I sit down to start a new Zoenette fic. My phone rings and I pick it up.

"So, another Zoenette fic, huh, Stormermia? Not inventive enough to ship Marinette with another girl, huh?"

"What do you want, Alix?" I ask with a sigh.

"I want a Alixnette fic for pride month. Or I will find you and delete your MMO characters."

"You fiend! Fine, but if you ever break the fourth wall again, I will kill you off in Zoenette October AU."

"Deal."

It wasn't any one thing that made Marinette aware of just how good Alix looked as Bunnyx. She had been more than slightly attracted to adult Alix both in and out of her suit but seeing Alix so effortless take up the mantle of Time Guardian, did something to Marinette. All the other heroes could give back their Miraculous and leave her. But Alix's commitment, she knew, would span for years into the future. It was a comforting feeling to know she would have at least one of her girl friends with her.

When Alix came back from her time traveling to avoid Monarch, Marinette was dying to ask her so many questions about her trip. But she was not sure if Alix had found out that her klutzy friend was in fact also Ladybug. She had confessed her nervousness to talk to Alix about it to future Bunnyx who just laughed. Alix however had seemed to be avoiding a one on one conversation with her.

"All things have their time, Mini-bug. Just be patient with past me."

So, Marinette took the advice the future from of her crush and waited. One night, near midsummer, she got a text from Alix.

'Can we talk?' Was all it said. Marinette immediately sent back a reply affirming her request. She sat on the chaise as Alix said she would come to her.

A portal opened and Bunnyx stepped into her room.

"Fluff, counter clockwise." Alix said, looking into Marinette's eyes. The transformation dropped, leaving Alix in a very cute outfit.

Marinette's mouth dropped opened, she had never seen the skater girl in something so girly.

Alix was blushing. "Older me hid my other clothes. This was all that was left in my room. Interfering…"

Marinette smiled and moved to cut her off before she said something unflattering about her older self, who was surely watching this interaction. "Well, it does look good on you. But I won't tell anyone else."

Alix gave her a grateful look and sat down on the chaise next to Marinette.

"When I was traveling in time," Alix began, "The first thing I learned was about you and Chat Noir. I was kind of angry at first, knowing you had to carry these burdens alone for so long. Like, I was right there, why didn't you trust me? Then I remembered when I didn't say a word when Chloe bullied you for so long. Why would you trust me?"

Marinette reached over and touched Alix's hand. "But I gave you the rabbit miraculous. I entrusted the future to your hands."

Alix stood up and paced around. "Exactly! I couldn't figure it out. I was going to jump forward and rejoin you all after the war with Monarch had ended, but older me said I needed to experience the same time that you all did. So she took me to her home…"

Alix trailed off and Marinette realized what her friend was having trouble saying. "You met your future partner?"

Alix nodded. "It was shocking to learn that you, Marinette, are my wife."

They said in quiet for some time before Marinette moved closer to Alix. She could feel her heart pound.

"I would like that, Alix. I've liked you for awhile now." Marinette admitted.

She had not thought Alix's face could turn any redder. "Thank you, Marinette. Can we start slow though? Can I take you for coffee first?"

Marinette offered her hand to Alix. "I would love that, Alix."

Alix took her hand and Marinette could see true joy in Alix's eyes. "I've been dreaming of this moment since I saw the wedding ring on future you. I'm sorry it took me so long to gather my courage. Usually, I'm braver than this."

Marinette shook her head. "Seeing the future is one thing. Seizing it, is another. Take all the time you need, Alix. We have many years before we get to that point. I would love to enjoy the ride by your side."

Alix gave her a trouble making grin that make her heart do little flips. "Can I have just one kiss, for now?"

Marinette grinned back. "You're owed a lifetime of kisses, my dear. But I think I can advance one to you, for now."

Marinette learned in and the two shared a deep French kiss. Marinette was left panting as Alix took control and completely dominated the kiss. Despite what Alix had said, Marinette felt her partner's hands roaming her body. She turned to putty, sure the dating time table would be accelerating very quickly.

"There, are you happy, Alix?"

"Pleasure doing business with you, Storm. Can I call you Storm?"

"No."

"Well, Storm. See you later."
