Dating an actress has its upsides, Marinette thought as they snuggled together on her chaise, watching another movie marathon. Zoe was determined to watch every movie in her chosen genre for inspiration on acting. Marinette had to admire her girlfriend's devotion to her art.
She looked out the window and say Paris shiny from the downpour that had been happening since last night. Zoe hadn't planned to sleep over last night, but her parents had forbidden her from returning to the hotel in the storm. Marinette had tried to give Zoe her bed last night, but her partner had refused and taken the chaise.
"I wouldn't be able to sleep." Zoe had said as she snuggled down. "I would be far too nervous being in your bed, alone."
Marinette had considered asking Zoe to join her in the bed, but they had not quite progressed that far in their relationship that she was sure Zoe would be comfortable with that. She knew one of them would have to make that move eventually, but last night had not been that time. The storm outside seemed no closer to abating.
"Do you need to call your family?" Marinette asked her as she enjoyed the warmth Zoe's body provided her.
"No, I suspect I could be missing for a week, and they wouldn't notice. Or if Andre did, my mother and sister would stop him from doing anything about it."
Marinette had her own grievous with Chloe, but that bitter note in Zoe's voice made her hate the spoiled brat even more. Zoe was such a sweet girl; she deserved a loving family that cared about her. Marinette kissed Zoe on the cheek, causing her partner to blush.
"I would notice, if you disappeared." Marinette promised. "I would tear Paris apart until I found you and brought you home."
Zoe paused the movie, tears brimming her bright blue eyes. "Oh, Marinette!"
The two girls fell to kissing, their passions rising with each passing moment. Then, there was a knock on the closed trap door to their room. Maybe it was because Zoe was a girl, but her parents didn't mind her being behind closed doors with her romantic partner.
"Girls, want a snack?" Her mother's voice called up, causing the lovebirds to jump apart, blushing fiercely.
Once they were settled down with their snack, Zoe kissed Marinette on the cheek. "Can I sleep in your bed tonight, Marinette?"
Marinette felt her heart was going to burst with happiness. "Yes, Zoe. I would love to sleep next to you, whenever you want to."
Zoe blushed again. "Forever?"
Marinette leaned in, her lips brushing Zoe's. "If you wish."
They quite forgot about their snack until it was cold after that.
