."
"You are Ridiculous," she said, " come on," she grabbed Regulus's hand, "let's go."
She brought him to her room.
"So are you mute or something." she said.
"No." he snapped angrily.
"Sorry if I made you angry," she said," I didn't mean it. I was just angry at my silly brother."
"it's okay. My brother is like that too, an idiot too, he is going to be disinherited If he keep doing everything like this."
"Doing what." she asked.
"Keep teasing Mother by spreading mischief at home and school and by staying friends with that Potter and all the muggleborns." he said disgustingly.
" I don't think they are different than others. And Mr. Potter and Mrs. Potter is really nice. They visit us often. I have never seen their son though." she said.
"They are not, but our society thinks so. And I just follow," he said, "by the way your book collection is quite big. More bigger than mine." he said.
"Yeah, I am quite fond of reading. Spend all my time in reading them," she said, " I am really excited for tomorrow. What do you think in which house you'll be sorted into."
"I hope Slytherin, other wise I'll be treated as Sirius too."
"Is he treated that badly?" she asked.
"Yeah worse," he said, " Mother would have killed him if she was there at the sorting."
"My parents would never have imagined to do such a thing, " she said ," I guess my grandmother would be like that. She would have disinherited me immediately. I am sure I'd be in Slytherin. My whole family has been in Slytherin."
"Mine too,except Sirius." he said.
They spent all the rest time talking until his mother called him and he left.
"So got a good friend." Rosa said.
"Yeah think so." She said, feeling exhausted.
